Real 80s modern vibe with amazing Asian delicacies I'm split between my 2 cocktail for which is best the Cilantro cucumber cooler or the tiramisù espresso martini The starter was amazing except it needed more lettuce and bigger leaves and a bit more kimchi The crispy fish was amazing. The salsa was fresh and vibrant and the fish was crispy and juicy with a fish sauce dressing adding a nice Thai influence We ordered the steak as well but we're too full to really enjoy it but it looked amazing (edit. We had it cold the next day and wow what a treat I was honestly surprised to was still so good) We had 2 deserts the toasted rice ice cream and the raw lime pie. The ice cream was sweet and creamy and delicious and the pie we took to go (edit. The pie is divine and should not be skipped) Also impeccabile Service 10/10

We were so happy the amazing folks behind Silvia added another great restaurant in Woodstock! We have an amazing time everytime we come to Good Night (you could say the place is aptly named). The food and drinks are amazing, and the service outstanding. A few of our favorites are the shrimp and shishito starter, the fried oyster mushrooms, the five spice duck, the pork, and the monkfish, but my wife always says she just wants to order one of everything and I absolutely agree (even if my wallet doesn’t). Highly highly recommend.

My wife and I as well as our friends and family have dined at Good Night many times and I've yet to leave a proper review. This restaurant is one of my favorite places to sit, eat, laugh and get treated well...ever. Every facet of the experience of being at Good Night is so well thought out, with what seems like a true appreciation and care for their customers. Every aspect is a pleasant one. From the moment you walk into the space you are instantly transported into another world. The elegance of the decor, the lighting, the music all encourages relaxation and enjoyment. This place was established to make people feel good. And once you've taken in the physical surroundings you will find yourself greeted warmly by the front of house staff. It doesn't matter who is working the night you arrive as each host, bartender and server are all working in concert for their customers pleasure. It both feels like you are in the comfort of your own home and a luxurious food spa at the same time. Now to the main course...the food. The menu is set up perfectly to share or not, you can feast the whole night and as their ingredients are fresh and clean and obviously cooked with inspiration and love...you somehow feel lighter than when you arrived. Nourished in the most healthy and complete way without feeling over indulged. Everything about Good Night is exquisite, from the people, the environment and most definitely the food.

The vibes and decor are perfection. The food was a blessing of joy to eat in these dark times. It’s so good it’s makes your day. We ordered take out and somehow they made everything be able to travel well and taste just as good as when you order it in person when I got home. The whole snapper and monk fish are ridiculously great - still thinking about them. We loved the dumplings too!

This place is amazing. My wife and I had a phenomenal meal here. The food was delicious and interesting, the service was fantastic, and the vibe and ambiance inside the restaurant was really special. Our server, the front of house, the bartenders, all of them were really awesome and great hosts. The carpaccio and chicken are not to be missed, but everything was a hit. Just a well curated menu all around. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a special dinner experience.

Good Night was recommended to us after by a local. We switched our reservation and are so glad we did! My partner and I were in the mood for a sexy evening to celebrate our recent engagement, and Good Night's ambiance set the mood. The food was amazing, from appetizers to desserts. The Crispy Shrimp & Shishito are not to be missed. The only thing I would not order again is the clams, I found the milky mignonette to be an odd pairing for the clams. However, still fresh and delicious with a squirt of lime. I tried a few cocktails, my favorite was the Cilantro Pina Cooler. My partner loved the Tamarind Margarita. Highly recommend!

The food was so good! They were super accommodating to my food allergy and made sure I had plenty of options even though I couldn’t have most of the menu. Our waitress was so sweet and offered us a dessert shot for our bridal party that was so delicious!

We had an outstanding meal last night for our anniversary. This was a new restaurant for us, as we have our set few when visiting from NJ. The duck app was a standout for me, literally tasted like Peking Duck. Im guessing that was the take on it. My seafood curry (green as it should be for seafood) was AMAZING and packed with delicious fresh seafood. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her dishes as well. The vegetarian apps were delicious as well, my wife is vegetarian. Nice to have options for all. Outstanding!!! Cannot wait to go back!! Oh and we were wished a happy anniversary many times!!!

I loved this restaurant.visiting Woodstock for weekend. I’ve been to a lot of restaurants and this is a gem. I had the Korean meat dish and it was fabulous. The night before I went to an Italian restaurant in Woodstock and it was terrible. So happy I found this place.

We keep going back to Good Nite in Woodstock because it’s just that good. Deliciously decadent pasta and clams, perfectly crisp panko chicken katsu, and impeccable service. The staff moves with such efficiency it feels like an orchestra, every part working together without missing a beat. Old Hollywood meets the Catskills. Guaranteed vibes. Make the res.

Wonderful Asian cuisine. Sophia was a superb server. This restaurant is from the same folks that own Sylvia’s. These two are all you need to dine really well in Woodstock.

