One of my favorite places to go! We tried it once and fell head over heels. The food is consistent, fresh & delicious! The posole will cure anything that ales you. You can tell the salsa is made fresh daily. The queso flameado, seafood enchiladas and burrito are delicious! They also have a wide variety of desserts. The bar is spacious it can get busy but the dining room is wonderful with well equipped rod iron purse hangers. We are always ready to go back!
I was very impressed by the restaurant. Our waiter Joae was very knowledgeable and tending to a small group of ladies very well. I never felt rushed and he checked on us just the right amount of times. Even picked up our plates as we were thru with our meals at different points. Jose was very attentive attentive to us and to detail. I will definitely be returning for the excellent service. The food was delicious and very intrigued to the all the pork plates, nom-nom-nom-nom!! Licking my grease off my lips.
This is honestly hands down my family's favorite restaurant in the entire city. Their entire regional menu, level of service, and general environment of the establishment knock it out of the park for us everytime we visit. The food reminds us of home, the staff & management are always super welcoming, plus the live music is always lively without being obnoxiously overbearing. This place is so amazing, my friends even know to bring me their Salmon Quesadillas as a pick me up whenever I'm stuck in the hospital 😅 Will definitely recommend to anyone looking for authentic Mexican Cuisine in Houston!
A true gem in the community for years and I’m so sad to see it go. I’ve been coming to Picos since Bruja and his brother worked there and it’s been amazing watching the team transitions, while service stayed amazing. Wishing the entire staff well and many blessings on whatever comes next.
Excellent service and attention to detail. Bruno was our waiter but there was excellence to all the attentive staff not just Bruno (who by the way was excellent.) When we received the food and drinks - oh my! So good! But I cannot leave out the musicians - there were two - a harp player and a guitarist. I wish I had their names, they led us down memory lane with classics like Rancho Grande and Jesucita en Chihuahua. I wholeheartedly recommend Picos Restaurant for their amazing food and atmosphere!
My new favorite restaurant! The food here is delicious, the atmosphere is great, and most importantly... The staff here is phenomenal. Juan was my waiter, and he was nothing less than amazing. He went above and beyond and that alone I appreciate so much. I highly recommend this restaurant!
That was mi 1st ever in this place!. I really enjoyed that time, we ate like PIGs 🐷🐽 as you can see. We had: Chuletero Iberico Special Pulpo al Ajillo Appetizer Snapper Tampicos Special For Drinks A weird bottle of wine (from Spain) Carajillo (Coffee) Ocho Reales Beer And we had some back in the days music! 🎺🎷🎻🎤
This place was amazing. I had fajita nachos where the meat is set to the side for you to add. Great service, great drinks, and great food. First time being here, the atmosphere is great and the music was good and I've only just entered through the door. The only downside I would have to say is that it is very pricy, but WELL worth the cost of everything.
Server: Ayme M This establishment is truly remarkable! The cuisine was exceptionally delicious, and the beverages were prepared to perfection. The fajitas al carbon were particularly noteworthy and left a lasting impression on my palate. The flavors were exquisite, and the portion was more than satisfying.
The enchiladas were absolutely delicious. Most places skimp on the crab meat, but there was a decent portion in the tortillas. The sauce was delicious as well. Their style of ceviche involves draining the liquid, so the shape of the mango, pineapple, and shrimp remains which was unique but also made the taste a little dry. They taste good when put on the saltine crackers though. Large selection of margaritas as well.
So I’ve had two experiences here. Sitting and the bar, and not sitting at the bar. Happy hour at Pico’s is exceptional in the Upper Kirby area, there are plenty of great food and drink options, i usually have tecate micheladas and shaker margaritas. The accompaniments for our drinks of choice vary, and this photos is of the “bigger than your face”, and it really is a hell of a deal. The ceviche tostadas and the tacos on the happy hour menu are delicious, and it doesn’t hurt that Pico’s has an incredible tequila selection. Sitting at a table was unremarkable.
Arnaldo Richards' Picos Restaurant truly stands as a gem in Houston's culinary scene, especially notable for its commitment to authentic Mexican cuisine. This prestigious establishment, nestled in the Upper Kirby District, has been delighting diners for over 35 years with a menu that vividly represents the diverse flavors of Mexico's seven regions. The ambiance at Picos is both welcoming and refined, making it ideal for everything from casual dining to special events. The restaurant is particularly celebrated for its vibrant happy hour and expertly mixed margaritas, which are perfect for unwinding after a busy day. For those seeking a unique taste, the chiles en nogada comes highly recommended, offering a perfect blend of Pueblan tradition with a seasonal twist, often associated with Mexican national pride. Adding to the allure, Picos provides valet parking, ensuring a convenient start to your dining experience. The atmosphere, highlighted by occasional live harp music, sets a soothing backdrop that enhances the dining experience. Meanwhile, the attentive service ensures that every visit is memorable, reflecting the restaurant’s dedication to genuine hospitality. Whether you’re in the mood for the fiery flavors of chilorio or the fresh catch like red snapper, Picos promises a culinary journey through the rich landscapes of Mexico, underscored by their use of traditional cooking methods and ingredients, such as banana leaves and a custom shaker for cocktails. In essence, Arnaldo Richards' Picos is not just a meal; it’s a celebration of rich culinary traditions, presented with impeccable service and a warm, inviting atmosphere. It's the place I recommend for anyone seeking the authentic tastes of Mexico in the heart of Houston.
