It was my first time here but when I travel I try coffee shops all over and I love it here. Little $5 egg tacos seem freshly made with avocado in them and eggs soooooo good. I tried the strawberry matcha (1/2 sweeet) and vanilla latte iced and the coffee was clean tasting and so good. So far my fav coffee place in the north Dallas area.
Not sure why this place has a low rating. The staff is very kind and attentive with ordering. Drinks come out very delicious and the hours they are open makes them a better option! Highly recommend thai location for some coffee.
Easily accessible by bike via Royalshire to and from Northaven Trail! The Matcha is perfect, and not syrupy sweet like most other places prepare it.
The best cup of coffee I've had!!! Seriously. Service was quick. It was a little crowded and I understand why. Everytime I visit the area I will be stopping here.
Convenient spot for a cozy, local coffee chain. Pretty packed with similarly business-oriented visitors on a recent trip, but decent indoor bench seating and outlets. Quick espresso service, and you get a free drink when you buy a bag of beans. Plenty of parking.
Great service on Friday morning! The workers are fast and really friendly. I got a large iced almond milk latte (7$), the Jess’s special taco (4.2$), and a strawberry pop tart. Total came out to around 17$. Taco was decent, enjoyed the strawberry pop tart compared to ones I’ve had at other coffee shops, and the coffee was excellent. My latte tasted strong, but not bitter. Great place to try. Looks like a good place for studying or to have a meeting. Not super loud and lots of seating. There is also outdoor seating with shade.
We absolutely love this coffee shop! Anytime we stop by it’s the most amazing experience. The staff, coffee, and vibe is always such a great time. We travel all the way from Frisco! Please build one up north merit 🙏🏽
These guys have some of the best drip coffee around. I like that they keep it fun and seasonal. Also enjoy all their specialty mixes. This location is right in line with all their other clean, open, well kept, and inviting spaces.

The best part of waking up is Merritt coffee in your cup -- can't believe Folgers had it all wrong all these years, ha! their Flora de Maiz signature blend is awesome
I come here often, like twice a week for the past two years or so. The new staff that they have recently hired are really friendly (much friendlier than some in the previous years)! The drinks are ALWAYS consistent, I rarely go anywhere else for a matcha because I don’t want to waste my money on something I may not like. The drinks are a bit pricey, I would go more often if it’s wasn’t $9 (cheaper if you don’t get a milk substitute but I do) but I know it will be exactly what I want each time so I don’t mind spending a little extra knowing that I’ll enjoy my sweet treat! I have tried many matcha places and this one truly is the best. I also appreciate that they have caffeine free hot and iced tea! You can’t find that at most coffee shops, definitely not iced at least!
I typically drop in and get amazing service, but the cashier today.. definitely seemed to be having a terrible morning! I order a matcha no sweeter but forgot to mention if it was hot or cold. When she asked the question which i preferred i spoke up and said iced. With a very sarcastic tone she was like I’m glad I asked! I didn’t mean to offended anyone, but a little more kindness, especially in the morning can go along way at a coffee shop! From the receipt it says Maryam was my cashier!

One of my favorite spots in Dallas to grab matcha! I recommend the strawberry, honey blossom, and berry cobbler flavors—they’re all amazing. Bonus points: 10/10 for all the cute dog photos and the dog bowl outside.
The drinks are great. Well made. If you come here you will leave with a good latte. A little pricey one, but a good one. The baristas are nice. It gets a little crowded at times but I had a great experience overall. The pastry game is pretty weak so if you’re hungry don’t come here.

The vanilla latte that I had was good, but cold so I had to have them warm it up a second time. Nothing special about the service, no welcome or hello, just what do you want to order... There's no complaints, it's just not anything special
More like a 3.9/5 The interior is quite small when compared to other merit locations. For some reason the day I went in it was really warm and stuffy inside like the AC was not really turned on. The barista who took my order was nice and was very patient with my questions. I would’ve asked to modify my drink more but I felt rushed and pressured because people had lined up behind me. I got a strawberry matcha and although it want the worst I got I also didn’t really love love it. The bathrooms were clean but mine was out of soap so I had to go to another one. One thing I love is how they have liquid honey and simple syrup on the bar so you can make your drink sweeter yourself.

Honestly bummed. I love Merit Coffee but this location has the most abysmal customer service. The coffee is great, but do not expect friendly employees.

Slightly disappointing. After stopping in for the first time a week ago and receiving an excellent cappuccino I decided to bring some friends. Still had an excellent cappuccino but the drip coffee was barely lukewarm and tasted slightly bitter and the coffee cake, even though heated, tasted stale and was overly hard. Dining in they still serve the pastries in baggies so the frosting stuck to the top of the bag and you couldn't really cut very easily because the bag slides around the table. Also, the available tables were all dirty so we had to clean our own even though it was not a busy time. Staff was friendly it so if I do go again it would be just for the cappuccino and it will be takeout.
Management this one’s for you: why is there only 2 people working? Any given day whether it’s a Wednesday before work or Sunday after noon, I’m waiting 25-30+ min for a single coffee. I use to come here often either alone or I’m bringing family and friends… now I’m looking for a new coffee spot. Help your operators out and get them some help I bet the attitude of your currently overwhelmed employees change as well.

If you want coffee, great. This place is great for a quick in and out experience. If you actually want to sit down and eat, go somewhere else. They take no responsibility for the Taco Deli tacos they serve. They forget to give you the basket items they offer and there isn't an apology uttered in the place.

Ordered a cortado and it was cold; the milk wasn’t properly steamed. The drink was so watery and lacked any visible milk foam. For a place that specializes in coffee, I was honestly surprised they even served it this way…especially at nearly $7. I really wanted to like this spot because of Merit’s reputation but this experience was very disappointing. As a coffee connoisseur this is not the standard I would expect from a place like this.
Nice cafe but completely shocked by the fact that not only is there little desire to protect the environment, but that customers are actually disincentivized to protect the environment… in 2025… Charged extra for non-dairy milk (most coffee chains have moved beyond that now), and charged extra for bringing my own cup? I have never seen that before. Ridiculous.
