What can I say? It's TC, the food is just good. But what makes this location stand out is Mark. If you're lucky enough to catch him, he'll make your day. I catch myself driving out of my way just for this guy. Dude deserves a raise!
I am totally a Taco Cabana fanatic!! I frequent many of the stores all around San Antonio. The bean and cheese tacos are my favorite 🌯🌯🌯❤️. I'm at a Taco Cabana at least 6-7 times a week faithfully. I said all of that to say this. " Out of the many, many Taco Cabanas I've been to I have NEVER received bad service"! No not never. This Taco Cabana happens to be one of my favorite one's. Keep up the great work and I hope I continue to receive the awesome service I've been receiving. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Teens birthday 15th birthday weekend gets him anything he wants (within reason). First thing he wants when he walks thru the door from school? Food from Taco Cabana! He ordered the beef, beans and cheese nachos and a beef and cheese burrito. The guy who took our order was extremely nice and very patient. I can't remember the last time I visited Cabana and my birthday boy wasn't sure what he wanted so it took a minute to give our order. When we received it and got home with it, he said everything was perfect, and delicious as well. I declined to order (birthday weekend.. Meals are his choice (again, within reason) His food cost a mere $10, a bargain for the boy with the bottomless tummy. None of it went to waste but it took him 3 separate tries! He persevered and finally got that humongous burrito down! All the nachos also. Bottomless pit.... Ya gotta love it!

We came and had beef fajitas and margarita. The fajitas were tender the tortillas were soft. They might be short staffed cause the island condiments were half empty. And there were no napkins or forks but when the guy brought our food we told him amd he brought them out. Goid experience
Thank you Taco Cabana! We had a celebration for 90 people and ordered the taco bar through the catering section of their site. Everything was PERFECT! The food was delicious, packed beautifully and ready on time. General Manager for the store, Tino, met us at pick-up, was so friendly and even helped us carry to the car. So thankful!
The manager and her team are always awesome. They take my order over the phone, (because I'm old school like that) and they have it ready when they said they will. Only one time someone in the back missed up my order because the were trying to give it to the customer drive thru window, so they had to make it all over again. Other then that, they have been doing every well on my orders when I call them in. Thank you very Taco Cabana, and I'll see y'all soon. Yum yum 😋.
I have had multiple delivery orders with missing or incorrect items and the management immediately offered solutions. The GM esmi has sent or driven small items and really made it worthwhile. In other situations the managers are very forthcoming with solutions that are reasonable, and the food is always really well prepared. Hence why I keep going. This store is really a great example of people just trying to do a good job..and I am very appreciative of their efforts.
Favorite place for happy hour. Especially this location. Shannon and all the staff are always friendly and have our food out fast and fresh . Come here at least 3 times out the week for my margaritas and half priced nachos . 5 stars 🌟

Great people working at the Taco C! Went on Christmas eve to get fajitas for the family was informed in tbe drive through it would be about a 30 min wait. Manager was very nice and apologetic and gave us a "customer satisfaction" discount for having to wait so long. Great food, Great people.

I love this place. I enjoyed the management she did a wonderful job. She helped me with my issue. And I felt respected from her. I'm a five-star review Company in San Antonio. You are lucky to have this manager. I would love for her to work for me. I own time out Carpet Care and water removal. I've been voted top 10 Carpet Cleaning company the last 2 years. You can do your research. I came in tonight and she did a wonderful job. Somebody misunderstood the order. And instead of arguing with me or trying to be egotistical. She listened to me and make sure the order was taken care of personally I love this Taco Cabana every time I come here. I forgot what her name was. I've had my ups and downs here, but overall they have overcome all obstacles completely redeeming themselves of past transgressions. The quesadilla that had mold on it was an oversight and I probably needed the penicillin anyways with covid around. The manager was to stubborn to admit she was wrong(bad eyesight as well)and comp my next meal or discount it even. She didn't even help in the process shouting at her hardworking staff all the while. But other than needing new management or training there of, all is well now. Love ya TC!
We come here a lot to enjoy a nice meal with some margaritas. Especially in beautiful sunny weather to enjoy the outdoor seating. This location always decorates for holidays putting you in the spirit. I also love the structure of the building, with large open windows for outside view and plenty of natural light. Service is friendly and professional.

