My husband and I went there for the first time Friday evening. From entering to leaving was never disappointed. The staff was very friendly and eager to help. It was AWESOME customer service. They never turned their backs on the customer. The food was VAERY fresh. Cooked just right. The staff kept rotating it just like they should. That says a lot for the management team. We spoke with Bobby (if I got his name right). Y'all keep up the great work. We will be back!!!!!
We were pleasantly surprised. If you liked Furr’s, you will like this. It was cleaner than my last few trips when it was Furr’s. Popcorn shrimp was the best. The kiddos thoroughly enjoyed the chicken nuggets. Chopped steak and au jus just like Furr’s.
They provide a wide variety of help-yourself food items, most of which is quite good. Everyone should find something they like. I especially enjoyed the salad bar, bread, and desserts. Service was excellent.
First time to visit, it's about the same as Furr's when it was open. Food is about all the same, which was good. Now as for service, our waiter, Justin, was beyond great. He was very polite, very courtious, and his attentiveness was astronomical. He checked on us, from a distance, always watching for things to make our dining experience a complete success. Our drinks were always filled, and or replaced, before they even were half empty. Our used plates were removed also in a quick manner as to not clutter our table. I watched him do this not only for our table, but for all the customers that he waited on. Justin you made our dining experience a great one. It was great to see a young man conduct himself in such a proactive, and productive manner....Justin, thank you for your service tonight. We will be back an we will be looking for you so we can sit in your section.
The food is pretty good, and they keep it hot and replace food that's been out for a while with fresh food. The servers are very friendly and the new owners made some decor for the place and it makes everything tie up well together.
We are glad this place opened up. Food was even better than the old furrs. I don’t understand the negative comments . Our kids even enjoyed it. As family of 5 the price was better than most places . Staff was friendly. Place seemed organized. Will definitely be back.
OMG I loved this place I had to go back twice!!! If you’re familiar with Furr’s family cafeteria style eating, this place has the same recipes. It’s a traditional buffet where you get what you want, but the food and service is really good!!!
Laura the supervisor was our waitress and she was extremely uplifting for my wife on a bad day and her service was exceptional!!! This is probably one of our only five places in Amarillo that we go back to because the food is great all the time and the atmosphere is always clean and friendly. The Salisbury steak is over the top and just an all-out great meal with the mushroom gravy!!!
Always great. Great variety very tasty and nice price
AYCE buffet with a wide variety of options, including salad, veggies, comfort food, desserts, etc. We were there on a Monday and they closed at 7:30 pm, which seemed very early, but they simply locked the doors and let us keep eating. So it was fine.
Every bit of the taste I miss from Furrs. The Salisbury steaks are life. Our server was very attentive as well. I will definitely be coming back with my family. 9/10
I don’t do buffets, the thought makes my stomach upset. I did try this one, it was actually amazing. The food was great and the service was perfect. They left you alone to eat but kept your drink filled when you went to get food.
Had chicken fried steak, and honestly wasn’t expecting too much…BUT…it was great!! The Texas toast was good, the green beans…even the sweet tea! Definitely will return!
The beef liver was amazing! The food is very good for a affordable price. This is my personal favorite place to take family and friends! Route 66 family buffet is a favorite choice every time we go out to eat. Definitely the best or one of the best restaurants in the area
I'm from Wisconsin here visiting my son. We've gone twice, and it's fast becoming my favorite place to eat. They have a huge variety of delicious, fresh food, extremely friendly staff, and an exceptionally clean restaurant. We love it here and will definitely be back! I'm so happy to have a quality buffet back in Amarillo.
I was very impressed!! Our first time here. The senior lunch price is wonderful. I was impressed with all the choices. Lots of salads. There are plenty of entree choices. Fish, beef, chicken. Tons of vegetables. And desserts, the millionare pie is the best. Plenty of choices
Conveniently located off the I-40 near shopping and hotels. Clean friendly family atmosphere with Route 66 decor captures the historic highway and sites along the famous route across America. Good home style food with a large variety of choices for everyone all ages, with familiar food and recipes we all grew up with. Like my favorite sirloin steak with mushroom gravy and country fried potatoes. I also enjoyed the teriyaki chicken with fried rice and crispy egg roll. If you are passing through stop in and enjoy a good home cooked meal with friendly hosts.
