Opinions de Terra West Broadway
This Hilton Garden Inn has a nice view of the Stanton ferry and Governors island. It has a comfortable king bed with Keurig coffee in room and fresh coffee in the lobby in the mornings. They have a nice workout room and a restaurant on the 2nd floor and plenty of good restaurants near by. Recomend.
Ordered the polpette spaghetti via UberEats. Pasta was still warm upon delivery within 30 minutes. It was also classically good with a balanced portion relative to the price. It’s a bit pricey vs others as it’s in Tribeca / FiDi but that’s a given living in the area. Can I make a similar dish? Of course but I was tired that night and this is when food delivery comes handy.
Cozy corner Italian spot in TriBeCa. The pasta menu is extensive and all dishes we ordered were fantastic. The restaurant staff was very attentive to our large party of eight and the experience couldn’t have been better. Ambiance was great for a birthday celebration. The list of daily specials was extensive and the wine list had plenty of options for all palettes.
We were a party of 6 and ordered many different dishes. We did like the Chichetti (aka tapas) approach and especially liked octopus salad, seafood fritto and Bruschetta ai Funghi. Burratta could have been served with a better (more ripe/tasty) tomato, but the prosciutto it was atop of was decent. Pasta dishes, branzino and lamb shank were great, as well. We brought our own cake to celebrate a birthday and paid $35 fee for it - a bit steep, but buying individual desserts would have cost as much.
OMG the food is amazing! So amazing that I ordered it several times when I was house sitting on the LES. Specifically, the pasta w/ clams still in the shell is perfectly cooked with a creamy sauce. The tuna tartare is so fresh and a really nice guacamole. Though, the 2 "chips" are a little too soft and could stand to be a little crispier. I adored the crab & shrimp cakes. The mushrooms and capers add such a wonderful specialness to this dish. Lastly, the chocolate lava cake with strawberries perfect way to end an evening. Though with delivery the whip cream didn't hold up.
Best spot for a good bite and great drinks. Prices are so reasonable as well. Great service and excellent pizza!
hidden gem in the heart of Tribeca. Amazing healthy Italian food. Gigi is my absolute favorite. Come here all the time.
Gigi was phenomenal, food was really good. Would come again, everyone working was so accommodating and welcoming!!
Don’t let the lower prices fool you. Service was top notch. From the time we arrived with no reservation to the time we left the waitress was on it. Drinks were mixed well with a generous pour. Plates were flavorful, prepared well and portioned nicely. This is a beautiful little spot. I will visit again.
We live nearby and this has consistently been our favorite Italian restaurant for multiple years. Truffle gnocchi is really good (usually on the specials) for those tolerant of lactose. Another favorite is the orecchiette with broccoli rabe and spicy sausage. But everything we've tried at Terra is delicious, from the pasta to the pizza. Also the prices are very reasonable.
Grabbed a quick drink en route to the Halloween parade! Perfect meeting spot. Very cute. Ask for Gigi :)
Fantastic dinner and drinks, Gigi took great care of us and the rest of the staff was warm and welcoming as well. Definitely a go-to summer spot. Dog friendly!
Terra Tribeca is my new favorite restaurant in the neighborhood. The atmosphere is stunning, the wine and the food is amazing, and the staff is incredible, especially Gigi and Umberto. I come here by myself to grab the Pecorino Salad and the Eggplant Appetizer, and stay to have a glass of amazing red wine (or two) 😉. As a NYC native, it’s rare to find good restaurants like this one that feel like home.
Incredible food & unforgettable service! Terra stole our hearts — cozy vibe, flavorful dishes, and the kindest service from Gigi, who truly made our night. Everything was delicious, especially the tiramisu. Can’t wait to come back!
I grew up in Tribeca, went to school up near Columbus Circle. This place was me and my dad's favorite spot. Upon leaving school I would exit the 1 train on Franklin and would occasionally catch him there unprompted and unplanned nursing a glass of wine. This place is a special gem in the heart of the city. Boasting a bevy of authentic dishes at unreasonably reasonable prices.
Great place for a romantic date in incredibly reasonably priced incredible food and good drinks
Delicious food, cozy vibe, and amazing service! Gigi was so kind and helpful — made our dinner extra special. Highly recommend Terra for a real Italian experience!
