Growing up in California, In-N-Out was my go-to for the best burger on the planet. But life in the military has taken me far from my favorite double-doubles for over two decades. So imagine my excitement when I traveled from Nebraska to Fort Sam, Texas, and spotted that classic red-and-yellow sign! Naturally, I made a beeline straight for it. I didn’t hold back: ordered not one, but two double-doubles, animal style, with chopped chilies, plus fries. From the fresh, crispy lettuce to the juicy tomato and that legendary secret sauce—it was everything I remembered and more. Finished it all in record time, two minutes flat! So In-N-Out, if you’re listening, when’s Omaha getting some love? You can’t let Chick-fil-A have all the fun!

My family and our visitors have been patronizing In-N-Out Burger at this location since this California franchise opened in San Antonio. Restaurant is always clean. Menu is simple. Adequate staff to take care of all chores/activities associated with managing & operating a Restaurant . Even though customers order at counter, pick up food when number is called & serve themselves beverages from station, members of friendly staff come by tables to see if everything is alright, ask if you need anything. They never question or argue with customer about an order. They made it right. Burgers, fries & shakes are great & of high quality and well presented. Last week brought my son from Germany here. His desire is eat a good burger in USA. He wasn't disappointed. We went around 12pm. Place was.bustling with Diners.

I’ve been to In-N-Out a few times now and it never disappoints. I always ask for a double double animal style with fries and a Diet Coke. It’s my go to but never fails. This time I ordered to go and the convenient tray they provide to eat in your car is very thoughtful.

Whenever we travel, if there's an In-N-Out, we stop there. So, we have been to dozens of them. This one has the best customer service thanks to Zikora. She may be the best fast food cashier we've ever had. She's exceptional and has a great smile.

Such a great burger. Tasted fresh. Fries were a bit grainy and tasted like they were freezer burned. Supposedly they are made fresh there?! Service was prompt. They did however mess up a few orders while there but what fast food restaurant doesn't. Either way I'd probably go out of my way to that location to get a burger then chose a different chain...

Ms. Anna the manager, and all of her assistant managers to include the staff are super supportive of our Military and First Responders. Price is awesome for budget mo ded families. The double double hamburgers was delilicious... definitely one of the best hamburgers my Soldiers and I have eaten. Even better than the ones we ate in Northern California.

Good service, very friendly and smiling employees. The place is clean, and there's always someone cleaning the tables when they're empty. The burgers are great, very crispy and with very fresh ingredients.

The reputation of In-N-Out speaks for itself, so a review of the food isn’t really necessary (the burgers are always 💯+). The service was excellent - super fast. The employees were always on the move cleaning up and and making the place look great. Definitely recommended!

Now you don't need to go all the way to California for In-n-Out. The burgers are always consistent and delicious but the line up is always crazy regardless of when you go. It's always a good 15 minutes wait at minimum so just make sure you have time cuz it's not exactly fast food but definitely worth it

Went on a Saturday around 8:30p.m. The drive thru was sooo long, I almost left. I was pleasantly surprised that my order was taken by a car hop and I was In-N-Out in approximately 5 to 7 minutes. 😏 I was on the phone so wasn't completely watching the clock. Let's just say I got my order waayyyy faster than I expected. Oh, there's outside seating. That'll be nice when real "Fall" 😏 starts.

First time having this in 5 years and it was awesome. Super friendly staff and quality food. Tables were all clean. Topped it off with a Neapolitan shake. Well worth it. Will be coming back for sure.

Love In-N-Out Burger! Anytime I'm close to one I have to eat there. I have yet to be to one that wasn't clean and the staff was not friendly and this location was no exception. First time to thie location. Party of 2 on a Saturday at 1230. Place was jammed packed with only one inside place to sit. There were 8x people ahead of us ordering. With, that being said, service was friendly and quick considering how crowded it was. Food was what is expected of an In-n-out and we had no issues. Even with large amount of customers, Inside was very clean.

The outside order taker was friendly, polite, and helpful I had the Flyimg Dutchman and animal fries. Instead of bun, it's surrounded by an onion topper . It was my first time trying this combo. It was pretty good! I would suggest this restaurant not overdue it on the salt on the fries. I tried the double double yesterday. Oh, it was good, plus the bun was toasted and crispy....Yum...yum... Sorry, though Burger Boy is #1

Was visiting San Antonio and this was the closest to my hotel. The restaurant was clean inside and outside. It was busy almost all of the day, but the staff was able to keep up easily and put out food fast. The food was good. I have had better at ones in California, but it was still at a In-n- Out level. The proximity to Taco Cabana made getting burgers and tacos awesome.