The African American lady that works in the inside is the best employee she really greets you with love, and she definitely makes sure you have all the food that you paid for. I just love her. I don't even go through the drive thru I go inside because I want 100% great customer service and she gives it every time. The other employees just look at you crazy they act like they are frustrated too see customers. If that sweet lady not in there when me or friends and family go. We do not eat there.

I placed my order through the app. Once I arrived I let them know that I place my order on the app, pulled up to the window my order was not only ready, but it was hot a d fresh. The lady at the window greeted us and even had a smile on her face.

This location is pretty okay. I'm a little bummed out that they closed the other location that was closer to me. However! Food quality is good. Honestly, I kinda wish that they made bigger cabana bowls to pack more food cause that's just how good it is. As a TC loyalty member, just a tip though? Your tortillas could be bigger. Great service and attentive workers. We came here every morning before a week long class in the area. We always came through the breakfast rush. Anytime we had to wait they apologized for the inconvience and promptly too our order. I've always liked Taco Cabana and the freshness and variety of the food.
There was no self-service salsa bar on The inside and it looked dead. Almost abandoned. The staff was great even though it seemed like they were all young kids not really knowing what to do they had a positive attitude about it aside from one young girl to seem to get annoyed every time we ask for something since things weren't available as they usually are at every other taco cabana. The food was Good, that was awesome though! Shout out to the cooks!!
Went through drive thru tonight, 20 minutes before close(sorry) and ordered $25 worth of food. Service was friendly, food was fresh and looked amazing. You could visibly see everyone working hard. Thank you for the awesome food and memorable experience
This particular location has always been hit or miss on the quality of employee I'm dealt. What's usually very consistent is the quality and accuracy of my food order. Can't remember the last time I've had a mistake or badly made product. Also, it's high time you do something about that parking lot...you nearly need a 4x4 to make it through.
Well, the food was hot and fresh so the fact that we had to wait for it to come out was not a problem. We got the newest cabana bowls, and I must admit mine was tasty! It was a good visit.

Went through the drive thru here on a Friday morning around 8am. It is pretty busy with the drive thru line really long BUT they served all the cars super fast! So not really a big deal. I swung by because of the new all day breakfast tacos, specifically the potato ranchera and potato a la mexicana ones. These being the only vegan options at Taco Cabana now I wanted to try them and make sure they know I appreciate them having vegan food items. Taco Cabana used to have Beyond Meat tacos and cabana bowls but sadly it looks like they've discontinued it. I asked for it here and they said they didn't have it. I haven't been able to find it at any locations for months and months now. So I guess I'll be coming here for these breakfast tacos now. They're really good! Let's hope they keep them on the menu!
They closed the taco cabana near me by IH 35 & OConnor Road. Sad. The company needs to sit down and have an honest discussion about there restaurants. Good and bad Taco Cabana. The good...1. Budget friendly. 2. Nice roomy clean atmosphere. 3. Patio dinning option. 4. Enticing menu items. 5. Self serve sauce bar. Now the bad...1. Food quality not consistent. 2. Sometimes employees become to involved in there food prep and takes longer give your order. 3. They cut corners on certain foods to save money and get you sick afterwards like ground beef, chicken and not keeping steak fajitas at correction preserved temp. Also they get greedy on steak fajitas serve portions. 4. Run out of certain hot sauces at sauce bar or bar not kept up. My feel is rather than to close most of Taco Cabanas...is instead upgrade the menu and don't cut corners. People are not dumb. They know what is good and not. One of the keys to any restaurants success is stay true to what works and less focus in increasing your bottom line. If you love what you sell and do whatever it takes, it will show. And more customers will come...Peace.