A wonderful place to spend some time enjoying food/drink in a beautiful Asian influenced environment. The interior dining space excels, but if the weather permits then dining outside surrounded by their asian-esque landscaping and garden is highly recommended.

We had a very pleasant evening at this restaurant. I didn't expect this quality of food and service in such a small village. Food was exceptionally well prepared and typical of different asian countries like India, Thailand, Laos. We had the naans, walnut larb, tempura fish, grilled pork and cauliflower as a side (we were very hungry after a hike lol). Everything was delicious, tasty, generous sizes, well presented. Service was courteous and professional. We were a little bit disappointed by the drinks that were good but not wow. Place is beautiful and has a mix of "chic" yet warm atmosphere, with the glass bar. Not cheap but worth the money IMO. Would go again

Felt like I was in Brooklyn. Very cool vibe, scene, people watching, decor. Food was flavorful and surprisingly generous in their portion size. Loved the bean curd and veg dish. Flavors of the cauliflower side were spot on. Could’ve used a more meatier mushroom for the fried mushrooms (felt like the oyster mushroom got lost a bit in all the breading). And my ginger hot toddy hit the spot. Could’ve used more ginger flavoring but that’s just my taste buds talking. Loved this place and will be back.

BEST FOOD I've had in a long time. Every dish was amazing! I had the dumplings, the calamari, and corn fritters for app! I loved all of it. For Entrees we had the pan crusted chicken, the steak and the linguini and clams... I dont even like Linguini and clams and I almost licked the plate it was THAT good! Service was beyond amazing. Had my fur baby with me and they have the nicest outdoor seating where dogs are welcomed. They bought my dog a huge bowl of water. The wines were phenomenal. Had thr Orange wine, a delicious cocktail and the cremant. I

We had a really great dinner at Good Night! We did overall prefer Silvia (their sister restaurant) but really loved Good Night as well. The standout was definitely the whole fish which was seasoned with Szechuan chili oil, but just the right amount and the fish was cooked perfectly. The caesar salad was also great. The atmosphere is also 10/10. I would definitely put this in the rotation if you are looking for a cool place to eat in Woodstock!

A true Gem in the Catskills. Delicious food, drinks, even dessert was unexpectedly terrific. We drove 2 hours and stayed the night just to eat here. We'll be back!!

Decide to try Good Night for the first time today and it was great!! Staff couldn't have been nicer, and the food was delicious. Happy I stopped in and would highly recommend!

We've been here twice and both times were wonderful experiences. Our most recent visit was especially great. Our waiter was outstanding (wish I remembered his name - deep voice with long hair). He was so attentive and engaging without being overbearing and when our food was a bit delayed he offered a round of drinks unprompted. That will always make me think well of a restaurant. The food is outstanding. It's unique and extremely high quality. We're excited to come back again in the warm weather to sit outside by the creek.

Thank you to all the staff at Good Night who went out of their way to accommodate a cranky middle-aged lady who has annoying food sensitivities and a bad back. This was the polar opposite of the experience I had at Pretty To Think So in Rhinebeck last summer (for anyone making the rounds). That was so bad, I have to bring it up even here. So at Good Night on a Saturday at 8:15, our party was seated outside at a corner table that was too small for six people with a slatted wooden bench and actual 1980s school chairs. This is the only area they loose a star. This seating situation is beneath you, Good Night. The server was incredibly understanding and offered us solutions to our (my) seating problem as well as providing me with a menu marked up with which items were already free from or could be modified to be free from onion and garlic. When we were moved to our new table, it was much more comfortable and our new server was fully up to speed on my issues. Even the person who brought out the appetizers knew that I was "allium free." Impressive! The chickpea tofu was great! The bibimbap was great! My friends said the shrimp and shishito peppers and the croquettes were great. I don't know what else they ate but the birthday banana ice cream with caramel and crispy rice was also great. One of the managers came by and offered to take our group photo and when we told her that someone in our party was not at the table at the moment, another staff member made sure to come back later to take a photo! One other nice touch was how we were given new silverware after our appetizers and they took such care in placing the chopsticks artfully across the fork and spoon so that they would not roll away. Seriously, great experience, you saved me from ruining everyone's night with my crankiness! Thank you!

Has only been open for 6 months, but the professional attitude of the staff was beyond compare. Knowledgeable staff will guide you every step of the way. Tried so many new wines, I'm exhausted. Truly a wonderful experience not to be missed.

Okay listen up all....this place is absolutely fantastic in everyway and yes it's in Woodstock NY. Chef/Owner Doris is creating and putting out some of the BEST Asian-Fusion food I have ever had....period!! A must go too. The blend of flavors are incredible and it's amazing how well they all work together. The place has a great vibe and very hip look. Lindsay who runs the front was wonderful and was always involved with your dining experience. Our waitress Bella was incredible and took us on a culinary adventure. Junior, who was the back waiter, was also very present and caring. A rarity to find a restaurant with a full staff of high quality caring employees. Everyone check this place out you will not be disappointed.

