This was a perfect dinner after a full day of skiing. The food was delicious and portions were generous. Perfect comfort food. Serif and Darko were so attentive and helpful. They gave great recommendations on the menu and answered all our questions.
Loved this place, timing was key as showed up before rush and had front row parking, and immediate seating. We ordered prosecco, old fashions, caeser salad, vegetarian lasagna, pasta carbonara, and canoli for desert. Price was reasonable for the the mountains.
This must be the best place in the area! Food was so fresh and delicious, desserts were off the charts. The lasagna, the bolognese, the beet salad, the veal, all wonderful. Thank you Darko and Serif! See you soon.
Great higher need restaurant in Wp! Nice atmosphere and great food. We have loved everything we have had. It’s got a good cozy feel and homemade pasta.
We had a great experience at Volario’s! They were able to accommodate our party of 10 pretty last minute. Our server, Maddox, was amazing. He was friendly, professional, and overall a pleasure. He handled our group, which included children, fantastically. If the owners/management reads this, please give him some recognition!! If we get a chance to go back this trip, we def will request his section if he’s working. For the food, everything we got was great. I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the pastas or pizza. The lemon brûlée dessert was also great. The perfect way to end the day after a full day on the mountain
Food and service were amazing! They were very accommodating with our large group, and our waitress was really nice and patient. The only thing we would have liked is having some complimentary bread, but other than that, we had a great time.
I made a reservation here for Christmas Eve probably 6-7 months in advance and they gave my fiancé and I the best seat in house and had excellent service. The food is awesome! Very cozy and comfortable. I would return next time I’m in town.
Everything about it was amazing. I can't remember our servers name, I wanna say Anna? The service was amazing. She was such a sweetheart. She went out of her way to double check ingredients for me as I don't eat dairy. Turns out their Ricotta is an herbal blend & dairy-free. I was so pleasantly surprised. I did cave for that lemon brûlée & I would absolutely do it again. The food was incredible & I am excited to return.
My daughter and I ate here on Saturday night while vacationing in the area. The food, service and atmosphere were excellent. The waiter, Sherif was very friendly and was very well versed on the menu providing awesome service. Darko also continuously kept our water glasses filled and was also very friendly. The manager stopped by our table introducing herself and asking if we needed anything. I had the 12 Layer Lasagne and oh my gosh, it was delish! If you’re looking for a wonderful dining experience, this is the place! We will definitely return.
Quaint little Italian place in Winter Park, CO. Has a nice big fireplace in one corner that will make it very cozy in cold weather. We had the 12 layer lasagna and the mushroom pomades, along with a Caesar salad and the fennel and arugula salad. All of it was fabulous! Wish we lived there and could go back soon to try other menu items! Service was excellent and the kitchen was quite prompt!
We had the most wonderful family dinner at Volario's on a perfect summer night. They seated us at one of their dog-friendly tables on the patio, right near the big outdoor fireplace. The combination of old jazz songs playing softly under the glow of string lights created the most perfect atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious—you can tell the pasta is made from scratch, and it makes all the difference. They also have a great wine selection to pair with your meal. We had an incredible time and will definitely be coming back!
Volario’s is hands down one of the best Italian restaurants not just in Winter Park, but in all of Colorado. Every time I dine here, I’m reminded why it’s my favorite spot in town. The food is consistently incredible—authentic, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the quality and care in every dish. The service is always top-notch. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do, which makes the dining experience even more enjoyable. Volario’s has an impressive selection of Italian wines. Whether you’re a local or just visiting Winter Park, this place is a must. Highly recommend making a reservation—once you try it, you’ll want to come back again and again.