Its ok. Honestly just shocked by how inflation has apparently affected this particular restaurant. The food quality isnt worth the price. How can taco bell can shove beans ,cheese and rice in a tortilla for 1$, but even there dozen bean and cheese come out to about 18$...makes no sense. I absolutley have no intrest in returning. To be fair though, restraunt appears clean inside, staff friendly and order recieved accurately.
They always have decent to good food there. Sadly the salsa bar is still not up. But one of the problems is that a tea pitcher was linking and except for fixing the problem or taking it away. They let it drip all over the floor and just put up wet floor signs. It’s just unsafe practices. Makes you wonder what they do in the kitchen.
If you're craving a taco this is your quick go to. When we got here there was no one in the dinning area. We were greeted right away. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. Our food was nice and hot. Good Taco Cabana.
Not a bad location, but wasn't happy with the food or the serving size. I had enough meat in all the street tacos to really make just one.... the rice was very bland as well.
This young lady kept getting my ordered wrong twice after repeating it to her. When I corrected her, she sighed into the microphone in agitation, and acted all nice when I pulled to the window. If you see this, I know God already taken care of you the way you treated me.
Review based on visit on 8/21/2022 at 10:20am. This store is better than others, but there is room for improvement. When dispensing my own soda, there was black stuff on the clear plastic where the ice comes out (I think it was mold), so I got a napkin and wiped it off. I ordered online from their app and picked up inside. The app said it would be ready in 20 minutes (why does it take so long?), then, the order wasn't even started by the time I got there. Secondly, I have to buy fountain soda when I get there (you cant order it online with the rest of your order). Also, I can get a senior citizen discount in person, but not online. By the time I got my food and got my own drink, I would have been much better off in the drive thru. Bottom line is ordering online in the app; Takes longer Costs more (no senior discount) Requires more of my time getting my own drinks I have to walk into the store anyway (cant order fountain drink online). Why even bother with the app? The app works great, but makes no sense when you look at the big picture.
Waited a really long time. There were only 2 cars ahead of me... Felt like I waited for like 20 mins. Got food and they didn't provide or ask if I wanted any salsa so I drive home not knowing that. Ordered chicken tacos with grilled veggies and 1 of them was loaded up pretty good and the other one was as if they ran out of supplies. Overall, good tasted good but disappointing given the wait time, forgot salsa, and price point of it all.
It's okay....they have changed the recipe and menu. Overall it has declined in quality and it's not appealing in comparison to the 90's on untill the recent change in the taste. I personally like the more simple flavors of the fajitas both beef and chicken fire grilled. Although they still grill in a similar manor the taste is not pleasant. However sopapias and churros are good. My nachos were cold and the meat tasted like it sat in the warmer and dried out.....
Food is good and tasty, cosidering the cost. Service needs due care in order to make customers feel welcomed and appreciated. The restaurant had napkins everywhere, the toppins bar did not look fresh, and at least, that I remember my table was dirty. A few twicks and you will get a five.
I ordered the brisket egg and cheese taco, the flautas with guac and sour cream and then a side of small chips with NO queso for anything.....I get my food and when I look in the bag, there's a big and a little side dish, BOTH of them are filled with queso and there's no guac or sour cream anywhere!! So I'm about to have plain flautas with nothing to dip them in because I can't eat the cheese....sad day....I need to remember to check the bag next time before leaving...but the guy at the window was nice and the brisket taco was delicious!
The place was spacious & did not have any problems in accommodating ADA request to pair-up tables for wheelchair use. The food was good, though considering the price $$$, was served in small portions (by weight I was informed). There was LOTS OF LETTUCE served with the guacamole & sour cream. Rice & Beans & tortillas also served with the medium group meal. The food was warm at best though it was served on a sizzling skillet....?
We went through the drive thru and received 6 of the tiniest bean and cheese tacos I have ever seen and no straws for our drinks. The tiny tacos seems to be a consistent problem with all TC's, and I am going to them less and less. Don't raise prices and then shrink the product. We see what you're doing TC, and it's not going to bode well for your future.
The young lady (name unknown) who took my order made my day. She had good energy, and an attitude of gratitude. I was so impressed with her I gave her the last $4 cash I had in my purse 👜. Unfortunately my Cabana bowl meal didn't match her enthusiastic personality. My bowl (shell) was hot, crunchy and delicious. The rice was crunchy and the flavors did not mesh. I had to sip water after every bit because it was so.... dry. I ate approximately three fourths and disposed of the rest. When made properly I crave a Cabana bowl.
I know it was Easter but if your going to work be nice, if you don’t like your job go home don’t treat people because your unhappy. The menu is totally different and is not lit very good hard to read. The avocado serving is less the a spoon full, rice was cold-beans warm with the taco being hot. only 2 napkins per tray?!? this place needs to be grabbed by the reigns by the owner or will not make the next year (guarantee it) good luck in the near future. It was clean, the staff was nice and polite. We got our food within 15mins. Everyone enjoyed there meal but I may say mine was basically two tortillas smashed together with barley any cheese and barley any meat, what it did have was all in the center basically. For me it wasn't really worth it or filling.
We have used app to order several times. Tonight when I showed up to pu order was told they have no cheese. How does a Mexican restaurant run out of cheese? Staff was incredulous at best. They said they had no way to let me know until I showed up.
Did an online order at 7:25. Said food will be ready at 7:35. Arrive at 7:34, stand at the register for 4 minutes while the employees looked up at me but didnt greet me (I was the only person standing there). Then finally a young lady came to the front, and she is the only reason I am even giving two stars as she was very nice and attentive. I told her I had an online order and she looked up at the screen and made a face and told me It would be 5 or 6 minutes. I then heard her tell her coworker that they hadn't even started my order. I stood there for another 10 minutes and finally got my food. Got home and the 18 flautas I ordered were over cooked and as hard as rock. We threw them all away. Note to manager, train your employees to look up and greet the customer upon their arrival and teach them to say "someone will be right with you" instead of leaving them standing there. And note, the manager was one of the 6 people that looked up at me and stared at me while she made eggs... Poor service.

