Opinions de Hudson Valley Steakhouse Yorktown Heights
If your looking for a delicious dinner in Westchester, go to Hudson Valley Steakhouse! The porterhouse is to die for and the rest of the entrees are as well, the sides are delicious too! The atmosphere, location, food, and price can't be beat and is a must if you haven't been yet! Food is consistently perfect!
Words cannot describe the quality of food and service that my date and I received when going to this restaurant. It was lunch, so it was very quiet. He ordered a dry aged steak, and I had the filet mignon hamburger. The steak was out of this world in flavor and tenderness! My burger was a little under done like, but I like my beef well done. Even it being under done, it was the best burger I've ever had. The service was excellent, my glass was never empty, and the best part was that the music wasn't loud. I have a sensitivity to louder sounds, so the lower music volume was wonderful.
We made very early reservations, so we were the only ones there. The service was fantastic (we even got a complimentary drink) and the food was extremely tasty. Very pleased. Everyone was very kind and attentive.
The food was delicious and the service was excellent! Definitely a high end restaurant and one to visit on a special occasion. Best food, drinks, and dessert I've had in a long time!
First time here and if I can give them a 10 star ⭐️ I would. From the manger to the all the Servers and bus boys , excellent service. The Presentation of the food to the Quality of the food was beyond my Expectations. Home made Tiramisu Dessert a must . I Celebrating my husband 50th birthday and the Experience was so great this will now become our new, go to place.
It's about time that Yorktown had a restaurant like this - high quality food and excellent service without a long drive. I came with my parents and wife for a special occasion, and we shared most of the dishes. Our favorite entree was the Petite Filet Mignon, which was cooked to perfection. Our favorite appetizers were specials: scallops with prosciutto, and mussels in marinara. We also loved the Hudson Valley salad with its perfectly balanced balsamic vinaigrette, and the Hudson Valley potatoes, which were crispy and flavorful. We ate the food so fast that we forgot to take photos! The service was excellent, attentive without making us feel rushed. For those who care about ambience, that was also good. The restaurant is brand new, well decorated, clean, and has good low-light and the right level of music to block out other tables' conversations without making it impossible to hear your own table. We will definitely be coming back next time we want a good steak dinner.
Excellent food and service. Our waitress Mia definitely made sure our drinks were the way we wanted. She always checked up on us and provided excellent service. The service can either make or break a restaurant and in this case Mia connected with us and made sure we were happy. Food arrived on time, no issues with the food. Drinks were ehhh ... but again Mia took them back and replaced with the right drink to end the night.
Wow..the food was outrageously delicious! Best steak I have ever had. What place! The service was 2nd to none especially from the more mature waiters. I believe both of their names were Jimmy. Just so charming and helpful!Like a favorite uncle!! My plate and drink were never empty. What an asset to this fine restaurant they are! Made my stay memorable.
We haven't been back in awhile and decided to go this evening. The food was wonderful (porthouse for 2), hudson salad (shared), walnut pecan pie was delicious and not too sweet. It was a full house shortly after we came but our server Frank was attentive and friendly and made it an even more enjoyable dinner. We will go back soon.
It was our 1st date night since the quarantine and having a baby. Hudson Valley Steakhouse did not disappoint. Staff was kind, courteous and friendly. The food was divine. Succulent steaks cooked to perfection and the sides were delicious. Dessert was literally the cherry on top. We will definitely return soon.
Cassandra was absolutely amazing. The food was excellent but the level of hospitality and warmth that was exhibited by Cassandra ensures that we will be back but having her wait on us again is a must. We have eaten in many high end restaurants and in such a case, both service and food must be top notch. This young lady truly made the experience spectacular as she was caring and friendly and fully engaged with our dining experience. I can’t wait to suggest this restaurant to friends and family and insist that when they go, to request Cassandra. I will literally wait for a table to be available in her section or change my reservation if she is not working on a particular day. She’s that good. Thank you Cassandra. You were amazing, keep up the great work and that beautiful smile.
I've been here twice and each time was excellent. The service was amazing and the food was outstanding. Everything from the appetizers to the steaks and dessert were perfect. they aren't as pricey as some of the reviews would have you believe. In the end you get what you pay for. Will definitely be back again!!!!
What a great Christmas eve dinner. We started out in the bar and Tony was amazing. Dinner in the dinning room was delicious. We will definitely be back!
We got married right before quarantine started so we didn’t really get a chance to enjoy going out as a married couple. For our “first date” since getting married, we decided to try out Hudson Valley Steakhouse and it was amazing! The service was phenomenal as well as the food. We highly recommend this steakhouse and for us, it’s worth the hour and a half drive from Brooklyn.
