We were in the area to tour the LST 325 ship in Brandenburg. As we were leaving, we decided to stop and get some frozen custard. They were opened early and everyone was very friendly! I got frozen custard and my husband got a milkshake. Both were exceptional and I am looking forward to going back! Thanks!

Being out-of-towners this was a very welcome treat. We enjoyed our ice cream, cookies and root beer so much! And the view down by the river was very peaceful. We look forward to stopping by again soon.

I've never had frozen custard before. It was fabulous. It is creamier than ice-cream but not as sweet. I loved it. This Is a great place to get your frozen custard. The prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend.

Charming small town spot with only two tables, plus a few chairs outside. One of my favorite spots to visit as the owners are extremely kind and friendly. Very limited snack options, but all delicious -- ice cream, freshly baked brownies, fried bologna sandwich, coffee, hot cocoa, etc. If you arrive at lunch or dinner time, they have a daily single menu item that rotates. The day we visited was meatloaf, potatoes, and glazed carrot dinner for $11.95. 100% home cooked.

We got the benefit of meeting the husband and wife who own it when we stopped in. Great people. They have sons that I suspect are often working there, but had this particular Friday night off. The owners were excited to see us and eager to share the features of their shop and what makes them different from other places. I got an Oreo-Banana shake, it was good. Lots of oreo. Banana was largely at the bottom of my cup, but the flavors were throughout. It was very good. My son got and shared the snickers shake with me though…man, that one was the bomb. I get snickers blizzards at DQ a lot but this shake, somehow it was like the pieces were small enough to not be chunks and instead they were like flavor pieces waiting to be reunited in my mouth as I chewed/drank the shake. Super good. As others have said, the prices seem a bit high, but sometimes quality ingredients aren’t cheap, and with the economy of today, the prices from 10 years ago are no longer a good comparison. I would suggest the prices here are similar to high-end ice cream shops in Louisville. Anyway, lots of options at this place and I would highly recommend a stop here to support a true family-owned business. Don’t miss the river view while you are there!

Fantastic custard shop with smoothies and scoop ice cream available. Lots of options for toppings. Sold by size and not weight which was great compared to other places. Very much a family-friendly environment. Sadly they are seasonal and close at the end of December and don't open back up until March

$6 for a hot fudge sundae... sorry it was just soft serve icecream, whip cream, nuts, fudge and a cherry. A very average sundae with very little fudge. I can think of lower price and better options. I might give it another try on something else. But I was not impressed.

I went with family and extended family for a cone after pizza across the street. The custard was very good, but... My grandson and nephew ordered shakes, after 40 minutes and still waiting I went in to see why it was taking so long for a cpl of shakes. There were two young men working, one making the shakes and the other was sweeping. When I asked why it was taking so long, the young man sweeping spouted off stating the ice cream was frozen..... Aggravated not only at the time it was taking to get the shakes, now I had some kid giving me attitude for asking why a Milk Shake takes over 40 min to make. I decide to just turn away and walk out. Never to return again. I gave three stars for the custard I had and would have given a higher rateing if customer service and waiting time was better. I suggest having adult supervision and maybe explain to the customer when ordering, it might take 45 min to an hour for their order due to not having the required ingredient readily available.