Went there for Thanksgiving. Very busy, but the service was prompt and friendly. They had a variety of food in addition to what you would expect on Thanksgiving. The sliced turkey and ham were quite good. The calorie information posted above most of the dishes was helpful. A solid choice for a buffet restaurant.
Located in the old Furrs location off of I-40 in Amarillo. This buffet offers many great and traditional dishes. The facility is clean and the service staff is friendly. If you leave hungry, it’s your own fault.
The food was great. Everything was fresh and tasted awesome. Plenty of variety from eggrolls, shrimp, macaronni, chicken fried and salisbury steak along with a good slad bar. Got a steak cooked just how I like it. Millionaire pie was INCREDIBLE! Its truly all you can eat….and we did! Table and plates were constantly cleared away. Mariah was awesome and did a great job!
We have been there many times and it is always great.
This buffet restaurant is actually the best restaurants in Amarillo. Even though price a little higher but well worth it, very kind waitresses fresh food always and clean.. Excellent!!
I have eaten here at least 8 times. The food is good, being all you can eat I love the variety and selection. Steaks are great and only a little over $2 extra. The service is top notch, the waitresses are amazing.
People complain about the dumbest things. No tray left. They never had trays. The cashier didn't smile. Really. Maybe she has a lot going on you know nothing about. The food is wonderful. The best fried chicken around. The choices are ample. The waitresses are very accommodating. The atmosphere is very pleasant. We eat here often.
I gave it a four on food and probably should of been a three. Don't get me wrong the food was okay about as good tasting as the old furrs cafe after they went buffet but wasn't nothing special to talk about. What I do like about the place is they have chicken fried steak and I love that with cream gravy. Its a little pricey but with todays prices they seem to keep it as low as possible.
Salad bar greens were fresh! Waitress checked on us frequently. We love being able to get food quickly. Great place to stop, especially if you don't have a lot of time. If you liked Furr's, you want to give Route 66 Family Buffet a try!
Fantastic prices and fabulous food! Good old home-cooked food and there's something for everyone.
Every time we have visited, the food was fresh and hot.And the service was great. The restaurant was also clean.
I don't know why people are so eager to complain. This place is good for what it is. The people are friendly. The food isn't 5 star but for a buffet it's exactly what I expected. The food was hot and they were constantly busy switching out trays for fresh food. The buffets and dining areas were clean and neat.
Great job for a buffet. There were dozens of offerings, salad bar was fresh and plentiful, veggies and main course offerings were tasty. I had Chicken Fried Steak with mashed potatoes and spicy creamed spinach. Desert offerings included a number of pies, cake, puddings, fruit, cobbler, & ice cream. We arrived at 1 and received the early bird discount. Close to the Amarillo medical complex
My second time there, very friendly staff, very professional and on their game. Food good typical buffet but tastes way better than Golden corral I thought
Hard to find a buffet anymore, but the food was yummy. The peach cobbler was especially delicious.
Some of the best buffet food I've had so far. Awesome 👍👍
Great food, great service. Took my tennis team there after their tournament finished. They got us in, gave us a great rate, and served us well. We'll be back!
Very good place to eat when ur really hungry...lol
My wife and l took my 90 yr old parents and the fact they couldn't use their canes and did not enjoy the visual of great food did not bother them at all. Dad's deaf and he never hears shit anyway.
It's great place to grab a buffet of southern dishes. I honestly don't understand the 3 stars from the other reviews. Stop setting standards so high. It's a buffet. The staff were nice and food quality is good. Stop nitpicking and support our local restaurants. That's why restaurants never last here.