Sat at the bar and got exceptional service from Billy as usual. We had crepe to split, then the lemongrass chicken and strip steak. Outstanding meal - this place has been excellent since the menu revamp 6 months or so ago - probably the best food in Woodstock. 1 appetizer, 2 entrees and 2 drinks was $120 before tip, so expensive but par for the course in Woodstock these days, and because of the quality of the food and service I'd say good value for the money. Genuinely a good night - we'll be back again and again!

Incredible food, ambiance, service, cocktails… the whole package. You will have a very memorable meal here especially if you have Ana wait on you. I really was blown away with the whole experience. What a gem of a restaurant

Tried Silvia’s sister restaurant in Woodstock and was pleasantly surprised it was as awesome from ambience to appetizer, main courses and dessert! The music vibe and decor were great. Service at the bar did not disappoint! Loved the whole fried Bass and dessert! Will definitely be back. 😋

Our meal at Good Night was excellent! We made reservations late so opted for lunner and we were impressed with how busy the place got before 6PM on a Saturday. We ordered the banh mi pate, grilled oysters, grilled hamachi collar, black cod a la nage, and ube mochi donut dessert. Everything was so so good. For drinks, I ordered the citrus almond julius, but everything on the menu looked great.

Beautiful place. Amazing food. Generous portion. Excellent service. Great cocktails and wine selection. Crispy shrimp and shishito is a must have! Update: 6.11.2023: Been coming here since they opened. Food, drinks, service, and atmosphere are still all excellent. Quality is very consistent. That’s something you don’t see often these days. However, I really wished they would take their desserts up a notch.

We were pleasantly surprised with this Asian restaurant. The food was excellent! Among the dishes we tried, thai soup and duck were my favorite. The soup portion was enough to split between two people as an appetizer. We also ordered shrimp and shishito peppers which felt quite heavy for my taste. After splitting the three dishes the two of us couldn’t find the place for dessert. Our waiter was vey attentive. The music was perfect and the atmosphere was relaxing.

Might be my new favorite spot in Woodstock. Been here twice so we've tried all kinds of dishes — first time was great, second time a bit less but still good. The overall gastronomy level here is really high. I feel like they don't need to work as hard as in NYC to stay afloat but they still deliver top notch food. I respect that a lot. The place looks like something you'd find in a Greenpoint or a Williamsburg hotel; French brasserie vibe with art deco accents, bronze, round plush couches, dimmed light. Coming from NYC, I appreciate how true they stay to Asian dishes... for the most part. Grilled oyster appetizer — big shells but they're more of a cooked seafood salad which you might not expect. These aren't rockafellar style that I was thinking about. Pate is... pate. Nothing stands out about it although five spice flavor is definitely cute. Black cod with clams is the best dish, charred, decadent, the sauce is just right. Lamb isn't quite as soft as if they sous vide'd it but is still very good and the char on that fat plus the fresh relish go hand in hand. Scallop congee is excellent, with an egg and chili oil and scallops that melt in your mouth. Shrimps with peppers are to die for. I wonder if they're coated them in cereal? Whatever it is, it's brilliant. Korean chicken is delicious but half of it being white meat kinda ruins it (it is "half a chicken" after all). The fried crispy fish leaves me wanting some sauce to dip it into, those fresh veggies sprinkled on top are not enough. "Scallion"-like pancake is good but nothing to write home about. Crispy noodles with mushrooms — love the use of pea shoots but it doesn't quite come together; would rather have regular noodz. The worst part is their sago dessert with consistency that's way too solid and is entirely off from what it should be. Thankfully, the ube one is great with little mochi balls that make for the perfect contrast to the ice cream. Special shoutout to their cocktails that are strong and creative. I would say this is a must when in Woodstock and I can’t wait to be back.

Dinner at Good Night was fabulous. We started with the fried oyster mushrooms which was perfectly crisp and very filling. The yuzu aioli was the perfect pair for the crunchy appetizer. We also had the shrimp appetizer which was good as well but the mushrooms were definitely better. For dinner we had the Korean fried chicken, which was a special available on Thursdays. I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor, the perfect crisp, and the amount of chicken available. It could easily feed 2-3 adults for $42 it’s a steal! We got a side of green beans which was a little on the salty side but till not bad. For dessert we had the Toasted Rice Ice Cream banana caramel, toasted rice powder, thai basil and it was FABULOUS highly recommended. It was on the top of the list for me with the fried mushrooms and the fried chicken. The service was attentive, polite, and informative. The ambiance was lively but still not too loud to hold a conversation.

