The little cousin of the The Village Pub down the street. It costs a fair bit less, while the cooking is nearly just as good! We came for the Valentine's day set couse. The ambiance is quite intimate and cozy even out back under the awning, and rather I would recommend outside over inside. The service was of course well attentive in checking on us. The food was overall quite excellent. The deserts especially were more satisfying than what I've had at the Village Pub. One critique I would have is the dungeness crab soup was lacking a bit of depth of flavor, but that did not detract much from the overall meal. We also stopped by a few weeks later for pastries and ended up getting a salad too. The ceaser salad with fried chick was an excellent combo that I will be ordering again in the future.

We just had dinner at the restaurant tonight, and man.... What a treat! From the moment we were greeted, the staff was so kind... Super friendly, very happy ... it's obvious they love working here! Our server Miguel was phenomenal! He truly went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was exceptional... And exceptional, it was! We started out with drinks and apps.. the calamari was a HUGE hit .. so crunchy, delicious and the calabrian dipping sauce was the perfect compliment. We ordered all 4 bread options, and they too were spectacular! We hail from the Napa Valley (and in the wine industry), so we brought a bottle of wine, and had the best interaction with their in-house somm, Meagan! She was fun to chat with, and she definitely enhanced our experience. (Of course we are super wine geeks and love talking wine 🍷🍷🍷) 🎉 The Fried Chicken, Hamburger, and the Bucatini and Meatballs were superb! The seasoning on everything was perfect, and each cooked to perfection and served piping hot. All-in-all, a very memorable experience, and we're excited to go back and try their brunch!

The food was great—creative, flavorful, and absolutely delicious! You can really tell there was a lot of thought put into each dish, from the ingredients to the presentation.

Amazing little spot in the mountains where you can find some dank dark brews, bomb salads and fire burgers. Totally a nice hideaway in the hills. I had the burger and Cesar salad and everything was delicious and fresh. Super tasty burger

They always make the best drinks. I ride on weekends and from time to time stop in for a latte and baked goods. One of the few bakery that offer a savory option. Their Cheddar and Chive pairs well with a cappuccino but today I got the matcha latte which was expertly made. The staff while young really do service and communicate with each other so orders don’t get mixed up. Professionals!!

The perfect spot for breakfast, brunch, coffee, pastry, lunch you name it. The food quality and flavor is amazing. They carry the pastry shop’s menu too. Kids menu available. The service is outstanding and very accommodating. Dogs are allowed in the patio! We ordered the thick cut French toast, baked eggs, French sandwiches. All delicious. The parking can be stressful around the area.

Moving to the SF Bay area Peninsula has not been great for vegetarian/vegan meals. The Village Bakery proved to be an exception. When I saw the "Roasted Cauliflower" main, I have to admit I thought to myself,"Not again." I've had some version of this dish many times. However, this was the best I've ever had. The roasted pistachio I got with my first bite surprised me in the best way. Very unusual sauce which is a masterpiece. Super delicious and perfectly prepared. This place is excellent. The beet salad I started with was incredible not to mention the dinner rolls baked here. Add the excellent drink menu and you've got a very fine establishment.

Such a charming spot with amazing food and great vibes! We came for brunch and absolutely loved it. The pineapple mimosa was refreshing and delicious. We had the Croque Monsieur (or rather, the Madame style since we added a perfectly poached egg on top!). It was rich, flavorful, and perfect for sharing. The coffee was also excellent, making for a perfect start to the day. The service was wonderful, Carlos took great care of us, and the whole staff was incredibly kind. Loved that an owner came by to check in on guests, which added a warm, personal touch. The outdoor patio is a unique mix of cozy and open, it feels enclosed with the roof overhead, yet still has that fresh-air charm. With the fireplace, candles, and comfy couch-like seating, I bet this place is incredibly romantic in the evening. Can’t wait to come back for dinner! Highly recommend!

I stopped by Village Bakery in Woodside for a quick coffee break and ordered a cappuccino along with their Morning Glory bread. The cappuccino was smooth and perfectly brewed, making for a delightful pick-me-up. The Morning Glory bread was moist, packed with flavor, and had a nice balance of sweetness and spices—perfect for a light snack. The cozy ambiance and friendly service made it a great spot for a quick stop. I would definitely come again!

This was our go-to place after a morning hike with our dog. We like to sit on their patio. The service is friendly and efficient. It’s a busy place but the servers are not harried or rushed. Always congenial. We like their burgers, salads, and their egg offerings. My husband had a burger with fries. We invited a friend to join us. She too enjoyed her eggs Benedict. I tried their Caesar salad with properly cooked salmon. Everything was great. My only lament is that their serving of fish is so small. For an extra $18, I expect better. Other restaurants charge less and serve double this size. And they cook it well too.

Food quality is above average same as price. They require 20% tips up front and plus a small percentage as mandate fee. Service it’s good. Back patio seating area it’s warm and comfortable as well. Great place for a lunch getaway.

