Was in Rensselaer for the weekend for my son's play. Wanted to get pizza for the kids before the next show. This place answered the phone before they were open, took my large order, and stated how they needed to go make more fresh dough. All the kids loved the pizza, several kids as well as adults ask where I got the pizza because of how good it was. If I saw the place first, I would not have ordered from Nelson's but hidden gem. Thank you to the owner who talked about quality dough being made fresh every morning and nothing frozen. If you have a large order, call the night before.

First time I went here just today. I ordered a triaditional extra meat Cheese steak. Best cheese steak i've ever had literally. Can't be the prices here and the food is amazing I'm definitely coming back often! Must try this place!

No i don't have a favorite because everything I purchased has tasted good. I'm originally from Bronx NY and i moved up here 9 years ago and your pizza takes me back to the city pizza. This is why I always order from you guys and fast service never get my order wrong either friendly people. Ive tried the other local pizzerias but nope steak out is a perfect match to NYC pizza. Thank you guys keep up the great work.

Excellent food! They serve great NYC style pizza with most any topping you could typically get at a pizza place. Prices are extremely reasonable for an 8 inch traditional Philly cheese steak sub. They also offer a 12 inch for the extreamly hungry customer.The owners are very friendly and treat you like family here. They take pride in their restaurant and do their best to keep their customers happy. If you haven't Tried their food you are missing out on a great meal.

Great little hidden gem. I’ve driven buy it a hundred times and only recently stopped to check it out. Boy am I glad that I did! Now, so far I’ve only tried their General Tso’s boneless wings once, and those were pretty good as an appetizer, but what really blew my mind was my new favorite: the cheeseburger hero!! Oh hell yes! So good! I get it with lettuce, tomato, grilled onions and American cheese. My girlfriend likes hers with bbq sauce, I get mine with mayo and ketchup. Man is it good. I have only been a customer there now for a couple of weeks and I’ve already ordered I think four or five of their delicious subs. There people there are really cool and friendly too. Great little place! Keep up the delicious work!

So this is a home town jewel. Yes, you may see the owners kids or the Rensselaer Rams whole baseball team taking up the seats but I kinda like that, I come for take out and these are my neighbors kids. The food is quicker and cheaper than you could do at home, fresh hot and delicious. I do take out here several times a month. AT LEAST once a week I call for 25 of their amazing hot wings and or pizza or a double meat steak onion peppers and mushroom cheese hoagy sandwich. Thumbs up. I like to chose to buy from small family business, higher quality and flavor and its mom and pop! I like that. Pick it up your self or sit and soak up the home town flavor. They take credit cards. My son Maynard swears by their wings. ;)

If you’re happy with over paying for a child size serving of bar food then you’ve come to the right place! $40 dollars later (pre gratuity) for two orders of 5 chicken nugget sized “tenders” one (lArGe) order of fast food fries and a “Philly Cheese Steak” ordered as double meat and cheese only, no veggies. The real laughable part was when I went to take a bite of that much anticipated Philly, I found myself wondering if I was back in middle school about to starve through my lunch with a steak-um sandwich. There wasn’t even enough meat on the xtra long hot dog bun they call a “roll” the have meat in my mouth on the first bite. Of course I thought there had been some confusion between the person taking my order and the kitchen staff so I returned to request a review of this so called “Philly.” To my surprise there was no confusion, I was told, “It does look pathetic, doesn’t it? That’s what it looks like without the veggies.” No apology, no replacement, no refund. Therefore, I will not be back to relive my starvation. Do yourself a favor, pay for food elsewhere if you have any kind of appetite. Your wallet and stomach will thank you.

I can rattle a few and waste all of our time but I’ll make it short and sweet and say I walked in just now for a slice or two and got told “we’re only open a few more hours so we’re not gonna make the pie for slices”. I’m genuinely taken aback that I couldn’t walk into a pizza joint and couldn’t get a slice👎👎👎👎👎 the place is a total disgrace and lacks the basic tradition of what a pizzeria is supposed to be.

Pizza tasteless not much sauce ,mozzarella sticks burnt, raspberry sauce watered down, chicken wings packed poorly and rubbery. Would not order there again
