Went for a large group dinner. Not a single bad bite. Stand out bites included the Mouhamara, the Batata Harrah, Kousa, and the Knafeh Ashta. The Sheesh Barak is delicious. The sauce is incredible. I would have liked double the number of dumplings. Service was attentive and flexible with our ordering. She has great suggestions and helped with the portioning out.
Awesome place! I got some beef kibbeh and tabbouleh. My friend got the beet mutabal. The staff was extra friendly, polite and just simply amazing! The food was great. The restaurant is lovely inside and feels pretty spacious. All in all, great place from food to service. Oh and it’s also worth mentioning that the rule of the house is you pay up front with your order. Pretty good call as you can just up and leave when you’re done eating.
Loved the kusa, tasted exactly how my parents make it. Shish barak was also a highlight of the meal!
Honestly the best Lebanese restaurant! All dishes are excellent and service is top-notch. A slice of heaven to Lebanese expats who miss home and to anyone who appreciates Lebanese cuisine. The fattoush is the crispiest and the Shish Barak is a MUST. 10/10
My friends and I enjoyed a delicious lunch at Nabilah’s. We’re were looked after by Mona, who was a star! We almost had everything on the menu: Fatayer, Kibbeh, Mana’esh, Taboula, Fattoush, hummus and muhammara and topped it off with Knafeh and the bouza-like dessert. Honestly, can’t recommend this place enough 🤍🫶🏽 يعطيكم الف عافية
I lost count of the amount of "oh wows" and "omg's" exclaimed at the table that evening. Our favorite dish was the eggplant. The panko crumb topping gave it an additional flavorful crunch with every bite. Mesmerized by all the wonderful flavors, I closed my eyes and ate mindfully to make the most of the experience. Service was also fast and friendly. Five stars all around.
Definitely up there with the best dinners I’ve ever had.
Might be the most underrated restaurant in Brooklyn? NYT gave them 3 well deserved stars and you can still walk in and get a table. ALL the food is good. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu and there’s no skips
Food was so good! They were really organized and set up for success right from the get go. Smooth check out process and fast food prep. I took my order for take out. Great food and relaxed setting for dine in though. A must try!
Nabila’s was a memorable experience that brings together delicious food in a warm and welcoming scene. The variety of dishes was perfect for sharing and experiencing the whole canvas of Lebanese cooking. The staff was truly attentive. Well worth the trip from NJ!
Incredible. The staff was so accommodating and kind while I organized a last minute birthday dinner for my husband. Just like the service the food was above and beyond. If you want to treat yourself to some very special food this place is it. Thank you Nabilas for serving excellent Lebanese cuisine.
Ordered catering for dinner - food was incredible, full of flavor, staff were extremely communicative about menu items and prompt with timing. Will be coming back again certainly! Thank you Nabila’s
Wow! Beautiful restaurant, kind and attentive staff and the food was phenomenal! I got both types of kibbeh fattoush and knafeh
Love love love this place. Food is amazing, service is friendly, and it’s very unique. Used them to cater a few small events and they were timely, friendly, and easy to work with! Only heads up is the back room has a bit of an echo, so if you struggle to hear in loud places sit upfront or outside (which are both amazing!)
The food was delicious, stoppin here to grab some of their little meat pie pastries and ended up sitting with my partner and it was such a hearty experience. The lentil dish was my favorite it was delicious .. i normally dont like cold dishes bit it was so hearty amd the pomegranate on the top were so refreshing
Warm and inviting space with delicious lebanese dishes. A real taste of Lebanon in Brooklyn! Dishes are served from a large pan, family-style. beautiful ambiance. Great Lebanese wine list. Sambousik and Fatte dish were excellent vegetarian options.
Delicious food & service. There are two restaurants I would recommend for Lebanese food in NY - Nabila's is one of them. The menu is quite minimal but captures the high notes of Lebanese cooking. I wish I could say it's cheap but this is not a kebab shop! the quality of ingredients and attention to flavour is most like what you find in Lebanon (also the good design - not many people know that Beirut is a design capital with some seriously stylish restaurants).