Great restaurant in Woodside. Nice outdoor seating, great wine list, consistently good food. I’ve eaten here several times and it’s always been a lovely experience. The Caesar Salad is huge- we split it and I still couldn’t finish it. It was a bit generous on the dressing. Two of us had the salmon which was perfect. Two of us tried the lasagna which was a new menu item and they were having issues with it - it came out cold, and they did reheat it but because it was a huge slice, it was still not very hot in the middle. Despite that the flavor was delicious- they need to get the kinks out of that one. They brought us a plate of fries to tie us over which was very nice. The desserts were delicious- the peach pie had a flaky crust, fresh peaches and wasn’t too sweet. The chocolate chip cookie was worth getting too full for. And the dark chocolate cake was rich and moist. The wait staff was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive.

A solid, reliable spot that does what it does reasonably well. The food is serviceable but unremarkable—perfectly fine, just nothing that really stands out or lingers in memory. Service is much the same: competent, pleasant enough, but not especially attentive or memorable. Parking can also be a bit frustrating, especially at busy times. That said, we keep coming back for one simple reason: it’s a convenient halfway point between the North Bay and South Bay. The relaxed, laid-back atmosphere makes it easy to settle in and have long, unhurried conversations with friends you don’t see often—and in that role, it works quite well. Bottom line: Not a destination restaurant, but a comfortable, dependable meeting place with a mellow vibe. Three stars feels about right.

GOOD LUCK FINDING PARKING. Came here for the viral giant marshmallow from TikTok. Ordered a hot chocolate to go with it, as well as a ham and cheese croissant. The hot chocolate was not good. It tasted extremely watered down and the marshmallow was just that—a giant marshmallow that wasn't anything special because of the terrible hot chocolate. I didn't finish it. The ham and cheese croissant had close to no cheese inside and just one piece of thicker cut ham. I liked the ham but my cheese? Nowhere to be found! The croissant itself was buttery and flaky in the best way, but I was surprised to find that the cheese inside was just a tiny piece, hardened to the point that no amount of reheating could revive it. Not to mention their ordering system between food and drinks is completely unorganized. You'll get your drink first and then you don't know when you'll get your food and which area you'll receive it in. Service could have been a bit friendlier too. Don't come here

4:49pm - I placed an order via ToastTab, and received notice that it’d be ready by 5:19pm. 5:09pm - I arrived, checked in with the (very kind) hostess who said it would be ready in just 10 more minutes - which was fine, this timing aligned with app timing. 5:45pm - I looked up from my phone and realized there was food sitting behind the hostess, so I asked if it was mine. She confirmed it was and handed it to me. The pizza was cold. I walked out, took a pause and walked back in, expressed feeling upset to have spent that much money for it to be so late AND cold. The hostess offered to have another pizza made, but I needed to get home - plus I didn’t want to risk having to wait an additional hour for something else while the food that was already ready got even colder. Argh. So… $100 for a tiny salad with chicken, a small soup, and a small pizza, all delivered cold and late. See the pics included for what I received. 😒 I’m disappointed that what I’d heard was such a nice establishment with (very expensive), supposedly high quality food delivered SO POORLY. Ugh.

We ordered the matcha latte, hot chocolate, mocha and chai tea latte. The matcha was undrinkable. When we asked the barista about the match they stated “Our matcha is always really bitter.” The hot chocolate was literally hot milk with chocolate seasoning, it was awful. The other drinks were average at best. We binned the matcha and hot coco. The gluten lemon poppy seed loaf slice was tasty as well as the chocolate chip cookie. Don’t come for the drinks. Pastries will do.

Ordered the $21 Eggs Florentine, which arrived as two hard boiled eggs with spinach atop a small, thin, soggy slice of bland white bread. Disappointing. Presentation on the fruit bowl and granola was poor. $14 granola arrived on a consommé plate full of plain granola, with self-assembly required (milk on the side). On the bright side, our waiter was friendly and the atmosphere was cozy.

I stopped by The Village Bakery and Cafe in Woodside for a to-go order and was shocked by the prices. I ordered a Bakery Burger ($24), a Mushroom Pizza ($28), and Fried Chicken with coleslaw ($27) — that’s $79 before tax. The surprise? They automatically added a 20% tip to my bill — for a to-go order. I added a $5 tip in the process of paying, unaware they’d already tacked on gratuity. That brought the total to $104, not including a $19 Moscow Mule plus tip I ordered while I waited. Absurd. Let’s talk food: - The burger “experience” was a letdown — dry and with a texture that felt more like a hockey puck than a juicy, freshly grilled patty. This is something you’d expect at a bad airport lounge, not a so-called upscale bakery café, especially when you’re paying $24 plus a surprise 20% gratuity. - The pizza looks good, but by the time I got home it tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp. Good but not great for the price. - The fried chicken was the worst — just two tiny breaded pieces full of fat and a cup of salad… That’s $27 + 20% tip for something that wouldn’t pass for diner food. We’re talking about a basic chicken dish here, not a Chicken Cordon Bleu. The waitstaff was polite, and the setting looks charming — but I won’t be returning. For those prices, the food should be stellar, not forgettable. I think this place confuses overpriced for upscale. Charging fine dining prices for average takeout? No thanks. And sneaking in a 20% tip baked into the bill on a takeout order? That’s a no-go. That’s just bad business. If you want to charge more, be upfront about it — don’t guilt customers into double tipping. Advice: Pay your staff better wages, so you don’t have to pass that burden onto guests.
