Great place for BBQ. The prices are reasonable and the service and food are great. My favorite meat is the St. Louis style ribs and they are flavourful. There's ample parking in the back and lots of dining space along with a bar area. They offer catering services as well as a to go service. Staff are friendly and there's adequate access for wheelchairs. I definitely recommend going to this place
We've honestly been coming here for decades(Before KIDS) and were so happy on our most recent visit, I realized this review was long overdue. The friendly hostess was assisting another customer when we entered but she still greeted us and smiled as she let us know she'd just be a minute. As we entered the dining room we observed families and couples enjoying delicious looking food, I couldn't wait to eat!!!! We ordered the All-American Feast, added the side green salad, garlic mashed potatoes and the mac n cheese. We also ordered both desserts and were in heaven when we had the banana pudding and bread puddings arrived. The food came out fast and hot, staff even checked on us to see if we needed anything. Every staff member we encountered was nice, friendly and very accessible. We felt very welcomed and taken care of. We had a great meal and the service was fantastic!!! We can't wait to come back.
This is a greay place for happy hour the prices on the food and drinks are beyond reasonable and the service there is aleays outstanding and you can not get enough of those little corn breads higly recomend for a quick bite with great taste
Nice clean restaurant with friendly staff. Big parking lot. Awesome food. We always get the feast for two. BBQ ribs, chicken, corn on the cob,, pulled pork, fries, beans, corn bread, no coleslaw but potato salad. Now they don't have potato salad, which wad very good, :-(. It's only $30 on Tuesdays for this huge platter.
Louis the chef ensured the ribs fell off the bone. Corn bread was very good. The all American feast, had everything and more. I will be back!!
A really good restaurant for a really good price. Me and some friends came here before a movie and were seated very quickly. They take reservations and the food is really good. I found the portions to be generous given the price for the food. And last but certainly not least the service was great. Our waiter was prompt and attentive which was only made more impressive given the sizeable crowd. I recommend this place to everyone.
Great spot, amazing food priced very well (really affordable) Service was an A+
Really good. Aslnwalways. Haven't been here in a while but still very good. They have changed their menu. Added some good items, removed some old one's. Devil spit bloody Mary is gone but they made it for me anyways. Burned butts were new and great. Feast for two was a lot of food. See pictures for yourself
Had takeout was so good like old times been coming here 20 years work training center around corner good memories great foods drink fun.
The food was delicious and the service was spectacular! And they did all of this with a staff of 2. Amazing!
The store rep (Olo L)? Was very helpful. Made sure my order was as I requested. Food was delicious
First time eating Famous Dave's. We loved it so much. The care put into the preparation and packaging of our food was absolutely amazing. The food tasted delicious 😋 my favorite was the shrimp and potatoes dish oh my goodness!!! We will definitely order again. Great job to this specific location. We really appreciate the care you put into the food. Update: I ordered once again and ..oh my goodness 😋!! So incredibly yummy!! Last two photos are the most recent order. Famous Dave's sassy salad (beef brisket with greens, tomatoes, bacon, cheese and potato ) and Cajun Shrimp Boil. Amazing. Your team does such a great job always. This location is special
I haven't been here in years... but last night the food was exactly like I remembered it.... alot and delicious.
Good BBQ place, the food is consistently delicious and well cooked. When we eat with a large party we get the All-American BBQ Feast and we can still never finish it. Large portions at a good price. The potato wedge fries are the best. The food could come out faster from the kitchen but the servers are always very nice. We also love all the BBQ sauces on the table and the freshly fried potato chips.
It’s 10degrees in NY. I placed my order while commuting home and picked my dinner up in 2mins or less. I was greeted with a smile and the service was efficient. A hot delicious dinner was a good close to a long day.
Fun place, good food, I love that the servings are not huge and you can finish your dish! Great service...
American comfort food for the win. Very nice discovery foods. The manager and staff are extremely friendly. They take their time for quality. Address any issues with them and they accommodate accordingly. They get a lot of movement so keep that in mind, there are busy rushes, that is the cost of a recognized good restaurant, especially during lunch time, so plan with time.