Fantastic service- phenomenal food- Atmosphere was good- nothing particularly standout- could use a little sprucing honestly- wasn't crazy about the ambience- but it also wasnt bad- it just didnt align with how phenomenal the food and service was. The sign out front detracts from how excellent the place is- imo the sign out front is tacky- really, who cares- but I remember as we drove up I almost said to my wife "nah, not here" bc of what I "thought" the place would've been like, based on the enormous tacky sign - but I'm really glad we went in and gave it a shot because the restaurant is absolutely Top notch and now among our favorites. Will be back 100%
I've been to Hudson Valley Steakhouse for both Happy Hour at the bar and for dinner. The food menu at the bar is limited but great selection. I tried something recommended by a friend, carrot chips. I don't know what I was expecting but these were amazing! So much so, I didn't want to share. I even order them for dinner though they are not on the dinner menu. Other faves are Applewood Smoked Bacon app, Wedge Salad, Tomahawk Steak for 2 and HV potatoes. Friends tell me the seafood apps are also good. I'm allergic to shellfish so did not try any. It's on the pricey side but worth every penny. I suggest going for special occasions or date night. The staff is friendly, attentive and accomodating.
My husband and I came here for our wedding anniversary and had a wonderful experience. Cassandra was our server and was very knowledgable about the menu. It is expensive, but you get what you pay for. The most expensive item on the menu was the tomahawk steak ($110), but we saw three people order it that evening and it is a massive cut that would easily feed more than one person. Everything was absolutely delicious from the oysters to the tiramisu dessert. Cocktails were also reasonably priced ($10) which was a happy surprise. We will definitely be coming back.
My husband and I went there for dinner. Everything was perfect. From the ambiance to the service to the food. We had the porterhouse for 2, broccoli, asparagus, Chilean sea bass, cocktails, shrimp cocktail, shared cheesecake for dessert. Perfect NYC steakhouse in Westchester. We will definitely be going back.
The 5 star review certainly comes with a very large asterisk. And let me preface this review by stating that I currently work and have been working in the food service industry for over 2 decades. The place was spotless and you can tell they follow and take Covid protocols very seriously. The lighting was perfect and my wife commented on how great the music and ambience was. The service was prompt, polite and professional. Once our steaks were dropped off, everything changed. The food runner made sure we had enough room for our steaks and sides and then vanished. We didn’t see our server, or any employee for that matter for over 30 minutes. Mind you, it was late and most of they other tables inside the restaurant were gone when the steaks arrived, so it wasn’t like they were busy or in the weeds. We never received steak knives for our delicious cuts of meat. Luckily they were tender enough to cut with our butter knives. The server never checked to see if everything ordered came out correctly or if the steaks were cooked properly. Would of loved to enjoy a couple glasses of Cabernet with our steaks, but again, we were left completely abandoned. The only sign of life was a distant conversation that a few employees were having. The expletives from the 2 workers were certainly more abundant than the service we received. Being in the industry, I have a lot of patience. Especially with Covid. However, I was about to get up and find someone. Anyone. Then, a sign of life. A server finally came over. I guess break time was over or they finished doing their side work and emerged from behind a curtain. Dessert felt rushed. Like they were slightly annoyed that we were keeping them longer. There was no attitude or rudeness or anything like that, just felt as if the ambiance and feel of the place changed drastically. It was my wife’s birthday. I stipulated in my reservation that it was and the hostess was aware of it. No singing occurred. No “Happy Birthday” written with chocolate sauce on a plate. Not even a single candle. Just a very bizarre experience. Maybe because it was late. Who knows. The food was excellent, the drinks were great. Dessert was phenomenal. Service was amazing up to a certain moment. I’ll certainly return, but perhaps earlier in the evening.
This was our first time at this steakhouse. Amazing atmosphere and the food was delicious. Kron was our waiter and he was amazing! Answered all of our questions and gave great recommendations. I would definitely recommend this restaraunt and I would go there again.
Great experience last nite! Our waiter Chase was outstanding!. Very accommodating and knowledgeable of the menu. Steak was cooked to perfection!. Great wine list! Thanks for a great meal HVSH!!. We'll be back!
This is our favorite place around, and Tony is one of the main reasons. He is always very welcoming and makes you feel right at home. The cocktails are delicious and the happy hour is terrific.
Great meal here. Stopped in on a whim while driving upstate. We got the aged steak for two and it was great - presentation was a bonus. While the steak was great the broccoli was out of this world. So fresh and cooked to perfection. Pasta, drinks and bread were all solid. Note that everything is a la carte here.
Great experience here with a large (8) party that was mostly kids. Was treated the same as if were 8 adults, even though our serve Paulo had to have realized quickly that the food/drink bill would be much lower than a normal party of 8(especially at 6:30 on a Friday). Food and service were top notch and very appreciative of the hospitality.
If you have not experienced HV Steakhouse and the amazing service ans food, you're missing out. Toni at the bar is amazing, and every cocktail is prepared to perfection, and when we walk in we feel like we are family. What else can we ask for?!?! The happy hour menu is awesome, the ribeye and branzino delicious, and don't underestimate the Chicken Scarpiello or Parmigiano! Amazing. Love it all.