All I can say is WOW!!!🤩 This was my first visit to an In and Out Burger (we do not have them in Illinois) and I was blown away. It is definitely the best burger I have ever had and nothing will ever compare. The servers were extremely friendly, the food was served fast and hot and the restaurant was very clean. It was very crowded both times we went, so seating was hard to find, but that’s to be expected when you serve the best hamburger in the country. The staff kept up with the demand and did it with a smile. Do not sleep on this burger joint, it is absolutely worth the visit!! I wish I could bring you home with me.😊

Stopped in for dinner. It has been a long time since there are no locations close to us. The food is awesome! One of the best burgers, fries, and milkshakes you can have. The location was up to the normal standard. Very clean, bright and friendly. You could see the large street sign for miles calling like a beacon in the night. So good, if you get a chance, drop in and enjoy!

It's all about the service here. They have their system down. They always get my order right, seem to take care to making my burger, and every staff interaction is friendly and professional. There's always a long line, yet short wait! Pulled in at 11:50 am left by 11:56. The staff is always kind and smiling. I've been at multiple times of day and still get great service. The cheeseburger tastes fresh and delicious . Buns are soft, not stale, and have a mild crunch from the toast. Lettuce is fresh and crunchy, and they don't mind adding my pickles and removing the onion and tomato. They double wrap the bottom of the burger to make sure your hands stay fresh, but the juicey burger and inn and out special sauce still quenches your hunger. The fries have yet to disappoint, always deliciously. Seasoned and crispy on the outside yet soft in the middle, and did I mention it is hot but not on fire. There is always plenty of napkins and sauce when asked for it. The whole meal for me is $6.30 with just a cheeseburger and fries, and the rep who takes your order is great at explaining the menu options. If you're looking for simple, yet delicious fast food with GREAT CUSTOMER service, this is the place. Did I mention this sweet guy had no problem allowing me to take his picture when I asked if I could leave a review. He had no idea what I would say and still did it with a smile. Plenty of parking, seating, and restroom access if needed. Good for kids and ♿️ outside and inside options

Ah. Memories of my years in California. The food is simple, but good. Prices are very reasonable. Love the grilled whole slice of onion on the burger, and the fresh cut fries are great. Their ordering set up is fast and friendly. Food was served quickly and wrapped up well to eat in the car. They even give you paper placemats for your lap. Lol

We do not have one in our neighborhood, so wherever we go to a town that has In-N-Out, we make sure demonstrate stop by. My two teenage sons absolutely love it. They usually order items that aren't on the menu, like 3x3 or 4x4 (haha). The fries have a unique texture, probably because they are made from real potatoes. The sauce is delicious, and if you ask, they will even give you extra spread to put on the bun.

This was my daughter’s first time trying In&Out and while the food was delicious; what really stood out to us was the exceptional customer service that the team there provides. I was highly impressed. The cashiers were phenomenal - so energetic and really made for a top tier, welcoming atmosphere. Love the attentive service and positive attitudes! finally got to try In-N-Out here in San Antonio! We didn’t even know there was a location in Texas, so it was a fun surprise. The burgers were everything I imagined — fresh, flavorful, and honestly some of the best I’ve ever tasted. Definitely the star of the show! The fries were okay, nothing special, but the shakes were really good. They keep it classic with chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla, and sometimes simple is the best. Overall, great experience and amazing burgers. I’m glad we found it! 🍔✨

This is my first time trying this place. My friend kept telling me that it's good food. She did the ordering. We got burgers and french fries and some animal things were added. Which means sautéed onions on the top. They were actually good. The ingredients were fresh and I'm almost positive they were all beef patties. Great job! I know now where I can go for a good hamburger.

We ordered the number one to share which is the double meat double cheeseburger customizable with french fries and a medium drink. With tax it was $10 and some change. Sandwiches customizable and fresh, french fries were hot and there was a nice selection of soda from the fountain machine. Aiden the order taker was friendly and helpful in making up my mind. Abby was doing a great job keeping up on table service as people were coming and going quickly. Elizabeth was especially friendly and help me find an extra utensil I needed. I will definitely come back if I have time available.

This is the best burger in fast food. Always. Always fresh. Always served with a smile. Likely to do with the fact that the employees are paid well, service is typically excellent. I am usually all about variety, but In-N-Out does a simple menu with something close to perfection. They started the "secret menu" thing, and they still have the best one around! Whataburger, you will unfortunately always be second-rate. The burgers here are better and cheaper!

Animal style double burger very good but the fries are not so good. Fries are very dry if you get them plain and the taste does not taste like fries can't really say what. Not enough salt and have a different taste.