Was a nice change, everything was a good as one would expect! Will go again
Sunday lunch was amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Maria who was assigned to our table made sure we never stayed with empty dishes or glasses on our table. She was very attentive and polite. The food was absolutely delicious will definitely be returning in the near future.
If you don't take the time to go to this restaurant, you are really missing a great meal!! Barbara and her staff fix authentic American comfort food a a VERY reasonable price! This restaurant has ample parking and is spotless inside and out!!! The staff is super friendly and takes care of all your needs while your their guest. Stop in for hand carved roast beef or ham and all the trimmings!! You won't be disappointed!!!
Such a friendly group of people that run Route 66 Family Buffet. Everything is very clean, the staff is attentive, brings out fresh food regularly, and there's a great selection of American-style fan favorites. It was nice to take a break from the road and stop somewhere affordable for my whole family. I love the fried chicken and the Route 66 sodas as well. Worth a visit.
This place is real home cooked flavor. Way better than golden coral. I love it. It’s now my 3rd time here and it has been very consistent.
Went for the inaugural Breakfast..now open Saturday and Sunday morning for breakfast. Very good. Nice variety. Very friendly. And even a senior price. Will be back
The food was amazing and the place was clean. I ll come back one day. Oh yes the kids cost at $2.99 - great deal!
Food selection was satisfying. Best chicken fried rice, hands down. The corn was so fresh. All the food was great. If I lived here, I would be back several times a week.
Great selection of food includes salad bar , Mexican food, grill steak, turkey breast also have dessert and good fried chicken and shrimp also grill fish. For the price paid and good, that’s great value. Entire restaurant was clean and staff has smiles also clean the plate well. Great place to stop when in town. Also a good stop if you are doing Route 66 trip.
Hey everyone! My fellow and I were trying to figure out where to grab breakfast ‘cause we had a long road ahead. Total rookies in Texas, no clue what we were walking into. The photos? Not helping. A couple of weird reviews from shady characters had us scratching our heads. But we were starving, so we threw caution to the wind and walked in. Oh man, thank Gods we did. The food spread? A thing of beauty. Now, we’re Russian, so we respect quality food, especially when it’s healthy. And boy, did they deliver. My fellow found everything he needed for his blood type diet, if you’re wondering—and I found exactly what I needed too. We’re all about good, wholesome eats, so Amarillo’s back on the map for us, no question. Big thanks to the crew for feeding us right and keeping our spirits up. You guys made our trip.
I sampled some ribs, blackened tilapia, a taco, sweet corn on the cob, mashed potatoes and cream gravy, mac n cheese, watermelon, grape and apple salad, pineapple and lime dessert and chocolate yogurt. It was all very delicious and I would definitely recommend this buffet to anyone with an appetite! Service was excellent and Justin did a great job of keeping the plates cleared and drinks refilled. I also enjoyed the Route 66 decor throughout the establishment.
It was crowded but there was not a long wait to be seated. The price was fair for food but I asked for a cup to go, since I ordered a fountain drink. The atmosphere was pleasant but the music seemed a little loud. The labels weren't very accurate but close enough to figure out what was available. I had chicken fried steak, Salisbury steak and tilapia which I enjoyed. My guests muttered that we should have eaten elsewhere but I would visit again, great for big groups.
We have eaten here a couple of times. The food has been fresh. I like that they have the kid bar with all the kid favorites. Thanksgiving day there were a couple of problems. The white rolls tasted bad. The turkey was served a sliver over a mound of dressing with a tiny bit of gravy on it. My brother in law said the dressing was so salty it was not edible. Holidays are hard! Lol. I enjoyed not cooking!!! Thanks to all the employees who worked that day.