This is a very special place for both an excellent meal and comfortable atmosphere when visiting the Winter Park area. While there are quite a few great dining options in the area, Volario's is our personal favorite for either a romantic date night or relaxed family dinner. The friendly service immediately makes us feel special, and both the inside and outdoor seating options are comfortable depending on the weather and mood of the occasion. Coming from the heart of Cow Country, we are no stranger to excellent beef, and many steaks around the country have disappointed our discerning taste. That said, the ribeye that was served with the house special at our last visit was the singularly most delicious medium-rare cut of beef I've ever enjoyed. From the lightly charred edges to the succulent red center, it was a beef lover's dream. The red wine recommendation from our server could not have paired better. My wife does not care for dry red wine, but she enjoyed two glasses of the Canvasback cabernet sauvignon paired with my steak and her mushroom pasta. You can tell that pride and discernment have gone into building the menus as well as the preparation and presentation of each dish. There is truly something excellent offered for just about any discerning patron. Lastly, save room for dessert as the options are the perfect capstone to a delicious dining experience. (My photo is of the cannoli, but my personal favorites are the tiramisu and creme brulé.) I hope you enjoy your experience here as much as we did! Salute!
Best experience ever, it was our 15th anniversary and we were treated wonderful by the waitress , the manager and everyone working that day. Made our night very special. They even followed up with us via email just to make sure we had a wonderful evening. Our night was beautiful, but I would recommend this restaurant for any nice meals at Winter Park. Food was very good. Thank you !! ❤️❤️
Had an exceptional meal there. Rosemary focaccia bread and a fresh Caesar salad to start, and then a 12 layer lasagna made with fresh made daily pasta was heaven. I really want to be very clear on their lasagna was the best I’ve had since I can remember. The sauce was thick with ground beef and spices but nothing was over done. We also did a very simple pizza with a dough that they let do its thing for 72 hours and the crust was perfect. Definitely used a pizza oven and the flavor profile was simple and spicy and just really tasty. We finished with Tiramisu which was homemade simple and delicious. Exactly what tiramisu should be cake coffee heaven. I cannot recommend this place enough. Also the staff were really cool. Our waiter did a fantastic job and talked us into two items we hadn’t planned on ordering but he sold them well and we are glad he did. The other staff were equally pleasant and discussed the wine collection that the restaurant has. We had a lot of fun and the food was 10/10 each dish!
Good food and good service. I had the Greens Salad and my husband had a pizza; both were delicious. We ate on the patio on a perfect summer day. As the evening progressed, it got chilly, and that is when a server turned on the fireplace outside; it certainly helped! They have cornhole that you can play while waiting for your food. All in all, I would return!
Phenomenal meal Sitting outside by the little stream of water was great with a refreshing Negroni - one of the best I ever had - learned a magic trick, burn the orange to bring out the citrus flavor! Lasagna was super light and fluffy and the wagyu is a nice touch. Our waiter was great, we actually took his number and want to connect next time we are in the area as he teaches skiing! Would love to come back for another meal here!
My favorite fine dining experience so far in WP. Owned by Devils Thumb Ranch Resort, the menu features curated cocktails, high value Wagyu beef, and special options. I had the Bolognese Tagliatelle, which was a generous portion. My spouse had the Lasagna, and out of the four entrees we ordered, this was the best. Our friends enjoyed the Gnocchi and the Papperdelle Borolo. Photos of each attached. For our cocktail we had the Devils Old Fashioned and, wow, that was truly special. The ambiance was quiet, warm and intimate. Not sure if they serve at the tables by the River but that would be amazing as well.
Loved that we were able to get a table as a walk-in on a Thursday evening in late February. We enjoyed the Wagyu Bolognese the most. The meatballs on the kids menu were definitely too spicy even for the adults. Wine selection was minimalist but something in every category. Environment was dark but nice & relaxing. Service was disjointed and a little slow…had about 5 different people tend to our table. Tiny LED lamps were on every table. The garlic croutons definitely highlighted the salad, it was excellent and the Calamari was outstanding. Extremely soft & tender!
