Food is cool. It's fried chicken. Lemonade is really good. Would come back from Santa Cruz just because Nydia is out here killing it with the customer service. My first visit, she was so friendly and inviting, even gave me a drink on the house since it was my first visit, I somehow got an extra chicken tender, I'm juiced. Great visit and superb service 🤌🏼🤌🏼
Great place for chicken! 🐔. We hit this place up once every couple of weekends. Usually lunch for us. I go with the Nashville Hotbird Sandwich and my wife gets the Chicken Chop salad. Nashville Hotbird has a little kick, but not overwhelming heat. The spice is more power based versus other Nashville Hot Chicken sandwiches that are more "wet". Chicken Chop salad is a good mix of greens, chicken, and crunch. Dressing it good enough to ask for extra. Truffle fries to round out the meal. Pretty darn consistent. I can't remember having a bad meal hear. Soda options are not standard, but a Craft brand, Alameda Point. They also have a variety of a couple ice tea and lemonade flavor in addition to the sodas. Have to mention, seems the menu changes frequently. Use to have Nashville Hot Tacos and then Viet inspired options. Nice to see to variety!
Portions are massive, and my husband and I can eat for under $25, which is pretty reasonable for around here. The only issue I have is how small the parking lot is. Chicken reminds me of the Chicken Selects McDonalds had in the 2000s but in the best way possible. Flavorful, juicy, and crispy. Fries are out of this world. Perfectly seasoned and deliciously salty. We will definitely be returning!
Spicy chicken is too artificially spicy. Tastes like chemicals. The parking lot is hilariously small. You can only really order online b/c the staff never visits the registers while busy. Great chicken, fast and cheap
Quick preparation, good service, and great tasting food.
Oct 16 2021 Haven't been here for awhile so I ordered at the kiosk and when it wouldn't process the order without my phone number, I gave up and walked out. I won't be back! A couple of years ago, I criticized Starbird with a really bad review. Online reviews got me to try again and I'm more than pleased with the result. I really can't explain my former review except it was what I felt at the time and I was embarrassed to read it and just deleted it. Just picked a salad tonight and it was first rate........like perfect.
Was lucky to get an invite to the soft opening. Everything about Starbird exceeded my expectations. The food was great. The service was great and so was the staff. I had a new item on the menu, a Cali Gold salad. First, the portion was more than I expected. The greens were fresh and crispy, included grapes, cherry tomatoes, bacon, corn and of course plenty of chicken that was very tender and juicy. My wife and son had chicken sandwiches. They were huge, crispy, tender and really juicy. All 3 of us agreed that we would back again, as in soon. I suspect this Starbird will be a fixture in Palo Alto. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed. Guaranteed.
Yes the chicken is delicious, we got the usual. Everyone knows how good the food is so I won't waste time there but I'd like to recognize Filly's (not sure if i'm spelling this right) work ethic. It's not common to see good work ethic and taking pride in one's job especially at a casual restaurant these days so I make sure to call it out when I see it. Filly was kind, worked multiple stations, and ensured the restaurant was clean all while it was super busy. To tell you how much this speaks to me, I go about twenty mins past the starbird that's walking distance from my house to go to this one because somehow the work ethic translates to the quality of food and how it actually tastes way better than the one right by my house . Nice work!
The tacos and salads are aaaaamazing. My fave is the Senior Baja Taco because the taco sauce is JUST like the one at Jack in the Box, so it reminds me of my teenagehood. Pretty sure my blood was made up of those tacos, and 7-11 slurpies back then. They also just released the Tokyo Katsu Taco, and that was awesome as well. Great flavor from the sauce, and the cucumbers add a nice fresh taste and crunch. I never leave there feeling unsatisfied... except for the time they told me tator tots were no longer available. I cried myself to sleep that night, and wrote a detailed letter to my lost love. Starbird corporate if you’re reading this (i know, i know, doubtful), please bring them back! Otherwise, great place for lunch if you like chicken. Park next door if you come during peak hours though, because the parking lot is about the size if a chicken house.
