Degnan's Loft

After a day of hiking it was great to relax, drink a beer and eat pizza. They were short on help to bus the tables so I took matters into my own hands.

This place was a breath of fresh air after eating greasy, fast food all week. They serve fresh healthy food which tasted amazing after a long day of hiking. I got a teriyaki chicken bowl which was amazing, it was so fresh and so refreshing. The rest of my family got a burrito, and a beef bowl. They also loved what they got! The staff was friendly and the food came out very quickly which was nice because we were starving. The place was not busy for lunch or dinner (we went for both in one day!) For dinner we got nachos, tacos, and chips and salsa which was delicious as well. I would suggest this to anyone in Yosemite!

Great place to go while at Yosemite. The pulled pork is very tasty. Great place to chill by the fire, shoot a game of pool, have a beer or glass of wine, and enjoy a good meal.

2nd nicest bathrooms in the park! Wifi is pretty iffy, and even when it works, it's pretty slow. But all in all, we love getting some good coffee, hanging out by the fireplace, and just hanging out.

Friendly service and atmosphere. The fireplaces are fantastic! However, the food (we got rice bowls) were seriously lacking. The bathrooms were clean, way nicer than the public ones nearby. Good price on beer and cider.

Interesting "East Meets West" menu. All of the menu items are mediocre in terms of taste, but the atmosphere is definitely nicer than other eats in the vicinity. Good find for beer, pizzas, and tacos after a long day. Pros: nice, casual atmosphere; cocktails available; good prices Cons: food is okay; climbing the stairs up after hiking Upper Yosemite Falls is a struggle

Went here for a casual bday dindin and was very satisfied. Got the sampler, brisket was good and got the pork nachos. Man the white cheese sauce for the nachos was top notch! I wanted more!

the chicken bowl was excellent however the service was extremely slow and very scattered terms of who got their order and it could take up to almost an hour to get your order served. Additionally the internet work too poorly to not at all

The servings are large and the staff is friendly but the food leaves much to be desired. It's good as an apre-hike spot - lots of high empty calories options. We had the supreme nachos and they were loaded with cheese and sprinkling of other stuff but didn't taste as good. They'd run out of beans and we had to wait almost 30 mins given the weekend rush. The half dome village and basecamp eatery have much better food options.

The Loft is now for employees only?! It's great for employees to have a place to hang out, but Aramark should have updated the Google Maps info so we didn't get our hopes up. This place used to have great pizza. Be warned that this may now be permanently closed to be public. I was really looking forward to this on our trip to Yosemite!

Rude people behind the counter. Absolutely no restaurant etiquette. Learn to at least talk nicely to customers. If you are tired of working all day or if you don't like working here, whatever the reason is, please DO NOT take that out on customers, they are not responsible for your cranky mood. We got a really bad/rude response from someone at this place, and that person deserves to get fired. Wish I knew that old man's name.

Awful experience. I opted for the vegetarian soup, it was a help your self system so the soups were supposed to be clearly labelled so you can see what you're eating when you self serve. HOWEVER, someone had swapped the vegetarian lentil soup for a chicken one and left it labelled as vegetarian. Cpur the same, no way of telling... Until I ate a piece of chicken. I was absolutely horrified and beyond upset, I went straight to the counter to explain and complain about the incorrect signs indicating the soup was vegetarian. I was met with indifference and a mocking tone from the manager, who refused to give me a refund and only when pushed replaced my soup after making a string of sarcastic remarks about vegetarians. In 2022, this isn't acceptable. Furthermore, it's just bad customer service. Truly awful experience.

This year we came, ordered food and waited. It was around 6pm, quite crowdy so we didn't worry when 30 minutes passed. Anyway we asked waiter where is our food. He told us that they mixed up order's number, that's why didn't make us food but somebody will help us now. Manager appeared and took our order once again and promised that they will push our order upfront. But we waited another 20-30 minutes, still no food. We asked manager again. And discovered that they will not prepare any food for us, because it is already late and they will just refund us. So, we wasted more then one hour just waiting, and were left hungry without any chance to find food in 20 miles around. Summary: If you have chance to avoid this scammy place - avoid it!