Gigi and Keme is the stumbled upon Terra el Restaurant by pure chance—or maybe fate. Tucked away in a quiet corner of town, it doesn’t look like much from the outside… but don’t let that fool you. What happens inside is unforgettable. The atmosphere is warm but mysterious, with old wooden tables carved with strange symbols and soft music playing that somehow feels like it’s from both the past and the future. But the true magic of this place is Gigi, the server. From the moment I walked in, she greeted me like she already knew me. Her presence is calm, confident, and just a little otherworldly. She recommended a drink I’d never heard of—some sort of espresso infused with spices and something I still can’t describe—and it tasted like a memory I didn’t know I had. Gigi doesn’t just take your order. She reads the room, speaks softly, and makes you feel like you belong exactly where you are, even if you’ve been lost for a long time. By the end of the night, I felt like I had visited another world. One where food heals, time slows down, and people like Gigi remind you what real hospitality feels like. If you ever find Terra el Restaurant, go in. Trust Gigi. And whatever you do—don’t question the espresso.
The food was absolutely delicious. The service was exceptional and the wait was minimal! Not to mention the ambiance! I definitely recommend this place! You won't regret it at all!
Great service, every dish we got was delicious- and the vibe was lovely. A solid choice for a meal and drinks. Reasonably priced as well!
We are locals here and wanted to take our family and friends who were visiting to dinner (keep in mind we had a party of 11). Terra restaurant was so accommodating last minute and Samet specifically was our server and was absolutely amazing. We had so many laughs, great cocktails, and even better food. Truly a great experience and this place made us feel like family
I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS RESTAURANT. I live in the neighborhood, this is my go to. It’s healthy Italian. Pecorino Salad is soooo good. the staff is also an amazing group of people.
An Unforgettable Dining Experience From the moment we walked in, the ambiance set the tone for what would be an exceptional evening. Dining with my partner, a fashion designer from Italy with an impeccable taste for both food and wine, we were looking for a place that could truly impress—and this restaurant exceeded every expectation. The wine selection was nothing short of outstanding. Each glass was thoughtfully chosen and paired beautifully with our dishes, elevating the entire meal to another level. The food? Simply excellent. Every course was a masterpiece—fresh, flavorful, and elegantly presented. But what truly made the night special was the service. The staff was warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. A special mention goes to Humberto, who went above and beyond to ensure our experience was flawless. His genuine hospitality, attention to detail, and radiant personality made us feel like honored guests rather than just customers. Humberto isn’t just good at what he does—he’s amazing, the kind of person who turns a great night into an unforgettable one. This restaurant is more than a place to eat—it’s an experience worth savoring. We’ll definitely be back.
Our first time back since pandemic (so glad the restaurant is still here!). Our food was just as wonderful as we remembered. We started with Nero D'Avola wine (my daughter's fav!), gimlet, s. blanc and chianti. Drinks were nice size. Then, olives with feta (really nice feta, but olives do have pits), meatballs (a hit!). Entrees: pesto pasta with artichokes (so creamy), lobster ravioli (my adult son was over the moon with this! The ravioli was thick with nice size lobster pieces), gnocchi with marinara sauce (good, but would have preferred a creamy tomato sauce that is often served in gnocchi), octopus special (lots of potato chunks made it filling), truffle mac n cheese (very smooth, with nice amount of truffle flavor in the pasta and topping), & side of garlic spinach to round things out. We couldn't pass up dessert & had one of each: Cheesecake (really creamy, great texture and surprise creme brulee style topping & came with scoop of vanilla ice cream & a few perfect marinated strawberry slices, outstanding!), tiramisu (nice thick square, my son enjoyed every bite), choc soufflé with ice cream (my husband certainly enjoyed). Food was served quickly, too (which on the night before Thanksgiving was impressive) by a friendly server. Anyway, we will be back! Happy Thanksgiving-
Had an amazing time at Terra! The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully plated. The whole vibe of the restaurant was warm and inviting. But what truly made the experience stand out was Gigi. She was the best! Super friendly, attentive, and made sure we were well taken care of the entire night. Her energy and service made everything even better. Highly recommend this place — and if you’re lucky enough to have Gigi as your server, you’re in for a great time!
