Opinions de Bouchon Bistro Yountville
If you’re in Yountville, do yourself a favor and stop by Bouchon Bakery -absolutely unforgettable pastries! We tried the strawberry OhOh, chocolate sea berry brioche, almond chocolate croissant, and my personal favorite -the almond croissant. Every single item was perfection: incredibly fresh, beautifully balanced flavors, and that delicate, flaky texture that just melts in your mouth. The strawberry OhOh was light and elegant, the chocolate sea berry brioche had such a unique rich-tangy combination, and the almond chocolate croissant was pure indulgence. But the almond croissant truly stole my heart -perfectly crisp outside, soft and buttery inside, with the most delicious almond filling. We also tried their vanilla latte -they make their own vanilla syrup in-house, which is a lovely touch. It was still a bit too sweet for my taste, but you can always ask them to go lighter on the syrup. Pro tip: ask them to warm up the croissants- it makes them even more incredible. A must-visit spot in Yountville. Already dreaming about going back!
French classics perfectly executed. We had the white wine mussels and the braised lamb shoulder with beans. Both cooked masterfully and the sauce was perfectly balance. I’m usually not a big fan of beans. It the sourness and the sauce made them amazing! Atmosphere is classic of a French bistro though it could have been a bit less cold. Service was impeccable. Only remark I could make is that the menu is actually too classic. When a chef like Thomas Keller puts his name on a restaurant, one would expect at least some dishes with more ambition. But the perfect execution is rare and we recognize this fully.
Visited here for dinner. Very popular restaurant. So reservation is a must. Ordered Moscow Mule, steak fries and Gnocchi. Crembrulle for desert. Food was excellent. Service was excellent. An excellent fine dining restaurant.
An elegant but current (without being trendy) spot for dinner with a dear friend. We enjoyed the wine selections and freshly baked bread when we sat down. The service was prompt and polite without being overbearing/hovering. I ordered the bibb salad (the dressing was amazing!) and the saffron mussels. I was thoroughly satisfied by the amount of food as well as the quality and flavors! My friend ordered the salmon on a bed of lentils and she loved how unique it was, as well! We ordered the profiteroles for dessert and they were divine! I would definitely recommend and return when in the area again.
I had almond croissant and ham cheese croissant, both were so good!!! Almost croissant wasn't too sweet so that was nice. I wish they warmed it up like ham cheese croissant tho. I liked ham cheese croissant the most cuz it was super flaky and the egg was so good.
Bouchon Bakery is a delightful gem worth the hype! With its charming atmosphere and delicious pastries, it's the perfect spot for a lovely day out in the Bay Area. Don't miss their flaky croissants and signature macarons—each bite is a treat. A must-visit for food lovers and those looking to explore the area!
Came for restaurant week. Wife and I had an EXCELLENT dinner. The service was top notch, and I mean one of the best we’ve ever had, with everyone involved constantly and appropriately checking in on us without being overwhelming. They really made the night special. The food was delicious. Tried the escargot, Steak frites, French onion soup. Extensive wine menu. I wish I could remember the gentleman’s name, shoutout because he was stellar! He should be recognized, our reservation was 1/30/26 at 5:30pm and we sat in the outside patio.
Phenomenal experience, finally a truly authentic French restaurant with exquisite food! We tried the escargot and they were very tasty, and the salmon and the lamb were to die for! So rich in flavor and perfectly cooked. The creme brulee was also perfect. Service was impressive, our waitress was a very nice lady from Belarus that made our experience very pleasant. Really, really worth it!
The food was phenomenal. The gnudi was one of the best things I had all trip. The salmon on the lentils was rich, unexpected, and divine. My husband devoured his steak and the frites were addictive. Our server was lovely and she was super attentive. My one complaint was how close the tables were, although that’s exactly what a bistro is like in France. But I could hear the conversation of the girl at the next table better than I could hear my own husband. The food and service made up for it!