Good but I did go into price shock,
I’m here for dinner. The food is hot, the floors and tables are clean, and the servers are very sweet. I will come here again but I will not eat off the cold premade salads bar. I need someone to teach the white-haired buffet attendant how to stir the salads for temp control and wipe as she goes. I tried four cold salads and they had ALL turned bad. Both broccoli salads, the crab salad (had not been stirred all day and had a nasty yellow glaze) and the coleslaw. I took spoonfuls just to try them, and none of them were good. As in food poisoning good. Please understand, I worked for years at a buffet place so I understand the importance of what I’m saying. Also, I understand the concept that food that doesn’t look appealing won’t need filled anytime soon. And that’s just lazy. Also, the bathroom was dirty. But I’ll forgive that since it was dinner rush.
This is the first visit to this establishment since changing names from the previous restaurant. The setting, atmosphere, and price of the meal are the same as the previous. Because of the non- existing inflation, we should all be used to the price difference (card payment have a usage/ convenience/ service fee). The old place had the eating utensils in roll-a-round container at end of the check/pay counter. Now the forks and knives are, at present, in a basket at the back of said counter. The cashier could have a better disposition, but she did greet us when we approached and did give us our eating utensils. I do not pay a tip before service. The waitress was friendly and smiling, she answered our questions and kept the table clean of dirty dishes. She did earn her tip. (The old place employees were hourly, to my understanding.) Route 66 is reasonable to other establishments.
I placed our flatware and drink order ticket on the table we chose and went to get my first plate of food, our drinks were on the table when I returned. The waitress was very polite and every time she passed the table she would ask if she could be of assistance.
This is an old Furrs cafeteria. Pretty much same set up. Less options, I was hoping they would keep the baked cod with that light breaded layer on top. Food is not hot. Luke warm. I think the taste is about the same as Furrs. Quick buffet. 18.00 per adult. Clean and Zac was really awesome.
This place is a clone of the original establishment that occupied the dwelling, Furr's. Food tasted well enough to eat and get full. This place has the World Famous Millionaire Pie that most people remember! Service was impeccable. My drink was always topped off, and the dirty dishes hauled away. The atmosphere was typical of a Friday evening. It was at probably 40% occupancy.
Hey this place is so good for a buffet you will get your money's worth here. The food is fresh and service is good they have plenty of waiters and waitresses so your glass never goes empty and try come by and get your dirty dishes pretty fast so they don't pile up. So if you are passing through Amarillo so and check this place out you won't be disappointed!!!!
Home cooking style, not much spice/flavor, just plain food, good selection, about what you'd expect for a buffet. Little pricey for the quality in my opinion.
3 of my kids got food poisoning from eating the Asian food
Some food overcooked, some undercooked. Food was bland. Waitress kept taking plates off the table, but did not offer to fill out drinks. $43 for two seniors at 11am. Way overpriced. Will not go back.
Need a little better selection of food. What was there was good. Add some bbq and better fish selections more veggies on the salad bar Desserts are excellent chicken fried steak is good
The 3.8 rating is generous. Cold food was warm, hot food was cold. Salad was baptized in water, salad fixings had been obviously frozen. Food was tasteless and not seasoned. Server was great though.
This was my first time eating at Route 66 Buffet, and overall, I would rate it 3 stars. The food gets a 3/5, the service a 4/5, and the atmosphere a 3/5. When I called to get a price, I was given one amount, but when we arrived, the experience was different. The young girl at the front, who I assume also answered the phone, didn’t have a welcoming attitude. She wasn’t rude, but she didn’t serve with a smile either. Additionally, the cost ended up being higher than quoted because she didn’t mention that paying with a card costs more than paying with cash. I feel this should have been disclosed over the phone. The food options were not as extensive as I expected for a buffet, and there were limited accommodations for dietary restrictions. I’m allergic to onions, and the entire Hispanic food section had onions in every dish. There were two sections for salads, one section for what I would call kids’ menu items like mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, and French fries, and a dessert section with cakes. Unfortunately, the ice cream machine was out of vanilla, which was disappointing since I only eat vanilla, but that’s just a personal preference. I felt limited to roast meat, mac and cheese, fried chicken, meat patties, and bread rolls. The waitress was very kind, which is why I rated the service 4/5. The atmosphere was nothing special, so I rated it 3/5 as expected.