Customer service was top tier, but booth was kind of messy(had to clean off myself). Took about 7 and a 1/2 minutes to get our food(4 burgers+1 fry), quick for how many people there were. Food was great, shake was good. Burger was a good size and overall a good atmosphere.

It was my first time here and it wasn't too bad. It was weird that you have to ask for onion on your burger 🍔🤠🤣🤣 they don't put them on. I also dont do any type of sauce, and it comes on all the burgers. I skipped the sauce and opted for mustard. The taste was good but the false advertising on their menu is misleading when it comes to the thickness of the patties, like come on, where's the meat? The patty was good good, hot, and juicy, but way to thin.The fries were great no condiments needed. Crispy on the outside, fluffy in the middle, nice color, taste, and seasoned well. Other than those things I mentioned earlier, it was a good beginning to what's to come.

I don’t really like the food because I’m not big into fast food places, but the service is phenomenal and the staff is so caring and quick! I definitely recommend coming in to dine to see the wonderful service. And if it’s a rainy day, they give out to the kids a free hot chocolate. Since I did one for Whataburger I had to do one for In-N-Out as well. I know it’s a polarizing topic, but I prefer In-N-Out, the whole sociopolitical aspects aside. I got a double double animal style, just the burger, and spent a little over $5. It’s a small burger so if you’re not getting a meal and you’re hungry either get 2 or get the Triple Triple. The burger was delicious. The drive thru line was long and kind of slow. I would go back and but I wouldn’t exclusively go to Whataburger or In-N-Out. I like them both. The double cheeseburger from WB is a little more expensive and way bigger. If these regional chains aren’t close to where you live you should definitely try them out.

Well, this was our first time trying the famous In-N- Out Burger. I must say the food was freshly cooked and not too bad. Everyone is entitled to they're own opinions so......to each his/her own. The young lady at the counter was very helpful and friendly. You can tell she's felt with difficult order requests.... very patient and nice. The environment was clean and the service was decent. Everybody was so nice. We were wondering how the fries stayed crispy through our entire time eating there. So weird! Good Fries made with sunflower seed oil so that means no bad after taist or greasy mouth. We will be coming back for seconds soon. If there is one thing I had to say negatively about this restaurant it would be that the men's restroom was dirty and needs attention. Aside from that all is well.

Staff is quick and friendly food always tastes good. Would probably investigate why the buns are always so stale and fall apart. It's pretty freaking gross when my burger bun just diss materializes into dust.

I got a double double, fries animal style, and a strawberry shake. The burger and shake were amazing!! but im not a fan of their fries; they have a weird texture. We went a couple of hours before they closed, and although it was super packed, they moved very quickly, and the workers were very friendly.

My 1st visit to an In-N-Out in Texas! This is in Windcrest, a "bedroom burg" town in San Antonio. I live in downtown S.A. & had to take the bus. Windcrest is on the northeast side of town. Food is good, I had the Cheeseburger combo with grilled onions. Fries were Light Well; slight crunch but basically soft. Came out hot, salty & fresh. Not used to their sponge dough bun; seems thick compared to most other hamburger buns. Baked fresh. Service & atmosphere are good, was slightly impatient. Family-friendly & constantly cleaned!

Only place I can take my assistant who is celiac and has many other food allergies - they have always made sure there is no cross contamination. Although which their new employees - I do think they might need a little more sensitivity to allergies training, she did get sick the one of the last times we ate there. We have since been and everything was ok!

I had not been to an In-N-Out. The food wasn't bad. They the folks were attentive and professional. I just order a burger with cheese and fries. It wasn't bad and I was able to afford it without a drink. It was something quick and it hit the spot. The are was clean and the workers were going around wiping and cleaning tables. All good!

The atmosphere and service were great, and the portion sizes were good. However, the food itself was quite salty, which made it difficult to fully enjoy the flavors. I think reducing the salt would really improve the overall experience.

I’m a big fan of In-N-Out Burger, and the Double-Double is hands down one of my favorite burgers in the United States—always fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. This particular branch maintains the high standards of cleanliness and service that the chain is known for, and the staff were especially friendly, helpful, and genuinely pleasant to interact with. However, there were a few drawbacks during my visit that are worth mentioning. The fries were unfortunately cold and tasted like they had been sitting out for a while, which was disappointing given how good they usually are when fresh. Additionally, I had asked for pickles but they were missing from my order, and the location felt quite empty when I arrived, which gave off a slightly odd vibe. Despite these minor issues, I still recommend this location and will definitely be coming back for my Double-Double fix. Just hoping for hotter fries next time! I’m giving this visit 4 out of 5 stars.