Awesome, awesome, awesome food and atmosphere! If you’re in/near Woodstock, I would highly recommend Good Night. My wife and I had a variety of drinks and food and it was all delicious with unique (to me) takes on some food. Mignonette for the oysters was super unique and tasty and none like I’ve had before with a Thai flavor. The pork entree was not the greatest dish I’ve ever had (a little dry), but still pretty good. The beef carpaccio, lamb bao buns, naan, and oysters were all great. Our waitress was awesome, super friendly and helpful with the menu. The design of the restaurant is also very cool and chic and comfortable, great vibe. Also an outdoor patio that appeared to be dog friendly which is always a plus!

We were out exploring Woodstock on a gorgeous day. We took advantage of the opportunity to dine outside at Good Night on their patio (with our well behaved doggy). Such a beautiful space inside and out. The service was incredible and very attentive - thank you to the staff. To our luck, it happened to be 1/2 off oyster night! They were delicious! We also ordered the 5 spice duck breast which was out of this world. The filet mignon carpaccio was good and presented beautifully, perhaps a touch too salty for me. Every cocktail we ordered was so satisfying. We look forward to dining here again with friends and family.

I love this restaurant. Every time I’ve come, I’ve been super impressed with the food and the cocktails (the spicy pomegranate margarita!). It’s such a beautiful setting, inside with the velvet banquettes inside or the big covered patio outside. I finally needed to write a review because we had Aristotle as our server yesterday and he was so lovely that it had to be called out - considerate, attentive, professional, and just giving off major good vibes. I need to go more often ….

stopped by the bar for drinks & ordered takeout. i’ve tried lots of fancy cocktails and - no exaggeration - these were the best drinks i’d ever had in my life. the takeout food was beautiful, SPICY but absolutely delicious and original. the desserts were an 11/10. cannot recommend this place enough and am sooooo looking forward to our next visit where we will definitely be dining in their beautiful space!! one of the prettiest restaurants in woodstock for sure.

We really enjoyed it! The food was very good and the portions were generous. The tequila drinks were great although a couple of the gin drinks tasted watered down.

Cute elegant Asian fusion restaurant. Friendly staff and quick service. Dishes will wake up your taste buds with spices and herb combos like cilantro and mint on their steak. Ginger and garlic notes on their trout entree. Romantic and calming ambience. I will definitely return on my next Upstate getaway.

Just went for the first time last night for a date with my partner and had a lovely time! We made a rez but probably didn’t really need to as we got there right when they opened. The atmosphere is divine, just ideal lighting - the kind that makes you look more attractive than you are. We had a great server (shout out to Dave - hay) and felt very well taken care of the entire evening. We had great cocktails (the Tamarind Margarita, I’ve coined to be the Tamarita, is a must) and delicious food with delightful Asian flavors. Our favorites were the papaya salad and the beef stir fry. Really looking forward to coming back and trying more of the food! Definitely recommend.

Fantastic! If you are in Woodstock and like refined service, dishes that taste amazing, and a beautiful relaxing atmosphere, this is the place. We had the paté, the scallops ceviche, and the whole fried fish. All so tasteful, asian touch, tangy flavors, cooked right. Cocktails and mock-tails are amazing too. Best of all, food quantities were real, filling you in, and all priced well for what I thought was great value for the quality, space and good service. Loved it!

We recently relocated from Manhattan to become full-time residents, and we were eagerly anticipating an evening at Good Night. Then a show at The Colony next door. To our delight, everything exceeded our expectations. The warm welcome, detailed menu explanation, and insights into the restaurant's history made us feel truly comfortable. Our server's knowledge of each dish added to the experience, and, needless to say, the food's exceptional quality and flavors were truly spectacular.

I came here for dinner on my birthday with my husband and teen daughter. We had heard great reviews from the locals and were not disappointed. Service was great. The appetizers stole the show - we started with the mussels and shrimp with shishito peppers. For our mains, we had the Korean BBQ beef (large enough to feed the family), steak frites and trout. Everything came out perfect! I really enjoyed the vibe here and would definitely return, even to just have a drink at the bar.

Ate at Good night for the first time and would highly recommend it if you like Asian inspired foods. We had Shan Tofu, the Mussels, pasta and Trout. The stars were the tofu and mussels. It’s not easy to say great things about appetizers like tofu and mussels, but let me say the follow. The tofu was made with garbanzo beans instead of soybeans. This makes a huge difference in taste and texture. The mussels were cooked in a yellow curry sauce. If you like a curry that’s got a great taste and isn’t too expensive, this is your dish. Want to try something wonderful? Did the tofu into the mussels curry. Yum!

She had amazing recommendations and the food was delicious. We ordered the ribs, the steak with the most amazing French fries, and the Korean bbq beef lettuce wraps. Really great experience here! We had waited a while to come here because it is somewhat expensive but find it to be quite worth it. The appetizers are the way to go! We got the ribs, shrimp/shishito, and tteok-bokki. All were delicious and novel takes. Portions are a great size, unexpectedly so! We were full after 3 appetizers between two people. Got the trout to share as a main and loved it. Very light and flavorful. The service is fantastic - nice people. The ambience is quite nice. The music is reasonable and relaxed while the lighting makes for a good date spot. We are excited to come back.