Not too bad but definitely not as good as when it was furrs. When were in town, usually twice a month, We usually go to golden corral or furrs. Wanted to give these guys a try since they aquired it after furrs closed down. We won't be back. Going back to golden corral. Golden corral has a better, more items selections but has issues keeping food warm.
Went with Co-workers for our Christmas party on a Tuesday.....not crowded at all. Service was good. There are a few things that need improvement. The fried chicken and fried fish had thick batter and slightly overcooked hard crust. Roast beef needed seasoning. Dessert bar was sad along with the rolls overcooked. Mac & cheese was great. Chopped steak was delicious.would have been better with some white rice.Ham was super- delicious. Just need a little more variety. Please need more chocolate desserts
Disappointing buffet restaurant. Was so looking forward for it to be great. Some of the food on the buffet was cold and old. Not a great selections of food. Needed more choices. Atmosphere about the same as Furrs was. Friendly service. Was not croweded at all. Needs to greatly improve on their salad bar to complete with golden corral. Good selection of deserts.
An article I'd read had compared this place to Furr's Cafeteria, since it's in one of their old buildings. I thought it sounded like a great place to go. I wish it was still Furr's! The roast beef was dry and had no flavor. That was my all-time favorite to get from Furr's, along with mashed potatoes and brown gravy! This place, the potatoes were thin and spread across the plate, and the brown gravy wasn't even that good. What else wasn't up to par with Furr's? Their coleslaw! The flavor just wasn't there. It had pieces of darkened cabbage. Their cucumbers are sliced thick, so they had to be cut to bite-sized, but the seed parts looked like the verge of spoilage. The liver was dry, and the fiesta chicken was dry. What did I like? My youngest loved the kid station with spaghetti and pizza. I did enjoy the carved ham and the beef patties that are sitting in broth to keep them moist. Their salad with broccoli and cauliflower wasn't bad. Their self-serve ice cream has vanilla, chocolate, and swirl. Finally, although their fiesta chicken was dry, I did like the flavor of whatever they had on the top of it... until I bit into the hidden jalapeño piece. 😁 The best part of the experience was our waitress, Neysha. She was very friendly, kept our drinks filled, and cleared plates as we dined.
The food is okay. Maybe it's a coincidence, but every time we eat here, my wife gets sick within a few hours, and I get explosive diarrhea. But my 10 year old kids like the food, so we keep coming back.
First of all the price is ridiculous 52.00 for 2 buffets and 2 drinks, I was there on 1/20/23 (Saturday) at 6:30pm, was not busy at all. Most of the hot food was cold, or lukewarm, at best, some looked like it had been there since lunch. I know for a fact the food was not at the proper temperature. However I will give credit where it’s due, the restaurant was clean and the waitress was somewhat attentive. But very doubtful that I’ll go back.
Food was mediocre at best (Golden corral is better, even Furrs was better when they were here). I got there for lunch. Got the buffet and a water. Was charged for a regular drink. I strongly recommend going somewhere else then here. But worth the price!
Way overpriced for the offering. I ate dinner on a Saturday evening before the rush. No wait but the dinning room was about 80% full. $18.62 a person not including soft drinks(20.16 after tax). Food temps were all good with the exception of the chicken nugget, corn dog and beef ribs. The only entree protein of Brisket was overcooked and under seasoned. Fried fish was surprisingly good, hot and moist, same with the fries shrimp. There were mash potatoes and gravy at like 3 different stations to hide the fact they don't have enough dishes to fill the buffet. Cold dishes were decently prepared and properly pickled. Desserts were basic and notably mass produced. It was not a terrible meal but at the price point you would paid the same amount to eat at all you can eat premium Korean BBQ next door(for lunch). Service was courteous. Plenty of hosts but the dinning room staff seems to be overwhelmed with refills and clearing of tables. This would likely be a once and done establishment for me unless the price point is adjusted.
