Ok. We were from California. Since we started dating in 2010, my husband and I always go to Korean BBQ. We used to do it every week then lessened it to 2x a month. When we moved to Amarillo in 2020, we had to go to Lubbock just to eat KBBQ and it closed! Then, the closest one was in OKC, followed by the ones in Dallas. Review: I just wanna tell you that by far, this is the best KBBQ place we've ever been! Customer service was 11/10. Our server was very attentive ( I wish I could've gotten her name to give her a shoutout!) - there were 8 of us (4 adults and 4 kids) and she tended to our every whim and need! Food choices were great. In our experience, there was no limit on the egg pot (stew) and soup orders; 4 plates of meat/table/order (we had 2 tables) and of course unlimited sides AND appetizers - popcorn chicken and takoyaki! Yo!!! For Keto peeps, just get the lettuce to make wraps in lieu of steamed rice or fried rice. Ok but best bang for your buck, come on a weekday between Monday to Friday BEFORE 3pm. The price per person is $20 (that's lunch price). If you come after 3pm, the price goes to $30/person (dinner price). If you come on a weekend - Saturday and Sunday, all day dinner price. Drinks are $2.99 and special drinks are $3.99 and my hubby said, it's free beer right now (don't know until when.) We went today, Saturday, on its Grand Opening at 11am. The place is big. I think there's 3 rooms.

Went for lunch and the experience was great! It was fun cooking our own food at the table. All you can eat for under $20 and a great variety!

The food and service was superb! There were less options for lunch than anticipated, but the food was great nonetheless. Everything tasted fresh; definitely recommend the shrimp and bulgogi.

Most of the reviews are bad but they are not true we ordered a lot of food and could barely finish cause it fills you up so fast. Very kind workers! They teach you how to do things around. Every.single.bite.was.amazing! They are also really fast.

The service and food were excellent. And the fact that its a two hour unlimited buffet is worth the cost. The whole experience was novel and enjoyable especially the cooking style with the grill in the table. Loved it over all just wish they had had Barqs root beer.

Delicious K-Bbq! The food and service is great! Our favorite food to grill is the calamari steak. It's gone as soon as it's done cooking! Give it a try! Another dish to try is tteokbokki (ask for spicy rice cakes) the sauce goes well with the BBQ too! Don't forget steamed rice and leaf lettuce to wrap the bbq in with some rice...its so delicious!

I've been to a ton of Korean BBQ places and was super exited to hear that Amarillo was getting one. Let me tell you, they did NOT disappoint. The food was amazing and if you've never been to a Korean BBQ place before they'll teach you how it works. Also the KPop music was on point 👌

Food was great service was great but you definitely want to pace yourself and order little at a time because you run out of space on your table due to so many plates of different food coming out. Party room sits 12 per table but it a tight fit.

Hands down without question, the BEST place to get unlimited korean bbq and sushi. Atmosphere was gorgeous, staff was amazing and friendly, always checked up on me and my family, food was superb. Definitely a must go if your craving some bbq and sushi. Strongly recommended. The experience is well worth more than what you are paying for.

We went for my husbands birthday. It was nothing short of amazing. The food was fresh and flavorful. Our server was helpful and funny. He taught us how to use chopsticks correctly and when he found out he was my husbands birthday he went out of his way- gave us a birthday gift certificate for a future visit, brought out a cheesecake and sang happy birthday. It was an excellent experience.

Came here with my daughter while on a trip to Amarillo. The fried rice is excellent. Cooking at our table was such a fun experience and if you don’t like the food is cooked there’s nobody to blame but yourself…. 🫡🙏🫣

This place was great.i took May family here and they loved it. Would definitely come back again. The food was great quality and the atmosphere was even better. And it's really affordable, Paid 50$ for 2 adults and 1 kid plus a the beer that had.

