Best coffee shop in NYC. Owned by a Nicaraguan they have specialty coffee from there. We had the home made horchata latte and it was amazing! Also the cheese scone. Beautiful place and super good service.
Best coffee I have tasted my entire life lol. I just love their coffee blend here and not to mention the aroma it brought. The place was really smelling so good. Will recruit more of my friends to come over to check this place out for sure.
This is place has delicious coffee from Nicaragua!! One of the best I have had. Loved the coffee they had on drip every morning; brought back a bag of beans that I am enjoying a lot.
I've been drinking Café Integral for a few years at their Chicago location. Now that I live in NYC, I popped in to their Elizabeth St location. The space is casual and bright. The owner, Cesar was behind the counter doing his thing. The coffee is always one of the best, full of flavor and character. Definitely a go to spot for the best coffee!
Integral has to be one of the best coffee shops in the city. Their menu is robust and the house specialties are all fantastic. Coffee enthusiasts belong here. Dan and Caleb are incredible baristas. You’re in good hands if they are working (not that you aren’t with the other baristas here). Would recommend Café Integral to anyone.
Cozy coffee shop in Nolita with delicious baked goods and Nicaraguan Beans. I tried the Horchata Latte and Orange Olive Oil muffin. Both were delicious and I typically dont eat muffins
Outstanding coffee beverages. I had one of the best macchiatos in my life. It was perfectly prepared with proper portions of coffee and milk along with beautiful barista art. My friend said his Cappuccino was top shelf. Service was very friendly and warm. Very relaxing atmosphere. The best cafe in the Little Italy and Chinatown area.
Can't believe I've never rated this place before. Best espresso, but like *actually*, in NYC. Never even near overroasted. They roast with love and care. Their drip is constantly changing. They have great matcha beverages too, retail options, other tasty non-alc cocktail concoctions, too! Nice snacks, too.
Stumbled across this cafe on my way to an early morning meeting. I had the daily brew coffee and it was excellent. No milk or sugar needed!! Their espresso cups on the machine look so refined that I will be back to try their espresso tomorrow morning. Bravo!
Oh man - stumbled upon this spot and I was so glad. They make their almond and coconut milk in-house & it was delicious. I got an almond iced latte and thought it was delicious - personally I like a stronger shot of espresso, it was delicious but I doubt a dark roast. I also wish they would give the option to add the honey or maple syrup in the cup with the espresso to help it ‘melt’.
On a sweltering afternoon in Chinatown, I found myself yearning for a refreshing cup of coffee to satisfy my midday caffeine craving. After checking Google Maps, I decided to try Café Integral. The young barista at the counter was attentive and promptly understood my request. To my delight, he expertly prepared a perfect iced macchiato, which I savored!
Bravo. Finally a real cappuccino. Why is it soooooo hard to find a real cappuccino in NYC. Most of the once we had is a caffe Latte. Expresso coffee with a lot of hot milk and a bit of foam on top. Integral got it right. Love it. Only one negative experience. There sidewalk was very dirty and full of broken 😞 glass. Hugs 🤗
The espresso is well dosed and thoughtfully sourced. Service is attentive and fast. The space is comfortable and accommodating. Overall Cafe Integral provides a lovely consistent cafe experience!
Dropped in on a Saturday morning to kill time before an appointment. There’s some indoor seating and a bench outside with the post-COVID street seating too. Their baked goods selection is great, from French pastries to even Brazilian cheese bread. My bf and I got pour over and it was divine. Service was great, and for anyone who drinks plant based milks…they make their own! I didn’t get to try but I’m sure they’re great. Also a fun plus for the Spanish mineral water
Get the café Dulcinea whole bean espresso! ❤️ Beautifully light and lively atmosphere with a great staff!!
Probably the best one yet in the neighborhood, especially they’re homemade almond milk is just so good! Anything for homemade stuff always down for it. I am always getting the ice Cortado, it kinda balance in between milk & espresso. Plus the ice just giving little less intensity. Highly recommended.