Got a bean & cheese taco with a tiny tortilla of course but with like 3 bites I'd bean & cheese. Ridiculous & unacceptable. Come on, do better!!! 1 tiny taco with barely anything inside is not worth the gas, wear & tear, time & definitely not my hard-warned $$$. Please care & do your job. Pay attention. If you are told to barely put anything on a taco, them shame on management too!!! Not coming back here
This place has really gone downhill. The place was empty but the menu screens weren't working and my table was sticky. I ordered a special they had with 6 bean and cheese tacos and 2 drinks it was about $15 I was a little dissapointed. Tacos were still ok but the place felt uninviting.
The food is still pretty good, even after these years. Ok Mexican food at a reasonable price. The downside to taco Cabana is the service and this location is no exception. When asking any questions, was met with scowls, disbelief, disdain, and "What"or "huh". There are good employees at TC, they just don't stay around, the other employees run them off! Lol. Idk, enjoy the food anyways
I'm in town for a month to take care of some business. Initially I was reluctant to us this location with such poor reviews. But despite that, nearly every morning I've picked up breakfast and it's been good. This morning however, I had the misfortune of being helped by Gloria (according to the receipt). She was short, didn't not pay attention, and blew my questions off like I was bugging her. It's a shame that one employee can ruin what has otherwise been a good experience. You're not a people person gloria. Find something else to do.
Ordered 2 tacos , one bean and cheese and one CHICKEN fajita. Instead I got a BEEF fajita and the bean and cheese taco was very messy! The beans were outside the tortilla and all over the foil . Made a mess when opening foil. Wish they would have more attention to detail :( they also close Early and don’t go by their posted hours of operation. Lobby closes at 11pm but they locked the doors at 10:50pm.
My experience was terrible. Ordered (2) chicken fajita combos. Got (2) pork taco combos. Didn't realize it until I was home. Ate 1 pork taco and it was terrible. The taco was cold. The service was not friendly. Ordered through the drive thru at around 10pm.
I ordered 3 b/ch tacos thru the drive thru, took my bag home, and a baby roach was in the bag. Safe to say I lost my appetite. The employee that took my order in the drive thru was nice, though! Maybe just clean the place up a bit. 😭 I know it's a pain to keep up with at restaurants, but super necessary.
Pictures posted are what we ordered versus what we got... they had us pull up (with no one behind us) for fresh tortillas, only for the inside to look like this. The 5 pieces of chicken are burnt and matching 5 pieces of cheese are nonexistent. $10 for 2 "fresh" tortillas and old insides is quite a waste.