Firs time there and told our server that I was celiac and she was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and which items to avoid! I've only ate here once, but left without any reactions! The food was delicious! Would definitely come back here for the rice hashwi and chicken. Wowwww. 😍
Go often and try everything on the menu. I have yet to find something I didn't enjoy. The food is delicious and truly one-of-a-kind. Big love
Very attentive, knowledgeable and welcoming staff. We had a great dinner here, food was delicious. Beef kibbeh were addicting and we had a great lentil dish and roast chicken. Look forward to coming back.
Absolutely delicious! It was my second time at Nabila’s. It’s all the comforting flavors you’d expect, plus unexpected presentation and new things to try. It felt like someone had cooked for people to come over to their home for dinner. Great wines too. If you like orange blossom water, pistachios, hummus, pine nuts, rose water, etc, go!!
I really liked Nabilas! I’m a huge fan of Mediterranean food, so Lebanese felt familiar to me but also exciting and new. So many interesting flavors and spices. Enjoyed every dish. Service and atmosphere were both solid.
This place has my favorite dish in the entire neighborhood (maybe of all time?!) - their stuffed zucchinis! I AM OBSESSED! WHY ARE THEY SO GOOD?! You can taste the love. My only complaint is they often sell out. I'd eat these 4-5x/week if I could. Also the garlic whipped sauce they serve with their chicken...omg, straight fire, so good. I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW YOU COULD DO THAT WITH GARLIC!!! I'm not a fan of the wines I've had and I don't care for their desserts, but when asked "what do you want for dinner?" the answer is ALWAYS Nabila's! Nice work, team!
Solid gorgeous Lebanese food. I grew up next door to a Lebanese family who liked to throw huge parties with tons of food. This is the spot. The food was fast, fresh and tasty. We ordered the hummus (creamy), Baba ghanoush, beef kibbeh, sfeeha which were all cooked perfectly, and also added a mezze plate of eggplant. Our main was the rice hashwi with chicken- delicious savory dish that would be a fave for the kids. A delightful discovery and addition to the neighborhood. The restaurant is great for a quick bite and also so pretty that it worked well for our date night.
Absolutely delicious, highly recommend. The food is innovative and flavorful and the vibes are cozy.
I love nabilas! The food is so good and tastes like very authentic Lebanese food. The servers are all so great, especially mouna and camilla . I enjoy my meal there every time I come. What a great experience😁 will definitely be coming more often. Highly recommend the pumpkin kibbeh, I’ve eaten it in lebanon but it’s even better at nabilas.
Cozy restaurant with tasty Lebanese cuisine! The Fattoush was the crispiest salad I’ve ever had!
Nice staff, nice ambiance, super good food. Pumpkin kibbeh and lamb and spinach stew were standouts.
Love love love Nabila’s. Strikes the perfect balance of upscale and casual while offering delicious dishes. The pita is so pillowy — try it with the baba ghanoush. There aren’t really misses on the menu!
Loved the gorgeous food and warm hospitality of Nabila's. We had the sambousik, fatayer, beef kibbe and mouhamara to start, followed by the eggplant, sheesh barak, and rice hashwi with chicken, and atayef ashta/atayef walnut for dessert. The flavors were so bright and complex, truly memorable and a notch above anything else we've had in a long time. The beautifully designed space was open to the summer evening breeze, adding to the experience. Wish we lived in Cobble Hill so we could go to Nabila's every week.
Current my favorite Lebanese restaurant in the country. Their appetizers and smaller dishes are perfection and they offer main courses your typical Lebanese mom would cook at home. 5 stars!