The place was nice and homey feel. The food was excellent. I ordered 3 meat and 2 sides plate and red singrea. All was wonderful. However, care for having to pay up front, getting my drink order after my meal was delivered and going to the bathroom and it look like this, which was very disappointing.
What a great place! We ordered three huge plates of meat — and it was absolutely worth it. There were chicken wings, pork ribs, and beef, all cooked perfectly. Everything was so tender, juicy, and flavorful — the kind of meat that melts in your mouth. I started with the pork ribs — amazing! Juicy, smoky, and full of flavor. Couldn’t even make it to the chicken legs — I was so full that I had to take the rest to go (which was nice of them to offer). The mashed potatoes were incredible — soft, buttery, and creamy, just like the ones my mom used to make back home. The beans were great too, and the corn in sour cream or buttery sauce was just delicious. Even the onion rings were crispy and perfectly golden. Overall, everything was fresh, tasty, and generously served. Prices were more than fair. If you love good food and hearty portions — this place is a must-try. Highly recommend!
We stopped by during the weekday for lunch and it was not crowded so we were seated right away. Lisa waited on us and she was friendly and fantastic. Food was absolutely delicious and having various BBQ sauces available at each table was great! Recommend the pulled pork sandwich - it's super juicy and tender. The fries were nice and crispy outside and soft inside.
For sure a best place to have a lunch or dinner if you love BBQ Meats. The flavour filled and thrilling brisket and the fries with the side of sauce you want is really an amazing meal with every bite you take. The tender meat was really delicious 🤤. This restaurant Meet an elite standard by which I could judge all other restaurants in terms of review. The staff is always ready to help, the premises are extremely clean, the atmosphere is lovely, and the food is both delicious and beautifully presented. For sure would visit again.

this is my favorite restaurant I've ever been to and it also gives you Oreos with the chicken tenders!!!!!!!!
This was my first time at Famous Dave’s in Westbury and it was great. The food was delicious and definitely the highlight of the experience. The way they do service is a little different and kind of confusing at first, but I actually liked it. You order and pay at the counter, then the food gets brought to you. It was nice not having full table service and avoiding the pressure of a big expected tip. It did take a little while for the food to come out, but once it did, it was fantastic. Based on the food alone, I will definitely go again.
Food was very good but on an evening where there should have been a wait for seating, there was none. Dining room was empty. I'm not sure how they keep their doors open.
Food was good. Place is clean except the bathrooms which are dirty and not kept up. You order and pay right at the entrance which is interesting as you have to tip before you see what the food and service are like. The beans were not good, seemed like a can was poured into a bowl, definitely a skip. Ribs were good, brisket was good although my partner didn't like it. Sauces are good and will make anything taste good.
Coming in, I thought it was going to be super packed because of all the reviews, but it wasn't. There's a side with a waiter, and then there's a side where you pay for what you want, and someone comes to you with the food. The food I had was just okay. I had two main choices. It did fill me up for about $21. Afted my food arrived, they had forgotten to give me eating utensils, but we are human, it happens. I'll give it a go another time thoug.
Mixed up reservation. Ran out of chips before we could have some. Delayed order that took about 45 minutes to begin the meal. Stuff happens. However, servers were spectacular. Management apologized. They discounted the food and made up for the mess. Attitude is everything. For that, they get 4 stars.
Overall, the restaurant was acceptable. However, I was bewildered that it does not provide hot tea or coffee. I patronized the established for the BBQ. Whereas, overall, the meat was acceptable, it was not fall off the bone as I expected. Service was excellent.
Famous Dave's is so good! The whole decor of the restaurant really has the whole "country bbq" feel which is really cool. There typically can be a wait especially on Fridays and Saturdays. Despite there being wifi, I don't find that it works and almost always end up disconnecting and just using my cellular. The happy hour deal is really nice, $5 signature cocktails 3-6pm & 8pm-close. I got the Cranberry Vodka Cooler which is really good, but I got it without the mint. The BBQ chips that are brought to the table are nice and crunchy, but seem to get more and more spicy as you go down the bowl. I ordered the Georgia Chopped Pork which is really good, but it needs extra sauce. Rich and Sassy comes on it, so that it what I added. My mom got the Feast For One. It is so big and comes with such a variety of food. There is a roll of paper towels on the table and trust me, you will need it. The cornbread that came with both of our meals is so good. For my second drink, I got the Smokin' Island Iced Tea which is basically a Long Island Iced Tea, but the smoker wasn't working so it really was a Long Island Iced Tea. It was the first time I had had one so it was good, but the Vodka Cooler was better. For dessert, I always get the Banana Pudding. It is so good, but quite big so save room.