Top of the top. One of my favorites in the city. Coming from someone who's lived in NY over ten years and has visited 200+ coffee shops here. Much love ❤️
The best - and actually local - coffee spot in Nolita. We come here every week to relax and read or do work. The staff is excellent and always remembers our order. Coffee is delicious and you can buy bags of beans in the shop. Please support local family-run shops like Integral!!
Superb Nicaraguan coffee! I love how the origin taste is obvious not only in espresso but in milk drinks as well. I found this shop to be a staple of specialty coffee and will definitely come here again. I think the extraction level of their espresso could be a little higher (which I could also pick up on even through milk) but consistency between shots was amazing, so, I would still take it as is on any day!
Café Integral is a very cute coffee shop located in SoHo. We went there because we were waiting for the lineup at Egg Shop (I guess many tourists discover this place like this). The coffee was excellent: tasty and creamy. There's not a lot of room to sit but if you take your coffee to-go, I recommend going there.
This place lives up to the hype. The inside is a normal cafe layout — couch, couple stools, and tables. Prices aren’t outrageous either despite popularity ($5-$6ish for a drink, $4 for standard coffees/espresso mixes). I got The Olivia and the strength/taste combo was awesome. Reminds me of Cuban coffees. Love that this place uses Nicaraguan beans because most places use Brazil/columbian and that gets tiring quickly. Good change of pace if you’re trying to hit a lot of cafes.
Come here every time I visit NYC. Neat coffee shop, coffee is delicious, house made almond milk is so good! Small cozy shop, with good pastries too. Love this place!
Their drip coffee is simply superb (haven’t tried their other drinks.) I come here often. Very nice staff.
I ordered coffee and a kettle from them, their customer service was the best I've experienced in a while. The delivery took a bit longer than expected, but they added a handwritten note, communicated ETAs via email, and even added an extra product. Thank you, I'll order again from you!
Excellent Nicaraguan espresso. Croissants were again very good.
Hands down the best coffee in New York City, maybe even that I’ve ever had. Cesar Vega and his crew know what they are doing and there’s a reason that people who know coffee across the world know Cesar. Been drinking this coffee since the beginning and there’s truly no comparison.
I adore this coffee shop! First of all, the staff are all so kind, knowledgeable and welcoming. Second, their coffee is incredible! I love the horchata latte, the cold brew, and their house blend coffee is perfect as well. You can tell everything is house made with high quality ingredients. I recommend this to all my friends who are coffee lovers, you can taste the care and creativity in every drink!
Excellent coffee and excellent house made milk. It’s not the biggest of places but I found a spot (the last spot open) on a Saturday morning at 10am and then noticed it emptied out a bit within the next half hour after this. I got the nitro cold brew without ice and it was super super smooth. Delicious. I like it black but got the house made almond milk on the side to try it and this was amazing. It made me want to come back just to try the milk in a hot beverage. Five stars for coffee and milk. I can’t speak to the pastries but I think people around me were enjoying them. Four stars for service and atmosphere.
not in Little Italy all that often but when i am…i am going to make sure stop at Café Integral for coffee. had a great-tasting Americano to go back in March when it was cooooooold outside. the small coffee shop serves Nicaraguan coffee as well as some small bites. the coffee was served nice and hot…and was flavorful. the cafe is a small casual space with a few seating spaces. staff is not very chatty—kinda curt actually. but who needs banter or small talk when you have quality coffee to sip on!
I make it a point to stop by this cozy little café every time I'm in New York City. The coffee is consistently excellent, and their house-made almond milk is absolutely amazing. It’s a charming, intimate spot with a great selection of pastries. Truly one of my favorite places in the city!