This is the go to steakhouse in Westchester. We have had private events here and lots of family gatherings here as well. The food is phenomenal and service is excellent. I love the Oyster Rockefeller- I have never tasted anything like it and I am a foodie. The fried calamari is delish and I always dip it in the oyster Rockefeller sauce. I suggest ordering both together. The Hudson valley potatoes always hit the spot and of course- we go for the Tomahawk steak. I have also had a Filet Mignon-another great choice. And for those who don’t like meat, their pastas are actually phenomenal and the sizes are massive and plenty to bring home for left over. We are literally stuffed when we leave and I love going back. It’s one of those spots when your like hmmm where should we go? Let’s try something new- than your like ummmm no Let’s go to our spot because it always hits the spot!! This is fine dining- they also have a great bar menu. We have been there too when we don’t want to do a formal dinner. We are soooo lucky to have a spot like this in Yorktown and it’s right off the Taconic which makes it even easier to get to.
Great happy hour hangout. Excellent mixologist and the food is delicious.
My husband and I went there on Saturday night for dinner. The place is really nice and the service was excellent. He ordered baked clams to start and I ordered clams on the half shell. I have to say that I got oysters on the half shell instead but they were very good so I never mentioned it to the waiter. We both ordered steak and I ordered a jumbo baked potato. My husband ordered the creamed spinach. The food was great. It's a little pricey but most steakhouses are and we expected it. Nice place, great service and delicious food. Can't beat that. We'll be going back for sure. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would.
We had a Birthday dinner for my dad's 75th tonight with a group of 9. The Food was fresh and delicious. They let me split a plate for the younger kids.. The service was wonderful. They let me bring in a special cake from outside. I highly recommend this restaurant. Great atmosphere for a special occasion. Also handicapped wheelchair accessible which was important for mom. Highly recommended!
Very nice setting and spacious. All staff is quite attentive and professional. Everyone in our party complimented their meal. I'd compare cost to a Morton's Steakhouse.
My husband and I were in the area this evening and decided to stop in. We did not have reservations but the host quickly accommodated us. Our waiter, Ryan, was very attentive and friendly (as was all the staff). The food was absolutely amazing. I enjoyed a fish dinner that was filleted for me at the table and my husband enjoyed his steak. It was a quiet, comfortable, relaxing atmosphere. Thank you to Ryan and the staff for helping to make this a wonderful evening for us. If you are looking for a quaint place to enjoy dinner then this is definitely a good restaurant to dine in.
Food was great. Service was great. Décor and space were great. Our waiter was awesome. The busgirl/attendant was exceptionally helpful. My wife and I ENJOYED the tomahawk steak for 2 (Cooked and seasoned to perfection). We also had the Hudson potatoes, creamed spinach, calamari was average (Appetizer). We had the Junior's cheesecake and the Walnut Pecan Pie which were decent. If ever back in the Hudson Valley area, we would come back. Thank you for helping us celebrate our 25th Anniversary!!
My experience was amazing. Not only was the service lightning quick but the food was excellent. I had the fried calamari as an appetizer and it was great. Then I ate the porterhouse and it was fabulous. The waiters were not only quick but they were very nice. I had an amazing cheesecake to finish. I was very impressed and will be going back!
Loved this place! My husband and I came with another couple on New Years Eve. 2 of us are Vegan and thought we could just get some veggies and a baked potato while the other 2 got a terrific looking steak. The waiter said he would take care of us and brought 2 plates full of beautifully roasted vegetables. They were perfectly cooked and just delicious! First time at a steakhouse or any restaurant that delivered so beautifully. Our friends loved the steak by the way too so everyone was happy and full!
Absolutely love the happy hour here. The drinks are terrific. The choice of bar bites - delicious. The filet mignon trio, chicken arugula and portobello mushroom are soooo good! Have to give a shout out to the bartender Tony, he is wonderful. We will be back again soon.
We went with a medium sized party to celebrate the coming new year and had an amazing time! The place is split between a full size bar and then table seating. Both areas were full but not crowded and made for a really cozy feeling. The staff was super attentive start to finish, greeting us on the way in as well as shaking our hands on the way out which just added to the charm of the place. We were sat at our table and the atmosphere is really comfortable. Formal appearance, upscale look & feel…none of the stuffiness. They have an awesome wine list with bottles ranging and when we had questions one of the bartenders came to our table personally to help guide us to the right bottle (don’t see that every day!) We went wild with the food too, ordering lots of apps with the idea that the table would share them which always leads to the question for servers “how many X come with this one?” Or “how many salads do you think we should get?” - well not only did they help us there but even things that weren’t traditionally “shareable” they split in the back for us and put on separate plates so as to make it shareable. GREAT service there. (Get the thick cut bacon!) The food is of course steak, lots of options from sirloin to aged, as well as a section of traditional Italian favorites. Plenty of parking and super easy to get to right off of 202. Def give this spot a try if you want a nice meal or just a nice bar to hang at with good people.
It’s my first time visiting this hidden gem and wow ! Their service is A+, everyone is attentive and constantly pass by your table to make sure everything is good. The food was super flavorful and cooked perfect. We had one of their specials, 3 lb lobster with mussels in red sauce. For dinner we had the porter house for 2 with mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. Chefs kiss ! I highly recommend visiting.