Ribs and Corn Bread were great. The rest of the three meat platter made me wish I had just gotten more ribs.
So we haven't been here in over 10 years. For good reason. Last time we went it was so disappointing. The place was laid out as a regular chain restaurant trying to pack as many people as possible in. The food seemed as if it were cooked a few days earlier, completely dry, devoid of any flavor, meat was tough, very dry. Service was below sub-par. We didnt really eat anything and sadly any complaints only got us coupons, so we left with a big chip on our shoulders. Fast forward 10+ years, this place is totally different. Laid out like a southern ribs joint and bar. 2 seating sections aside from the bar. right in front is table service. to the side, you place your order, pay for your order and you get called to get your food, no table service. kinda like a slow/fast food joint. We got the roast chicken and st louis ribs combos, a burger, fried pickles, mac and cheese (kraft not homemade), smoked wings. All wings are smoked before fried and sauced. very nice flavor. Chicken is fresh and juicy. Ribs too, excellent! Not exactly fall off the bones, but you can tell they are fresh. Nicole was our server. That woman was hustlin and bustlin! I'd definately try to get her again! She knows the food. She recommended the beans as a side, she was right. All meals come with fresh corn bread. Prices were definately agreeable. Thankfully we now have a local ribs place we were hoping for years ago!
the food here is pretty good however the 2 times i’ve had the food from here, the corn is over boiled and mushy. we paid an extra $3.50 for the beans because i love beans only to receive a hand sized miniature cup. minus one star for that. i would like to see the pickled onions as a side on the bbq feast. the coleslaw is mid. all in all this is a decent bbq spot since the bbq itself speaks for itself edit: ordered a massive order again and got a hairy gift this time. pretty disappointed.
The ribs were cooked as I like them and the side-sauces were very good and a good assortment. The only negative about the food was the corn... A bit over cooked and soft (mushy). It was tasty and clean. We were served shortly after we sat down.
The food: Very good. Our table of 3 thoroughly enjoyed the ribs, brisket, fries, and corn muffins. The BBQ sauces, not particularly good. The interior is very dated, unwelcoming, and empty on a Friday evening. The booth, menus, and condiment bottles were sticky with BBQ sauce. For the area, the large restaurant footprint is unnecessary and obviously under utilized. I would like to see this place as a small shack on a major road. It would do so well, as the food is that good.
It's not how I remembered. The food was mediocre. Not bad but just not as good as it used to be. The cornbread tastes like they used cake batter, not a winner. The restaurant is divided into 3 parts. Take out, dine in with full waiter service and self-serve. With self-serve, you put your order in with the hostess and sit anywhere in the designated area. You get your own water and containers to wrap leftovers. I'm guessing all this came about after Covid. It's lacking some factors that would make me want to return, unfortunately.
The meat is good, but not Texas Roadhouse level. The service was good, but there was only one server serving my one table. Maybe because it was Xmas eve , lots of take outs, no dining in.
The food was amazing and all the BBQ was on point, service was fast, the only thing I don't like is the waitress put all the straws under arm, I found that disgusting and instead of bringing the sodas and drinks in a waiter she brought it struggling in her bare hands. They need to step up on the service part, because I am thinking how are they handling the food where we can't see. Again good food. This was location 1060 Corporate Dr, Westbury, NY 11590
Food is great, but service is lacking. The bar is always incredibly slow, even when the restaurant was empty. You're better off ordering your drink at the bar so the bartender has to look you in the eye while they don't make your drink 🥲 Father's Day was packed and they did not have corn bread for at least an hour
The staff here are SO KIND, some southern hospitality must've moved up north, haha! The staff remained warm & kind hearted when handling the minor mistake in my order, and even offered me a complimentary dessert. The food here is delicious, especially the sauce, but the desert is even better!!