Update: Finally had a chance to try the dine-in experience. We went during lunch on a Tuesday while they have the buy one, get one half off special. It's already a great deal at $19.99, so the BOGO really makes it a steal. Service was friendly and attentive throughout, and our waiter made great suggestions from the menu. We ended up trying two types of sushi roll, a number of appetizers, and we did beef bulgogi, garlic, pork, the pork belly, green chili beef, spicy calamari, Hawaiian steak and shrimp. It was beyond filling and everything tasted great. It honestly would have all been worth it at the full dinner price. Volcano is a highly recommend from me. Excited to finally have AYCE KBBQ in Amarillo. I haven't had the chance to do dine-in yet, but did get take-out. I had the garlic pork belly and beef bulgogi with japchae and steamed rice, plus all sides. For about $15 this is a great deal and the food is seasoned well. Look forward to updating with a dine-in experience, but to go is definitely worth it. Highly recommend.

Truly such an amazing find in Amarillob It’s unlimited appetizers, soups, veggies, sides, meat (chicken, seafood, pork, beef) AND unlimited sushi for 20-30 dollars depending if you come for lunch or dinner. They also have some good sake and soju to enjoy with your meal and the waiters are extremely friendly and mindful of when you need another round of orders! Such a good price for this deal!

Oh this place absolutely whips. My wife and I were in Amarillo for a memorial service and we built up a powerful grief hunger. Thankfully, Volcano Korean BBQ was just .9 miles away. We had never done the Korean BBQ thing before, and the staff was super helpful, explaining that there is a big frying pan embedded in your table and you drop raw meat and veg into it. The meats come seasoned perfectly and honestly anyone can cook on the tabletop if they've ever cooked in their life literally once. The waitstaff was super friendly. The food was amazing. The sake was affordable and went well with the overall atmosphere. Don't miss this one. I'd honestly drive the 4 hours again to come to Amarillo and have Volcano again. 5/5

It is an all you can eat. You have to order the items while cooking. The atmosphere is a little dark and hard to review menu, but I enjoyed my over all visit. Dinner is expensive but it is an all you can eat meat. 30$ per adult and 15$ per child

My fiancé and ate here on Friday to try to get out chance at the newest place in town. The concept of the Korean BBQ where you cook your own food is new to me and something not available in Lubbock. We were allowed to have a choice of 4 meats between the two of us. We chose Hawaiian steak, Cajun Calamari Streak, Spicy Chicken Bulgogi and a Samgyubsil. Overall the food was really good and the staff very friendly and helpful with making sure you haven’t burnt your food and assisting you in anything you need. The food is definitely worth the price as well as the experience with your family. But beware of the Spicy Chicken Bulgogi. It is very spicy and if you like spicy and think you can handle anything, it’ll definitely be worth the challenge. I recommend anyone passing through town or interested in good food and a great experience at a restaurant that is different than all the rest to definitely come to Volcano.

A very unique experience where you are able to cook your own meat! Loved it! The food was delicious & the servers were great!

Went for my nieces birthday, the man who was our waiter went above and beyond to give us a great service , he was very attentive and had excellent customer service, the food is made by you but you get so many great options to pick from. This was one of the best experiences in a restaurant I ever had. He also gave my niece a slice of cake for her birthday and sang with us , and gave her a gift card . Super impressed with everything . 10 out of 10.

Great service! We got there during soft opening, the wait was long but understandable. The waiter was great, they also gave us free beer! The food was ok, I’m foodie so I like authentic food. This place should be Asian fusion BBQ rather than “Korean” BBQ. I hope they can change their BBQ toward to “Korean” as advertising. We will be back for sure because of the service!