Elegant lovely restaurant with a warm atmosphere. Staff friendly and impressive. Very difficult to decide what to have out of their menu. We had a party of 9 and everyone was extremely satisfied with their choices. From a filet minion burger, salmon, chicken, and steak. My Sea scallops were absolutely delicious. Desserts, cappuccino and after dinner drinks provided the perfect ending to this dining experience.
Food, service and atmosphere are always A+. Thank you Tony for always giving us the best service and attention.
**Review for Hudson Valley Steakhouse** ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My husband and I recently celebrated our anniversary, which coincidentally falls on his birthday, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place than Hudson Valley Steakhouse for this special occasion. From the moment we walked in, we were enveloped in an ambiance that was both warm and inviting—perfect for a celebration. The culinary experience was nothing short of outstanding. Every dish we tried was superb, from the expertly crafted appetizers to the main course and dessert. The highlight for me was the sexy martini; it was a deliciously refreshing start to our meal. Each plate was beautifully presented and packed with flavor that truly delighted our taste buds. What truly enhanced our dining experience, however, was the impeccable service. Our waiter, Krone, was not only attentive but also incredibly knowledgeable. He made personalized recommendations that perfectly complemented our meals and made us feel like valued guests throughout the evening. Overall, Hudson Valley Steakhouse exceeded our expectations in every way. We left feeling pampered and satisfied, and we highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to enjoy an exceptional dining experience. We’ll certainly be returning to celebrate many more special occasions!
Can’t say enough good things about HVS from the exceptional service and staff to the amazing you can’t wait to come back for more food. Don’t make the mistake of leaving without trying the Oyster Rockefeller. The lobster 🦞 and cream spinach were very good. Thank you Tony for the delightful and perfectly prepared Cucumber Martini 🍸 Treat yourself to Hudson Valley Steakhouse with no hesitation you won’t be disappointed.
I read the other reviews and would like to also applaud this restaurant, very CLEAN, food was very very good! Most of the staff were very attentive...the only one person was not with same good attitude was the female server, she seemed to not have a great attitude and was rushing us even though restaurant was fairly empty, we didnt feel welcomed there too long by her attitude. Everything else was perfect
The food was fantastic - for starters, we ordered the Blue Point oysters - the kitchen did a great job with the presentation and shucked the oysters correctly- this is a skill my wife and I appreciate because we are huge oyster on the half shell people! We shared the tomahawk ribeye for two, med rare, with creamed spinach and the Hudson Valley potatoes. The ribeye was cooked to perfection and had great sear and wonderful marbling! The potatoes were fried just right with bits of onion included. Finally, the creamed spinach was perfect- not too runny or too stiff. For dessert we shared a cappuccino and the crème brûlée- perfect. Service was nice and we shall return soon!
We visited yesterday for my daughter’s birthday. Our server Jack was absolutely phenomenal! Despite the restaurant being super busy he was incredibly attentive and made sure every detail of our dining experience was perfect. His friendly demeanor and genuine enthusiasm truly elevated our evening, making it one of the best dining experience. Food was delicious! But his great personality stood out above all….Thank You!
If you want a special experience check in with Tony at the bar. Tony has the innate ability to make everyone feel special. Make everyone feel like family and make everyone feel like they are the most important person at the bar at Hudson valley steakhouse. He's synonymous with this fantastic establishment. I say to my girl. Let's go see Tony! And we know we have an incredible night ahead of us at the steakhouse.
A Steakhouse tends to be an expensive dinner, especially paired with drinks but if your treating yourself to a steak dinner then you expect that. Hudson Valley Steakhouse is not ridiculously expensive for a steak house. In fact, for happy hour they offer some of the best bargains in Westchester. We found the food to be very good. If your on the fence, try the happy hour first.
Our service was amazing! Drinks, food and attentiveness was superb. I would highly recommend this steakhouse.
My boyfriend took me there for my birthday dinner last night. It was our first time there. Food and service were top notch. Ambience was warm and inviting. Beautiful decor from the bar to the main dining area. Surf and turf was so good! Everything was cooked perfectly. Our waiter, Dakota, was attentive and friendly. Pear and cucumber martinis were delicious. We had walnut cake and cappuccino for dessert, 10/10! Our new favorite steakhouse for sure. Highly recommend!
Great place. The chef knows what he is doing. My wife is picky but they always gets her plate right. Server staff is always good too.
Always a great time here! Tony behind the bar is the best — super fun, personable, and makes every visit a blast. He knows how to keep the energy up and the drinks flowing perfectly. The food’s also delicious — great flavors, fresh, and always consistent. Can’t recommend this place (and Tony!) enough!
The Wait staff is top notch. Very professional and accommodating. The atmosphere and look are really elegant and yet whole families dine here comfortably. It is a welcoming environment. The food couldn't be better. True quality and freshness is priority here. Flavor and cook of the steak is perfection.