We liked this place, and would recommend as a BBQ place, managing expectations as a chain. The 4 of us were seated right away Sunday 130p, we chose the full service. (You can order at the counter and sit in a different area, or take out). 2 of us did the lunch special which is nice to have on the menu, but found it average. We also ordered a full rack of baby back and then St Louis ribs, and they were very good. Mac n cheese was surprisingly good with the peppers, and the banana pudding was sweet and good. Food came quick, we'd come back. Enjoy!
I must say the juicy ribs were outstanding, cooked to perfection with an exquisite taste that left me wanting more. Their corn bread and corn on the cob were also amazing, a perfect complement to the ribs. However, the Texas Beef Brisket Sandwich was a disappointment as it didn't match the picture and was quite bland. I wouldn't recommend it. On the bright side, our food was ready when we arrived, and parking was available. The prices were reasonable for the quality of food. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for their outstanding ribs and delicious sides.

This restaurant has changed for the worse. Won’t go back. food is poor. Seating makes no senses. Poor staffing. No longer has a cozy, warm fireplace vibe. More like a cafeteria.

I've been to this place more than a few times... the waitstaff are friendly, know the menu & check on you at a regular pace. For a chain their price and quality was always a good way to go. The last 2 times however, the brisket was dry. They used to offer you two cuts of brisket - lean or regular or wet i think it's really called. But the last 2 times no. BBQ is all about the ribs & brisket. The ribs are pretty consistent no matter what flavor you get. The brisket was very dry & tough- it didn't even cut with the fork. I'm usually one who orders lean brisket, but this was beyond that - it needed to be cooked longer to break it down more. Ther must be rushing through to meet with demand but that's the way to lose customers instead of putting more on for longer, you put less on for shorter periods? I'm going to have to really consider if i'm going to return there when looking for bbq, and if i do and it's the same with the brisket, that will be the last time.
Different experience from what this place used to be. I used to come here a few times a year before COVID. I finally had an opportunity to come back, and sadly, it's completely changed. The food was decent, that hasn't changed much. The portion sizes were good for everything but the ribs. The ribs were only 2 bones (which I was told) but one of them was literally that. . . Bone, almost no meat. The sausage and brisket were fantastic. The sauces have changed too, I believe. I could only find 2 sauces not the old 5 or 6. The new setup is very strange. There's the bar and like 4 tables of full service. The rest is counter service. You order, you get a number, they bring the food to you and that's it. They have no fountain drinks, just bottles. There was a water station and takeout boxes you can self-serve at as well. Not a fan to be honest. Overall, I would come back for takeout as long as I'm not ordering ribs.
I would give it 3.5 and the food was like a 7/10. The brisket was on the salty side but tender. Ribs weren't that good kinda dry. The chicken was nicely marinated, but the white meat for chicken was a bit dry which is prob expected. The beans and Cole slaw was good. The display of the food was definitely great as well. If I wanted fast BBQ this is a place to go to, smoke Haus, or mighty Quinn (best chain so far).
Wife was not happy with her food, cold, did not taste right. Mine was not bad but nothing to write home about. Will spend more and travel for better BBQ. Feels like everything is cooked somewhere else and warmed up there. There’s plenty of options in the area, we will go elsewhere.
The food was mediocre. I had ribs, mac&cheese, and mashed potatoes. The mac&cheese was trash. The mashed potatoes tasted okay. My friend had the brisket, chicken, and ribs. He said the brisket was tough.
Have not eaten here in years. The ribs are very well prepared, soft ( but not too soft) and tasty. We didn’t wait very long for the food to be served even though it was a busy Saturday night. But once the food was dropped off , we didn’t see our waiter again. We had ordered a Burger and fries and never was able to get ketchup . If the service had been better I would have given it 4 stars.
Came here for lunch. Their lunch menu prices are good. The pulled chicken sandwich was good but a little soggy. Brisket sandwich was fine too. Coleslaw and pickles were good. The main issue was the onion straws appetizer. Was a big portion and hot and crispy but they were so incredibly salty. Of course a dish like that should be salty but these were SALTY to the point of being hard to get down. The best part was they had a fire going at lunch. Service was helpful and friendly.
