Opinions de The Leaning Pear Wimberley
Exceptional service and excellent food. The menu is very different than most of the places we go. My wife had the Hill country chaat and loved it. I had the BB LT and love the edition of the Brie to that sandwich. Really cute restaurant and I can't wait until they get the bar opened
What a wonderful brunch place!! Absolutely lovely food at very reasonable prices. Great way to get started a rainy spring Saturday in wimberley.
Martin was fantastic. Food was a bit under seasoned. And definitely needed salt. Dessert was absolutely the highlight of the evening. Panna Cotta was fantastic! To maintain alignment with the quality of the environment & menu I felt confused by the self serve cutlery buckets. Overall good experience.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We are so glad we chose The Leaning Pear while staying overnight in town. From the moment we sat down, our waitress Anissa makes the entire experience even better. She is incredibly kind, personable, and refreshingly honest with her menu suggestions—which we truly appreciate. We love getting to chat with her throughout dinner; it feels welcoming and relaxed, not rushed. We start with the Brussels sprouts, queso fundido, and pretzel board, and every bite is spot-on. For entrées, the Southern Clucker Sandwich and the Chicken & Grits absolutely deliver—comfort food done right. And the desserts? Unreal. The perfect way to end the meal. The atmosphere and overall vibe of the restaurant are just as good as the food—cozy, inviting, and full of character. This place is a must-try if you’re in town. You won’t regret it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I love The Leaning Pear 🍐 for its welcoming ambience and the charm of the surrounding town. The staff is consistently polite and attentive, and the food, beer, and cocktail selections are outstanding. It’s always an easy choice for me, and I look forward to bringing family and friends back again.
Portion was much larger than i expected! Personally i would have preferred more seasoning in the meatloaf but that's just me. The lemon blueberry pana cotta literally made me cry bc of how incredible it was. Such a breath taking experience is rare in food. I can see myself making the hour plus journey to Wimberly just for the panna cotta, if i ever have a bad day. Servers were kind and friendly and helpful. Im very full and very happy and i feel my soul is cleansed. ✨️
Loved The Leaning Pear! The staff was so welcoming and kind from the moment we walked in- we felt right at home (thanks Morgan). The food was amazing, and ice tea was the best I’ve had. We enjoyed our lunch so much we came back for dinner! Highly recommend for great food, service and atmosphere.
My friend and I made it promptly as the restaurant was opening for brunch, so crowding and a long wait wasn't a factor. Our waitress was great and answered our questions clearly. Nice atmosphere. Convenient parking. I'm hoping to visit another time to explore other aspects of the menu.
We rode out to Wimberley to have lunch on a Saturday and decided to go here. We arrived around 1pm and It was pretty busy but we were seated within 5 minutes. We chose to sit indoors since we were out in the Sun the entire 2 hour ride there. Seemed like everyone who drove there in a car wanted to sit outdoors on their patio so it was longer wait for that. I chose to have a pizza and my husband chose to have their BBLT. He was not that impressed with the sandwich, but the Uncle Art pizza that I had was extremely delicious. It’s a thin crust pizza with artichokes, spinach and prosciutto and a light creamy garlic sauce, not tomato based sauce. Now their iced tea is not normal black iced tea. It has several different flavors in their recipe. Even the waitress couldn’t tell us exactly what kind of tea it was but it was really flavorful and light. If you are wanting to sit outside on a gorgeous day with a good variety of foods, try this place.
Went up to visit Wimberley and decided to give this place a try. The blue cheese tomato soup was absolutely amazing. Tomato soup is my favorite soup so I’ve eaten it at a lot of places, this was by far my favorite tomato soup I’ve ever had. Can’t rave about it enough! The hummus and mushrooms with pita bread was so delicious. The mushrooms were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The hummus was smooth, creamy, and bursting with flavor! Pita was soft and warm, can’t ask for much more! We shared the Uncle Art Pizza and it was so good! The crust was perfectly crisp on bottom but also soft and flavorful. The toppings were the perfect amount. I’m always excited to try anything with garlic and prosciutto and this did not disappoint! The red pepper flakes they have are not just the flakes but ground dried peppers and it just took the pizza to the next level with that extra flavor of smoky chili peppers. Give this place a try!
We came in the middle of the lunch rush. They said it would take 20 minutes to be seated, but it took less than 10. Presley was an awesome server making my 89 year old dad feel very welcomed and explaining how the menu worked with his cell phone. The food was delicious. The goat cheese melted in your mouth and the pecons were fresh and yummy. I'd come back here again if I didn't leave in Oregon!

