This cafe is the best one I have ever been to! Me and my boyfriend usually stop in once a week to grab some bubble tea. The entire staff is extremely friendly and hardworking.

I love their cold fruit tea, I have never had dine in experience here. After the pandemic this will be my bucket list. I have ordered online so many times during pandemic.

This was my first bubble tea experience in Buffalo back in 2010 I think and it was amazing. Still amazing today. Great tea and great atmosphere.

Absolutely the best bubble tea available in the area. The possible flavor combinations are over whelming and endless. If anyone loves tea this is an absolute must on the bucket list. They also have bursting Boba, an interesting experience no one should go without.

They have bubble tea!!!!! If you like coconut, do yourself a favor and order the "crack" tea. You won't be disappointed. They have one of the best variety of flavors and boba. We hit them up every time we're visiting in Buffalo.

I’m obsessed and have been since high school haha. You can’t go wrong with any flavor combination here! My go to is pineapple, mango, honey fruit tea smoothie with no tapioca and pomegranate bursting. INCREDIBLE!

I believe this is my third time updating my review! But it's been about a year since my last one and I wanted to share that besides the coffee- vomit smell lingering around when you walk in ~ this place is fantastic! I recommend coming with friends, it's right up the street from UB North Campus, and is very popular with the college students! (I'm not sure if they have a student discount, it'd be worth asking next time though!) It can get a bit busy but I've never had to wait longer than 10 minutes at their busiest, and they tend to make the drinks pretty quickly. Top notch service. Friendly atmosphere! Next time I'll be checking out the little Chinese place next door called "The Library" after getting my boba. ** Also you can't be the price on the boba. Its $0.25 for (1) additional scoop of tapioca pearls. They also have "bursting bobas" which are slightly smaller!

Can't get enough of it! One of my favorite to go to places, it has a great atmosphere, nice staff and inexpensive prices. The cup is really big it usually takes me long time to finish it lol, which i like ( it gives more time to enjoy the flavor!).

I'm a lot older then the average clientele 48 to be exact. Me and my girlfriend went into tea leaf and tried it. A lady in line and the gentlemen cashing us out helped us on how to order. The tea was nothing I expected it was awesome . It was worth the wait and I can not stop thinking about it. YUMMY!

This might be some of the best Bubble Tea I've had in the area. At first I was a bit put off, because I had originally had Bubble Milk Tea in Taiwan (it's Country of origin) so when I go to a store and see countless flavors and not just a simple "original" I assume it's been over Americanized. I got the Red Bean flavor and I was shocked how good it was it, I'll definitely be back again.

The bubble tea tastes really good, but little on the pricy side. Service is quick and nice tho.

The bubble tea was really good, and they even have exploding bubbles there which have fruit juice in them and pop in your mouth kind of like gushers. The service was fast and the guy working was knowledgeable and friendly, explained anything we had questions about. Best bubble tea in the area! Don't forget your "punch card" every time you come so u can buy 10 to get 1 free.

All around this place is a must go. The tea is to die for, the staff is pleasant, the drinks are inexpensive, the place is trendy, and the soothing tea aroma makes you feel relaxed and overall makes it feel authentic. I would definitely reccomend this to anyone, including vegetarians and vegans because those groups are easily accommodated on the menu. Since it's so inexpensive and even vegans are accommodated for, this is the PERFECT place to bring a large group. Service is also very quick, so even if there's a long line, it will move fast.

I was in Buffalo for a friends wedding and my husband and I decided to stop in and try Tea Leaf Cafe. I heard a girl in front of me order the taro milk tea and asked her if it was good and she recommended it to me. I got it and it was absolutely delicious!! Some of the best boba I’ve ever had!