I placed an order for pickup. The food was ready when I arrived. The food was good but the atmosphere inside is not what it used to be. I recall a vibrant lively restaurant full of people and waiters and waitresses buzzing around taking and serving orders. Now you go there and seat yourself and place your order in a tablet. It does not get crowded like it used to and the staff is minimal. Like I said the food is still good but this was a place to go out for dinner with your family and enjoy a meal in a lively restaurant. Now it’s just a place to eat. Nothing special about it. Oh yeah, and my take out order didn’t come with utensils, napkins or hand wipes.
Standard fast food BBQ food. Don't expect too much. The food way pretty okay! The wings with the Korean Sweet Heat sauce was definitely the highlight of the night as the sauce was soo tasty! The 3-meat combo was a great way to sample different meats. All the meats I tried - jalapeño cheddar sausage, brisket and chopped pork - were just okay. Everything, including the sides, just tasted slightly underseasoned and dry with the BBQ sauces not having enough of a punch to help too much. Nothing was outright bad, just okay. I would have expected more from "famous" Dave's... not really sure what he's famous for because it ain't the barbeque 🤣 The staff was attentive and the space was comfortable for a nice family dinner. Overall, I may come back for those sweet heat Korean wings and a cocktail for happy hour! I'm willing to give them another chance but also am on the look out for other barbeque restaurants!
I am giving three stars because the food was on time and the delivery guy was great! The food however was disappointing. I ordered catering for a party of 10. I was very disappointed in the quality of the food. Mac and cheese was soupy, the noodles were soft and I have no idea what that cheese sauce was made of and the pan was half full. They were skimpy on the wingettes, I would say each person got like two wingettes. The "pulled chicken" was pretty much chopped chicken chunks with a mediocre bbq sauce on it. The ribs were the best part, a good amount and tasty! The rolls were stale. Needless to say won't order from them again.

Got a whole dish of this that we tried to eat and spit out. No taste. Rubbery. Pretty darn expensive brisket? and not worth the money. Chicken n ribs were decent but the brisket was God awful! Shameful they would serve this to anyone. We didn’t realize how awful it was until we got home and not making the trip back. No response except “we will speak to staff”. How about acknowledging how disgusting this even looks..nope.
Usually love this place. Terrible tonight. My wife got a margarita and asked for salted rim. When the margarita arrived unsalted I mentioned this and they offered no help and just walked away. Plastic silverware and fewer bbq sauces available. What happened to the Georgia mustard sauce!!! Boooo. Not a good night of daves.
Was very disappointed. Used to go often with my husband who has since passed. Went with my son. Was looking forward to it as I've wanted to go back for a long time. I remembered it as being delicious. It wasn't like I remembered. Doubt I'll be back.
Went to Famous Daves in mid afternoon yesterday. The staff didn't want to serve us and told us to seat ourselves in the dinning room. We walked in and some tables weren't clean and had food and garbage on them. The menu didn't have a regular burger on it so I went up to ask the girl at the register if they had it. Just Lettuce tomato and onion on a burger she tells me they do its just not on menu. So I go back and tell the my family and we deside so I go back to order. Now a different person is there and he tells he going to order Dave's famous burger. ( I have no idea what that is no menu in front of me) Then your basically to forced to give a tip as you pay. So I add a lowest amount offered 15%. Sit down he brings our food. The burger was a bacon burger no onion. It was for a older woman who can't eat bacon. Not what she wanted. Ketchup was empty and I went around to other tables and guess what they were empty too. Then I found one that had some. No one around. The food tasted fine just not happy with the service or cleanliness. The whole time we were there we had to look at all the garbage on the other tables. And them giving an 85 year old(whom can't eat bacon) a bacon burger when we asked for a plain burger with lettuce tomato and onion. And basically making us tip before even starting. No way did they deserve a 15% tip. Maybe if they cleared the tables gave us what we wanted instead of ringing up what was easy on the register and filling the ketchup. They did nothing. Not happy and won't go back. By the way I've gone many other times..