We had a wonderful dinner at Terra — cozy atmosphere, delicious food, and fantastic service. Our server Gigi was outstanding: warm, attentive, and made great recommendations. The pasta was fresh, the risotto was full of flavor, and the tiramisu was unforgettable. Great wine list too! Highly recommend if you’re craving authentic Italian with exceptional service. Bravo! 🇮🇹✨
Gigi, great experience , Gigi truly made our dining experience unforgettable. From the moment we were seated, she was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and incredibly warm. The ambiance at Terra was already lovely, but her service elevated everything. She gave thoughtful recommendations and timed everything perfectly—from appetizers to dessert. The food itself was fantastic: fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and beautiful presentation. But honestly, what will bring us back is Gigi’s outstanding service. It’s rare to feel so genuinely welcomed and cared for at a restaurant. Highly recommend both the restaurant and asking to sit in Gigi’s section if you can!
Tables are sat very close to each other to make more room for capacity I assume, so it may seem a bit hard to get around sometimes. Came here looking for the lamb chops I saw online but found out it’s not a main but an appetizer (had two orders of the same to make a main). Very delicious and staff allow you to split bills (based on what you ordered actually, not just splitting equally so we’re actually surprised)!
Great Italian spot! Cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and delicious food. The seafood pasta was fresh and flavorful, and the Margherita pizza had a perfect thin crust. Finished with a light, creamy tiramisu — amazing. Good portions, fair prices. Would definitely come back!
Amazing service Keme, Humberto and Carlos were the best. Food was perfect we got calamari special, mango salad, octopus salad and the steak everything was perfectt!! Definetly will be back!!
The most amazing atmosphere and staff! The bartender was the sweetest man, he made us feel so welcome, and we will definitely be coming back!! Food was incredible and great portions for the price.
I came here to have dinner with my daughter. I had pasta and tiramisu for dessert. Everything was excellent
Had a lovely dinner with my fiance here. Food was really delicious (I love their crab cakes and branzino), but I love the staff. Gigi was super friendly and Kemi makes an insanely delicious whiskey sour. Go try it out :)
Terra is the best place to have dinner in Tribeca. Especially if you’re gluten free, they make amazing GF pizza. The staff is amazing and food is great. Could not recommend more.
Came for a late lunch on Sunday (around 3) and they weren’t very busy. Staff is super nice. My waitress suggested a few dishes that were solid choices. There was a lot to choose from on the menu. I had a glass of the Gavi and Pinot Grigio. Both very good. We started with the grilled octopus salad and we’re surprised at what a large portion it was. My boyfriend ordered the mushroom fettuccine and also the branzino. Both were good. I must say, the mushroom risotto special was spectacular. Very pleased with the choice of restaurant. Clean and beautiful.
I’ve been coming to Terra every other few weeks to enjoy a solo dinner. I always order their tuna tartare because it’s the best I’ve ever tried, and they definitely don’t spare fish. The wine selection is also great. My favorite about this place though is the atmosphere. Very lovely. Highly recommend!
I walked around to find a restaurant or bar that’s open on Christmas Day and they did! The food was amazing - we had a risotto, truffle gnocchi, and burrata which were their specials. I also loved the ambience - high ceiling, long bar counters and tables. I will definitely come back.
This was an amazing spot to grab a quick bite or a full meal!! I got the special, spaghetti carbonara, and it was very good! The service was great and very attentive. I would definitely come back!
The hostess was so kind, and our server Gigi was the BEST. This was my second time at Terra with Gigi as our server and she brings such an amazing energy and was so patient when we had questions or needed extra time to make a decision. Food was delicious, love their pizza and pastas. Great wine selection as well! Had such a great time eating outside people watching and enjoying our food - definitely recommend! Looking forward to going back and seeing Gigi soon!
Beautiful interior with such character! The staff couldn't have been more kind and helpful. I had their Wild Mushroom Pizza (Funghi Montasio) and it was easily one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The Mozzarella Saporita was also a delicious appetizer and the bites I had of my wife's Fettuccine ai Funghi was also very flavorful. All dishes were very affordable. Highly recommend this wonderful Italian gem!