UPDATE: it’s getting to the point that I spend at least 15-20 minutes in the drive thru if not more. This is ridiculous… I am on lunch to eat not waste gas in the drive thru at tc when I can go to bennys across the street (an actual restaurant {so better food} that don’t take 20 minutes to get my food out and they have a drive thru) and pay less. OLD REVIEW I have never really had issues here. There is one time they ddnt have flour tortillas which I thought was weird but other than that there are two memorable drive thru people. The kind gentleman from the morning shift and the lady from the morning shift drive thru. You know who you two are and go you for being super awesome every morning! I really appreciate your cheer
We went to this Taco Cabana, hoping to unwind after a long day at work. However, there was a 8-10 minute wait per car and when we pulled up, we realized that the workers had taken our order wrong. We politely pointed out the mistake and immediately, one of them states, "This is why I repeated your order but okay" and slams the window shut (note: no order was actually repeated, they had simply just did the order wrong). Absolutely horrible customer service during the night time and the food was poor quality.
Gross. The last to times I have ordered from here it has been a nightmare. First through doordash where half my food wasn’t delivered. They offered to replace the meal but never had the items when I callled..,3 times. Gave up after a month. Today, I ordered nachos and chips and quezon. The chips in both were not only stale but stale and nasty. Smelled off and old. So that is twice I have paid for food and didn’t get what I paid for. This used to be a great place to eat. I will never risk my money, time and energy on this restaurant again. I strongly advise others stay away. No quality control whatsoever. They do not care what gets sent out. Done.