WMy husband and I did . "Drive through" with our fur-baby today, Thursday February 10th around 1115. We each had a "double-double" with cheese, fries and a drink. We got the "Scubby Snack" (a small beef patty) for our Corgi and found a friendly spot for lunch. Both of our meal were DELICIOUS and Dad broke the Scooby snack into pieces, feeding them one at a time to our pup. We all ate everything and now it's nap time. Oh, for a threesome feast we paid $23. Very reasonable. Very yummy!

Very crowded. Lots of people eat lunch here. Burgers are juicy and fries are good (not great). Iced tea not as good as Whataburger. They keep a clean dining room and things running pretty smoothly. Of course, I will return here and eat again.

This was our first experience with In/Out burger. Overall, great staff. They were all very friendly and helpful. Restaurant was clean. Prices are great as well! Three of us ate for a combined $22! That included two shakes. The only negative was their fries were very spongy, they seemed to have been sitting under the heating area for some time. Besides that, everything was great! We loved everything else about this location!

What a place! The service here is next to none! There are so many employees here and they all have different tasks. The restaurant is extremely clean and the food was delicious. The burgers and french fries are made fresh and you can tell. I got the double double animal style and animal style fries and both were delicious! The price was also extremely fair, especially in a time when other fast food place's prices are skyrocketing.

Ordered the famous or maybe infamous Flying Dutchman Onion Wrapped….pictures say everything. Maybe it was because it’s Fathers Day….maybe not….but it looked nothing like what I’ve seen posted by others. Should have stuck to protein style.

Great food, great service and the BEST fountain drink Coca-Cola products I've had in a restaurant! Usually they get things right so I never checked the bag, but had 2 wrong items. They were GOOD but not what I ordered so CHECK IT before you leave. I think because its so good they get so slammed something got mixed up.

I was pretty disappointed with my visit to In-N-Out Burger this time around. The fries were so overcooked and hard that they were practically inedible – definitely not up to the usual standard. The burger didn’t fare much better; it just didn’t have the same fresh, flavorful taste I’ve come to expect from In-N-Out’s West Coast locations. As for the location itself, it felt a bit lacking and didn’t have the usual clean, welcoming vibe. The place reminds me of and old Steak-N-Shake. Super busy. Service was fine but the food was lacking. The burger was ok but the fries were TRASH. Worst experience I’ve had at an in n out. It’s packed on a Sunday night which is no one’s fault but the staff was terrible. I get to the line and there’s a cashier lecturing another cashier in front of everyone and rather than taking orders the like is just building up. Next there’s no tables or places to sit which isn’t anyone’s fault so well before my order comes out I ask if I can make my order to go instead. I’m #96 and they were barely in the mid 80s. Instead of saying yes or sure or anything at all the pregnant worker gives me the most annoyed look I’ve ever seen and walks away without confirming anything. Never came back to say anything. Lastly I get my order and it’s Togo which I’m glad, just to see they didn’t include a fork for the animal fries which they always do. No big deal, I go ask for the fork and the dude literally doesn’t acknowledge me or say anything he just has a blank stare on his face and gives me the fork. The only reason this is a 2 and not a 1 star is because the food was great as usual. Atmosphere was bad due to bad attitudes and a dirty restaurant. I have had better service at gas station fried chicken restaurants. I understand days get rough and you aren’t always 100% but this was bad across the board. I do not plan on coming back to this location. Alamo ranch is significantly further but they would never act like this.

Totally overrated, small burguers (however, good for the cost) but no flavor whatsoever. Fries half-cooked, even though they are "fresh" as they are slicing them in front of you. At least not coming back to the franchise or this location in SA, I'm sure the ones in LA might be a different story, but not this one.

I ordered the #1 burger was decent but the fries were horrible and the cheese on the fries was just a slice of cold cheese not even melted - $61 spent for the family and the majority went into the trash

My spouse brought me lunch and my burger was undone and undercooked. Was very pink on the inside. So I didn’t eat it. When trying to contact to make them aware they have a customer service number that is not in service for all San Antonio locations. So we wasted money and I’m at work hungry.

Soggy nasty old food. Also got charged for extra fries. Customer service is a joke. Thanks for the help Tammy.

My fries, allegedly fresh fried, were not. Rather fried and heated again under a heat lamp. They were not even hot or warm. They were old and tasted that way. I only live a mile away. With no stops, they still should have been warm.

This location has gone down hill and I'm done. I ordered a #2 but I received a burger with pickles and mustard. You can't get your basic burger right? I used the restroom to find you had to be a football player to lock the middle stall. Water leak on the floor with soap bubbles. Slip and slide in the whole woman's restroom. Numerous windows are boarded up so something bad happened here. Avoid this location. Taco Cabana next door looks good.
