Walked in about 30 minutes after they opened and it was already SRO. We ordered the pizza (to go) at the bar, and I had a drink while we waited. Bartender was friendly, funny, and took very good care of us. When we got the pizza back to our timeshare it was still hot and tasted very good. The crust was done right, the toppings were spread evenly and tasted good. We didn't quite know what to say when asked if we wanted honey for our crust so we said yes. This does not happen in our part of California, but it actually works. We both tried it and liked it. Apparently it is a Colorado thing. I wonder what my friends will think.

Great experience all the way around. Pizza was really solid. They weren't shy about the toppings either, which was a refreshing surprise. The family sized salad was excellent too - no skimping on the ingredients. Our kids ate all the chicken alfredo, so it must have been good. Service was fast and friendly too

I have been coming here for decades and always enjoy ordering food and having a beer at the bar while I wait. The bartenders are excellent with a good selection of beer, while the food is always delicious. This last trip, I was hungry from the drive up the mountain and a day on the slopes. Didn't want to make dinner and was by myself, so I ordered a Stomboli with pepperoni and sausage. My condo was up the road, so I walked there. Once again, everything was incredible.

I have been going here since I was a kid. I still remember it when it was across the street! You are able to make reservations, which I recommend as walk ins often have over an hour wait. The food is great!! Better if you dine in. Take out ends up getting a little soggy. Service is great. Beer in the mason jar is great. It's all great! Even the dollars on the wall. Go to Hernandos! Thank me later.

Made reservations the night before for a party of 5 at 5:45 on a Saturday. Showed up at 5:30 to check in and we were seated at 5:45 on the dot. Table was a little cramped but we were fine since we had a couple of kids. Ordered some drinks and a spinach and artichoke dip appetizer. Came pretty quick and everything was delicious. We also ordered a few pizzas and those came out shortly after the apps. Everything was delicious! If I had to critique anything, it would be that the meatballs that were ordered as a topping is really just ground beef spread around. Not really a meatball... Which makes the kids sad. Our server was great and the food was great also. Just be prepared to wait if you don't have a reservation!

The times we've visited Hernando's it has been busy, lively, and noisy, the perfect atmosphere for a family of seven adults arriving at Winter Park in a mood for fun. They even sat us at the same table! The servers are quick off the mark, friendly, and accommodating. The menu is built around a good selection of salads, pizza, pasta, and Italian sandwiches. Everyone enjoyed the family-sized Green Garden salad. Anchovy pizza! Yum! (For my middle son and I, everyone else detests it.) But they had plenty of their own choices (Chicken Parmigiana, vegetable sub, supreme pizza) and all the food was great.

Visiting Snow Mountain Ranch YMCA every staff member recommended this place, great pizza,lasagna,cheese bread get reservations early even for dinner start in the morning !! Crazy busy because it's great Italian also bar with great drinks. Total family 4 with 1 alcohol drink $116 those are Texas prices!! Coming back next year Def hitting this place!staff very friendly customer service great

Wings. Let me elaborate. Please try these wings ($23 a dozen). I went because my friends recommended the pizza, but I always have to try wings. I think you could tell in the video, but they were so moist on the inside and had the perfect crisp on the outside. We also got the pesto pizza ($25 for 14" pie) and the ravioli ($12) to share. The 1/2 & 1/2 ravioli, which is meat/cheese. I had their rotating sour, duh, which was $6. All in all, the 3 of us were full, we really enjoyed the food and we will be back! The story about the dollar bills all over the walls is pretty cool too, this place has history!

Absolutely terrific! Did a take out order after the Jazz Fest, ordered from the bar from Molly - so sweet. We had the Garden Salad, Supreme Pizza, Chicken Parm, Rigatoni with Meat Sauce, kids fettuccine Alfredo and we built our own with the Simone garlic base *DELICIOUS *- EVERYTHING was fresh, well seasoned and devoured. Not a drop left. And I should mention that we sat at the bar for a quick round while we waited for our food - Molly and Hubby were so friendly, and the restaurant is a total vibe. Yum!

