Cafe Mezzanotte

I was impressed with this restaurant before even trying it out! When I looked this place up, just the pictures alone blew me away! So, when I actually went to see if it met up to my expectations, it surpassed them 😍 I now love this restaurant!

There is not a better or more authentic taste of Italian cuisine.... The atmosphere is just as charming and delightful. Dishes rotate often and every item is a 'special.' Chef de Cuisine is truly an artist and that's just the main menu. Desserts will entice you to make deals with the devil to put your lips on a taste of heaven. Mangia!

Café Mezzanotte is one of my favorite restaurant! We were there recently for a network dinner. The atmosphere is beautiful, the staff incredible and the food to die for! I always crave the capesante. The Chef always greets the customers. I have nothing but glowing reviews for this amazing restaurant. Im coming in soon for my birthday, and I hope my favorite bartender, Christopher makes my friends their favorite drinks.

This was my first time here. My job attended an appreciation/social held by IWIRC Delaware. The food was delicious. The drinks were good. The staff was amazing.

My experience is ALWAYS the best! Food is always AAAAMAZING and service impeccable. Sergio always comes out to greer his guests at the end of the night and Francesca, Chris and the rest of the servers make you feel welcome. Stop in and have a meal. You can and will thank me later.

Cafe Mezzanotte is a wonderful place to dine with friends and family. Sergio Pellegrino and his wonderful Staff are a true treat. When you enter the Restaurant you are greeted with a warm smile and a immediate feel of comfort. Theres even a private dining area well equiped to serve some of the most intimate dining pleasures. Christopher the Mixologist makes the most unique and refreshing drinks to please your taste. Hint Hint the Sangria is so thirst quenching. The lavender Lemonade straight or spiked is beautifully prepared. Keala and the rest of the staff make sure you are well fed and happy with your dining experience. If you want some of the most authentic freah Italian food in a intimate setting then wait no more. Also during the current COVID restrictions the space is very adequate and set up to state regulations. Once your inside you are no longer a friend but your immediately FAMILY.

Food was absolutely delicious! My husband has not stopped raving about the Branzino. First time visit, definitely not our last. Can't wait to go back!

My Favorite restaurant. Love the atmosphere, the food is absolutely ridiculous and the waitstaff is overly pleasant. Cannot beat this restaurant. We drive from Philadelphia because we love it so much.

I made a reservation for a Saturday night and the restaurant was not busy. However I had seen many positive reviews and we decided to go there for our son’s birthday. The ambiance was great and the food was better. We ordered carpaccio and calamari and both were excellent. The calamari was fried to perfection. The best dishes were the veal and the cioppino, but everyone was satisfied. I ordered a side of fettuccine and it was outstanding - pasta was made there. It was made and cooked to perfection. The portions were good. The service was good . I highly recommend this spot for a special meal.

First time visit. Impressed by the bartender and bar service. The food is very good and authentic. There is a good wine list, even by the glass. You can have a quiet meal or a party.

We had our holiday party here last week and were very happy with the food, atmosphere, and outstanding service. Our waiter, Stephen, handled a table of nine with absolute professionalism. We were given a smaller menu due to the size of our group but the chef accommodated our request for several plates of mussels (which were not on that menu) to be served as our group appetizer. Everything was delicious and the craft cocktails were outstanding. Will certainly be going back for another visit.

This is a hidden gem. (I'm sorry I didn't take pictures. ) The Wings... The Pasta Fagioli soup, Meatball appetizer and Mixed Greens salad is more than enough for dinner. Absolutely fantastic flavor. Compliments to the Chef and Staff. Will return when we are back in the area.

Dinner last night was wonderful. From the greeting to the dessert everything was great. The service was friendly and prompt. The portions neither too big or small. The menu is limited allowing the kitchen to focus on making a few things great dishes rather than a lot of mediocre meals. As always a favorite in Wilmington.

I had the pleasure of taking my step daughters and mother here for dinner a week and a half ago. It took me this long to write the review because I’m finally out of my food coma. From the second we entered to the moment we left we had the absolute best time. We sat in the bar dining area and were served by the bartender. Her attitude was superb and made our night even happier then it was. The bartenders attention to detail was too notch and the food was some of the best we’ve ever had. The Chef/owner came out to greet us and that in itself was awesome. There is no doubt that Cafe Mezzonette is at the top of my list. Can’t wait to go back.

In town for a wedding. Dropped in to see the rave. Food was good. Service by Anastasia our server was amazing. Honestly she is the reason I bumped it to 5 stars. Drinks were excellent as well as the atmosphere. Wife ordered the fettuccine Bolognese which seemed to lack a little. I on the other hand had the Chicken Parm and it was amazing.