The ribeye steak on the bone was cooked perfectly and packed with rich, flavorful juices that made every bite delicious. My wife’s New York strip was equally impressive—tender, well-seasoned, and full of flavor. The service truly elevated the experience, with our waiter, Steven, providing exceptional attention and professionalism throughout the meal. It was an excellent dining experience from start to finish.
Great steaks and great seafood! Everything was tasty. It’s really good for large parties and celebrations. It’s pretty loud. The large steaks for 2-3 people are delicious and generously large.
I work in finance in nyc and spent the last 20 years doing high end steakhouse dinners. This is easily the best steakhouse in Westchester and probably top 3 in the state. Service level is impeccable, steak quality is as high as possible and steaks are always cooked to perfection. Mashed potatoes have roasted garlic and are crispy on top, and the creamed spinach is the best I have ever had.
We celebrated my Fiancés birthday yesterday at HV Steak House. It was absolutely amazing!!! We shared the DryAged Tomahawk for 2, the loaded baked potato ( ask for bacon and cheese) and creamed spinach. They carved the steak table side which I thought added a nice touch. Everything was perfect cooked and seasoned. We were extremely happy. Additionally the bar has a fantastic selection of high end scotch, cognac, bourbon and whisky for those interested. Extra special mention to the bartender Ryan who went out of his way to make the night special. Highly recommend!!!!
We hit a homerun when we happened upon Hudson Valley Steakhouse! Soup to nuts, you will find this place to be the definition of FINE DINING, but be prepared; it does not come cheaply! From reservation to departure, the restaurant is well-managed and well-staffed, the meals are prepared with quality and monumental portions, and the atmosphere is golden! When we placed our reservation on OPEN TABLE, we indicated under special requests, we were seeking a private table. Upon arrival, the kind and friendly manager, Tim, escorted us in, immediately addressing that need, indicating he took the time to read the request. Tim was unconventionally attentive to us as well as his other customers. At one point, he noticed I was distracted by the sun peering in through the window, so he went outside to open an umbrella over one of the outdoor tables, to keep the sun off of me. In addition to Tim, our sever Ryan was upbeat, enthusiastic and hardworking in his endeavors. In fact, he was so good in his craft, he talked me into the higher-priced ribeye steak. I'm glad he did, because it was prepared with perfection at medium-rare temperature. Julie enjoyed her chicken parmigiana and together we shared sides of steamed spinach and pasta with tomato sauce. The sides were mammoth-sized and tasty, however, I'd recommend a little less sauce for the pasta. I washed it down with a margarita, but the portion sizes were so big, we took a sample of EVERYTHING home. Though full, we were not defeated, as we shared a tiramisu, which lived up to our expectations. Hudson Valley Steakhouse is a keeper in my book, but the prices will limit us to only once-in-a-while visits.
This restaurant is a GEM !! Not just a meal but an unforgettable experience. The servers here are incredible, professional, funny and warm, and made us feel extra special. The owner, Timmy, is the beating heart of this establishment and makes us feel as if dining here is stepping into a friend's home. Their passion for both food and hospitality shines through, creating an atmosphere where patrons aren't just customers but cherished guests. The ambiance reflects this sentiment: cozy yet refined, perfect for intimate dinners or celebratory gatherings. THE FOOD OMG. It's delicious plates one after the other coming from the kitchen. I especially loved the branzino, the spinach, and the creme brulee. Every dish is a masterpiece, crafted with precision and passion. I would highly recommend this restaurant, you can't go wrong coming here, every day!
What a great time with my husband and son 5 minutes from home. The food is delicious and plentiful. I had enough for lunch and a snack the next day. The staff are pleasant and professional. It was wonderful to see the restaurant packed after Covid-19 shut the place. It would be a shame to lose this elegant gem.
First off, their outdoor dining setup is top notch! The food is good and the staff is attentive. I didn't like that no side came with the entrees (especially if you're paying $40 for a NY Strip), so minus a star. Whatever spotify station they were playing jammed!! I shazammed the entire time I was there, lol. I don't think I'd go back, but I would recommend for outdoor dining and casual ambience since food is good even if expensive.
Very good. Lobster bisque was the best I've ever had. Petite Filet was excellent, and incredibly flavourful. Sirloin was very good. Very nice upscale interior. A la carte only. Good service. Very Expensive. Great wine selection, but you can only buy three house reds by the glass (and some whites, etc.) , otherwise bottles only. I have heard that the dry aged steaks are incredible; I wish I had splurged and gotten one.
Went only for happy hour. Sat at the bar. The bartender service was very good. The cocktail was good, a healthy pour, but not great. The food was delicious. We had the crispy carrots and shrimp cocktail. Both were fantastic. I'll go back.
HV Steakhouse has become a go-to for my family's special occasions. (This is admittedly partly location, because it's super close to my dad's house.) The food is routinely outstanding. I do occasionally wish I could get a bearnaise sauce with my steak--not an option on the menu--but it's not really needed. The steaks are seasoned add cooked perfectly. The asparagus always has just the right amount of crunch. The mushroom caps are delicious. The baked potatoes are the size of a small child. And the service is nearly always terrific. (We miss the waiter we had the first three or four times we came, but suspect he may have retired.) The only downsides are ambiance: It can get very loud and the bathroom location is dicey--you have to be very careful not to crash into a waiter coming out of the kitchen. Also, I think that massive portrait of, I dunno, some Borgia maybe? came from another restaurant the owner has (had?), But it feels pretty out of place.