We ate at Hernando's one night and had pizzas and beer outside on the patio. The service was friendly and efficient and the pizzas were excellent. Well worth a visit while staying in Winter Park.

Overall this is an excellent place. The bad: they won’t split checks, so if you’re coming with a large group keep that in mind. The good: great service. excellent food made quickly. Cool vibe inside the restaurant. We had a large group, 8 people. Our server was lovely, friendly, professional, accommodating. Pizza was ordered. Pasta was ordered. Chicken parmigiana was ordered. All were thoroughly enjoyed. Not one complaint and there are typically a few critical individuals in my group haha. Might I recommend the Alfredo with chicken, artichoke and sun dried tomatoes? I bet you’ve never had that combo before! Yeah it’s fantastic! Spinach/ Artichoke dip was reportedly very tasty as well. I think you’ll be quite happy with this spot, for a meal one evening!

Overall, Hernandos was a fun experience and I recommend checking it out. Service was great and no wait when we went. The garlic cheese bread and the salad were amazing and the ambiance is great. The only thing I knock is the pizza wasn’t very good (which is problematic for a pizza place). Aside from offering nothing larger than a 14”, they burn the crust seemingly intentionally since I saw every pizza around us come out that way. It’s Colorado style crust which is medium thickness but would have been good if not for the charred flavor.

Solid pizza. antipasto salad was more lettuce than I expected. The staff were delightful when my 7 YO asked about the number of dollar bills were on the tables and walls. We would eat here again.

Place was slammed and service was still pretty fast. Stromboli was not what I expected- a tad small; Flavor was still good and it would go great with a light pilsner or another light beer.

Overall, this was a really good experience with one major drawback. The food was amazing, the staff was very friendly, and the atmosphere is a whole vibe. The biggest disappointment was that the restaurant refused to split our checks. Our party of 14 was presented with a single bill totaling $330, which meant we had to figure out who owed what at the table. To make matters worse, I ended up having to put the entire bill on my card, including an additional 20% tip, and then try to collect from everyone afterward. Doing all of this math—factoring in tax and tip—without a pen and after having a few drinks was frustrating and really took away from the experience. We only needed five separate checks, which doesn’t seem unreasonable, and this is the first restaurant I’ve ever been to that refused to do separate checks. The restaurant was also a bit warmer than comfortable, but that was a minor issue compared to the check situation. Despite this, I would eat here again because the food was excellent—just with a smaller group where I’d be responsible for my own bill.

We walked in and the hostess was in a conversation with another Employee, she turned and looked at us as we stood by the hostess stand and then turned back to her conversation for an entire minute while we just stood there. Then turned to us and said can I help you? Obviously we are there to be seated. We order our food (14 inch pizza and 10” gluten free pizza). Both pizzas were burned but the gluten free was so over done that the crust was hard to eat. (It was a precooked crust probably Udi’s so there was no need to cook it as long as a normal pizza). To pay $55 for 2 pizzas with the service and burned pizza was a lot. ($21 for the gluten free). I’m sad to write this review. We used to live in county and this was our favorite place to eat. So we decided to eat here when we came to visit. It was not the same flavor or service we used to get here.

Ordered 4 pizzas plus Greek Salads with chicken to go for our last night in Winter Park. This was the worst food we've eaten during our trip. The order took over an hour from the time of order. I'm sorry, but the kitchen being "backed up" is a poor excuse. I asked for a large Greek salad with 2 sides of chicken that I was gladly expecting to pay for. I received a half cup of chicken "crumbles" for a salad that was big enough for 3 people. I'm originally from New Haven, CT which is known for the best pizza in the US so I don't expect any pizza to compare to that but this pizza was some of the worst I ever had. I'm not sure what kind of cheese was on the cheese pizza but it didn't taste like any kind of mozzarella I've ever had. Maybe this was a bad night for them but it turned into a disappointing dinner for us. I rarely write bad reviews (feel free to read my other reviews) but this one was unavoidable.