Best Starbird location! I hope they’re getting paid well! The evening crew are the best always happy so nice to the customers live across and dine here 2-3 times a week. The supervisor in the evening is the best, greets the customers and very attentive! I appreciate a restaurant w/ workers who care
We came on a Saturday and lucky there weren't a lot of people and there was no line. They also had 2 order kiosks. We got the truffle fries and the 8pc wings dry BBQ rub/buffalo I loved the buffalo flavor, not much for the dry BBQ rub. Chicken was good The truffle fries were 💣 freshly cooked and lots of garlic and nice truffle flavor. Amped it up with the truffle mayo. The sauces were super yummy and will definitely come back again. Highly recommend
Starbird sooo goood but still think it’s over priced!!! Eat star bird makes u turn into a starbird!!!!
Love this place! Long-time fan. Spontaneously pulled in when I saw it on El Camino, it was the second day it was open. Delicious, tender chicken that's great in all forms - tenders, sandwiches, toppers on salads, etc. Their breading is gluten-free so we can eat here with friends and families who need GF. Staff is always nice, service is quick.
Nice place to have a sandwich.. service was very good.
Just moved to the neighborhood, and this was the second place I tried. Ordered from a kiosk and food came out fairly quickly. Great drink selection. The staff was nice and kept themselves busy. The fries were outstanding. Perfectly salted for me, but if you like McDonald's you will want to ask for more. The Nashville hot sandwich flavor was excellent, and for the most part juicy (had 1 or 2 bites that were a little on the dry side). I wish the piece of chicken was just a tad bigger. It comes on a bolillo and there was a portion with no meat on it. Lastly, the place was super clean. When I was there there was an employee wiping all the chairs down, every single part, and all the counter surfaces were clean as well. Seems like they had a lot of online orders too. There was a study stream of people taking stuff to go. All in all, I would definitely recommend this place. I will be going back because I wanted to try a couple of the other things that they had there. Definitely want to try the wings, and the orange chicken sandwich. Definitely going to try the Nashville hot fries next time. Hope you enjoy this place like I did.
I frequent both this Starbird location and the one on Brokaw. This location though always has better bacon, chicken, etc. This location rocks and the service is always phenomenal.
Tried the Starbird sandwich and it was deliciously crispy. The kale slaw on the sandwich was the perfect balance. A friend compared this place to Chic-fil-a but I think Starbird is much better. However the fries were a bit salty for my taste and I think could use some improvement.. they were pretty meh compared to McDonald’s fries. Cons: I don’t really like how much packaging is involved when you get your food.. and there’s no recycling.
Food was pretty good, service was great, we were greeted right as we walked in but didn’t feel rushed. Music was a bit too loud for us(sensory thing) so we sat outside but all the tables were clean and in uniform order. Manager was kind, walked me through some steps on how to sign up through their website. Didn’t feel like I was asking for too much and that’s very appreciated. Thanks friends!
You could literally drive past this place and smell the amazing chicken, it could reel you back there. I sure reeled me back in! Easy ordering with their touchscreen checkout machines. Very clean inside and out! Cute benches outside to eat and drink. Parking lot is a little small, but worth the struggle to park! The salad I got was HUGE and was hard to finish, but was refreshing and delicious!
We love this place. Their Parm burger is out of the world. We love all the salads too. This is one of my families go to place. I think we order atleast 3 time a week from here. Cons : the chicken has lot of salt. Also order items with gorgonzola cheese at your own risk. I was vomiting for a whole day after I had a salad with it. Never ordered it again. All in all it's a decent place.
We are a frequent visitors of this place. The chicken is real chicken and not a mashed up version we generally get in other fast food restaurants. The chicken chop salad is our favorite. Other items which I highly recommend are the wings and tenders. Overall, this is one of the best quality chicken I have eaten at a fast food restaurant.
Fifth time coming to here. The food is always great, consistent and expeditious. Even when we ordered 29 orders for an event. Dining in and watching these guys team working together was awesome. It seems starbird got a great team and system. Prepping, assembling, expediting, cleaning their stations, and washer busting at a dizzying pace. Excellent food, excellent team, and their music to balance work harmony. Bravo to all. 👍👍👍🙏
Love the vegetarian options here! The vegetarian tenders were super tasty and I love all the sauce options. I had one of the salads with vegetarian tenders (Nashville hot). Plenty of protein and the vegetables were good quality. I was super happy with my meal!!