Decided to go a bit more upscale for date night. I was pretty apprehensive about the prices. Even moreso, since they're not listed on the website. If it was based on FMV for each dish, I'd understand that but that s not reflected on the menu. Portions: Good. Much bigger than chain steakhouse. Tatse: I was rather surprised how good the food was. That may be because they didn't undercook my steak. Which has been a common occurrence. Kudos for a perfectly well done steak. Sides were good, as well. Cost: A bit pricey. Other places supplement the main course with a side dish in cost. When you pay separately you have to then factor in the overall cost of the meal. So my 50+10=60 for a surf and turf and a side dish. Not outrageous considering portions but by no means a cheap meal. Figure a little over $100 for a meal for 2 with 2 main courses, 2 sides, and drinks. One other quick note, refills aren't free. Staff: Friendly Service: A bit faster than most places Overall: We'll be back.
Came for dinner. Prices are what you would expect from a good steak house. The Manhattan I had was very good. The food was excellent. Had the bacon for appetizer, the tomahawk steak for dinner, and creme brulee for dessert. Steak was cooked perfect rare and was delicious. Creme brulee was one of the best I've had. They come around at the end and offer you either homemade grappa or anisette. Grappa was good. Only negative was the waiter just wasn't around enough. Hard to find when needed something. When he was around he was very polite and helpful. Will definitely be back.
Food was OK - steak slightly underdone, but tasty nonetheless. Sides were serviceable, but nothing special (creamed spinach and the mashed). Service slightly lacking. Atmosphere was nice, but the music choices were a little odd (Def Leppard played at background music levels is still Def Leppard). Should bring a little more to justify the pricing, in my opinion. Try it for yourself, maybe it was an off night...
I'm surprised to see the reviews are not better. We've been only once so far, but our meal was exceptional and the service unusually professional - very attentive but not obsequious. I have already made my reservation for Christmas Eve dinner. Update- Christmas Eve dinner was superb. Still 5 stars! Went back a third time. The place is definitely in decline, both food and service
Extremely expensive for unimpressive meat. No included sides at all for such high prices either. You could go to a grocery store and get way better cuts of meat for a fraction of the price. The prices are like you’re dining in Manhattan.
Surprisingly mediocre. Terrible bacon, needed a chainsaw to cut it. Steaks were good, not great. Fries were soggy. Could not get the waiter's attention. Getting silverware seemed to be an issue, as I had to ask multiple times and we just shared knives instead of letting our food get cold. Totally forgettable.
Husband had steak .said was good.i had lobster tails.large tails but the butter was like water. And had a $15 baked potato. Which is absurdly priced. Beer was warm. And service was chaotic cause there was a large party going on. Sorry to say my experience was not the best tonight.
Great service Ryan. Pricey Steaks were tender but served lukewarm as were sides of onion rings and asparagus Salads were shared nice ingredients but salad plates were warm not cold and they should be
This restaurant nails the atmosphere. Where they lack is the food and menu. Upscale steakhouse and they give you a menu that is plastic. Not a nice leather bound hard folder. Felt like a menu you get at a diner. The bread. Bread wasn’t cut all the way through so you had to play tug a war with the bread so you could separate the slices. Bread and butter were horrible. Poor quality butter and then the bread was burned and super crusty and messy. I’ve had better bread at the diner. They only have one soup on the whole menu. With how expensive the steaks are they don’t even give you a salad for the table. Main courses were great and the wait staff were good. Would have liked the appetizer plates and bread basket cleaned off table before main course came out to make more room at table. Soda was flat and disappointing. Other than that nice atmosphere and decor and service.
My husband and I visited this restaurant on a Sunday at about 5pm. The facade has a modern feel. In the interior the place is trying to achieve a sort of old world feel complete with private dinning spaces enclosed by velvet curtains as well as thick tapestry like curtains hanging in selected areas. The wait staff was attentive and observant. There was a specialty drink menu. I ordered a mojito from the menu, my husband a corona. The mojito was very very bitter could not taste the mint or simple syrup. The glass which was brought for the corona was so cold it turned the beer into literal ice beer chunks my husband chewed. The bread bought to the table was I think a sour dough, a bit too toasted on the outside. Burnt bread pieces everywhere. We ordered oysters. They were fine. I ordered the filet mignon, no flavor except for the char. My husband ordered the branzino in a red sauce. The sauce was bland. All sides are a la carte. We ordered the sauteed broccoli. It was fine. For dessert I had creme brulee, undercooked and my husband's cheesecake tasted store bought. Finally the lovely waiter presented us with a complimentary house anise liquor, we didnt care for it. We ate our meal, paid the bill, left a nice tip for the waiter and did not complain as we did not want to be "that couple" looking for a handout. Perhaps it was an off night. To be fair there were people dinning right behind us and I overheard then say everything was "delicious". So go figure.
