I stopped here on a drive from Ohio to Massachusetts and I could not have found a better place! The food, staff, and other people in the restaurant were all amazing! The owner was one of the kindest people I have met! I had chicken Marsala and arancini balls and both were outstanding! 10/10 can not wait to come back

My son randomly chose this restaurant via a Google search of nearby options. We were pleasantly surprised about every aspect of our visit. All the staff were extremely jubilant and helpful, the food was outstanding, and the atmosphere was cozy.

I had been back to my home area in several years. Imagine my surprise to find them still open. Still the same delicious food and a fantastic waitress. She worked with me with my allergies as did the cook. Thank you so much for that ❤. I can't wait to take another trip home, hopefully next fall and go back and try a different dish next time. 😋

Really good food. The Lasagna was great. The meatballs are top shelf. The scallop dish is prepared perfectly. The service was amazing (say hello to Mary)! Good portion sizes for the money spent. All of this in a charming atmosphere with a great history. Thank you so much for the hospitality!

First visited back in 1967. It was great then, and still great now 57 years later. Different owners, but still great service and delicious food. Met the owner, Evelyn, and had a very pleasant chat retracing the history of this long standing Westfield landmark. Perfect neighborhood family restaurant. You don't need to take out a second mortgage to pay either. Our table of four had veal Parmesan, lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, and scallops. Stuffed mushrooms appetizer. Peach cobbler, cheesecake, carrot cake for dessert. Everything was outstanding. This was a great experience after 57 years away. Cash only.

The prime rib and shrimp was AWESOME. Also, first time encountering deep fried banana peppers 👌👌 the server was super friendly and the overall atmosphere gets an A from me. Perfect for date night

Hard to overstate all the great features of the Bark Grill. First time we've been here but it won't be the last. Mmmm! We were seated quickly, by VERY friendly efficient staff. The Bark Grill has a wonderfully diverse and expansive menu with many Italian options, among others. (some of tonight's other specials were chicken & biscuits, prime rib, steamed mussels and a broiled seafood platter.) My husband ordered the spaghetti with meatballs, while I had a custom order of my own concoction-- linguini with steak in vodka sauce. Excellent. The steak in particular was very tender and flavorful--something that is usually not the case when I've added steak to a salad or dish at other restaurants. Meatballs are also excellent per my husband. Definitely planning to come here again! Our meals were under $20 each. House wine is $5.50 per glass. Mine was a CA Pinot noir and was decent. (Note to others:. Payment is currently cash or check only, with an ATM located right inside the restaurant.)

Food was pretty good! The service was just a little on the slow side and it is very dark inside. Could use a little updating but otherwise a solid, decent restaurant! The Bella sandwich was delish!!

Yes, it's as dark as candlelight and some features are dated. But the chicken marsala was really good. The flavor was good & the chicken was tender and moist. They take all the COVID-19 precautions. The server was friendly and attentive once we sat down.

Would I recommend to a friend to come here? Yes. Would I be coming back on my next visit to the area? Maybe someday, but probably not next time. Make sure to call and make a reservation. Pros: Lasagna was very good. The French onion soup and the lobster bisque was very good. The place/atmosphere had a nice feel to it. The server was nice. Cons: Had a limited/soft open menu. So, things like the stuffed mushrooms and many other choices from the menus found online were not available. They didn't even have Ceasar salad. The Chicken Calabrese was not good. The chicken itself was good, the noodles were ok, but the copious amount of oil and the sauce was not good. Almost like a hot Italian dressing. Did not receive our bread until our meal was almost over. The calamari was the worst calamari I have ever had at a restaurant. It was soft/mushy breading with zero crunch wrapped around a poor little chewy calamari. The sauce served with the calamari seems to be just marinara sauce with red pepper flakes on top. We heard a lot of people say the spaghetti and meatballs were very good and we know the lasagna was good, so maybe stick with the more traditional options.

Mary(?) was very friendly. Goy who greated us, not so much. Asked if we had reservations; we did not Said he'd look for a table when the room was only half filled. I find that disingenuous. Otherwise we had a fine time and I would go again.

Our bill should have been around $80 for everything. We were told 117 an change. They NEVER UPDATE their prices!!!!!! Its a law in NYS that its done!!!! So technically we should pay the 80 something and not almost 120!!!!! Never again!!!!!