Got the Nashville hot chicken tenders and Nashville hot chicken tacos. Both we're excellent! The chicken was crispy on the outside and super tender on the inside. My only criticism would be the tacos are advertised as having pimento cheese and pictured as if it is smeared on one side of the tortilla. In fact it is an extremely miniscule dallop on the bottom center of each tortilla making it difficult to get a bite of everything together. Would be much better if done as pictured, smeared on one side of each tortilla so that every bite has it. Need one of these closer to San Francisco!!
Regularly eat the salad and the chicken sandwiches from Starbird. The quality is superior and justifies the higher price compared to other Fast Food chains.
I met the manager this morning at church and he kindly shared a coupon for the restaurant, so we decided to stop by and give it a try. I’m really glad we did. The food was honestly very good, fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. Service was friendly and welcoming, and you can tell the team takes pride in what they do. It’s always great to see local businesses connecting with the community, and even better when the food actually delivers.
Gluten free food that is actually delicious. It is our go to for fast food that is tasty and fresh. They have a wide range of flavor options and the only thing that let's you know it is fast food is how quickly it comes
The Tokyo Sesame Crunch Salad was the most delicious salad l've ever had in my 17 years of living. I would go eat here every day if I could. Every day I look forward to the chance of getting Starbird for lunch.
The salads are so fresh and delicious. And the price is great. The grilled chicken is much better than at other fast food chains.
Usually only go a few times a year to Starbird and did today for their new chicken tenders. Starbird is pretty solid always though, good consistency across their chains. Will say they aren't the most cost friendly but with their app its pretty good overall. Would recommend for their tenders.
I love this place! Whether just myself or catering an event, best and pretty healthy bang for my buck. Delicious flavors, amazing salads and I love their chicken nuggets and boneless wings.
Starbird has always been a favorite. The food looks great and tastes even better. And it feels like at least a couple of notches higher in quality than other popular fast food places. The prices are competitive and the menu is focused on fewer items. Recommended: any salad, any wings, classic tenders, Nashville HotBird, and even tater tots (part of a family combo).
UBER EATS/DELIVERY Review: I have not visited the restaurant, but I have ordered from here several times for delivery. It is one of our favorite places to get takeout. The food is good, but they are best known to us for their chicken sandwiches or chicken tacos. The standard fried chicken is okay too. The nashbird hot chicken sandwich is amazing! Especially the one that comes with honey. The bread is well made, not soggy, and the chicken is always crispy! My personal favorite item is the hot honey taco they serve. It's amazing. For one adult, you could probably order 2 to 3 of these if you're really hungry. Overall, much better than any of the other fried chicken places in Sunnyvale.
Honestly I have to admit that this is one of the best places to have fast food chicken in the Bay Area😍. I mean the quality of spices used on chicken is SOO flavorful and deliciously smacking. My husband and I ordered these items and everything was unique in its own way✨ ✅Nashville Hot + Pickle Ranch Wings($11.97 ) - Crispy French fries loaded with House-made Dill Pickle Ranch, green onions, Nashville spices. Loved these crispy fries and dipped in sauces tasted yumm. ✅Chicken Katsu Slad ($14.47) - Epic salad bowl filled with Fresh Shredded green cabbage, cucumber, edamame, red pickled daikon, crispy wonton strips, green onions, sesame seeds, katsu sauce, Creamy Ginger Dressing. My husband absolutely loved this. Quantity easily fills 2 people. ✅ Nashville Hot Tender Box ($15.97) - Hot Crispy Chicken Tenders served with super slaw, fries and Greek Yogurt Ranch. This is super crispy and definitely hot. Well cooked and not to forget about the Nashville hot spices that added even more flavor to this. ✅ Star B-Que Wings ($11.97) - Comes with BBQ Dry Rub Wings and Star Sauce. This is their new add on and turned out to be my top favorite item in the list. It was crunchy, spicy, perfectly flavored wings. I highly recommend trying out this one. ✅ Big Star Sandwich ($10.97) - This Sandwich was one of the most recommended items in their menu which is loaded with Crispy Chicken, sliced tomato, classic slaw, dill pickles, Star Sauce. This sandwich was SOO filling and well packed. ✅Passion fruit Lemonade: This was the best lemonade and I would rate 11/10 for this. Loved the sweet and tangy flavor of this drink. Overall we had a very satisfactory meal and I will definitely come back for more.