Went with a group for lunch. The caprese sandwich was top notch. I got a half portion with salad and chips and it was plenty for a lunch meal.
An amazing dinner for our last night in Wimberley. Our server was helpful without being intrusive. Love the look and feel of the place. Definitely a place worth trying when visiting the area.

Had the pleasure of eating here and was very impressed. I had the quiche with a side salad which so delicious and fresh. I also had the frozen mojito which was so refreshing.
The food was amazing! I highly recommend trying their wood-oven pizza. The service was very nice as well, quick and very respectful. The restaurant was a bit noisy though, still 5/5!

This was a great spot just off the square. Food and service was excellent. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating. The atmosphere outside was very nice, and the price was very reasonable.

Cute spot, bright and airy with a delicious menu. The breakfast sausage Samo seemed to be a popular choice, the runny egg yolk was the crown jewel! I enjoyed the BBLT on sourdough and their Greek inspired pasta salad was so good. Chilled Prosecco bright mimosas and plenty of seating. It is a nice addition to Wimberley.
The food here is really fresh and delicious. The prices are very reasonable compared to other restaurants nearby whose food isn’t as good. I like that the menu here changes a lot so each time you go you can try something new. The best dish I’ve had here was the spicy sausage and succotash; I’ve also had the meatloaf, the pizza, the grits, the BBLT, the salads. Can’t really go wrong. There’s alot of seating so even if it’s busy you may find a seat. Service is mixed, usually decent to good but sometimes slow and less attentive.
Very busy for brunch. The wait time wasn’t that bad and they text once your table is ready. Indoor and outdoor seating a nice perk. The online menu is live and you can see things that are available in real time. We were able to get the last 2 sausage sandwiches. Very tasty! Very nice wait staff.
We stopped by this weekend for some early dinner and drinks with friends. Nice place but a bit rowdy outside with lots of unsupervised kids running around. Servers were nice and seemed to be hustling so they were likely understaffed as service was a bit slow. To drink, the girls had the pink frozen gin drinks and I had the mangonada. Both were pretty delicious but the mangonadas take awhile to to be served so be prepared. I was originally going to get a craft beer but the selection was pretty limited. To eat, we shared the pretzels and the sprouts. The pretzels were decent but the sprouts stood out for me, which is a bit surprising based on my normal preferences. To eat, we shared a 1/2 rueben, 1/2 pimento cheese (its cool they let you do 1/2s), and a small house salad. The salad was fantastic with the pecans and vinaigrette and of the two sandwiches, I'd lean to the pimento cheese.

The Learning Pear is a beautiful restaurant with a very nice vibe both inside and outside seating area of the restaurant. We went there on a Sunday morning for an early lunch and they were able to accommodate us without a reservation. The first thing that cached my eye was the giant wind chime that was hanging from the tree and the sound of it made my day. They had the heaters for guests sitting in the outdoor area. The food was good though we had some issue with the egg being bad in one of the shakshouka that we ordered. Rest was all ok. The best was the banana bread. The service was good and the interiors of this place is very beautiful. A nice brunch and early lunch place in Wimberley.

I had high expectations because of the reviews I have seen so far. We went for Sunday brunch and I ordered the meatloaf with hash potatoes. My friend she got the chicken and waffles and for appetizer we had the kimchi hush puppies. We enjoyed the hush puppies it was delicious. I didn’t really care for the meatloaf. honestly 2/3 of the plate are potatoes and barely got any meatloaf and it was very salty I had to ask for ketchup to drown the saltiness. My friend’s waffle was ok but the chicken tenders were burnt and only had two teeny tenders. It was an ok meal for me it could have been better if I got 2/3 of meatloaf and less of the potatoes but it was the other way around so it was disappointing. I normally give higher rating but this one didn’t earn it in my opinion. I would give the kimchi hush puppies a kudos.
Not the best, not the worst. I got a hot tea, and veg curry. My husband got the crab cake. We shared the beer cheese pretzel appetizer and wedge salad. The pretzel was was good but they are pretty …
Pretty standard small vacation town restaurant. The food is good but sort of bland. I hear the views are really good (we got takeout). The standout to me was the meatloaf and the carrot cake.
Ordered soup and received it with my main course. Got a pizza and had to wait for them to bring a pizza cutter since it didn’t get cut in the kitchen. The server was pleasant but will not be going back again. I’m a local to the area and super disappointed with the whole experience.
The server didn’t come up to us for at least 15 minutes and then my sandwich came out like this. The outside is pretty and I enjoyed that, but the care put into the food was nonexistent. I wouldn’t serve dinner at home like this let alone pay $17 for this sandwich at a highly rated restaurant.
Picked up burned, inedible pizza. Best they could do is let the kitchen know but we would have to drive 20 mins back if we wanted a replacement one.