I'd give 100 stars on Service if I could! Simon was our main waiter, and he was FABULOUS!!! Eating here was a wonderful experience! Between the 2 of us we ate 6 different meats, bulgogi, pork belly, ribs, calamari steak, Cajun shrimp, brisket. We were STUFFED after that! So, by all means come here hungry!!! Cooking our own meal was enjoyable! Since you don't have time to be on your phone, you have much more time for face to face conversations. Brilliant idea! I think this is a franchise, but I only have a couple of suggestions which might not be possible. I'd like to see more sauces to dip meat in. If the shrimp was peeled it would have more of the full flavor of the spices. But honestly folks, you're missing a real pleasurable eating experience if you don't try this place! Well CERTAINLY be back! There's so many more things I want to try! Oh, and the kimchi was the best I've had....well, except for what I got while living in Korea. Go folks! What are you waiting for! Edited review after 8 months: I stand corrected, I had the best experience in my second visit, everything was on point, Green Chili Beef still the bomb, jalapeno sushi was amazing, calamari steak, and NY steak were delicious (even for an asian like me who love flavor town in every dish). One small thing I would suggest, to streamline with the restaurant theme (korean), subs Chow Mien (chinese noodle) with Japchae (korean noodle).

This place was amazing! My husband has been dying to go because he has spent time in Korea. I did not care either way but I'm so glad we finally went. The food was wonderful and so many different flavors of soju were just great. The experience was new for me and it was a lot of fun. My husband cooked all of our meat and I ate SO much sushi, DELICIOUS! I definitely want to go back another time.

I love coming here with my friends! It's always our go to restaurant. Sometimes the service is a bit slow or forgetful, even during non busy hours. I could probably eat 3 plates of meat instead of 2 but usually they only come by often enough for me to order 2. But that's not to big of a deal, I might just start ordering two meats at a time. My other complaint is y'all should play more boy group K-Pop! (Besides just BTS.) :)

Excellent and fun. There are many items to cook at your table. Chicken, pork, fish, vegetables. Some are marinated and others are left for you to marinate. When you're done cooking your food they remove the cooking plate and give you a clean one to cook on. I saw people cleaning all the time. There is alcohol here, sake and beer. I'm sure lots of menus have been posted. The sushi was just as good as the barbecue. The restaurant itself was very clean. Everyone here is very helpful if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask Plenty of parking in the front and in the back.

Our first time here, and I was super impressed! Great atmosphere, clean environment, great fresh food, but also our server was AMAZING. I don't say that lightly. I have experience as a waitress, and I'm always gauging service when visiting other places. Our server was Lawrence, and he is by far; I think the best server we have ever had anywhere we have ever eaten. No exaggeration. He was friendly, down to earth, helpful, and really just went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. We had never been to a place like this, and he helped us through everything (food recommendations, cooking process, ect,). Additionally, you could see him working hard to keep his section clean throughout the evening. That guy would be such a valued team member to have in any business he works for. As newbies from out of state, we had a great experience here and also really enjoyed trying some new foods! Also, I wanted to add that when I was trying to figure out where to eat (driving through from out of state), I had called to get more information. Whoever I spoke with on the phone was also very friendly and helpful. They answered all my questions and were very informative and polite. Place is really good for ammo's first Korean barbecue. All you can eat. The sushi is also a plus Foodwids, a really good had wide variety of meats. The rice was not dry. It was perfectly moist. Our waiter was really helpful , making sure we were okay I always made sure our hot plate was clean and not very cluttered. Dessert was worth doing the review. I will leave that as a secret for you to try.

First, you get all the appetizers, sushi rolls and Korean BBQ meat(raw) you want to consume, but not to take with you as left overs. I lean towards spicy and those raw meats are already marinated and ready to grill, and they are delicious! The sushi rolls are more of an American fare, not true Japanese, but the ones we sampled are tasty as well. Just beware that some come in bigger servings. I don't like to waste, but we kinda ordered too much and I'm feeling a little guilty about it. Our server is a very friendly gentleman. It's our first time here and he made sure we understand how it works and that we are comfortable with what we are ordering. The best advice I can give? Come on Tuesdays, your wallet will thank you, and you can thank me later. By the way, the pictures I took don't do justice because we are so busy grilling and having fun, we forgot to take more pictures. Hahaha.