I happen to be in the area charging my car. Since I had about a 50 minute wait I decided to grab a bite to eat. This place was about a 7 minute walk from the charging station. The overall modern look and feel of the establishment is pretty cool and the food options are great: sandwiches, salads, tacos, wings! I grabbed the Mango Cashew Crunch Salad and it was delicious! It was fresh and prepared relatively quickly. I wish they had one of these in the Oakland - SF area because it would definitely be a go to for me.
Everything on the menu is great - the fries, the veggies, the buns, the pink lemonade. But Starbird really shines with its chicken tenders, sauces and salads. The chicken tenders here are better than Chick-fil-A, and the variety of veggies and sauces level up the experience even further. You can have a loaded fries-tender combo or a sandwich if you want to get the stuffed full feeling, but I'll get a Cali or Thai salad.
I've never heard of or seen a Starbird Chicken before, but we decided to stop in since it was new to us and we were curious to see how the food was. I got the chicken tender meal and it was delicious. The chicken was nice and hot, crispy, and tasty. I paired my meal with a lemonade which was super refreshing. Cute atmosphere and friendly staff. I'll definitely be going back for some tasty chicken!
I love this place, let me start by saying that if you like chicken tenders ☺️ this is the place to be. The chicken is so delicious and Krispy you will be coming back for sure. They have a variety of delicious sauces as well. Service is very fast they won't keep you waiting. The place is always clean and the staff is very friendly. My only complaint is that I always order a salad and everything seems to be cut in big pieces instead of being finely chopped. I will always eat here when I'm in town, you have to try their chicken wings.
I have read reviews on this place and drive past it a few times a week. I finally drove to their parking lot because I was curious. Went around 10:30 am and wasn't super hungry, so I got a kid's meal for about 5.50 ( I rounded the change up). It came with 2 housemade sauces, a side, 2 chicken stripes, and a drink. My order of sauces were yougurt ranch and buffalo and my side was the coleslaw made from kale ( I don't like kale, but loved this coleslaw) along with a lemonade. The chicken strips had a nice crispy coating with nice flavor. It wasn't overly salty like some places. The chicken was also moist and tender on the inside. I would definitely return for an adult sized sandwich. If the kid's meal impressed, I'm sure the big people food will as well. The young man that was at the counter that took my order was super informed and could answer most of my questions ( I threw in some curve balls). I was really impressed with his ability to answer all the questions and get the answers for the ones he could not. Great hiring as well, Starbird.
Skip the Tenders, Go for the Chicken Sando & Bone-In Wings! You won’t regret it. For wings, I highly recommend the Sweet Thai Chili or Nashville Hot—both are packed with flavor and just the right amount of kick. Now, if you’ve ever had authentic Cambodian “crack sauce,” you’re in for an absolute treat. Picture this: crack sauce soaked deep into those bone-in wings, leaving behind an imprint that’s as close to the original as you can get. The taste and aroma are like nothing else—totally next level
I love Chick Fil A. I see there is a new chicken place nearby. I figure I am hungry for some chicken, why not now. The place was easier parking that Chick Fil A. Clean place, friendly service and good chicken. They use a buzzer system and a billboard to let you know your food is ready. I got the grilled chicken sandwich and kid's tender box. Good food, will come on a Sunday when Chick Fil A is not opened.
The first bite of this chicken was eye opening. Can chicken be this tender and most? I thought chick-fil-A and Popeye was good but this is amazing. I had the spicy strip and the fries. The first time was awesome, fries was fresh and crispy. The second time was disappointed cause I was there near close and the fries was not crispy nor soft. The sandwich looks like a great deal as well. Come with crispy bacon and all. Things I noticed: 1. The place is not manage or train properly. The bathroom was messy, paper everywhere, actually I think it ran out of paper towel, toilet was dirty, sink was too. It reflects on management and staff training. 2. The plastic forks were out didn't refill at the counter and the garage was way overflow. Tables were not clean. As fast food, it's not cheap, so to compete with others like chick-fil-A or fried chicken stores, they need more incentive (coupon, weekly or monthly promo) or membership points system to encourage return costumer or frequent buyer. If it's not because of the condition of the restaurant and the time with the soggy fries (which also reflect management food flow control, it's tough, but replacing with a fresh fries can always do the trick), it's have to be a 5 star rating.