My wife and I would often come up to Woodstock from Brooklyn to see friends. And on a couple of occasions I saw goodnight from the outside which looks cozy and always a steady stream of people. So we decided to stop by goodnight on one of our visits. It did not disappoint! We sat at the bar next to another married couple. Unbeknownst to us the husband was making two rings out of dollar bills. And gave it to us . It was a kind gesture . The ambiance is really classy and natural. We enjoyed our drinks and the staff was great. It also happened to be our first date anniversary.

Lovely spontaneous visit, initially intended for a drink or two, turned out instead for dinner. Back to the bar, the mixologist looks and sounds like Jason Bateman, and he sure knows his cocktails and how to make them right. The tamarind margarita was a great opener to what became a full on dinner. The crispy shrimps and the steak with chimichuri sauce were simply delightful. No doubt the dining room was decently busy on a quiet Tuesday evening. And it got recommended to me by a nearby store keeper…

The service was fantastic from start to finish. We had a reservation and were seated in less than five minutes. Our waitress was so sweet, attentive, and full of great recommendations. We ended up sharing everything family-style and I’m so glad we did. For starters, we tried three appetizers—crispy tofu, shrimp, and the corn fritters. All were amazing, but the corn fritters were the star of the show and had everyone at the table raving. For mains, we split the noodles, lemongrass chicken, and a Korean beef dish with lettuce wraps. The chicken stood out as the favorite with its incredible sauces, but honestly, every dish was delicious. The drinks were just as memorable. A few of us had cocktails and wine—I ordered the spicy passionfruit margarita, which was perfectly balanced and so flavorful. This is one of those restaurants where everything just clicks: the food, the service, the ambiance. An absolute must-visit, and I’d come back in a heartbeat.

Good night is a beautiful restaurant, with friendly service, creative cocktails, a great wine list and, most importantly, really good food! I appreciate the fact that they always have a few vegan options and a frequently changing menu. It also has a large bar area, which is nice for solo diners or those just grabbing a small bite or a drink. It is on the pricier side, but portions are big - in fact, I’d suggest maybe sharing apps, not ordering individual ones and I’d say it’s worth the higher price.

The food was VERY good and I particularly enjoyed the duck breast and the cocktails. Their bar program is OUTSTANDING! All of the cocktails that I enjoyed were exceptionally well balanced.

My lemon ginger chicken was amazing! We will be back for that. My husband’s pork was good, nothing extraordinary. I’m very disappointed in my $21 glass of Chardonnay. The wine was good, but it was about 5 ounce pour at best. For $21 should have been a good pour!! Waitstaff and hostess were very kind and helpful.

Good Night is one of our favorite restaurants in the area. The ambience is great. Open and inviting. All the servers including hosts are top-notch. They are attentive and their personalities add to the cool vibes. The food is incredibly delicious. Highly recommend the shrimp and shishito peppers appetizer. We had fresh oysters and they were deliciously prepared. We sat on the patio for the first time and it was just lovely. Great spot to hit up when you’re visiting Woodstock.

The appetizers were tasty and the ambiance was amazing! I loved how bright but moody the whole restaurant felt. Our main dishes were a bit disappointing and could have been a bit more flavorful for the price point. Overall, a fun dinner :)

This is an absolutely beautiful space. Service was excellent. Drinks were excellent. The food however, we thought was underwhelming. We dined here on my birthday and everything we ordered seemed to require a sauce of some sort since it was just dry? Perhaps we should have tried other things on the menu. Willing to return again.

We came for a Valentine's evening out on the 15th, much calmer than the 14th! The grilled oyster, scallop, squid, and crispy rice appetizer was tasty. We shared the 5 spice Duck Breast, with cucumber, pear, hoisin sauce and Asian pancake, (the combination of flavors in this dish was outstanding) and Vietnamese grilled Lamb with pickled daikon and carrots. The lamb was cooked perfectly but the pickled veg was jarring against the Thai seasoning of the lamb. Might just get Duck x2 next time :). It was a suddenly snowy evening so we passed on the libations for safety reasons. Overall a wonderful celebration in a beautiful space!

It was our first time in woodstock and we found this place on google but me and my family had no idea we need a reservation. So we ended up having just drinks. Loved the atmosphere and drinks. Cant review the food as we didnt eat there. But def make reservations if you are reading my review.

Cons: Food was very average at best, honestly. And this is coming from someone who lived in Asia for years. Huge portions though. Steak was cold and overcooked. Korean bbq inedible. Appetisers are better than entrees. Food lacked flavour. Very strange that it’s highly rated. But I guess its the only Asian cuisine in the area. Pros: Incredible mocktails. Service, interior and the outdoor garden were impeccable. The outdoor terrace is beautiful—highly recommend sitting there.