Fantastic every time! We've come here twice already and plan to come again and again. People may balk at the price initially but for the amount of food you can get, it's a bargain. EVERYTHING is all you can eat (barring drinks and dessert). Appetizers, sushi rolls, soups & salads, veggies & sides, and meats all are all-you-can-eat. The service has been excellent, with attentive servers and quick turn-around on our food ordered. I highly recommend the salmon skin salad, and the garlic shrimp, and my husband recommends the spicy beef bulgogi (thinly sliced korean marinaded beef) and the black dragon sushi roll. If you decide to be healthy and order some veggies, order them first as they take the longest to cook (and ask for extra butter for the grill every time they bring something, it drains off fast) All-in-all, it's a fun and delicious time, family friendly, and a great conversation starter with couples

Some of the BEST Korean BBQ I've ever had. The meat just has this nice fresh quality about it compared to others I've been to. Also the atmosphere is fun and trendy. It's sort of club like the way it looks...low lights with neon blue lights. The place is pretty big too. I've never had a very long weight which is a plus. Every waiter I've ever had here is very nice and very helpful especially if it's your first time they'll get you started on what is popular and delicious. You get a 2 hour limit which is enough to stuff yourself with plenty of meat. Family friendly and group friendly and super fun!

My husband and I went for a Valentine's Day lunch. We rarely eat out so this was a fancy outing. We love the food here! However, we got a call during the meal concerning a family emergency and had to jump up, pay the ticket, and run out. It wasn't until later that we noticed they overcharged us by $30. That was definitely disappointing.

Personally, I think the way meat is seasoned is good. The spicy ones was very spicy for me compared to other korean bbq I’ve been to. I dont recommend fried chicken and gyoza because it’s not really crispy and taste like frozen food from the grocery stores. Also, I wished they had sesame oil sauce that other korean bbq has. I feel like that would go better with the meats. Regarding the service, our waiter was very nice and friendly. However, he rushed us cooking the meat. We specifically told him that we can cook it ourselves but he always come back and does it. Sometimes the meat is still not cook or atleast not cook to our taste but he just take it off and rush to put other meats in. I know we have two hour limit but I don’t think we need to be rush in this way. I’ve been to a lot of korean bbq in the past when I go to bigger cities and this is the first time having such a rush experience. But maybe it’s cause soft opening so they have a lot of people waiting?

Drove 5 hours for a bday party here and the food was top tier. Pricing was a bit much but the service and atmosphere were exceptional! I would recommend going here!

It was a great time! We had a party of 7 and the service was outstanding! They updated their menu since the last time I was there and went in for the lunch menu this time. The lunch menu has limited selection, but it still has a great variety. We will definitely go back!

My husband and I really enjoy eating here. The grill on each table makes it fun to cook your own meats and vegetables. They have a large range of meats, vegetables, sushi rolls, sashimi, and delicious sides. They have gluten free options which is important for people with Celiac Disease like myself. There are better sushi places in Amarillo but we go mainly for the "grill your own" dinner experience. The wait staff is great!

There are local Korean BBQ’s where they do it right and have a hot grill and trained, talented chefs to cook in front of you. Those are a far superior experience and won’t make you sick. If you’re on a weight loss program and want to go fast though, salmonella can help you on your journey so give this place a shot!

After months of waiting, we finally got to try this place out. It's an awesome experience! The staff was great and courteous. Maybe I did something wrong, undercooked the food, etc... but I got quite sick after eating here. The food was great, tasted delicious. There are too many negative reviews for people who don't understand what KBBQ is and how it's run. This is a first of its type here in Amarillo. Of course, people don't understand how it works. I will try it again sometime after things have settled down and the growing pains have subsided. I noticed I was charged dinner price instead of lunch, I'm not quite sure why. We had lunch there at 11:25 on Friday. My surprise when I got the bill.

I wanna say, the customer service could be alot better. Most of the waitresses have a bad attitude. I've had them roll their eyes at me, and just straight up ruin my experience there. Last few times I hope I get someone who can at least smile and ask if I need something. And a side note, sometimes they don't dress appropriately. I should not see inappropriate dress wear at this restaurant from the waitresses. please reevaluate your waiters and waitresses... Other than that this could be a great dining place..