Came here since we were in the area. My gf ordered the big star sandwich. She said it was pretty good. She also had a side of fries which she said was just ok, and a mango iced tea which she said was very refreshing. I had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich, it was pretty good, but I wish I had checked the blazin option because there wasn't enough heat for me. My strawberry lemonade was delicious. All in all a good chicken sandwich spot.
Starbird is a good place to go for a fried chicken sandwich. The chicken itself is quite tasty. It's well seasoned and the breading is decent. It kind of tasted like the tenders were sitting there for a while because they weren't really crispy like I would expect. Their fries are a bit salty, but the other seasonings are done well. I wouldn't recommend the maple aioli - I thought it would be interesting, but it was kind of a sweet mess that wasn't good. As for sandwiches, you can't go wrong with the starbird sandwich. The bread is nice and soft so you can actually eat it, the slaw compliments the chicken nicely, and the avocado is... Okay. Overall I'd recommend because you can download their app and get some free stuff.
Total Score: 8.00 Bathroom: 2.5/5 What’s up with the floor. It’s giving those illusions where the objects move but they don’t. Made me dizzy while I pee. Dizzy makes me miss. Customer Service: N/A Was takeout restaurant Ambiance: 4.25/5 Very yellow, minimalistic, and simple. Very comfortable and clean to eat here. Food: 4.5/5 This is the best chicken ever. It was so juicy ugh and so crispy too. It is hard to get chicken right. Only complaint is fries could have a bit more seasoning. Coleslaw was very good and crunchy and the drinks were also very unique and healthy. Wow: 0.5/1 Idk why but it felt very moral eating here. I can feel myself having gotten more points to get into the good place’s heaven. Total Score = BR + CS + 2*AM + 5*FOOD + WOW
Hit the spot. Parking is a little tight. Not a fan of dry rub but really enjoyed the garlic flavored wings. Nashville is better than the blazin. Nashville hot reminds me of hot Cheetos. Service was fast food vibes. Not a long wait. Not too busy for a Saturday at 2pm. You get your monies worth with the salad! The chicken on the salad was really good and plentiful! I’m a wings girl and I wouldn’t say this is my favorite spot but definitely worth a stop in!
The Nashville chicken taco was amazing. We also tried the truffle aioli sandwich, it wasn't as great as expected. We've also tried boneless wings with flavours limon pepper and truffle. Lemon pepper was very sour, if you like sourness definitely try this. Their service was good. Would come back here again.
I ordered through Uber Eats. Surprisingly, it came quickly and the food was still warm. I got Hot Honey chicken sandwich and my family got Nashville Hotbird sandwich. I also got the Churros too. I was satisfied that my food was not salty and crispy. But my family said the Nashville wasn't spicy and it wasn't good. So it was a bit disappointing based on the pricing.
I ordered the Thai glazed tenders with fries on Friday 6/24. Something was off about the chicken, and I did not feel well after eating it. The Thai sauce was okay. They package your food into a box with the fries at the bottom covered with paper and the chicken on top. The fries were very soggy. Highlights are that the chicken batter seemed good quality and cooked with good technique. The side sauces taste house made which was nice. Overall I would not recommend eating here at least for the tenders or fries after my experience.
Ordered the Nashville Hot Three Tender Box to go. Big box with several chicken tenders and a ton of fries. They add a ton of whatever spice to both the chicken and the fries and came off a little strong, but it was still pretty good. Worth checking it at least once if you’re looking for this sort of food.