I went to Good Night with my husband and daughter. It was a hot summer evening and we sat inside and it was very well air conditioned. I was thinking that I should have brought a scarf tbh. The Interior was generally very pink. Pink chandeliers and pink velvet bench seating. We had a nice host and were immediately greeted by our server/bartender Dave. We ordered the Chicken dumplings as a starter and had some lovely cocktails. We thought the apple mezcal one was the best. Dipped Apple?? We had as the main the whole trout and Korean Beef BBQ x 2. The food was good and tasty, the nori was a tiny bit stale but this could be attributed to the trip from the kitchen to the table, it was a very humid night. In retrospect I would have appreciated a bit of direction in regards to the menu. My daughter and I could have easily shared a main and then had more room for random delicious veggies. That would have been ideal. But I get it, the customer decides . We also had a kind of lemony pie for dessert which I liked very well and a generously poured Fernet as apperatif, very nice!! The coffee was hot and available for after dinner. Dave was an excellent server, Zoe also visited our table and Angus too. Lovely and courteous staff.

Good Night is a hip entry into the Woodstock dining scene. Had the chance to go with a large group (12 people) and found it to be ideal for a large gathering with friends. The dining room featured large booths while the menu had a great mix of shareable dishes. While no one dish blew the group away, there were generally no complaints as each dish was a solid entry. I would certainly recommend Good Night for a group dining experience.

The aesthetic is tasteful, elegant but not at all stiff. The food was good and the portions generous but the noodles that came with my plate were cold and bland! The toasted rice ice cream was an absolute delight. It felt a bit overpriced (especially the wine!) but the service was prompt and polite without being overbearing - which I thoroughly appreciated.

UPDATE: Came here 2nd and 3rd time excited to bring my friends and try it, however, both times we were disappointed as the food were not worth the price. The grilled lemon grass chicken that I so loved the first visit did not taste the same. Concluded that food was not consistent, it was average and too pricey. So have not gone back. I did want to love this place, but unfortunately it won’t be the case. Been wanting to try them out as their menu has me interested. I had the fresh oysters which were fresh and the grilled lemon grass chicken—by far the best I’ve had so far in the hudson valley. Had the Thai 75 and Saturn cocktails which were great. The staff were very friendly and accomodating, very nice atmosphere, and I really loved that they allow pets at their patio. Will be coming back here!

The restaurant offers trendy Asian fusion cuisine, albeit on the pricey side, with rice being priced separately from the main dish. Surprisingly, most dishes are spicy, even if not indicated. This caught me off guard, especially since I brought an elderly guest who couldn't tolerate spice. It seems they use gochugaru powder in many dishes. I'd recommend they label spicy dishes with a chili logo 🌶️ to avoid surprising customers.

Appetizers better than entries. Hamachi was delicious (appetizer) but egg noodles and chicken were just okay. This place has a really nice ambience and wait staff but food has definitely gotten a bit worse.

I had a very nice experience at Good Night. The vibe of the restaurant is fantastic and the service was incredibly kind throughout the evening. While the food wasn’t consistently mind-blowing, the overall atmosphere would definitely bring me back. The Highlights: Pork Belly Kimchi Stew (Special): This was the star of the night. I was pleasantly surprised by how authentic it felt—it even came served in a traditional stone pot. Pork Ribs: Great! Super tender and packed with flavor. Chicken Dumplings: Good and definitely unique, though not necessarily "phenomenal." The Lows: Vietnamese Steak Frites: The fries were delicious, but the steak was a massive disappointment. Even though it was cooked rare exactly as I asked, it was shockingly chewy. It was a genuine struggle to get through, which was a letdown given how tender the ribs were. Ube Mochi: This was... interesting, to say the least. The ice cream had a gritty, dry texture that just didn't work for me. Our waitress was kind enough to give us a heads-up about it beforehand, which we really appreciated, but I wouldn't order it again. Overall: Even with the "interesting" dessert and the tough steak, the experience was a net positive. The hospitality and the vibe make it a great spot in Woodstock, and I’d return to see what else they have on the menu.

been twice. 1st time our waitress was phenomenal and accommodating, but the steak was mostly fat, near inedible. Still nice night. 2nd time we went, the waiter was repeatedly rather insulting regarding food allergies. Food was better (green beans were amazing) but the repeated insults really soured the evening and embarrassed my girlfriend.

We have dined at Goodnight several times and always happy but this last time pork chops were dry and chicken with panko was just ok. It's a pricey restaurant so food should be spot on every time. Service is always good but food is served super fast like they are trying to turn tables quickly.

Beautiful venue, great service. Unfortunately the food does not match the ambiance or price point. What I tasted was either overly sweet or just kind of bland with no spice. The mushroom noodle dish was particularly offensive — a plate of the type of dry noodles some Chinese restaurants used to give you for free topped with mushrooms. For $30 as a supposed entree. A big disappointment overall considering the cost.