The food was spectacular and the service was great! Very kind staff (shout out to Tyler). Mike (owner) came up to us after for a quick chat and told us about the beautiful story behind the opening of his restaurant. Very excited to welcome Nabila’s to the neighborhood! I’ve had Lebanese food before, but not quite like this. Everything from the starters to the desert was *chefs kiss*. - Hummus and beet mutabal are a must to start! - Beef kibbeh is one of the best I’ve had in NYC. I grew up eating this at home and have been trying to find one just as good. I will definitely be back for these. - Sambousik was very tasty. Who knew mint and cheese paired so perfectly? Apparently Nabila did. - Sheesh Barak 😍. Never even heard of this but WOW was is DELICIOUS! - Rice hashwi & chicken has all the right flavors. Gorgeous combo of flavors! And for dessert… - Knafeh ashta is a MUST (if it doesn’t run out by then). Do yourself a favor and get this! - Atayef ashta was something I never thought I needed in my life until now. Wow. Just wow. Once again, welcome to the neighborhood Mike, and all the wonderful staff at Nabila’s!
If you’re looking for a great experience paired with delicious food, this is the place you need to be! The owner was so personable, the staff was so kind and attentive, the food was delicious, and the super show was SO fun for our large group! I highly recommend this place over all other restaurants I’ve gone to in Iguacu!
In my opinion, some of the best Lebanese food in the city. Not an extensive menu which is good because the focus put into every dish is apparent. Ordered the fattoush and was blown away at how every ingredient was packed with flavor yet it came together so perfectly. Highly recommend Nabila’s!
Offers home cooking with flavors that are unique compared to other Lebanese restaurants I've tried. We walked in on a Sunday night relatively early and were lucky to have a table from a party that didn't show up. The place filled up quickly. We particularly liked the vegetarian kibbeh, harak osbao, and eggplant mezzes which were all vegan. The fatayer was good just a bit too citrusy. Main course wise we tried the sheesh barak which was a bit heavy being a yogurt based dish. Didn't have room for dessert but the knafeh looked great!
this restaurant was pleasant with a modern bougie ambience, great for social gatherings, and feels spacious which is definite plus for me. had a combination of apps and entrees, definitely liked the baba ghannouj with the mouthfeel and savoury olive oil thats in it, and the sambousik string cheesy bite and beef kibbeh were faves, the sheesh barak meatball entree was good, along with the fatteh eggplant had a nice crunch and was eggplantey, and the lemonade was a real hit packed a punch. overall def recommend for a evening date night
The chicken and rice was fantastic, the hummus was incredibly smooth and flavorful, the sheesh barak was delicious too. I wasn’t too keen on the baba ghannouj, but the sambousek, fatayer, sfeeha, and beef kebbeh are must tries. We also got the special which was samke harra which was good but a too spicy. Huge shoutout to Mona for her outstanding service!
Came here for dinner with a friend on a Saturday night. The food was great! My favorite was the potatoes. I liked everything except for the dessert. Service was a bit meh, and we ended up waiting for a table even though we had a rezzy. Overall, it’s a great restaurant and I will be back.
Nabila’s main dishes are not the kebabs and other grilled meats which for many Lebanese diners are synonymous with eating out. Instead they are drawn from the home-kitchen repertoire. Nor are they broken down into components that can be coaxed into some dramatic pattern — interlocking lamb ribs in a neat triangle under squirted zigzags of sauce. Most of the food comes to the table looking the way it would if you had helped yourself from a platter with a serving spoon.
First time at this place and, wow! What a great experience! I booked the place through Resy, super easy and my table was ready when I arrived at the restaurant. We were two people and shared a few plates. We started with a dip- the Baba Ghannouj, which gets 5 starts. We also ordered one of each small bites. All were delicious but I highly recommend the Beef Kibbeh. For the entree we had the Yakhnet Sabanegh (lamb and spinach stew) and the Rice Hashwi & Chicken - these were amazing! I personally liked the lamb better but the rice and chicken were out of the box! I have to admit that we ordered too much food and could not finish the rice and chicken. We were full and did not have dessert.