A bit pricey bubble tea, but delicious! The honeydew bubble tea was fantastic! Don't get the rainbow jellies - those aren't good. The normal tapioca bubbles are yummy. I also had some pot stickers that were cooked to order. Very delicious and the sauce they had was great. Only took 5-10 minutes max to get the food. Great location for a walk from UB on a nice day

Love it, great place to go if you want a calm and quiet place late at night. I tried cold taro bubble tea and it was great. I was most struck by how knowledgable the the staff was about ingredients of their products and dietary restrictions in general. I was satisfied to believe that their bubble tea is halal(my subjective judgement). They also confirmed that their bubble teas are vegetarian. All in all, give a try and you will not be disappointed.

My sister and I went here today and I’m definitely hooked and coming back. We walk in and the place is clean, cute, and tidy. I go to order tea and there’s so many options that look so good. The lady that attended me was friendly, answered all my questions, and let me take my time as I ordered. I got an iced peach bubble tea, which was delicious. The green tea in my drink was strong and paired well with the peach. I’m an avid tea drinker & usually Starbucks green tea tastes watered down, this one definitely wasn’t. They have a bookshelf, which I thought was so cool since I don’t see that in a lot of cafes today. We had a great view of the snow today because there’s so much natural light with those big windows. Overall 10/10 experience , definitely coming back .

The bubble tea here was so good!!! The menu had so many different flavors and it all was so clean and nice. The interior was very inviting and the AC felt great. I was visiting from Florida and decided to have taro as usual with blueberry boba and they did not disappoint!

My teenage daughter got me hooked on Tea Leaf. I never knew how much I would like boba. My usual: green tea (pineapple and pomegranate) with pomegranate boba. I double up on the boba because those little bursts give me joy. I however do not like the tapioca. They're chewy to me. My daughter likes the tapioca though.

Been coming here since I was a student at UB a few years ago. Now I live in Amherst and this is my go to bubble tea spot! Their teas are so good!! They have their own reward card system which I love also! The cakes are great also! My favorite is the carrot cake! You’ll love it even if you don’t usually like carrot cake! Ordered the chicken before- it wasn’t that great. Too hard/chewy. But yeah teas and desserts is deff the way to go here!

I never have a bad time here; I will sometimes come here with company and spend a few hours chatting. I used to only get fruit tea but ventured into milk tea recently and always receive good flavor suggestions from the staff. And on the off chance I don't like it, they are very nice about remaking me something I do like. They were out of earl grey for the milk tea the other day and it made me sad, but doesn't affect my love for this place!

It's my favorite bubble tea place in the area, great flavors and quick service, but a lot of times they rush and the cup comes out sticky.

My favorite boba place in buffalo before the pandemic. Best selection of fruit tea flavors and most worth the price. Since the pandemic: Online ordering was fine until a couple weeks ago, ordering is a mess and straw was left out of order so I had to go back in...order will say it is ready for pick up way before it is ready.

I loved this place when it first opened up. Over the years the maintenance has gone down a bit, parts of the floor were sticky. Tables not wiped down properly, and bathroom weren't fully cleaned. But the buttle tea is really good, consistent and has a large variety.

Stick to the tea and bubble tea. Depending on who is working, your espresso drink may be made poorly or just wrong. Their tea selection is diverse and expansive, and they have dozens of different flavors for bubble tea. They're tapioca is always cooked perfectly and they pretty much never run out. The tea kettle is served in a classy iron kettle and they'll give you as many cups to go with as you want. Highly recommend the tea options, but steer clear of the espresso!

Stopped to get a drink. From the outside wasn't sure if it was open, but a quick phone call confirmed it was. Ordered an apricot green iced tea. (The list of tea choices is extensive) It was brewed fresh then poured over ice. They even added honey while it was hot. Probably the best iced tea I've ever had outside of home. There are desserts also, but none were gluten free, so I couldn't indulge ☹

Clean, prices are reasonable. The drinks we ordered were excellent- exceeded expectations. The atmosphere was ok...lots of tables/chairs but decor could be warmer, cozy and intimate and perhaps add on of wall art.

It's a nice place if you want to gather with friends and drink bubble 🫧 tea. They have lots of drinks options, but if you want something to eat, the menu is very limited. It's a nice place still to sit and socialize!