Nice dimmed lighting atmosphere. Didn’t see any booths, open kitchen-you can see them making your food. Small menu-don’t go off their website, saw lots of pizzas and salads ordered by other tables. We went with the specials-braised short rib stuffed ravioli with demi-glaze (gravy) for an appetizer…SO DELICIOUS. Surf and turf (steak and shrimp) both were large (14oz steak and 3 large shrimps) with small side of pasta (didn’t taste-looked plain) and vegetable medley (squash, tomatoes, broccoli, onion) - flavorful. Veal Parmesan was good, cooked right but nothing special. Lemon burlee for dessert…definitely recommend-sweet and tarty mixed well with the berries; looked like a small portion but perfect for two after eating an appetizer, main course and drinks. Recommend the amaretto sour (no egg whites) but nothing special maybe too much lemon, couldn’t taste the amaretto. Whiskey sour with egg whites-those must’ve been good because they were ordered repeatedly. Service was a bit slow at first but recovered throughout the night-may have been several tables assigned, although there weren’t too many tables and didn’t understand sitting two parties of two right next to each other…I would have asked for another table but both parties didn’t seem to mind. Overall, delicious dinner, nice atmosphere and would recommend, be prepared to pay, it is pricey but worth it.
Food 7/10 Vibes 10/10 Service 10/10 Came with a group of friends. The vibe and service was really great. The espresso martini was good. I also ordered an amaretto sour it was really good too! I got the spicy rigatoni and the flavor was really good. But my paste was under cooked which was very disappointing. It was chewy and not edible. But I will say the server was very nice and took care of that for us. Overall it was a decent place to eat at!
The food was pretty good but over priced by a good bit. Service was very slow. It was very hot in the main dining area and very cramped. The table was big enough but our chairs were almost touching the next table's chairs even when pushed in.
We arrived around 7pm, we were told they were running around 15 ninutes behind, they told us we could sit at the bar area or at their wine bar next door. We tried Volario's bar first, not enough seating, we went next door where there was 1 bartender behind the bar, also ok, but took a bit to get drinks. At 7:15, we checked back and at first they said they didn't see the reservation but they'd put us down? 7:20 or 7:25, we were seated. The waiter commented that "everyone puts in reservations at 7"... shouldn't there be a system for that? To prevent backing up reservations? Ah, we also were seated in the bar area, not the actual restaurant. All the staff was friendly, but the waiter said, "oh good you have drinks (from the wine bar), that makes it easy", when we finished our drinks they had already taken all the menus, didn't offer any more drinks/water for roughly 45min while we waited for food, or even after we got our food. Had to flag down staff for the bill. Just a bummer. Pizza was solid, at least. TLDR; Staff was friendly but lacked attentiveness, food was decent, don't count on reservations working out.
We made a reservation for 8 pm. Do not do that. The table was cramped and very noisy. Out of the 5 plates on the menu, 3 were unavailable. Lemonade was unavailable. Salmon was out. Really? Service was not good. Food was decent but reheated.
Horrible experience. Since my last review got taken down somehow. Our server came to our table maybe twice the whole night. We order our entrees and they came out an hour later. The manager lady didn’t do anything when we complained about the service. Frankly there was no excuse for this service. All of the tables in our room basically had their food or got it soon after we sat down. The food was a good 7.5/10 but that’s the only positive thing I can say. We went here on Friday (2/27).
Our service was very inconsistent. We ordered two appetizers and only received one, however, when the bill came we were charged for it. When our entrees were brought out, my pasta dish had a hair in it… the waitress was pleasant about it and apologized and took it back to get me a new one. She came back with a fresh one rather quickly and stated that one of the staff members said they’d take it because they didn’t care that their was a hair in it… it felt really odd to us and we didn’t receive any kind of discount or comp for this which was also displeasing. Additionally, if you are ordering any liquor on the rocks you will be charged $3 for a “small rocks” fee, even though it’s the same ice in the drinking water. The explanation we were given was that they do a heavier pour than the standard 2 ounce and so that’s how they ring it in. We were excited to dime heat because we heard wonderful things but left feeling very disappointed.
Unfortunately we didn’t eat because the server decided to focus on a table that was seated 15 minutes after we were seated. We could tell that she was going to focus on them instead of spreading her focus and decided to cut our losses and leave. There were only 2 tables at that early time.