Absolutely incredible service and food. We got engaged there, and they brought us the entire dessert menu on the house. The chocolate mousse was orgasmic. The lemon sabyon tart sublime. The creme brulee silky smooth. The gnocchi was pillowy soft and almost floated out of the plate. We will return here every time we come to the valley!
Everything was great! We started with truffle Mac and cheese, and deviled eggs, and both were delicious. Then we had some caviar, which for many of us was a first, and was delicious with perfect toast and just the right sides to bring out the flavor. Then I had the salmon, which was perfectly cooked to medium, tender on the inside with a crispy crust. The lentils it was served in, which I normally wouldn't eat were so flavorful they complemented the salmon perfectly and I ate them all. Then we finished up with some creme brulee and ice cream pastries with chocolate... And whole they were both relatively simple desserts they were exactly the right way to close out the meal. The service was exceptional, the atmosphere was cozy, and of my time in napa this was definitely my top choice!
We popped in for a late light lunch on the day after Thanksgiving and was surprised to be sat right away We timed it perfectly. The server was nice and attentive. We were served fresh bread baked from their bakery that is next door. We then had some very lovely oysters and a French onion soup. Everything tasted wonderful. My house chardonnay was nice and he loved his whisky sours. It was a nice place to warm up from the cold. Is it pricey, sure but what isn't in this area? We actually found it to be woth the price for the nice experience.
Bouchon Bistro will forever hold a special place in our hearts. My wife and I have been coming here for over 12 years, and it’s not only one of our all-time favorite restaurants; it’s a must every time we visit Napa. We’ve celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, our engagement, and soon we’ll be back in December for our babymoon. The food is consistently exceptional. The roast chicken is the best we’ve ever had, the steak frites is divine, and the salade lyonnaise is indulgent perfection. You simply have to end the evening with the profiteroles and crème brûlée; it’s non-negotiable. But what truly sets Bouchon apart is the team. The staff goes above and beyond to make every visit special. Their hospitality is world-class, and it’s clear they take immense pride in what they do. Thank you, Bouchon, for being such an enduring part of our lives and memories. We can’t wait to be back soon.
Wow, the flat iron steak was so flavorful! I upgraded for the corn and bacon side.. OMG so freaking tasty. Best corn side in my life! The ambiance is cute, Bistro style! The service was perfect, like cherry on top for a night out! Perfect spot to celebrate something or have an elegant dinner!
Food here was amazing! It is very pricey but you get what you pay for! I got the American Wagyu Ribeye ($100) and I will never forget the richness and texture of the ribeye. It was delicious! My family shared the other dishes (leg of lamb, fish, and steak frites), all were very good. The bread and butter served at the beginning were also some of the best I’ve ever had! My only complaint is that the menu is a bit hard to read in the dark, so perhaps more contrasting text would help my parents see it better.
We celebrated my brother's 60th birthday here. The food and service was excellent. I highly recommend the Rillettes aux Deau Saumons (smoked salmon), Laitue (bibb Lettuce), Steak aux Pommes de Terre (flat iron steak) and creme Caramel (vanilla custard). Theri and a female server (I can't recall her name) were fantastic and attentive. They helped make this evening memorable for my family.
Bouchon may have lost its Michelin star, but it still delivered everything you could want from a Michelin restaurant — impeccable food, cohesive atmosphere, and even a French chef who visits the table to explain what you’re about to eat! The French-inspired decor is both rich and regal; deep reds and dark woods really sell the royal-chateau vibe. The menu is expensive but not break-the-bank pricey; it was perfect for a special day out of wine tasting. I had the roasted chicken, which could not have been better — crispy skin, juicy meat, and plenty of gravy. I also had bites of the mussels and fries, which was the real star — cloves of melt-in-your-mouth garlic spread over the table bread were an absolute treat. I ordered a cocktail, which was just fine — I would pass on it next time for a glass of wine. That is, after all, what Napa is famous for! Service - excellent. Food - superb. Overall - 10/10.