Really great tea. Interesting combinations - gotta try something a bit more crazy next time. Pretty nice space and convenient location if you want to go to a movie right before/afterwards. Men's bathroom is full of graffiti and the lock is broken on the bathroom door (and apparently, from what I was told, the woman's bathroom door lock is also busted) so watch out for that - it's a 1 person bathroom FYI. Had an older gentleman bust in and take a seat right next to me as I was washing my hands 2 feet over. Definitely an interesting experience... otherwise, great place!

I'm no expert of bubble tea, but I've tried it a few places. This place is by far the best I've had. I highly recommend getting a Taro-Coconut milk bubble tea. The baristas are very helpful at giving suggestions on what to get. (That's how I found out about my favorite.) Only reason 4/5 stars: If you're looking for a quiet café setting, might want to be careful what time of the day you visit, because the UB college students aren't always cognizant of others trying to get work done (I know from experience).

If you're a college student this place is awesome. If you're an adult, get in and out fast or go when it's slow. Good stuff for a good price, just too crowded at night with college students for my liking. If you're into socializing, a great hangout place.

Came here after having a meal next door at Anchi. There was a good amount of people walking in and out of the cafe, so I thought I might as well take a visit. Upon walking in, there's a list of drink options they have the base of milk tea or fruit tea - whether you want a regular tea or smoothie form as well. They also had a few new additions and employee recommendations. Lots of seating and a very chill spot to go with friends. The cafe also had some board games too. They were pretty quick with their service. I certainly see why it's a busy spot for locals here!

Decent place. Definitely a likable atmosphere with courteous staff. The bubble tea here is as you'd expect. I have had better experiences in other cities but for Buffalo and for the student community, I think it's pretty good. Been here several times and I still come back so...

This place is great. A very large selection and a helpful staff makes it easy for a newcomer to bubble tea to find what they would like. The interior is nice and relaxing. The tea (especially the Japanese matcha w/ red beans and pearls) is wonderful! The pearls are really soft and wonderful and come in a lot of different varieties. Why four stars? The whole mall looks run down and creepy and there is trash coating the parking lot in front of the Cafe. It makes it look kind of sketch from the outside. I recommend but not with a date.

The food menu is a little sparse--they no longer have dumplings--but the desserts and rolls are still delightful. A very nice little place.

Great taste! I got a mango bubble tea with milk and was delicious. My tiramisu was a bit frozen and was kind of hard to cut it at first. But I just had to wait a little and enjoyed it. I recommend!

Amazing selection of loose leaf and bubble teas, nice, light-filled space with plenty of seating. Try one of the special teas, milk teas, boba teas. They've got tapioca, bursting Boba, jellies, and more flavors than I could imagine including Ube, hot or cold. Plus yummy desserts. Don't let the condition of the parking lot or the pseudo empty gyms next door scare you. Worth a stop.

Great variety of flavors. Three stars only because of the boba/tapioca pearls. They were bland and too soft. I prefer them marinated in a syrup/honey solution and bouncy.

Like the options of fruit tea but it can be way too sweet. They don't offer any option for less sugar and the milk tea has a weird aftertaste. I do like how fast the service is.

Needs some tuning. They don’t serve hot tea in teapots. To go coffee cups and a side of milk came in a sauce to go container. Kinda loses it touch. The 1 bathroom they had had no toilet paper and had 5 people working. I asked for hot milk and they had no idea what I meant. For chai tea, that’s the traditional way.

Workers seem to be friendly for sure, but the milk tea just isn't that great. My friend got a fruity one and seemed to have liked it, but I can only speak for my experience with it. I feel like even a KFT's milk tea may taste better than this? Didnt even finish my regular one. Some bobas are also rock hard while some bobas are squishy/good to chew.

I got the brown sugar boba tea. It was ok to say the least. There was barely any boba in my drink. The boba was kinda hard. But the brown sugar with milk was pretty good.