Was excited to experience Korean BBQ for the first time. Was conveniently located next to our hotel and the reviews looked good. Atmosphere is welcoming with a dark vibe with led lights and modern feel. Food is decent nothing special, wasn’t impressed with the volcano fried chicken ( frozen nuggets with spicy mayo). The gyoza was left under the warmer to the point it was hard to bite thru. Get the white rice over the fried because it has an overpowering taste of oil/grease. Fun experience cooking your meats/ veggies. Could see a risk of cross contamination if you aren’t familiar and using same utensils for handling raw and cooked meats. Our grill was dirty when we started it up so we cleaned it ourselves with the butter they provide and napkins. Our waiter seen this but did nothing. We got the all you can eat so for the price can’t complain much. Garlic chicken was the most flavorful out of everything. Won’t be back. Hostess was very nice but waiter was unpleasant.

I'll start out by saying the food is very good. The atmosphere is very novel. The bathrooms are clean, but the service is terrible. My waitress continued to misunderstand me, didn't fully explain anything, and then I ended up ordering more food than I was prepared to eat. She insisted I pay at the end when I wanted to sit at my table to enjoy the cool air inside before I left. She said I had stayed too long and they needed the table. 😕 I was able to forgive the miscommunication, but not this. As a business owner, you never want to make your customer feel unwanted, and that's exactly what she did. She made me feel like they needed the table more than they needed me to come back. Great food quality, but you're paying $30.00 plus tax per adult for the buffet for dinner. For lunch, $20.00 and children are half the price of the adult price. Food quality doesn't matter so much when the service is awful. I'm not saying here is awful. All I'm saying is MY EXPERIENCE HERE was awful. They charge too much per person, especially on Sundays. The experience is novel, so I tried it. That's because you cook your own food in front of you on the table. With that said, I wish I had gone to Lin's Grand Buffet next door. At least I wouldn't have paid so much or been rushed out the door. I'm trying to be fair to the restaurant, but ultimately, bad service can be the dead fly that's in your creme brulee. Everything else can be amazing except that one thing that ruins everything else. I hope this is an isolated experience, but I can't say since this is my first and last time here.

Believe all the bad reviews. We didn’t, and regret spending so much money on poor quality food and terrible customer service. Our waiter was an older asian lady and she was not very friendly. She asked for our kids ages and we told her and she proceeded to keep asking (as if they were not their ages) and made a comment as to why my younger daughter was (bigger) than my oldest daughter. It was our first time so we had questions on how the menu worked and she was very impatient with us not very helpful or nice. Cross contamination is very easy so be careful. She made us very uncomfortable.

UPDATE: THEY POISONED MY WIFE WITH ROOM TEMP LETTUCE OR SUSHI. SHE WAS THROWING UP OVER AND OVER EVERY 5 MINUTES FOR A DAY. THE MOST HORRIFIC AND VIOLENT I HAVE EVER SEEN IN ALL OF MY DAYS. I will never be back. We both work as restaurant managers we know how to cook our flipping food right 0/10 food now. Boss can shove it for not keeping stuff prepared right 10/10 food. 10/10 presentation. 2billion/10 service. Will NO LONGER be recommending to every single person I know

There's a reason why the menu has no prices. $100 for three people, no alcohol. The process is confusing. Our waiter kept repeating "choose your own meat and vegetables" without offering any clarity on pricing. So, I ordered only a side of edenami. It's a lot to pay for DIY cooking and NO leftovers. My friend wasn't pleased with the sushi--it was made with stuff from a tube. The atmosphere will drown you in K-pop. The servers loomed over us in an obvious way. This place was a mistake--an expensive one.

Midnight Ranger

I didn’t like any of the food really , the menu item are labeled like v1 ,b1 ,p1 ,c1 , all ends in the sound “eee” so commonly they hear the wrong selection and bring me the wrong thing . The lady at reception is sooooo nice but the waiter guy was so rude and grumpy . They have this tan sauce they use for everything salad, corn, sushi, dipping sauce for the fried chicken. It’s really a terrible sauce..