Fantastic French Bistro with an amazing vibe, great food and great service. We had the pate, deviled eggs and the tartar for starters and excellent saffron mussels (so fleshy and tasty) and flank steak with tons of fries as mains. Really enjoyed the evening. Sister restaurant to the French Laundry Laundry.
We stopped by on a Friday. We didn’t make reservations but we got there at around 11:45 AM and luckily was able to grab the last unreserved table for 2 for the outside seating. Let me just say that everything was so great. The salad was citrusy and refreshing; my friend’s shepherd pie was delicious; I had the mussels with white wine sauce, it’s so delicious. The server also recommended a pairing of Sauvignon Blanc for my friend to go with his entree and a French Chardonnay to go with mine. I’ve never had French and it’s crisp and delicious. Highly recommend it to anyone.
All the dishes are beautifully prepared. Some tastes more perfect than others. Nevertheless, it's a fun place to eat, and Rich, our server, was wonderful!!

Fantastic Keller restaurant. Small atmosphere very good food. Had the short rib in a great sauce and the mussels in a butter broth. Both amazing.

Had a wonderful dining experience on Valentine’s Day. Food and service were amazing. My only “complaint” is that the booth seating was too close to each other, and you can’t even get out of your seat without pulling the table back to make room to slide out. Other than the intimate seating, we had a wonderful and satisfying meal. And the 2 delicious macarons to go was a delightful surprise to end our meal.
This was my first time having dinner here at Bouchon and I will say overall everything was great! The service and the food had amazing flavors. The only reason I’m giving it a 4 star is because the dinner space was a bit too tight to get around. When I walked to go to the bathroom it felt like I was going to hit everyone’s chairs just by walking through and it was a little too loud a little hard to hear my friends across the table. But other than that everything else was good!
A French inspired restaurant with full bar, indoor and outdoor seating with bar. Good variety of dishes, delicious and pricy with French portion. Service was too responsive 😃 like every 5 minutes a new person would check up on us! Good to combine with the pastries if you can afford the line! To me not different from other good croissants! Not into hype. Free public parking and advisable with flat entry.
came here for lunch of a weekend with a resy. disclaimer: i can only speak on the appetizers here. the escargot was very hot and buttery, came with a puff pastry that was a bit bland, the baguette was really fresh and hot though. onion soup very solid, the oysters were a bit unreasonably expensive per pop with a very mid cocktail sauce. tartar was good, but personally would’ve liked more of a kick. the $18 fries were fried well but really greasy with the truffle oil.

Went to Bouchon Bistro for lunch after doing a morning wine tasting. I made a reservation online a few weeks in advance and it was fairly wide open. My initial impression of the restaurant layout is that it is nice but small, they have to pull the table out to let you in since they are so close together. The day I went they had a few daily specials that sounded enticing, one being a gnudi pasta with black truffles and the other being beef bourguignon. We ended up trying both. The pasta had a good amount of truffles and the sauce flavor was good. The dish was relatively small but I kind of expected that. As for the beef it was very dry. This was not a one off as another member of my party noticed the same. I feel the main focus of this restaurant is based on presentation. While the dishes look great the flavors don’t justify the pricing. Bouchon is riding on the name of the owner and doesn’t live up to the online hype it has received. My recommendation. Don’t get sold on the celebrity chef name and try some of the other local options.

Bouchon Bistro: Where French Classics Shine in Yountville
There are some places that just feel right, and for me, Bouchon Bistro in Yountville is one of them. Nestled in the heart of wine country, this spot perfectly captures the essence of a classic French bistro, infused with that unmistakable touch of quality you’d expect from a Thomas Keller establishment. Step inside, and you're greeted by an atmosphere that feels intimate and lively without being overwhelming. It’s a smaller space, which lends itself to a cozy, convivial dining experience. You