I went with "The outsider" sandwich. $7.50 It was really yummy but I was very disappointed with the size, really tiny for the price. My friend had the "Pollo Panchito Taco" for $3.50 and it was almost the same size as my sandwich. The design is really pretty and clean. I left Starbird still hungry because it didn't fill me at all. :/
Friendly service, but unfortunately inconsistent food quality. The sandwiches I've had there are generally tasty, but the salads are a mixed bag. The salad I recently had with grilled chicken was quite disappointing, with very dry, not-very-flavorful chicken, and soggy tortilla crisps (which absolutely should have been separated from the salad).
Overpriced compared to Popeyes or even Dave's Hot Chicken. The chicken sandwiches here start at $9.97 + tax with the so-called 'spicy' option "Nashville Hotbird" costing $10.97 + tax whereas at Popeyes you can get both mild and spicy sandwiches at $4.99 + tax. Double the cost for a lesser sandwich! 💸 I got the Nashville Hotbird Chicken sandwich. I even specified the "Make it Blazin" option, but it was not spicy at all. Popeyes is spicier. Dave's Hot Chicken's spiciest option (Reaper) is much spicier. The taste was decent but not justified given the exorbitant price. I also didn't like the restaurant seating and overall feel. Half the restaurant is a single long common table with cheap metal, wonky chairs. Only a few low quality 4 seater tables. Not enough parking for the number of customers there. Thinner chicken patty than Popeyes. Less spicy/tasty than Popeyes. Double (or more) the cost of Popeyes. Inconvenient parking and low restaurant seating quality. Can't say much about the other offerings such as the salads, but if you're coming here for the Chicken sandwiches, it is definitely not worth it given the other Chicken options on the same street (El Camino Real)
We ordered takeout from here because we were curious about how it tasted. The food was very okay in my opinion. Fries were good but not crispy. We got the Nashville chicken tenders and it tasted unseasoned but was a lot better with the star sauce. We also got the lemon pepper and sweet Thai chili wings. Both were decent but nothing special.
Their Nashville hot fries with melted cheese and hot sauce are really good! But couldn’t try the meat items since it didn’t say it was Halal. Update - tried their fake meat chicken burger. To be honest, it wasn’t good - the patty was dry, there was hardly any sauce and vegetables. Also it was not hot.
The food is good, but nothing to write home about. I think its way overpriced, and not worth it. For an $11 sandwich and nothing else it with it is a ripoff. Just my opinion, because at the end of the day, I can get more for about the same at a full service restaurant after you buy the $3.50 fries and a $2.00 drink. Give it a shot though, I am just one man.
Decent chicken tenders. However I would rather pick up a bag of dinosaur chicken nuggets any day than grab starbird tenders again. The chicken chop salad was delightful I must say, but I don’t think the container of dressing is enough to cover the entire salad. I docked a star because the interior design makes me uncomfortable and I hate being in the building.
We ordered pickup on Super Bowl Sunday (obviously a busy pickup day). Our order was wrong. No fries or slaw with the tenders, despite them being supposedly included. We also did not get the boneless Cali BBQ wings we ordered (we did a split 20 piece wings order with half this and half bone-in buffalo). We were given lemon garlic bone-in wings. Too lemony, and not what we ordered! Also, there is no option for a non-spicy BBQ sauce on the side. So, 2/3 of the items we ordered were wrong.
The star sauce is decent, thats the only positive thing about this place. The chicken is dryer than if you get it from Lucky. Nothing here is worth the price. I have no idea how this place got so many good reviews.