Cozy go-to spot in Tribeca. Good food and good prices. For those with gluten allergies, they are very accommodating and knowledgeable. They have gluten free pizza however it is not celiac safe. They were willing to boil GF pasta in separate water though! I got the skirt steak and subbed potatoes for fries (fries are in a shared fryer with gluten containing items).
I keep going back for the Insalata Nizzarda—it's easily one of my favorite dishes. While everything else on the menu is solid, classic Italian, the Nizzarda stands out for me. The restaurant offers a lovely atmosphere, especially when you get a chance to sit outside. There are a few tables on the sidewalk, and on a nice day, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy a meal while soaking in the neighborhood vibe.
I recently dined at this wonderful Italian restaurant and had an exceptional experience. The atmosphere was fantastic, combining the charm of modern Italy with the vibrant spirit of New York. The interior was beautifully designed, making for a perfect dining ambiance. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, especially with my children. As for the food, it was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the Fettuccine Bolognese, which was rich and flavorful. My children loved the Spaghetti and Meatballs and my spouse thoroughly enjoyed the Mushroom Truffle Fungi. Each dish was a perfect $18 and very fulfilling. Overall, this restaurant offers a delightful blend of great food, beautiful ambiance and excellent service. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking for an authentic Italian dining experience a few blocks away from PIER 25/26.
When arriving around 4pm the restaurant was empty but when heading out a few hours later there was no empty seat in the house. The servers did a great job and sang for me for my birthday! I had the chance to try octopus for my first time and it was delicious. I enjoyed the space between tables, since it wasn’t tight like a lot of NYC bars. There is a large selection of drinks and the serving sizes were perfect. Enough to get full and finish your plate without feeling like you overate. I also liked that the restaurant served clients of all ages. Families, friend groups and couples can dine at Terra and feel comfortable.
Absolutely delicious pizza!!! It was clutch! Shrimp artichoke and a special made one with the grilled veggies - both fanatstic. I'm not always a beet guy, but i rolled the dice and was not disappointed. One of us had the bolognese and the noodles and sauce were great. Nice cool room temp on a fairly warm day.
I had dinner by myself here a few days ago. I stumbled upon this place after running an errand in this neighborhood. Let me preface that I’m originally from Italy and my mom’s cooking sets a high standard. This restaurant is authentic and the food is delicious. I had the prosciutto with buratta followed by the gnocchi and the tiramisu for dessert. No complaints and would definitely return. Portion sizes and prices were fair. I ate outside and would recommend this for a date night spot or getting dinner with a small group of friends. Finally, the wait staff was amazing. I will definitely be returning here.
Starting off the BEAUTIFUL indoor and outdoor design so much green plants. Here have the had the perfect weather for outdoor terrace seating. And the mini dessert platter with the yummiest bites esp the strawberry custard tart & and hazelnut cake. The oysters were so soft and fresh and the salmoriglio sauce made it so savory and special.
The food was wonderful but the view from their outside seating on a sunny day is hard to beat. If you’d appreciate good outdoor dining in Manhattan, void of the tourists, this is the place for you. I had their beet and goat cheese salad (named much more fancily on the menu) and paired it with an order of their meatballs. So delicious! The bread was complementary. Prices were reasonable and their wine list was composed of a good selection. I opted for a Prosecco which paired nicely with my meal. Overall, would recommend.
Perfect vibe for small gathering over lunch. Their tiramisu is excellent, with the fingers soaked with Kahlua. The cream cheese is not too sweet, with smooth texture. The grilled octopus salad was delicious as well. The octopus was so tender and resolved in my mouth. We also got tuna tartare, which was also delicious. A lot of other customers got wine as well.
Wonderful place to eat. Not cheap, but worth your money. Excellent food quality, awesome menu options and really tasty stuff overall. Staff were very elegant, it actually made me feel a bit uncomfortable because I'm not used to being treated so respectfully. Coincidentally, we had just had dinner at their sister restaurant Aria the night before and happened to enter Terra the next day without knowing their relation, but were very happy to double down on their excellent food. Highly recommended.