Warm atmosphere with several sizing options to choose from (bite-size, small mezzes, entree). All of the items I tried were really flavorful (with all their components working together) and nicely spiced. The roast chicken main dish I selected was a quite healthy-size portion -- I couldn't quite finish it after eating all the small bites I had already ordered -- and was definitely worth the price. 🙂
A Lebanese Culinary Tease with Nabilas Our first experience with Nabilas, though slightly marred by an incomplete delivery, left us craving more of their Lebanese culinary mastery. The dishes we received, the lamb stew and the fattoush salad, were nothing short of spectacular, setting a new benchmark for our taste buds. The lamb stew was a revelation, richly flavored, tender, and cooked to perfection, embodying the essence of traditional Lebanese cuisine. The fattoush salad, with its fresh, crisp ingredients and zesty dressing, was a refreshing counterpart that completed the meal beautifully.Although there was a hiccup with our order—the roasted potato appetizer arrived without the potatoes—the accompanying sauce was so flavorful that it alone has us eager to give Nabilas another try. The minor disappointment of the missing items could not overshadow the quality of what we did receive. The allure of Nabilas extends beyond its food. The glimpses of its ambiance, romantic and elegant, promise a dining experience that's both atmospheric and inviting. We are keenly looking forward to visiting in person, not just to savor the complete array of their offerings, but also to soak in the vibe of their dining space.Despite the initial oversight, Nabilas has left an indelible impression on us, and we are wholeheartedly committed to returning. The taste of what we experienced, even in part, was enough to ensure that. Here's to the next visit, which, we hope, will be as mind-blowing as the flavors that have already captivated us. 🍲🥗✨
First off, the food here is above and beyond. All the dishes we had from the small bites to the chicken and rice was amazing. Lovely staff as well. However the bright lighting, counter service and overall “vibe” of the restaurant seemed a bit odd for a dinner reservation. Nice in its own way, I suppose, but paying $140 for two people to eat at what felt like a DIG INN threw us.
Food was authentic compared to many other Lebanese spots in NYC, and I like what the chef has tried to do, by creating an environment for many to enjoy Lebanese food with a vision for NY'ers. TBH Lebanese food doesn't need to be recreated just enjoyed as it is. The contents of the Shawarma sandwich were on point but wished it be a hot sandwich and not with cold/room temp bread. Besides this the appetizers were magic. Out of all the Lebanese spots in NY, this one, so far, sits on top of the food chain. Good job! 👍🏽
Modern version of traditional Lebanese food. The food was tasty although everything was spicy (too spicy) but the portions were more like appetizers than entrees and for the price it made them overpriced. Dishes that normally come with vermicelli rice came without anything just a thin layer of sauce and few pieces of meat on a plate. It was okay but can do better. The atmosphere in my opinion was sterile and cold but the service was lovely and made up for it.
Chicken rice was so good 5/5 Shish barak 4/5 Eggplant fatteh has too much tomato for my taste 2/5 Batata harra 3/5
Food was good and tasted fresh. The place was very nice and welcoming. Would go back.
I’ve been a few times now and always find the place so authentic. I love that everything is shareable. My favorite dish is the beef dumplings and using pita to eat the extra sauce. Last time I was there they didn’t have many NA options for drinks, not even hot or iced tea or lemonade. But I’m so glad they’re in the neighborhood.
Lebanese dinner at @nabilasbrooklyn ! The staff were pretty nice, and I really enjoyed the chicken rice with their flavorful garlic sauce. The batata harrah (fried potatoes) were also very new to me - crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Yummy! These were too much food for two people though…
We started with the mouhamara, beef kibbeh, and sfeeha. It was my first time trying both the beef kibbeh and sfeeha, I enjoyed both but liked beef kibbeh a bit more. While the mouhamara was enjoyable, it didn’t quite match what I was hoping for. For the entrées, we had the sheesh barak, yakhnet sabanegh, rice hashwi & chicken, and all of them were delicious and very tasty. Dessert was the only part that felt a bit underwhelming for me. The balouza wasn’t quite to my taste, and the knafeh could have been improved, though it was still nice to try, especially with the tea.