So we went for Mothers Day. Party of 9 which included my 8 yr old niece. They were charging $75 a head. Before we sat down we were told that we only had 2 hours to eat by the waiter. He kept trying to get us to hurry and order which made the 3 mothers we had at the table uncomfortable. For $75 we should of had a choice of steaks but some were $10 to $20 more. I ordered the NY sirloin, medium which was bland and seemed like it hadn't been thawed out completely when it was cooked. My niece had penne pasta which I was surprised to get charged $full price for. The accompaniment was steamed broccoli, no seasoning or flavoring whatsoever and french fries. We were given two medium plates of broccoli to share among 9 people and I had to ask for a second plate of fries because we were only given one plate of those to share. The beers were not cold. We ordered Stella's and they seemed to have been in the fridge for fifteen to twenty minutes max. They do have a nice selection of wines. Dessert was to be shared also and we got 4 slices of cheese cake and 4 slices of chocolate cake again to be shared by 9. After spending $823 I was left wishing I had gone somewhere else because there is no way that food was that impressive nor did we get any value for that kind of money.
First food was delicious and ambience was nice, however the waiter ruined a nice evening by demanding more money on a already nice tip. Approached our party of 5 confrontational insisting on more money. We have never seen someone so unprofessional. We spent a lot of money and dinner was good until that point. Since when is it okay to DEMAND more money from paying customers. Will never return to this place.
Had dinner here with a good friend 2 weeks ago. The atmosphere and service were stellar. Our server was very welcoming and attentive, as was all of the wait staff. The maitre’d was also very friendly. The food, however, was not exactly top notch. When going to a high end steakhouse, as this is supposed to be, one would expect to get blown away by the food. Especially the steak. We started with 2 appetizers, oysters on half shell and the thick cut bacon. The oysters had an off, somewhat fishy taste to them and the bacon, although a quite large piece, was literally 80% fat. For the entree, we shared the dry aged porterhouse for 2. Our sides were creamed spinach, Hudson valley potatoes and sautéed asparagus. The steak was quite honestly, one of the blandest steaks I’ve ever had. Basically zero seasoning. It was cooked perfectly but, lacked everywhere else. The creamed spinach was delicious, far and away the best tasting part of the meal. The Hudson valley potatoes were ok. Basically thin steak fries mixed with onions and peppers, nothing too complicated. The asparagus was decent at best. We also got a bottle of wine, which was quite good however in a place like this you would expect high end wine to be stored properly. It was room temperature. At these prices, there should be a temperature controlled room (or wine fridge) to store wine. Overall, I’m not sure I could recommend this restaurant. Although, as I said, the atmosphere and wait staff were excellent, the food is what you come for and it was a big let down.
Service was literally non existent. They weren't busy and we never saw a waiter until time to pay the bill. I had to get my own menus and then have the host take our order. The food was good, however for level of service alone I will not be back. They also didn't bring one of the side dishes yet tried to charge me for it. There is absolutely no quality control. The prices are standard for a good steakhouse. Built into that price though should be exceptional service and this is where they failed miserably. I will also not be recommending to anyone based on this experience alone.
The bread was cold, and my $65 Prime NY Steak was slim and dry. I don't think they let the meat rest. I enjoyed a good dinner once before with friends. However, when I went alone, I was extremely disappointed. The food should be consistent wherever you go!
My husband and I ended up walking out after being seated and ignored for more than 20 minutes. The restaurant had one other table of guests that came In after us but were served first. Never got the chance to try the menu so I can’t comment on the quality of the meal. For a pricey Steakhouse you expect better service.
Best way to describe it would be "all bark and no bite", or "putting lipstick on a pig". They have a pleasantly decorated interior, and a ton of wait staff, but their prices are unreasonable for the quality and portions. They serve cold bread and butter pulled from a packet. The lamb chops were close to $50, and their "signature burgers" at $21, were nothing more than salty american cheese burgers with two puny strips of overcooked bacon. I'm not sure if they over-salted in hope of you buying more over-priced drinks, or if they did it to cover poor meat quality, either way, it was embarrassing. The baked clams were actually fairly tasty, but once again over-salted, and at $15, the 6 minuscule clams were reflective of the larger issues at hand. This place invested so heavily on appearances that they cut corners at ever turn when it comes to the food and service. Oh, did I mention the waiter was horrendous? Well, yeah, he was. Took forever to get our food and even longer to get the check. Aside from the two flies that kept me and my date company in the corner, the only customers in the restaurant were an elderly couple that clearly didn't have their wits about them. I'm not trying to insult said couple in any way shape or form, I'm sure they were beautiful people, but I only mention their mental state because that's the only type of person that would come back to this place a second time. I've been to NYC steakhouses and this is a poor facsimile with prices that surpass many of the cities best. If I could give it negative stars I would.