Ordered for lunch takeout. It was ready on time which was great as it was still hot. Ordered a 1 meat meal. Brisket was just ok. It was tender, but flavor was meh. Mashed potatoes were again just ok. Sweet corn is not sweet at all. It was actually corn on the cob. I thought it would have been a bowl of corn. Finally the cornbread, which was my favor part of the meal. It was sweet and moist...just the way I like cornbread. I may come back to see how the ribs are here. Update: Got a ribs meal. Ribs were 2/5. Most parts were very tough. Would not get again. Mashed potatoes and broccoli were ok. Overall, this place is overpriced for what you get in flavor and portion size compared to other BBQ places.
Food is just bad. The Mac and cheese I actually spit out. The St Louis ribs were mostly bone and one was just solid bone, no meat. Also got baby back and why do the bones break and splinter on both racks? The food was just really bad all around.
The sides was not good I had the beans and mac and cheese. The meat was ok I like the beef brisket the best. My son enjoyed the chicken tenders and fries .my daughter didn't like anything. The service was good very friendly. But the on in Alexandria Virginia was delicious everything was good.
Pretty disappointing, but honestly expected. Good BBQ just isn’t really a NY specialty, but I keep trying, hoping I’ll be proven wrong. We ordered the baby back ribs combo and the baby & 1 meat combo. The baby back ribs were drenched in sauce and way too sweet. They were okay, but I probably wouldn’t order them again. With the baby & 1 meat combo, I went with the brisket, and it wasn’t much better than the ribs. The brisket was soggy. Overall it felt pretty typical of a large chain restaurant. Maybe the food is better straight out of the kitchen. I think the cardboard takeout containers made it worse. The food probably went in piping hot and ended up sweating in the container during delivery.
Not what they used to be. Food was ok, nothing special, but not what you exepted for a bbq place more if an Applebees. rib were over cooked and dry. Sauces at the table are watered down. All fountuan drinks dont taste right, either over sweet or no flavor at all. They have a self service side and a full service side, but only one women working the whole restaurant, including bar, so we sat in the full service side, but still had to get our own drinks. Looks like they are trying to make it into a fSt food place, come in, order, take a number, sit down until they call your number. But food was slow.
Just went in to a Famous Dave's, hadn't been in a while and we were looking forward to it. Walked right out. parking lot was empty which should have been a clue. Nasty hostess. No waitress service …

It's been awhile since we've been there. Went there today with wife and grandson. Bad cold food and skunky beer.. never going back. Sorry
My husband and I had been coming for years to Famous Dave's and loved the food and drinks, as well as the overall vibe of the restaurant. When we returned recently after not being in there during…
Have not been there since pandemic. Wow what a change in this place. I used to love this place. All kinds of bbq sauce on table very friendly people but now. A rude reception at the front door. Caf…
Stopped into Dave’s tonight and was shocked by the drastic changes implemented. Self service, reduced menu, stripped a down decor, lack of any personality. The bbq was never the type to wow anyone…

NEW MANAGEMENT SHOULD LISTEN TO IT'S EMPLOYEES AND YOU STILL WILL MAKE A PROFIT. WENT THERE BEFORE THE L.I. NETS GAME AND EXPERIENCE THE NEW FORMAT. FULL SERVICE OR SELF SERVICE LIKE ARBY'S. NEXT TIME GET TAKE OUT FIND A TABLE AND EAT YOUR MEAL. FOOD WAS COLD, THEY CHANGED THE DINING AREA AND NOW YOU SEE VISIBLE STORAGE AREA. SAD SAD SAD ! I USE TO ENJOY FAMOUS DAVE'S UNTIL LAST NIGHT... I GIVE YOU ANOTHER 6 MONTHS BEFORE YOU'RE CLOSED !
First of all . Almost 90 percent of people cannot eat spicy !! Why just why would you put jalapeños inside the beans and the Mac and a cheese and what is on the coke slaw tasted just not good . Ribs were good but everything else was Not . A bit disspointed will not go back . Little on the pricey side also very small amount on the sides .