This could be a good place if the food was a little better. Pretty much everything was dry and flavorless. The selection was not great. $50 for two of us I’d expect maybe a sirloin steak or some peel and eat shrimp. There is a reason the neighboring restaurants are hopping and this had plenty of seating.
almost impossible to find clean dishes or utensils. you can watch the employees doing unsanitary things without even looking for it! the food was fine but very bland and flavorless. way too expensive for dirty dining..
They had 3 different types of fish. Catfish was fried great, really tasty. The other fried fish was fried fish we couldn't eat, fried way too much, very hard. The baked fish was slimy. Chicken fried steak was really good also. Food was ok, but nothing to write home about. Service was excellent, kept drinks filled and empty plates off the table.
Wait staff do nothing but buss tables. The labled peppered roast beef turned out to be processed turkey breast. Absolutely no smiles, or gratuitous gestures. They sat ALL the elderly in one section. I don't think we will go back.
Normally I wouldn't give it such a bad review, but first of all, I should have started with dessert, as it was the best thing on the whole buffet. I tried salad, first, but it's hard to eat a Ceasars salad with little to no dressing, and most of the lettuce had black spots everywhere. I quickly moved on to the meat. The liver would have been better if it weren't overcooked. Popcorn shrimp is really hard to mess up. French fries were cold, and I have to say, the Jalapeno cornbread wasn't too bad. A little sweet and a little heat, just the right combination. I just would like to see ample amount of food on the buffet tables, but they were running close to empty on several items. Not a pleasant look. Over all, I was not pleased with the service. I waited quite awhile to get a refill on my water. I would like to give this family buffet better reviews, but unless they make some changes, I think I might try somewhere else.
Most of the food tasted like pre-frozen then microwaved! I would not recommend this place.
So I seen a comment on quality and them responding they pride themselves on quality so why not try it. Well they do not pride quality. Roast beef dry like a desert and cold. Enchilada had a oven cleaner taste. And dinner roll was cold and had old oil taste on bottom. The good. Mashed potatoes creamy but Luke warm. Sweet slaw was okay. Corn bread muffin good texture and taste yummy but again cold. So I wonder. Does the staff temp check the food on buffet every hour to two hours as recommended? And do they rotate food off buffet ever 4 hours like recommeneded?? Big plus. Staff does bust butts in service area.
I have eaten in this restaurant several times and up till this past Wednesday 11/12/25 it had been really good. I hope that the owner reads this review since the food was really bad. The salad bars looked really good BUT the broccoli/colliflower salad was bad (spoiled). I told my waitress and she notified someone and it looked like it was changed out but it also looked like the remainder of the bad salad may have been put on top. The fried potatoes that are normally really good were really bland and had no seasoning. The whole meal was disappointing. Someone needs to keep a close watch on what is being served. Anna L
Great service! Food in general wasn't good to be honest. Very cleaned place. They need to work more with the meat "Roast beef" was super dry almost burn. The fried chicken was on point!
The senior meal with water for a drink at Sunday supper costs $16.55 plus tax. After paying there was no trays and no silverware. I walked all over the buffet to only find Spoons. I asked another customer and she told me the knives and forks were with the cashier. Why wasn't I given any then? The cocktail sauce has too much horseradish. The tartar sauce is mostly mayo with a little relish. The Mexican Taco salad had no meat in the dish . For all these reasons, I will never come back here.
Obviously it’s a buffet so nothings going to be “fresh” but everything we got was completely cold. Even the salad was disgusting… we will definitely not be returning. Almost $20 a person just to get cold food. Also, the servers were just sitting at the booth talking and on their phones. It was no where near being busy enough for us to not get refills. I wanted to like this place but was very disappointed.