Elegant, modern, and casual coffee shop with high quality specialty coffee from Nicaragua. They serve delicious coffees ranging from light to medium roasts. Love that they have a pourover option on the menu. Daily brew drip coffee was phenomenal: a fruity light roast with citrusy zest and chocolate undertones. You’ll want to get the coffee to stay: they serve the drinks in beautiful ceramic ware. Some variety of seating in the space. Drip coffee score: 4.75/5. Everything else score: 4/5. Overall score: 4.5/5.
I randomly stopped by Café Integral for some laptop work with a coffee and a pastry, and loved it! Nice and bright space with friendly staff, but most importantly, my black drip was strong and the danish delicious. Definitely check it out to support small, local independents! Bonus points on the Nicaraguan beans! 10/10 see ya soon :)
Cafe Integral offers a distinctly different taste to other coffee shops. The espresso blend has a mustiness despite maintaining good acidity. I liked it in the milk based blends but the Americano was a little too unique for me. The pourover is also delicious. I would skip most of the pastries.
Cozy cafe on the border of Nolita and Chinatown. I ordered and simple drip coffee with milk. Delicious, and not overpriced. I also got the fig danish from Balthazar. Super yummy. Was able to sit and do some work on my laptop, as well as enjoy people walk by out front.
This coffee is awsome! My favourite in NY, really delicious. Also, what I find even more fantastic from Café Integral is that the make their own plant based milk!!! Almond, coconut... I have tried here the capuccino and the latte in coconut milk. I tried also the decaf coffee and is awsome too. Even more awsome: they allow laptops and have wifi!!!
Walking in a hot muggy afternoon in China town and starting to wonder if I could find a decent cup of coffee for my afternoon shot of caffeine? Thanks to Google maps I decided to take a “shot” at Cafe Integral. The young man behind the counter patiently understood what I wanted and literally made a PERFECT iced macchiato which I truly enjoyed!
All my friends who are coffee snobs have talked about or recommended Café Integral to me. I'm more of a black coffee guy personally, so don't feel the need to go out of my way for a cup but in the same breath, I'm always down for a plot. I knew it was time to try it when my friend, who doesn't even drink coffee, was dying to go. He does have great taste in damn near everything though, I gotta give him that. That's why he is the big homie. We walked into Café Integral and I was shocked by the no frills environment. "No frills" is so overused, I hate myself for even writing that but that's really what it was. Boxes of Mexican Coke, togo cups, and other items necessary to run a business are scattered in the interior. For some reason, it adds to the charm. It's not dirty, it's just that they are utilizing the space to run a business. They are just here to make great coffee and don't care if the interior isn't ultra curated. I ordered a black coffee and a croissant, as I find these are the best 2 items to see what a coffee shop is really about. You can't hide anything. Things took a turn for the worst when I realized the croissant was from Balthazaar. The Balthazaar pastry fall off needs to be studied. C&B in Alphabet City still makes the best croissants in NYC, I don't even care. I do need to take responsibility though because I should have got the orange olive oil muffin instead of the croissant. It was speaking to my spirit, and I didn't listen. I bet it goes SO crazy. After stomaching the mid croissant because I'm a Croatian Warrior, the black coffee saved the day. I really can taste the difference between a good and bad black coffee at this point, and this one just tasted fresh. It made me happy. It warmed my soul. My buddy got "the Olivia" which consists of espresso, house made almond milk, cinnamon, and dates. It's also ironic because his ex-girlfrie... nvm. The house made almond milk was a huge selling point for him, which is kinda tight tbh. I tried the tiny little drink that was MAYBE 8oz, and it actually was sensational… I might get it next time when I come back for that orange olive oil muffin... IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov_reviews
This place is a must try for delicious Nicaraguan coffee. It is a true respite from the hustle and bustle of Chinatown. I got the daily brew with coconut milk and took an iced latte with almond milk to go for my friend. They have comfortable seating, and coffee beans and bottled cold brew for sale as well. I saw some gluten-free baked goods, too! No bathroom though, sadly.