The atmosphere was nice, but the food was not up to par. As a steakhouse, they should know exactly how long to cook a steak. If you ask for medium rare it would not come out well done. The cowboy tomahawk steak itself was tender, but no flavor. Each side is extra. The baked potato I ordered, which was cut when served, was old and had the beginnning of a root inside. When seated waiter did not bring out the wine list. Apparently it was reserved for people they thought could afford them. The dessert was the best part. Not worth the money.
Was the food good? I have no idea because I never even looked at a menu. I didn’t look at a menu because no one gave one to me. Nor did anyone greet us, speak to us, tell us they’d be right there, nothing. A busser, who we believe just started brought us bread and water but that was it as far as service was concerned. After sitting for nearly 20 minutes we decided to leave. In fact, they were so inattentive that we could have left without anyone saying a word to us, but I made sure to let the manager know why we were leaving. Regrettable. Planned on a nice night to celebrate my birthday and Father’s Day. We went elsewhere.
Terrible! Snooty people. High prices. Looked down on a request for non alcoholic beverage and, when shocked at prices, was told by wait staff that we could find lower offerings at the Walgreens across the street. Save your money. Head to the dinner. Who needs to eat stale bread while bartender sells you swill, and, everyone stands around gawking.
It was AWFUL. Went there Friday evening with a group of six. The waitress must of been trained in a Diner. Very Un professional and rude. The appetizers came out real fast than we had to wait a very long time for our main course. We should of left after the apps The steaks were very tough and the lobster was so overcooked and rubbery. We couldn’t believe for the prices had bad the service and quality of the food was. We all never go back On a scale of one to ten it was a zero.
One of the worst services I've received from a restaurant in a long time. Arrived just after 6pm for a party of three for dinner and we all left after 9pm disappointed. This was our first time going to this restaurant so first impressions are very important to me. We placed our apps and dinner orders about 15-20 minutes after receiving our beverages. While we were waiting for our order and chatting amongst ourselves, the restaurant startled to fill in with other patrons. We noticed others that were seated after us receive their appetizers. Our waiter kept passing by our table without even acknowledging us. I literally had to grab our waiters arm while he walked past for the 10th time for his attention. He went to see what was the delay and apparently he said our ticket got lost. Granted our water was apologetic for the error, so we gave him a pass for that. After half an hour later, at around 730pm, we finally received our appetizers. Taste and appearance were average at best. We ordered fried calamari and their thick sliced bacon. The main course finally came out about another half an hour later. This was going to be the determining factor, after the long wait, to see if we would come back to this restaurant or not. After the first bite of my prime ribeye steak, I will DEFINITELY NOT be returning. I ordered my steak medium and it came well done. Usually, at a good steakhouse, two minutes after receiving your steak, the waiter comes around and asks "how your steak came out?" Due to the lack of service and attention, our waiter never came to check up on us. After 20 minutes from receiving my steak, I only took 3 bites of my steak, and the waiter asked me if I wanted it boxed up. I told him no thanks as my steak was overcooked and loaded with butter. He didn't give any care for my disappointment or did a manager try to comp my dish. Without hesitation, we just asked for the check and ran out of the restaurant as quickly as possible. For a $50+ "prime ribeye steak" you would expect near perfection for a steak. They definitely fell way short of average at best. During our long wait for our dinners, we also noticed other patrons trying to get their waiters attention and they were also ignored. Definitely the staff needs more training with customer service and attentiveness to their tables. Even though the interior of the restaurant gave it an upscale look about it but the food and service don't reflect the price you're paying.
I visited this restaurant today with my family and left feeling extremely upset and disappointed with the behavior of the owner or manager. We have been loyal customers for three years, but after this experience, we will not be returning. We spent $400 on dinner, expecting a pleasant evening, but things took a turn when my 2-year-old daughter, who understandably got restless in her high chair, was allowed to walk around briefly after we asked for the check. The restaurant wasn’t crowded, and several other patrons were kind, even interacting warmly with her. However, a staff member — possibly the owner or manager — approached us in a shockingly rude manner, telling us that it was “unacceptable” for our daughter to walk around. I would have understood if this had been communicated politely, but his tone and attitude were completely uncalled for. Respect and kindness go a long way in customer service, especially toward loyal patrons and families with young children. Unfortunately, this experience has ensured that we will never return, and I’ll be sharing this experience with friends and family to warn them as well.
I felt like this place almost discriminated against me and my husband and toddler because we simply have a toddler. Look I know toddlers aren’t ideal but we walked in at 5 pm. We went in at 5 pm and the place was COMPLETELY empty. The “owner” comes out and tells my husband and toddler that if we will be out by 6 we can dine. Again the place was empty. I almost lost my mind on this man. I felt like Julia Roberts in pretty woman walking into a store on rodeo drive but as if she walked into a target. This place has the stuffiness of a fine dining restaurant without the fine dining. Way too stuffy for a place right across from BJs. Disgusting.
We were seated and menus were offered. We ordered steak. The steak was overcooked for one of us, and all the steak was seriously tough. It wouldn't even cut. A salmon dish and branzino was very good. Remember that this is a steak house. We are not returning.