Everything here was good but the portions were tiny and it felt overpriced for what it was. No pictures unfortunately, but the portion of lamb stew was abysmal. Between 5 people we ordered 2 dips, an appetizer and 3 mains. Without drinks it would’ve been $50 pp for not being that full after. As I said it was all well cooked but not exceptional
We stumbled upon Nabila’s without knowing about the place and glad we decided to go in. We were able to get a seat inside since it was later in the evening which was nice because I’d say reservations might be necessary if you go during prime time. All of the food was delicious though the kibeh stood out the most to me. The staff was wonderful and the vibe inside was quaint. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for great food - definitely try to order a few small plates so you can try out multiple options.
Had been wanting to visit this place for a while. The staff were attentive staff and food arrived quickly. Unfortunately the food was underwhelming. Some interesting flavours if a little flat, but overpriced for pre-prepared food that is just plated up. Felt liking eating dinner at a lunch spot. Disappointed by the bread, firstly by the fact that you have to pay for extra pieces of pitta (you get 1 piece with a dip) and secondly it tastes shop-bought and was barely warm. Ultimately there are much better options for a similar cuisine in the same neighbourhood.
Comical experience to see the waitress sample on the food she brought to the table, I saw her eat from the potatoes she was bringing. The good thing is she seemed to like them better than I did. Food was alright but please feed your staff? Later in the meal I saw another waitress eat a full chicken breast just like that on a fork.. like can you do this maybe outside of where you serve people? Didn’t say anything to not embarass my friends but this place is a little strange and this was offputting. Wasn’t impressed to say the least.
The food was fine, nicely presented, but the flavors were nothing memorable. The prices are high considering that and the small portions. Service is extremely slow, inexplicably taking 50 minutes to get 4 plates to my table with food that was already made and on the display. I could give Nabila's 4 stars if they fixed the extreme waits.
food was absolutely wonderful, but the service was confusingly bad. not sure why there’s no hostess which makes for a confusing experience being seated. server did not even greet us, just walked up and asked “you ready?”. such a shame, I was really excited to try this place but won’t return due to the hostility.
Pretty disappointed— we had heard such great things about this spot so were super excited to try it. We ordered take out and the portions were laughable, about half the size we were seeing served on tables. And they had weird take out rules, like we couldn’t take out a slice of cake, it was for dine in customers only so it could remain on the display?? Food was tasty, just not worth the price for take out portions.
unfortunately my boyfriend has gotten food poisoning here. the lebanese wine was good, though
Beware its prepared foods at restaurant prices. The lamb dish must have 1-2oz of meat at most. They need to change their cleaning products as the restaurant reaked detergent when we had dinner (Sunday 10/12 night). Expect to pay $300 for 4pp. Overall very underwhelming.
This place was extremely overpriced for what we were served. $12 for a tall glass of ice with maybe 2 oz of liquid. $30 for a “fattoush” salad which consisted of lettuce, 4-5 grape tomatoes, maybe 10 very thin slices of cucumber. Traditional fattoush has a crispy element, this did not. $140 to leave still hungry doesn’t make sense. Skip this place - there are much better places that serve actual Lebanese food and not whatever mock up this was.
Came here based on a very positive review from a food influencer who covers a lot of BK restaurants. Was a Saturday but figured I could get a table at 5:30 without a res... after much hesitation, hostess agreed to seat me but was told I would have to be out by 6:30. I agreed but little did I know that 40 minutes later, I would be pressured to wrap it up. Two different waiters actually tried to give me the check before I was done. The vegetarian entree that day didn't appeal to me so I ended up with only the fattoush and batata dish... both were small and nothing special. I wanted to try their dessert so ordered the knafeh but had to take it to go since I was basically being kicked out... that turned out to be nothing special either. So with minimal food and 1 cocktail, I spent $75 and left hungry. Service was rude and unwelcoming.