Small hipster cafe located near Little Italy. Grabbed a matcha latte and had no complaints. Latte art was very well done. There are very few places to sit inside so you can expect to just grab and go.
This is the place for serious coffee lovers. Located in a cool part of the lower East Side, the cafe is frequented by interesting and creative people. The coffee varieties are of the fruity (floral) flavors. My preference is for less fruity more robust varieties.
Great if you enjoy strong coffee or espresso. They make their milk substitutes in house which is pretty awesome, guranteed fresh. Drinks are served in pretty glassware if you opt to have it “for here”. Limited seats and the some of the stools are small. Come here for the quality coffee, not to lounge.
This coffee shop has a great atmosphere and good coffee. I don't think it's the best quality brew in the area, but still a solid good choice. The barista did tell me that they were in between changing roasts during my last visit, so their selection was a little more limited than usual. I've now had a latte, espresso, and Americano from them and can say that the latte is my favorite. It's light and smooth, but still has a decent caffeine kick. The Americano wasn't as strong as I prefer.
I love this little Nicaraguan coffee shop. FYI, it is pricey! However, you’re getting coffee in soho so expect steep pricing. They are so nice inside, always taking the time to explain their menu options. Their homemade nut milks are out of this world creamy and flavorful. You’ll never want to have store bought almond milk again! If you’re staying there they will serve their coffees/lattes in a big mug for you to enjoy. We come here probably 1x a month simply bc we can not afford to spend $11 on 2 espresso drinks everyday. BUT if money wasn’t an issue, I’d be here EVERYDAY!!
Top notch coffee, Wifi, cute & calm space , and lovely service. I got a classic latte, but wanted to try everything! I like the selection of unique drinks offered, also they have a GF pastry that is a must. Will be back
Coffee: 4 Staff: 5 Environment: 4 Nice little coffee shop that also has locations in Freehand hotels in Chicago and LA (been to the Chicago one). Cappuccinos are delicious and staff greeted me immediately when I stepped into the shop. The space is decent for a small shop in lower Manhattan and has some outdoor seating too.
I got the Hause Horchata latte. It’s the most famous coffee there - so I have been told. Horchata is a house made mix of almond mild, with cashew, and some spices like cinnamon. As you can tell the stuff are very nice and professional, they give me all the detail informations. The only thing, I just simply didn’t like the coffee🤷🏻♀️. But that’s individual preferences. Overall cute spot!
Ironically, the best things at this café are everything but the coffee. The croissants are flakey and buttery, and with the ham and cheese it’s perfectly balanced and not greasy. The Brazilian cheese buns are addicting. The yuzu honey iced tea is amazing (with fresh critics peel mixed in!) but definitely need it with less ice (otherwise you only get two sips worth). But the coffee? Sour. Very sour. Black espresso was horrible, as was the black iced coffee. I’m definitely not a coffee snob, but I don’t think coffee is ever supposed to be that sour. I don’t know why anyone drinks coffee here, maybe nobody knows any better and the pretentious atmosphere convinces them “this is good, it’s ‘supposed’ to taste like this.” It’s not for me.
A proper espresso. Excellent flavor elevated by lovely here ware (ceramic and glass). Bright space, nice service, pleasant playlist. I wish the windows had been cleaned and the pastries fresher but the coffee is definitely a hit, although priced higher than average.
Café Integral in NYC delivers a refreshing take on the city’s coffee scene, offering a space that feels intimate and inviting. As soon as you walk in, there is a welcoming energy staff are genuinely passionate, happy to talk about their favorite beans, and always eager to make your coffee just right. The design is simple and unfussy, with a clean aesthetic and soft natural light that create a calm spot to relax or work. The heart of this café is its focus on Nicaraguan coffee, roasted with care to bring out nuanced flavors in every cup. Whether you go for an espresso, a pour-over, or a creamy latte, the attention to detail is evident and every drink tastes thoughtfully prepared. Their menu is streamlined to let the coffee shine, though there are a few light pastries and snacks that pair perfectly with your drink. Customers come for the quality but stay for the sense of community and warmth. Café Integral is ideal for catching up with a friend, getting some work done, or simply enjoying a peaceful moment away from the city buzz. This is a café you will want to revisit whenever you crave exceptional coffee and a friendly atmosphere.