TL;DR: Take your chances. Inconsistent and declining quality and size of the Starbird Chicken Sandwich. I take a gamble every time I get Starbird’s signature sandwich. Sometimes it is juicy and delicious. Sometimes it is rubbery and inedible. Usually it is between snack-size and 3/4. Been waiting three years to receive a sandwich the size they show in all their marketing. Got close once. I tried to use a reward in the app, but accidentally tapped redeem early so I asked the cashier for help. He tapped on the reward from the list, which would have spent my points again, if I had even had enough points! He said, “Nope, you already redeemed it.” I said, “I tapped on it, but I did not really redeem it because it was not scanned. Are you saying I lost those points without scanning them?” Instead of answering, he started tapping rapidly on the register while looking at a tablet. He said, “Hang on, I need to get this order in.” I waited while he kept tapping and tapping. The order got to seven items and finally I said, “Are you really putting in a huge order right in the middle of talking to me?” He said, “We have to finish this DoorDash order before the driver comes or we will get in trouble.” I said, “You are getting in trouble with your customer standing right in front of you.” The two employees at the next register said, “We can help you over here as soon as we finish this (changing the cash register tray),” and, “We have to do those orders first or we will get in trouble.” Meanwhile, the cashier is still tapping out the big order for DoorDash. I understand that Starbird needs to offer delivery options to be competitive in this world. There must be a better way to implement this process than getting employees in trouble or alienating walk-in customers. When my pager buzzed to alert me that my order was ready, I walked up to the pick-up counter still holding the receipt and pager together as they were handed to me. As I was looking into the To-Go bag, the employee snatched my receipt out of my hand and tossed it in the trash, instead of taking the pager from me. She told me to put the pager in the basket and walked away to the kitchen, so I did not have a chance to ask for my receipt back. Without a receipt, I have neither the transaction details nor the name of the cashier. When I wrote to Starbird about this employee interaction, they apologized and informed me that they are working to improve on their service and system. That was April 2019 and I have not seen an improvement as of yet.
I absolutely love Starbird salads! First time visiting this location in person. (I only DoorDash from here.) We stood in a long line to order, smelling dirty moldy towel on the counters. When there were finally two more people in front of us, five people walked in on the other side of the isle and walked right up to a kiosk and counter to order. Come to find out we were in line to order at the kiosks and there were two of them. You can just go on the other side of the isle to cut in front of everyone and make another line. Why am I waiting in this long line if I could just cut in front of everyone on the empty side of the isle and make line #2? Why do the employees not see that there is a long line and offer to help them? We couldn’t stay after that. I was so upset! I will never go back to this location. I suggest they fix that two line issue!
It’s really disappointing when you find salad dressing mixed with water, I’ve been at this Starbird location at least 20 times and had the same exact salad which is my favorite and I know in fact how dressing tastes like when it’s not mixed. This is how you cut cost ? Really ? Shame, won’t be coming to this location anymore.
Update: If you send email to their service email, no one will reply back and you won’t get any response. Won’t buy anymore. Don’t believe their employees give items to you because they will give you wrong products, then blame you do not do your job well. Even I already showed them my order information including order number and name. Manager just said we do our job, and you do your job. You can go now. I have never met that worse attitude.
I like this store and their salad very much and ordered several times. But today I have a severe stomachache after eating their salad.
Came here because they advertise gluten free fried chicken. I asked the staff about the menu as I noticed that their chicken wings aren't marked as gluten free nor are their churros, but their chicken nuggets, tenders and fries are marked as gluten free. I have Celiac and depend on accurate information to make safe choices when eating as I can consume NO gluten whatsoever. Not even a crumb. The staff completely struggled through answering if they used a shared fryer or not. The fries are cooked in a shared fryer with churros. Cooking fries in the same fryer with the oil that has been used to cook churros is like claiming that cooking pasta in water used to boil shellfish is safe for people with a shellfish allergy. The staff member said if he had Celiac he wouldn't risk it. This same staff member said that they use a shared fryer but the chefs do something to make it gluten free, which is simply not possible unless they're changing the oil and scrubbing down the fryer between orders, which isn't a thing. Another staff member chimed in saying that they use a shared fryer for the wings and the tenders, but that it's okay because they cook the wings in the morning first. What? Not only would that guarantee that the oil is contaminated, they're precooking wings? Either this restaurant is falsely advertising gluten free items (people who can't consume aren't "friendly" to gluten) putting people who need to eat gluten free for medical reasons at serious risk of injury, or this restaurant has completely failed in training their staff how to explain their product and their safety protocols to customers. Either way, 1 star. Visited: October 2023
Where do I start? 5 min from house. Fries were ice cold. Tater Tots were cold and no better than Sonic or store bought Tots. Coleslaw too much vinegar and not sweet. Dipping sauces for 5 of us were so mixed up nobody knew which ones were who’s. Chicken strips were so greasy they were almost inedible. Look at the pic and you tell me. We paid $85.00 for garbage food. We wanted to like it but it was bad. Would NOT recommend this place for the life of me.