Not sure how this establishment maintains 4 stars. From start to finish this is one of the worst barbecue experiences I’ve ever had. You order at the cashier when you first walk in, know what you’re ordering or stand there with the menu in your hand while you figure it out. When the food arrived it looked no better than barbecue food from TGI Fridays, Applebee’s, etc… Then I tasted it and realized it’s actually worse than TGI Fridays and Applebee’s. Nothing was fresh, good, or even of decent quality. The ribs at chain restaurants are 3x better tasting. Mac and cheese was bland. Brisket was edible at best. The rolls were burnt (waitress even wanted us). Nothing was hot. I didn’t watch them cook it but I wouldn’t be surprised if everything frozen and packaged based off the taste. 2 entrees and an app was $75. I felt like I was ripped off. I want to clarify because I was under the wrong impression; this is not a quality restaurant with quality food whatsoever. Smelled weird inside and half the restaurant was taped off due to empty seats. For the same price you can go to a real barbecue restaurant like smok haus, with fresh food.
Used the mobile delivery app that the restaurant website stated was their preference. Food came without the beverages, the condiments and utensils that were ordered. Store couldn't deliver and couldn't return the order to the store. No manager was available and I requested the manager call me. 10 days later, I still have not heard from this store. Spent $160 and could not even est the sides for lack of utensils (middle of a move). This store has not shown an interest in correcting the mistakes made or reimbursing me for the inconvenience. We will not return to this or any other Famous Dave's location, going forward.
Went for lunch. The food was cold, the corn of the cob was bland, even the toast was not toasted. There are no wait staff so you have to order up front and get your own drinks. It's pretty much a self service overpriced fast food joint. Never going to Famous Dave's ever again.
I ordered the Thanksgiving Holiday Feast from Famous Dave’s for Thanksgiving Day ($124.92), and I am extremely disappointed. This was supposed to save me time on a major holiday, but it actually created more work for me. When I picked up the order, all of the trays were handed to me without any bags, stacked in my hands. For a meal at this price point, everything should be properly packaged for transport. I had to use my own reusable bag just to get everything to my car. Once I got home and opened the food, things got even worse: The meal was supposed to be served hot, but everything was barely lukewarm. The green beans had unmelted butter sitting on top — a clear sign they weren’t heated properly. Multiple pans were not full, including the mashed potatoes, green beans, turkey, brisket, and macaroni and cheese. The macaroni and cheese was watery with way too much sauce. I actually had to cook extra macaroni and bake it just to make it edible. The mashed potatoes looked spread thin and barely filled the tray. The brisket slices were thick and a bit tough; I had to put them in the crock pot to soften. Nearly every dish required additional cooking, which defeats the purpose of ordering a prepared Thanksgiving meal. And oddly, the meal came with five cornbread muffins — not six. I’ve never seen a holiday meal sold with five of anything. It felt incomplete and carelessly portioned. This was meant to save me time on Thanksgiving — instead, it wasted my time. I even drove from Brooklyn to pick this up, expecting convenience and quality. No one should pay over $120 for a holiday meal that arrives lukewarm, under-filled, and poorly prepared. Between the poor presentation, lack of proper packaging, under-filled trays, extra cooking required, and incomplete cornbread order, this meal was absolutely not worth the price. I would not order a Thanksgiving or holiday meal from Famous Dave’s again.
I dont know why I keep saying the next time would be better. I just gets hopes up all the time. Back at it again and the server doesnt know how to multi-task because her customers are family/friends so that brought distractions. Not only that the food was cold. Waited like 20mins or more. It just keeps getting worst. The worst.
Tbh I tried to have a good mindset about this place even after reading the reviews. The food wasn’t that good. My wings was cold, The Corn taste like it wasn’t fresh. My chicken tenders was not as I expected. I hate Popeyes But their tenders were better than tonight. The seasoning was right, but not the texture or the heat, The food taste like it was microwaved or something, Definitely did not taste fresh. I asked an employee for two plastic cups to go… After Waiting, She must’ve forgot that I asked for 2 cups. She was sitting with her two other coworkers, so there should be no excuse of how she forgot, There’s literally nobody in there other than me. I’m extremely disappointed to be honest. The last time I went there, the food was good. This is the location in westbury, LI
We were the only 2 people in the restaurant and our order took about 30 mins to come out. And everything was cold. Like the food was just sitting on the counter and then plated. Truly disappointing. The chicken was dry. (And we ordered 3 kinds) the onion rings were extremely salty. The best part of the meal was the corn muffin and coleslaw. Would it go back.