Lives up to the expectations. Fine selection of wines. Good sized portions. Delectable menu. Don't miss their lamb shanks & risotto.
food was super good! it was a party of six and everything everybody got tasted amazing! it did take a little bit for our food to get out but our waiter was super sweet, will definitely come back :)
The Aperol Spritz and the tuna tartare were delicious—definitely recommended. The atmosphere is nice. However, I think the service from the waitstaff could be improved, as it felt a bit disorganized and inattentive. Also, I ordered my drink during happy hour, but it was charged at the regular price. Still, the food made up for it.
A charming little spot that surprised us in all the right ways. The pizza? Solid — flavorful, well-balanced, with a surprisingly tasty crust that rounded things off nicely. Not exactly life-changing, but definitely a very respectable slice. But then came the panna cotta — and according to my mom (who’s not easy to impress), it was absolutely top-tier. Silky, creamy, just the right amount of sweetness — an unexpected highlight that stole the show. Price-performance? Spot on. And if your Italian is more than just “ciao,” you’ll feel right at home. Friendly vibes, a touch of Italian flair, and zero tourist-trap nonsense. Just good food, good people — and a little taste of something special. Recommended with a wink.
Probably one of the richest sauces I've encountered for pasta in an Italian restaurant. Their base sauce for their pasta dishes is rich, thick, creamy and flavour rich, hinting at it being done the right way (slow cooked) which, makes most red sauce based dishes here beautiful! I had the seafood linguini which was a delight. The wine selection is very decent too. What makes this place special is the beautiful decor and chic ambience, which makes it a perfect spot for a good date or a quick lunch or even a slow wine and meal brunch or evening with friends! A definite recommendation from me!
Yesterday, me and the homie came here fresh out of an immersive experience called "Destination Cosmos" that really just turned out to be a 45-minute NASA propaganda piece. Wouldn't recommend, but Terra was there to ease the pain of our shared trauma. We sat outside and shared a bottle of Chianti (obviously) and the Rosemary Parmesan Fries. Nothing quite like a good fries and wine combo, it's just so dynamic. Jamal Murray and Jokic-esque. They serve water in a former Bulleit Bourbon Whiskey bottle and I couldn’t have been more impressed with a seemingly innocuous detail. I don’t know. Good glassware gets me, it’s the little things. When I lived in Tribeca, I frequented Terra often as it is a tasteful ambiance without being over the top. It really feels to me like an Italian Tapas place, and what more could you ask for in this life? It is also reasonably priced. The words "reasonably priced" and "Tribeca" rarely go hand in hand, so thank you Terra.
Overall the food was quite good here at Terra. It’s hard to beat the price right in the heart of Tribeca. The atmosphere: was a small intimate dining room. The design was a mix of modern and contemporary; overall, it was nice. The service: was a bit slow. While the staff was friendly, I don’t think they have a real bartender because I had toe explain what a French 75 was. The food: was very good for the price. This is a great go-to for $18 pasta dishes!
Extremely disappointing. This used to be our favorite place to go before or after a visit to Aire baths. The "post covid" menu is so underwhelming. We felt this place was different as soon as we arrived. The bread was stale, the solo glass of Chardonnay was not very good as I had a headache shortly after only a few sips, a indicator of excess sulfites. The clams came out and we're warm not hot and that's odd considering they looked burnt. Shrimp was good but in the dish the garlic was blackened to carbonization which ruined the dish.
Very disappointing after the number of recommendations we were given from our friends in tribeca. Five of us ordered, no one was impressed by their meal, and we did feel pretty deceived by the surprise pricing for pasta dishes on their specials menu. Mine, which cost almost double the on-menu pasta dishes, had mussels that were very tough and noodles that were inconsistently cooked. The server was not very kind at all, I’m not sure what we did because none of us complained or made a fuss at any point. Overall, it wasn’t the worst experience, but I would certainly never return or recommend this location.
The food was alright, service was extremely slow. Our server Alessandro had a bad attitude; I don't think he likes people of color cuz he was really nice and attentive to everyone else but really standoffish to us. Very weird, everyone else got us bread and napkins. He didn't check in not once, just very rude. The menu is cheap and drinks are inexpensive objectively which is why they're probably popular but overall there's nothing special about this place.
I have been there a few times (not from the US) and this time when I booked it turned out not only they moved accross the street in a tiny unit, but they restaurant was under construction and they were still taking reservations. That was extremely disappointing to find out last minute and figure out where to eat. Used to be super yummy and nice!