This restaurant is hit or miss. Like another reviewer said, we’ve had a 5 star experience and a 1 star experience here. They need to work on their food consistency… possibly one of their chefs is new and isn’t trained appropriately. Our first time, the food and service were outstanding. The second time (tonight), the food was mediocre at best. The green seafood curry the first time was amazing - one of our favorite dishes and probably the best curry we’ve ever eaten. However, this time, it was overly citrusy and it seems they forgot to add any coconut milk at all. Probably the worst curry dish we have ever eaten and could definitely have had a better curry dish at the simple chain asian restaurant down the street. Similar experience with the zucchini and cauliflower side dishes - lacked flavor and not spiced appropriately the second time. On the plus side, the monkfish entree was tasty. As for the service, it’s typically top notch. We did have an awkward experience with one waiter tonight (Justin) so requested a new server. Justin had an attitude and was not welcoming. Our second server (Olivia) was outstanding. On the whole, it’s worth to try it once but you’ll be gambling based on the chef on the night you show up. I hope they’re able to resolve their issues with lack of food consistency. For that price, you expect perfection with outstanding food and service every time. Hoping it was just an off night.

Some Hits, Some Misses We recently tried Good Night in Woodstock and had a mixed experience. The ambiance was great, and the service was attentive and friendly, which we really appreciated. The drinks were also well-crafted and enjoyable. That said, the steak was a letdown. For being the highest price entree on their rather small menu- for $48, the portion was quite small, and it came out overcooked. The accompanying house fries were basic—nothing memorable—and the sauce served on the side tasted like plain mayo, lacking any real flavor. We also tried the linguine and clams, which was actually pretty good, but felt a bit out of place on a menu described as South Asian-inspired. It just didn’t tie into the theme or flavors we were expecting. Overall, the setting and drinks were lovely, but the food didn’t deliver for the price or the concept.

We were excited to return after a great experience last year — the ambiance, cocktails, and service are still top-notch. Unfortunately, the food was a major disappointment this time. The trout had a sour, almost numbing taste that I flagged to our waitress. The manager said she’d taste it herself, but clearly had no intention of doing so, as a busser promptly stacked other dishes on top of it. The chicken arrived covered in what I can only describe as a crust of salt — an actual layer of salt that glistened in the sun. Completely inedible. I mentioned this as well, but the only follow-up from the manager was a comment about the fish. Even the BBQ beef, which should have been a safe choice, was drowned in sauce. Maybe by that point I was too turned off to enjoy anything. It’s frustrating, because the setting is beautiful and the staff was attentive, but something is seriously off in the kitchen right now. I’ve even had to suggest my friends cancel their upcoming reservation — and that’s not something I say lightly. I don’t usually leave reviews, but the manager’s dismissiveness made it clear that feedback wasn’t being taken seriously — and that’s what pushed me to write this

Disappointing and Unsafe – Not Worth It I really wanted to like this place, but it was a complete letdown. The food is not authentic, not flavorful, and definitely not kid-friendly—nothing on the menu felt welcoming for families, and the dishes lacked any real taste or effort. The parking situation is downright dangerous. You have to park in a spot that forces you to walk directly on the street, which is incredibly unsafe. During our visit, my husband had to retrieve the car in the middle of a snowstorm, and as he pulled up, another car side-swiped us. Overall, this experience left a lot to be desired. Skip this place—there are far better options out there.

Went with a friend for valentine's day. First of all, the room is overlit, not inspiring. We ordered from the price fix menu. The fried mushrooms were greasy and inedible. The lobster tail was overcooked and hard. There were two bar tenders, one with a beard that was charming and one with a shaved face that was not charming at all. I've been hearing about this place for a while and can honestly say, not worth it! At one point a customer came in to pick up an order to go. She went to sit on a bar stool and fell. Not one member of the restaurant staff came to her. Instead it took a customer for the act of kindness. I don't usually leave reviews like this but....

I understand music is part of the Woodstock atmosphere, but having a family dinner with an extremely loud punk rock it's a bit too much in my opinion. The Miso Caesar was delicious. Unfortunately, the main courses we ordered were not good. The pork chop was like a jerky, very dry. Duck breast should be served medium rare but apparently, they serve medium/well in this place. Overall, disappointed

Vegetarian review: Those crispy noodles ain’t it. Only giving it one star because seriously, I didn’t like them. Loved the mushrooms, but thought the fact that I couldn’t add a vegetarian protein to a main OR a starter, and they had NO VEGETARIAN PROTEIN in any of the entrees…. is just bad menu writing. Coming from someone who frequents more expensive restaurants, being so resistant and unaccommodating with a customers request to add protein so as to “protect the composition of the dish”, especially at this mid-range price point, is ridiculous. Like, c’mon - would it kill you to just throw a couple blocks of tofu IN the dish??? Anyway, those crispy noodles should be replaced with rice. They’re too eggy and not a good take on the classic crispy takeout noodle. And they had no salt. (And yes, I get the concept of them relaxing into a noodle. Still would’ve wildly preferred crispy rice) Their veg was great, their sauces were great, but even at Michelin star restaurants they always prioritize any requests given. The point of a mid-high range restaurant restaurant experience is to have a good time. If you can’t facilitate that for a customer what are you doing. And my elder parents wanted to note that the school-chairs outside are wildly uncomfortable. Put a padding on the back.