If you’re in the Wilmington area and are looking for real deal Italian food, this is the place to go to. The chef Sergio is originally from Italy and has been serving authentic Italian food to the Wilmington community for 18 years. The staff is also incredibly nice and attentive. I will be back again!

Wonderful restaurant, we were lucky enough to have our daughters wedding dinner with chef Sergio and his team. Excellent food, spectacular drinks, attentive service. Thank you to Cafe Mezzanotte for making our daughters special day even more perfect!

I rarely write reviews because after leaving NYC and living in different States, it has been difficult to match the dining experiences we had in our beloved city. Cafe Mezzanote,however, did just that. From feeling welcomed(bcz of our diverse background), to the wonderful staff, the atmosphere and the very well made food, 10/10 would recommend. If you are looking for a great dining experience overall, please visit this top tier gem.

Service and atmosphere was great. Food was good. For parking, you would have to either use the garage (they have discounted price) or have to find a parking spot in the street.

White table cloth service. Relaxed atmosphere. Good mix of pasta and meat options on the menu. There were vegetarian options. My lobster ravioli were quite delicious.

Spaghetti was good. Chicken parmigiana hit the spot. Filet was meh. Nice of the Chef to come out and say hi -- maybe even nicer if he brought a sample or something. Nice ambiance.

I ended up at this restaurant by accident (I was upset with a restaurant I patronized frequently). I can honestly say that I've seen this restaurant for months (while regularly eating with my family at Tonic Seafood and Steak), and my wife and I always wondered about it, but we never thought about trying it because it always looked empty, and we were skeptical. However, because of a "minor" situation at one of our favorite restaurants, we decided to do something different. I am glad we did. My wife, my son, and I enjoyed the food. The food was delicious (appetizers, meals, and desserts). The waiter (Steve) was wonderful, and he made dining here pleasant and entertaining. Our daughter was upset that she didn't go with us. This restaurant is a hidden gem. We definitely will be returning.

My wife and I Visited Cafe Mezzanotte on Valentine's Day. The service was incredible. Very friendly and personable. The food was top notch. The atmosphere was very quiet and calm, maybe a bit too much so. My only true complaint throughout the entire evening was the chairs being old, VERY cracked leather. It's not very reassuring when you go to sit down and pieces of your chair are falling off. Other than that, it was an fantastic night out.

Went to this restaurant while visiting Wilmington. It had a very elevated vibe and the staff were very friendly. The cocktails and food had nice presentations. The mussels and gelato were delicious. Unfortunately, the main courses (pastas and steak dishes) were lacking in flavor. Overall, not worth the price.

The service was absolutely fantastic as well as the ambiance. The food however, left something to be desired. I ordered the lobster ravioli. I was surprised and sad to see that it was stuffed with some sort of lobster mousse rather than actual pieces of lobster. Hopefully, this was a rare occurrence as I ordered the last few raviolis they prepared for that day.

We were there to celebrate our 5th year anniversary. Overall the experience was ok. Really nothing outstanding. The table was missing silverware. The waiter didn't help my wife with the chair or the coat nor knew how to serve and clean table properly. The kitchen used olive oil instead of truffle oil on the carpaccio. The Faggiolli soup was blend. The tiramisu size was pathetic and drowned in cocoa powder. Veal was good. There's room to improve.

I have been to Cafe Mezzanotte several times in the last month because of business and always had a great time. Unfortunately this past Thursday wasn't so great. Let me start by saying the meal and drinks were great however the way the male bartender was speaking to the female bartender was very strange. He seemed to be yelling and chastising her in front of guests. He was speaking under his breath to us about her and we have been extremely happy with her service. She has catered to all of our needs the last two times we were in as well as this night and was answering our questions when he deecided to belittle her. It was obvious that she became upset and it took all I had to not say something. With this being said we most likely won't be back. I mentioned this to a few of our friends that frequent Cafe Mezzanotte and they to had issues with the bartender. They were uncertain of his name but after describing him they agreed. It is not like me to leave a negative review but I feel as though this needed to be told.

Just had delivery from here and I was really hoping that for the price the food would be better. One item, Gnocchi Sorrento, was bland and tasteless while the other, Spaghetti carbonara, only had a taste of being too salty.

Didn’t appreciate the unprofessional jokes and comments made by the host and waitress when I walked in which is why I’m giving 2 stars instead of 3. Food was extremely average and pricey for being average. Bread and cocktails were the best part. Good atomosphere.

We have been here quite a few times and I lost my appetite as a mouse run across the dining room. I think this is most likely our last time here. If the food was better at on point like in years past we would be back but I don't think so....