Disappointed the pasta was not good at all. It was undercooked and dry on the inside, it was like extremely chewy and hard. It also had no flavor at all. The portion itself was so small was had to take a look at the menu from another table to make sure we hadn’t ordered an appetizer. There were 6 of us and none of us like what we ordered and agreed we can cook a better meal at home, we should have. The waitress was also rude, we never got a receipt either after we paid, she took the pay machine and stormed off without a word.
This restaurant is overpriced for its basic food. The atmosphere during dinner was very loud and busy, cramped in a small space indoors. Specifically for food, I ordered a gnocchi with tomato sauce which was very bland and had very little flavoring in the tomato sauce. The tap water tasted very bad and I won’t be coming back.
Disappointing, wanting to see every server in a video for you working at mobile phones one on the floor and looking at Client. This is the reason that I come back to you again you have three tables 2 tables one table you were focus should be on the floor, not on your phone and who’s managing this restaurant it’s despicable Myself. I would not be the way that I would do business it’s sad and not professional.
I went to Terra last night for dinner with friends and had a really disappointing experience. I made a reservation 2 days in advance (there were plenty of options) and showed up on time ready to eat. Upon arrival we were told by the hostess that our table was currently occupied by another party who they were "trying to hurry along" but apparently wouldn't leave? The place was packed aside from a long 8 person table that sat empty. When I asked about that table I was told "well they went with the prix fix option and payed $200 per person in advance so we can't seat you there." We were told we could wait at the bar (where there wasn't any seats, let alone standing room), OR we could eat outside in their heated patio. When i turned around to look at the outdoor space, it was completely empty. The host said, "It's really warm and nice!" And i asked "then why isn't anyone sitting in there?" She didn't respond. So we opted to sit out there and order drinks and appetizers while we waited 30 mins for our table to be ready. Once outside, we ordered 4 drinks and two appetizers. Ten minutes later, 2 of our 4 drinks arrived, followed 15 minutes later by the rest of our drinks. My boyfriend was constantly having to get up to close the screen door that was consistently left open by the staff, letting in the 35 degree cold air into their supposedly "very warm" outdoor seating area. We had ordered two appetizers, one of them made it outside during the HOUR we were out there, and the other one never came. We were finally told our table was ready so we moved inside to be seated. I mentioned to the hostess that this was a really disappointing experience and that she should have prioritized a reservation that was confirmed earlier that day over walk in guests. She offered to provide us with tequila shots or a complimentary glass of Prosecco which I declined. I asked her to please bring out the appetizer we had ordered over 30 minutes prior. The apps and the drinks were great (despite arriving late). We ordered our food and 1 hour and 30 minutes after our reservation was scheduled, we finally were ready to dig in - except they forget my order. Instead, they tried to place the side of potatoes we had ordered for the table in front of me as if it was my entree...the waitress came over about 10 minutes later and said "Sorry, there's so many orders in the kitchen for the same item so it got confusing. They're making yours right now." I want to mention the simplicity of Terra's menu. There are maybe 8 pasta options? So obviously a simple gnocchi pomodoro would be ordered pretty frequently, right? Finally 20 minutes after my friends' meals arrived, mine came out. The waitress offered to comp our next round of drinks but we had all already had 2 (since it had been over two hours at this point), so only two of us ordered another round. You'd THINK she might then just comp 2 that we had already drank but nope! I'd like to think the host would have gone above and beyond to - at the very least - make sure our food came out on time, especially after being so careless with her prioritization of reservations, but there was no accountability, very little attempt to remedy the situation and the overall experience just left a terrible taste in our mouths. The food at Terra is great, but unfortunately not great enough to make up for the trash service. Save your time and your sanity!
The food was very much the worst Italian food I've had in NYC. The pizza base was soaked in oil. The service was also terrible. Our server was often absent, couldn't even seat us, didn't introduce the menu and didn't bring us condiments as asked (Parmesan and red chilli flakes). What's worse is that they made us feel inadequate even though we were dressed appropriately. I think they were racist. Other tables were actually getting service. The only thing good was the wine because it made me forget I was being judged for literally existing. Don't go here.
Horrific pizza like it’s from a dollar store, other stuff isn’t very tasty either. Nice space though. Update: got poisoning from here