We had the most unpleasant diner at this place. My partner is allergic to nuts, which he mentioned a few of times to the waitress. He ordered a few dishes from the menu marked as nut free and still developed a pretty severe allergic reaction. We later found out that one of dishes contained sumac, which is relative to cashew tree and generally advised to avoid for people with nut allergies. The staff poorly handled the situation. Overall sad service — we waited forever for drinks and entrees, and no one cared to take away dirty plates.
It’s ok. Some of the food is good- shout out to the fattoush salad and spinach and lamb dish. But the rest of it was, charitably, meh. I grew up eating Lebanese and Palestinian food. DO NOT GO HERE EXPECTING THAT EXPERIENCE. You will not get it. The majority of staff are a diverse bunch of hipsters who have no idea what they are serving. I called in advance to see if they had a particular dish and was explicitly told they did and they do not. The food reflects that hipster aesthetic. It is Lebanese food reimagined. Which is ok as a concept but don’t make me ‘taboulah’ with curly leaf parsley cut so large it’s practically a garden salad with no tomato. I can hear my Lebanese, Palestinian and Syrian aunties crying. Further the service was unfriendly, unwelcoming and clearly low key not interested in providing any and brought us the bill unprompted without asking if we wanted dessert. We did but we also didn’t want to stay where we were clearly not welcome. Never again. PS. Also super tired of default tips STARTING at 20%. No. 20% is for superlative service not subpar hipster attitude . Pay your d*mm people and stop relying on us to do it for you.
The food was decent, but unfortunately, the service was disappointing. Our waiter, a tall guy with tattoos, was unfriendly and rude. When we asked for his recommendations, he didn't provide any. We felt extremely rushed throughout our meal as he kept coming back to ask if we were ready for the check or if he could clean up. It was one of the worst service experiences I've had.
Overpriced, ordered three tiny appetizers one entre the bill was $109 outrageous There are way better middle eastern places to eat! Total rip off
Don’t put people on a waitlist if you don’t have a spot. And if you want people to stop waiting, don't pretend to feel sorry for them.
So disappointing! And expensive! The overpriced mains could barely pass as appetisers at a real Lebanese restaurant (for example, the three stuffed baby zucchinis of six tiny beef dumplings in a plate full of yoghurt). With so many great Middle Eastern options in the city (Al Badawi is literally just down the street!) you are better off spending your money elsewhere. Attached: the $17 “vermouth spritz” (before I even took a sip)… I know New York is crazy this is just straight up rude to the customer.
I came here yesterday to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday because of the glowing reviews on Instagram. Everything was quite nice but something incredibly unfortunate did happen towards the end of the meal which I am still honestly in shock about even though management and the team handled it well; I feel I still needed to address it in a review and just in disbelief it had happened and really disappointed since this restaurant seemed to be a hidden gem in the neighborhood especially since I live close by. Just incredibly saddening. Do better.
Nabila’s Lebanese Restaurant. A new addition to Court St restaurants scene. The place had some good write ups. Lebanon carries a special allure to me, my mom used to vacation there, describing it as the “Switzerland of the Middle East”. I had to try it. The place is designed like a cafeteria. You point your selection to the point guy, pay, get a number, display it on your table and wait. So I did, I waited, and waited and…. till I asked the manager if I should have ordered Breakfast instead. That helped. I got water. By the time I got the Hummus the pita was somewhat cold. As for the small plate of the hummus itself; while small indeed, it was obviously sitting there for a while developing a dry yellow crust on top. The “Large Plate” of the Sheesh Barak was interesting, but more so as an appetizer. At the end of the meal I was pretty hungry, so I went to a nearby Mediterranean restaurant for dinner. My experience with Mediterranean hospitality is that of an abundance and welcoming service. Unfortunately at Nabila’s I had neither.