Come here if you want to be disappointed by overly priced fake Asian food. Did not come with high expectations but I’m sorry you can’t charge $30 for dry duck breast and mansplain to an Asian customer that this Peking duck fusion esque dish was a “sandwich”. The server was also judgemental and made us all uncomfortable which did not make us want to order more food. Glad we didn’t because it was so mid and the portions were so tiny for the price. If you want a good night, stick to what this area can do which is not asian food.

My boyfriend and I went here for New Years Eve dinner 2025 this week which was a pre fix menu. As soon as we were seated it took at least 10 minutes for the waiter to take our order which was disappointing but the least of my concern that evening. When we placed our order, we mentioned that my boyfriend was allergic to seafood. My bf couldn’t eat anything for his second course since all 3 choices contained seafood and the third choice was a pork belly bun but it was marinated in fish sauce which was NOT mentioned on the menu. Fortunately, the waiter mentioned that to us because he would’ve had a bad reaction. He said the chef wasn’t able to remove it from the dish and my bf wasn’t able to enjoy any dish from the second course. We waited a long time for our food to be served and the waiter had apologized for the delay and additionally, he said the kitchen ran out of couscous for the main dish with filet mignon and they would replace it with wild rice. I didn’t mind that but the list of things kept adding up. We finally got our main dish and the rice was cold and uncooked. I also had to ask the waiter about the dessert that I saw on there fix menu online but not at the restaurant. Also another dessert ran out in the kitchen. We got our final check and it was incorrect since my partner did not have a dish from the second course but the manager was able to fix it. However, the waiter should have put that in prior to leaving his shift. Overall the price for our dinner was absolutely NOT worth what we ate a this restaurant. The only tasty thing we ate was the filet mignon. You can get a far larger meal and better food at any other restaurant. $125 per person was absolutely ridiculous. If a restaurant has a pre fix menu for New Years Eve and has a set amount of people making reservations for this dinner, how do you not have enough food for everyone?

This place is not kid friendly at all! The assistant manager was possibly racist, rude, and passive aggressive. We were told to turn down the babies iPad in that loud but empty place! We decided on Good Night because of the diverse menu, atmosphere, and we had eaten there while in town last year. We made reservations for the eight of us consisting of six adults and two children (both kids were my two year old grand babies). Upon arrival there were approximately four other tables eating there. Music played loudly in the background and people talked and laughed equally as loud. Our server came out and took our drink order. We had the babies seated in the center of the table next to each other with their parents on each side and grandparents across from them. They were extremely well behaved and quiet. We gave them each a book. Then, we put an iPad between them while playing a movie. Soon after, the assistant manager came over to our table and told my daughter “I’m going to need you to turn that down. Thank you”’, and walked away. This was a kids iPad that even at max volume is not that loud. The sound of the iPad was in no way louder than noise level of the restaurant. The iPad was actually much lower than the voices at our own table. The babies were actually leaning in to hear. At that point I knew we weren’t wanted as we were a family of minorities. We were the only table of black and brown people there. We shouldn’t have to say that our table consisted of an anesthesiologist, a chemist, an engineer, executives, two babies, and a teacher. We shouldn’t have to say that we are a very middle class family who dine in restaurants of similar caliber (often with the babies) probably weekly; yet, have never ever been asked such a thing. So we politely put on our coats and left. On the way out we did speak to the general manager who apologized and offered us a meal at a later time which we declined.

Simply put, do not dine here! The food is mediocre at best, the service is awful, and the menu is very limited with no ability to make any accommodations. This was our second time visiting Good Night since there aren’t many dinner options in Woodstock with a nice ambiance. During our first visit last year we had a decent experience but this most recent visit, the energy was completely off from the servers to the assistant manager who abruptly came over to our table telling us to turn down my 2 year olds (kids tablet) that doesn’t even turn up that loud at all. I’m not sure what world the workers at this restaurant are living in but as someone who has dined at some of the best restaurants in New York City and Philadelphia this place doesn’t compare at all and to offend your customers when you are MEDIOCRE is actually laughable. There were only 4 tables left in the restaurant and music playing throughout the place. The comment from the assistant manager felt racially charged and like she was triggered by kids being in the restaurant. We were a large party and had only placed our drink order at this time. The comment from the assistant manager made us we feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable. We decided to leave and spend our $700+ at a more welcoming environment that actually wants to serve their customers not OFFEND them. We will NOT be back.