Music too loud, my cabana bowl with chicken fajita was not good and the chicken was super hard as if from hours ago. Same with chicken fajita tacos my husband had. My daughter's enchiladas were good but the rice on the plate was not fully cooked...it crunched. The margaritas were good and the lady who took our orders was nice. Last timed was here was my birthday party. Our food (ordered 45 min earlier)came as we were getting ready to leave. The bathrooms were atrocious. Not sure what happened to this TC...I'll not be back.😖
Usually when I get nachos, there's not enough meat nor cheese. Tonight, I got a good serving of both, BUT THIS TIME ... I got NO sour cream, NO salsa and NO guacamole. I wanted to go have lunch here because I know they have good service. But today it was unbelievable. First of all, a man who was cleaning spoke to us an he was speaking so low we couldn't understand hi..then when we went to go place our order, one of the cashiers said it wasn't her time to go do orders. We ended up walking out the door. Terrible service I've ever had there. I won't return because of it. If you are on the clock to work, you should be there to serve all people, regardless if you want to or not.
It wasn't busy and yet the tables needed cleaning. The server came out with someone else's food. The restrooms wreaked. The enchiladas were hard as s rock. The salsas were good. The rest was just mediocre. We don't want to go there again!
Absolutely the worst nachos I’ve ever had, beans tasted spoiled the meat had a rotten aftertaste horrible, I was able to drink the soda at least
Order was wrong, Then complain to female manager. With NO Customers Service skills at all. Rude. Made me feel I ordered the order worng. .... also homeless man in lobby.. when I asked to restroom manager stated it was out of Order.
Showed up at 10:30pm and was told to go through the drive thru even though the sign says Dine In open til 11pm. The location on Ritiman used to do the same shit and now they’re closed. Wont be long before this one follows....
The bathroom stench got me throwing up my food in the sink. Call rotorooter and get those toilet pipes cleaned already!...its friggin disgusting!
Me and my family went to get carne guisada tacos and it ended up looking more like “carne guisada juice” tacos all soggy !!?I didn’t even have the strength to complain, the line was so long in the drive-thru please don’t make my mistake and check your tacos if I could give a zero stars I would.
I came in a little late because I have been traveling for half the day. I’m staying at the hotel right next to them and the sign says that dine in is open until 11 pm but the closed the door at 11:45 and then didn’t want to open the door once they saw us.
Went there on a Friday for lunch about 1130-. One person at the counter waiting for her order as she was laughing and talking to an employee as well as a lady cooking the food. Another lady making tortillas and another lady walking around with a headset on. I stood at the order counter for at least 2 minutes and was never acknowledged by anyone. I didn't say anything. I just walked out the door and will never come back.
I went through your drive through. And I placed my order as clearly as I could because I know drive through can be challenging to hear one another. I believed I said it twice at the drive through. Did I want it chicken fajita tacos? And she gave me beef fajita tacos. Which we still have here. And we are gonna go and return them today. And I also told her to give me. The soap appears playing and they put a pound of sugar in there. I told her and I told her and I told her. But they were giggling and having fun insight. You could hear everybody and that allows you not to pay attention to the customer. Also, when I got to the actual window to pay, I repeated it again. I'm sure I did it twice again and it still didn't come out right? We were looking for this particular dinner. Because we had worked really hard all day. My mom and I. And it ruined our dinner our night. My total was 2736. That might not , be a lot of money to you. But it is money to us and we would have appreciated a nice meal without any complications. When someone is at the window. You're employees have to pay attention. I could hear everybody in the background laughing and talking. I think it's nice when you get to have a good time at your job. But don't forget about the customers because without the customers you won't have a job
First time eating here. I ordered Door dash from here. I got the Cabana Sampler. It was so greasy and salty. They didn't add my tortillas on the side too. I got sick (food poisoning) afterwards. If I can rate this restaurant zero stars I would. Worse food I've ate!
This is the worst restaurant I have ever been to in my life. The food was terrible, and my sister ordered a salad and after ordering it they gave it to her without dressing because there simply wasn't any. I went with my two children and they only had a high chair. You can imagine my other son crying because he also wanted a chair. The atmosphere was hot. The people who serve you better stay home and not go out to work. They were all bitter and provided terrible service. It doesn't end there. When I went to the bathroom to change my baby's diaper, there was no changing station. I had to change him in the sink. I will never return to this place in my life.
ordered a Cabana Bowl with Black Beans. Guy at window didin't try whatsoever. I had to ask for SALSA 4 times and was met with blank stare. He should be fired, he's not trainable. Needless to say Cabana Bowl came out with refried beans after I repeated order the the blank stare 4 times
Every time I go the food is wrong, the employees are rude and angry. I went to pick up a wrong order that they messed up last weekend and then we get to the window, they say 3 beans and cheese, wrong order. It was cabana bowl. I get home and thd order still isn't right. Also the put a lot over sized lettuce. That you wouldn't even go in a salad. I will NOT be going their ever agian. Don't waste your time and money. The whole experience was horrible every time. Food sucks, can't get orders right and the employees got mad attitude. Thumbs down
How is this place still open? Food was horrible so I asked if they could refund me the money which they did. Also the place is just dirty, it almost looks like it is closed but it isn't.
I ordered online, they skipped out on my orange juice and they didn't get my order right in general. This is the second time this has happened. They are careless and wasted my money :(
I would give 0 stars if I could. I love Taco Cabana. I ordered 2 crispy beef tacos. Drove about 10 min away. I paid extra for sour cream & saw none. Drove back the 10 min. I got an ugly argument at drive thru speaker telling me it was under all the meat!!! She wanted me drive up and she could peel them apart and show me bc she made them. I said no!! Then someone else came on and offered to remake. I asked if they put cold sour cream under hot meat now. He said no it is usually on top. He gave me new & took the old. The burned taco shells were awful and the salsa that I ALWAYS loved is now nothing but water. I couldn't even finish the watered down soup taco mess. Waste of money. Horrible service. Sad the the poor guy tried to make it better and then I got burnt shells and water with a little tomato no taste at all Salsa.

Ordered a box of 12 breakfast tacos TC’s way and it’s good for them that I had paid for it online already. Walking into the restaurant there was no one available at the front to handle online pickup orders and it took about 5 minutes for someone to check on the front and get my order to me. While I was waiting, looking around the kitchen showed a lot of dirty areas and lack of safe hygiene practices. The tacos were about average for the chain as far as taste and appearance. Two of the people in my office ended up getting sick from eating the tacos. I definitely won’t be back, even though it wws really convenient to place the order and get it on the way to the office in the morning, it’s definitely not worth the increased time taken because of the general laziness of the employees and lack of food safety.
I just waited 25 minutes and did not receive my order. When I gave them my receipt and said “Forget the order, I need to get back to work” the staff looked at me and walked away. Not even an apology, worse staff ever. They seem to be so busy keeping the drive thru moving they forgot about the inside orders. There were other guests that waited ought a long time before me. Skip this location.
I went today with my mom and this is the second time our food was cold we give second chances but they lost our business the food is either cold or we are missing something. I will be spreading the word on my social platform not to come to this location.