$70 for 2 adults and a child. The food was cold and not a lot of choices, not worth the money. Go to Golden Corral for that price and get a lot more options and the food is hot. The lady told us they close at 8pm because they arent that busy and now we know why....Won't be back
First time here and honestly gotta say for a buffet wasn’t much a choice. Food was old, cold and very disappointing. Best thing about the place is they put more decorations then food
The service was great. Everything else was horrible. The food was so gross I did not like anything and I'm obese so I always find something. Me and my husband have opposite tastes in things and he was so angry that he wanted to ask for a refund but I told him we couldn't do that at a buffet. It taste like TV dinners or worse. I wouldn't have cared about it except it was 50 dollars and that didn't even include the tip and we both left disappointed. I advise only going there when you have extra money and are prepared to be disappointed so it's not as frustrating.
Stopped in here thinking we could enjoy a variety of things. Literally everything we tried was gross. I kept going back thinking maybe I just didn't get the good stuff... everything fried was hard. Every meat was tough and way overcooked. They had spaghetti, but no sauce. Mashed potatoes tasted like powder with nothing added to them. Popcorn shrimp hard and overcooked. Tartar sauce was sauce. Chicken fried steak was soggy. Corn was mushy. Definitely the worst buffet we've been to. And we're typically not picky people about food. We literally didn't even finish our meal and just left for somewhere else. Even if the food was good the prices were too high.
The rat traps and trash in the landscaping should have been a clue. Just happy we didn’t get food poisoning.
The service was rude and disrespectful but the food was great
Just don't. From the dirty dishes, rude staff yelling at each other, to the sour meat- just don't! I have over a million views on my Google reviews. I do not recommend this place at all. The best part was the mashed potatoes but who can get full on a plate of potatoes? Especially for 20.00! 12 and under is 11.00 but still not worth it. Save your money or head to a different place. (Not Golden Corral either.) I have pictures but there's not an option to post them. Well played Route 66. Wouldn't want the truth to get out there!
The price is way too much for the stuff that they're offering... Frozen pies put on the plate frozen to defrost bad preparation for the food just all around lazy... If you're going to pay 25 bucks a plate go to a really nice restaurant
Took my mother. On a Monday evening. The whole half of building was closed off. Had to sit on the left side only. I got water. The buffet was not wiped down good. Asked for enchiladas no less than 5 times and the ones brought out looked dry, no sauce on top. Older people on walkers and handicapped started coming in. About 10 couples and some older ladies with their adult children. I was squished in close to other tables. I always used napkins handling the spoons for serving my plate and mother's plate. The servers use the same utensils and don't put new ones out that are cleaned. Gravy and food on the serving buffet spoons handles. An older lady got in my face to speak walking by but never spoke. She was on a cane. Needless to say, it landed me a very bad bad cold with sore throat, hard to swallow, fever, diarrhea, and nausea with aches eating at this place. My mother got sick 2 days later from same symptoms, only lots of congestion. Both of us went to EMERGENCY URGENT CARE. I thought I would never get better after 5 days. Still sick. Sore throat almost gone but still have it. I will never eat here again Not clean utensils for serving the food plus the mexican food has no mexican seasoning and the taste is terrible on the mexican food. I just had to share. And you take a chance with your health eating a buffet. Scared to eat here again. Its where older people eat cheap and the restaurant serves food that looks like leftover from the weekend but noone knows for sure, my opinion. Not happy with the dishes at all. And got so so sick.
Foods no good don’t spend your money here. Arby’s is better than this shit.
I had The worst experience at this restaurant. Not enough variety of food . The Atmosphere is tense and very bad. Overall bad experience
Meh, not at all what I expected, unfortunately, from a Route 66 "Family" buffet. All out of whack... buffet tables way too close together, labels don't match the food, food categories all over the place too lol. The young host/cashier acted like we were a burden as soon as we walked in. Took a while, after we asked AGAIN, to get our drinks. Never bothered clearing the unedible plates of dirty food off the table. Some of the food tasted odd/weird and wound up in the restroom before making it out the door... and even after the exit/exiting... puked all over in the parking lot! GC is 10xs better
