Updated Jan 28: Came here again on Jan 27, this Kopan location really is by far the best! Both in taste and presentation. Really recommend this location!!! Original: Really like the atmosphere of this Kopan location!! All the waitresses were super super friendly here. They pay attention to your drink level and ask whether you needed refills and whether everything is alright. The presentations of all the food we've ordered was amazing! Sushi comes with the correct size and fish is fresh. Rolls comes in good portion sizes and have their own unique flavors to them. The only thing I wish they can improve is their wasabi, it feels a bit too grainly and powdery and not enough flavor to it. Would definetly recommend and come back here to dine again!!!

I use to go here when it was Sushi Damu. Have to say I love this place better. The food is great and the presentation is ridiculous, in a good way. The atmosphere is also really nice. Only thing is the booths along the wall are a little small. I took my kid and it was a little uncomfortable for her to sit on my lap while we ate. Other than that everything is great, highly recommend.

Under new ownership and it’s given this place such a glow up! The servers were wonderful and so attentive. The lighting and decor provided a lovely calming ambiance. The food was incredible! I ordered the Lemon Roll and the spicy Tuna roll. I also tried the beef bone soup. First, that beef bone soup was true soul food and the rolls were so good I forgot about the ginger! That’s a big deal for me because (I know you’re not supposed to) I normally eat my rolls with so much ginger. This is the first time that I completely forgot the ginger, wasabi, and soy sauce existed. Definitely recommend trying the new menu items and experiencing their incredible hospitality.

Today was my first time at Sushi Damu and it was a great first experience. We didn't have to wait long to be seated. The staff was very attentive. We had our main waiter and at least 3 others came to ask us if we needed anything. The food came out fast and tasted great. It's a little far from LA but I would definitely recommend it and definitely going back.

What is there not to love about this place. Quality ingredients with the best chefs to make your food fresh made to order. Stopped by with family and friends. We ordered appetizers, rolls and nigiri. If you love fish this is definitely the spot. Order everything salmon- salmon belly, nigiri, hand rolls. All of the salmon here is fresh and very buttery. The fried rolls and delicious as well. The spider, fried oyster, dragon and scallop roll are a must order. Service here is great. The chefs, management staff and our waiter were very attentive. Don't expect a long wait for your food to come out. The sushi to rice ratio for nigiri is great around 3-1. Overall, we loved our meal and experience. We came in a busy Friday and got our table in less than a 15 minute wait. They don't have a inside waiting area so do expect to wait outside if you come during the busy times. Highly recommend this spot if you love sushi and AYCE!

I’ve been here a few times, even before the remodel and change of name. The food is really good here, service is fairly slow, usually 1-2 servers and pricey. Small portions and it’s really pricey but food is good. I bought the large sashimi boat and I felt that it wasn’t really worth the price. Definitely will not get it again. Jalapeño bombs were decent but very very small. It’s basically 2 jalapeño cut into halves. I really enjoyed the Sapporo roll, volcano roll, and the zen was great. I’m not a fan of baked salmon roll and the super Philadelphia roll is mid, just small portions. Most of the premium rolls are $14.95-$18 each and are about 6-8 rolls but small rolls. Definitely not our go to spot but we will come sometimes if we going to the movies next door. Under the new ownership, this place is definitely much better than Damu. The new remodeled interior is amazing. Really pretty and unique.

My husband and I loved this place! Today was our first time coming here and we will be coming back. Fish was fresh. Tried cold sake for the first time and it was VERY strong for my taste since I'm not much of a drinker. Rolls were delicious. There are so many options in the menu. We went for the all you can eat sushi that costs about $25 a person. Staff was friendly but when I had questions for them regarding the food they were not very knowledgeable about what the food or drinks tasted like, for example the sake. But other than that we enjoyed our dinner.

The food here is sooo delicious especially the sushi. However the service is so slow ! It ruins the whole experience. Expect to wait 15 minutes to order and 35 minutes to be served, and additional 20 minutes to get the check. That how much I waited on a weekday with low volume customers.

The place is small. Seemed cozy and we sat at a booth. There was a table with a different party very close to us. So we were speaking quietly out of respect for the other customers. Not my favorite. Found myself whispering. Angel our waiter was rude in more than one way. He also did not know what an IPA was. No big deal. But we felt extremely rushed by him and he also forgot our sauce. The rolls had very small portions of fresh fish. Didn’t like the taste of their Salmon sashimi. I’ve had better. Way better at Marui Sushi in Corona. Yes, it’s a drive but definitely worth. Their octopus is also amazing and they always serve the freshest fish in my opinion. (At Marui). Our visit was short and unpleasant!

Pretty sad my favorite sushi spot just treated me horribly , says they close at 10 and we walked in at 9:03 and were told last call was done standing in the restaurant for 5 minute without anyone speaking to us. They took a look at us and smirked in the weirdest way. Felt disrespected in the highest way. Disgusted and will be writing every review place a bad one along with sending this to the better business bureau …. I 100% place this on how we looked smh …. BTW food is amazing and we were going once a week for months ….