I came here in the morning on a weekday to catch up with a coworker and it was cute. Their space is bright, clean, and there are tables and free wi-fi so you can get some work done here. Both my coworker and I got a pastry (a chocolate croissant and a ham croissant), and we also both got matchas. I thought the croissants were solid choices, but I wish they had more savory options. And, I thought that their matcha flavor wasn't very strong, so I was a bit disappointed. Overall, not a bad spot for catching up with friends or getting work done, but I thought that drinks were only okay.
The pineapple and cheese pastry was absolutely delicious! I usually come here for their iced tea, but they also offer a great selection of coffee. The space is quite small, so seating can be limited, but Elizabeth Street Garden is just a short walk away and makes for a lovely spot to enjoy your morning coffee.
Stopped by Café Integral after picking up our rental car near LaGuardia Airport. It was a cozy pit stop on our way to our Airbnb. I ordered a cortadito, and my brother-in-law had the daily brew hot drink. Both coffees were flavorful and well-prepared, showcasing their Nicaraguan beans. We also tried the Brazilian cheese bread, which was a delightful first for me—warm, cheesy, and satisfying. The café itself is small with limited seating, making it ideal for a quick coffee break rather than a lengthy stay. Prices are on the higher side, and portions are modest, but the quality of the coffee makes up for it. Overall, a great spot for coffee enthusiasts looking to experience Nicaraguan brews in a charming setting. Would recommend for a quick, quality coffee stop.
I love their coffee grind and get it either delivered or pick up home , however sadly they don’t have oat milk and I didn’t like their other options (coconut, almond, horchata ). Also no gluten free pastries so for me they’re only good for pick up coffee grind. No indoor / outdoor seating. Ps service is great .
They have great coffee. I can see the irony in rating a coffee shop 3/5 stars if it has great coffee, but I think we're at a point where the genre of "coffee shop" isn't judged solely on coffee quality. This place has great coffee, yes, but it's frankly a little difficult to relax here. Something about the layout makes this a 20 minute stop, maximum. For best results, get your good coffee, sip it, and then leave.
Excellent Nigerian coffee beans. Grisly service.
If loud industrial machinery left running for 15 minutes straight is your vibe, then this is your place ;)
When I step into a coffee shop, I want to feel warm and welcomed especially after being outside in 20 degree weather and rain. This place is not it. The moment I opened the door the vibe was off. People seemed stuck up? There was something in the air. The barista seemed like he didn’t want to be there, but he was courteous enough. Coffee - I ordered a flat white with oat milk and my husband got the espresso. It’s $6.00 for 6 oz, a hefty price for burned coffee if you ask me. The after taste leaves a hint of cocoa but the first sip has an overwhelmingly burnt flavor. I’ll be sticking to Italian coffee, because it seems like they over roast their coffee in Nicaragua? I don’t know but I do know this is not what good coffee tastes like.
Staff who didn’t acknowledge when I said hello, thank you or bye even when the store was empty. Good coffee, but the store felt slightly like a storeroom that needed cleaning. Somewhere you don’t want to linger
Listen. It’s a fine coffee shop but they tack on a 1.50 up charge for oat milk?! Are you kidding me? The vegan tax is already a problem and super f’ed up ethical issue but regardless I’m used to seeing 50 cent or 25 cent up charged… but 1.50?! Bonkers. Anyway i got the coffee and was in a rush but whatever… that was messed up.
Pourover was great and staff are friendly but there’s no heat here (ridiculous) - don’t come here in the winter! There are lots of cuter (and warmer) cafes in the area