A while back I had vanilla one time and got sick from it, i noticed it was a weird pink color but thought it was just the tapioca, ended up getting sick and throwing up. Recently tho I asked for water with no ice, I said thank you and the person gave me an ick face. LOL i don't know what i did unless having no ice in water is a problem, it took a while for them to make it, but yea i ended up getting sick the same night. All the People there seem to be nice and chill so its not all of them. I usually don't have any problems And i try to be considerate but yea that one little thing made me not trust things. I liked the place but will not buy anything when this specific person isn't around.

good experience and good drinks. i didn’t say more stars because i’m spoiled with no. 1 boba in vegas and texas. got a red bean milk tea with boba, and a loganberry lychee smoothie with lychee jelly. boba itself was a little disappointing, very sweet and sticky rather than more satisfying chewiness that i’m used to. employees were nice helping my grandmother pick something out and being quick to get the drinks out. we all only got less sugar and was still sweet for me. also, my grandfather got papaya and it was a very mild, almost no flavor. still, overall, i liked the flavors i got and tried, and would recommend tea leaf to anyone in the area. (lobby was very nice as well, good space to hang out.)

I bought pomegranate smoothie twice from them and the second time i needed to go to the hospital after I drink it because i start having sharp pain in my stomach and throwing up and my doctor said the smoothie was contaminated, so You guys need to be more hygienic as well as ur employees because every time i buy this smoothie i get sick.

I have gotten this place before and it has been good in my experience, but their online ordering seems to be a mess. we ordered and checked out online and then 20 mins later we went and our order was not even processed. So we did it again and it still did not go through. We asked the worker and she said it had been happening all night, and that we could try refreshing and re inputting in all 7 orders if we wanted, so we eventually gave up. Call orders would be very helpful, or at least an efficient system for online ordering.

This has to be the worst tea place I’ve ever had. For one, the staff is rude and unwelcoming. Twice now I’ve ordered here and they can’t get the order right. I ordered today and the drinks were literally done in a minute of ordering. That’s a big red flag because that’s never the turnaround time boba tea. I also believe they handed us a drink that had been sitting there. That’s the only reason it would have coconut milk in it when I didn’t ask for it. I went in there and she really made the argument “it’s a non dairy based creamer” yes and it is coconut. If you are going to just be picking a milk base for folks without consent, then at least make that known on your menu. I threw it in the trash and walked out. Never again.

Tea was good, service was very friendly, but establish was very cold. I went to study and a lot of people were seated. It was too cold for me or others to take their coat off.

everytime i’ve come here they mess up my order somehow. i don’t know if this a is a reoccurrence but their boba is trash too and idk how u can mess up boba like come on. i ordered an almond milk boba and when i took a sip i was dumbfounded at the sheer taste, it both tasted and smelled like rubber.. straight rubber like are u serious??? the place was dirty too.

Really disappointing experience. I’ve heard such great things about Tea Leaf, so I travelled out of my way to come here. I tried to call to place my order over the phone, and was told they couldn’t take phone orders and that I had to place it online. I asked if I would be able to make specific requests, or if there was a “note” section since I like my drink a certain way. I was told there was, but there was not. So I placed my order, even though it wasn’t the way I liked. When I got to the store, I asked if I could add additional tapioca balls to my drink, and said that I was not able to make that request online. I was told they were not able to do that. I offered to pay for the additional charge, and they said they were not allowed… like seriously? I was baffled. The guy mentioned something about a “shortage”. Such BS. Also, I ordered a mango smoothie and it sucked. It was more of a slushee consistency and had ZERO flavor. It was way too icy and was almost like I was drinking snow. I definitely will not be coming back.

This was probably the worst boba I’ve ever had in my life. I was suspicious when the drink came out so fast but happily surprised. That is… until I took a sip. I g out the lemon tea with boba. The boba pearls were good. The tea was literally just lightly lemon water with no sweetness at all. Yuck. Very sad and disappointed.