Love love Pico’s. It’s fancier and pricier than other Mexican restaurants but you get quality food and drink. I’ve been here a couple times and haven’t had a bad experience. Queso flameado with chorizo, ceviche, seafood enchiladas are some of my favorites. Shaker margaritas is a nice added bonus if that’s your thing.
Really enjoyed the food and service for friend's birthday celebration. The mariachi musicians included a harpist! Very impressed. The fajitas for two was enough for 3, even if there is never enough guacamole.
Go hungry, if you’re going to the Sunday brunch. It’s about $45 a person, but it’s exceptionally good. And they have everything on this buffet. There’s so much food there. It was hard to decide what to get. My husband got a chicken dish that comes baked in a banana leaf. It’s definitely worth checking out.
This was definitely a five star experience. My first time here and blown away. From the safety measures for covid and the wait staff WOW WOW WOW. We ordered the Chiles En Nogada and it's just the best. The pork was slowly roasted and the sauce poured on top was simply scrumptious. I am a huge salsa critic specifically for green sauce is my go to. The green sauce here was super FRESH and delicious. The red salsa was definitely fresh as well but the green salsa here won my vote. Honestly tasted like they had just cut all of the ingredients and made this salsa just for us. We ordered queso with our chips and it was very rich and thick creamy cheese. The fresh green salsa paired well with the chips and queso. The drinks were mixed perfectly. For dessert we we're offered an array of amazing desserts but decided to go with the Tres leches. This was the best Tres Leche's I found in Houston so far. Highly recommend this restaurant and will be going back!
This place is a top choice for regional Mexican cuisine. From the mouthwatering chicharrón tacos to the flavorful chamorro with verdolagas in green salsa, it's a must-visit. We strongly recommend it. If you're in the mood for the perfect margarita, be sure to ask for Victor to craft it, and you can always count on Hector for exceptional service. 🤩🤩
Our garcon was Angle, amazing service and knowledge about the food. The food here had a true Mexican taste. An avocado-based Mexican dish, aguachile features shrimp submerged in a liquid with chili peppers, lime juice, salt, cilantro, cucumber slices, and onion slices. Raw vegetables, such as cucumbers, are often added. Molcajetes are used to prepare this raw seafood dish that originates in the west region of Mexico.
This was my 1st time. I went for a birthday celebration. We had 2 different selections of mole. Both were good my favorite was the Manchas Manteles mole. I also ordered the Jamaica “agua fresca” delicious and not to sweet. Overall great service, price was reasonable, and food was tasteful. They have complimentary valet but I was able to find a spot open so no need to valet.
This restaurant boasts that it serves home cooked dishes that you would not find at other TexMex establishments. The food did not disappoint and the service was top notch. Pro-Tip: The Perfect margarita does not list agave as one of its ingredients, but you can ask for it "skinny" so they don't add it.
Dear Renaldo, say it ain't so! You are an artist. You can't close. You are like Michelangelo. I have been going to your restaurant since about 2001 when you were still in Bellaire. Where am I going to get my enchiladas en nogada? I have had them in San Miguel Allende. They were exactly the same as yours, but I cannot go there once per week for crying out loud. And obviously they had nothing from other regions: Yucatan, Sinaloa, Acapulco, Monterrey, Baja, etc. Houston and me cannot live without you. I cannot go on without you AND Spanish Village.
I've been going to Pico's since the 80s when they were at their other location on Bellaire Blvd. It's always been excellent. They use great ingredients, and the vibe is always festive and friendly. Their queso flameado, salsas, enchiladas, Chile relleno, and tacos are all very good. They would easily be the best Mexican food in most cities in the US. But Houston has a lot of serious competition. The soft shell crab is world class, best I've ever had.
This beautiful restaurant is AMAZING & AUTHENTIC!!! My husband bonded with the waiters from Mexico. They were so very professional & recommended the most authentic soup to my husband who said it was like he was back home in Mexico City. I had the carnitas and OMG!!! Absolutely the best I ever had! The Queso, chefs kiss! 😘 We will be going back next time we are in Houston! Just a heads up to have cash on hand to tip the valet driver.
First time visitors! We came for their Mother's Day Brunch and had an amazing experience from the moment we arrived. Valet was super welcoming and kind. We did not have reservations but the hostess was able to accommodate us. As busy as it was, everyone remained professional, calm and attentive with welcoming smiles. Food was delicious! Very impressed with the variety. I loved the fresh limonada. Picos must be very proud of their staff! We are looking forward to dine in for dinner soon. Thank you for a great Mother's Day experience!
Some of the best authentic Mexican food you will ever find in Houston, Texas. Definitely worth the visit and the service is on point! We always try to swing by when we're in town! **Update** Always a pleasure coming into town and visiting Arnaldo Richards' Picos! My wife enjoyed her Enchiladas, and I enjoyed my Mahi Mahi! The dulce de leche cake for my birthday was absolutely incredible! We'll be back soon! We'd highly recommend!
First time visiting today after wanting to for a while. Very nice restaurant, inside and out. Clean and inviting with a very friendly staff. Complementary chips and salsa (deal breaker for me) was excellent!! This time I ordered the Carnitas Tacos and they were absolutely delicious. I’ll be back!
OMG this restaurant was amazing. I like to go around town trying new places to review and I was so happy I came across Pecos. I was blown away by the Lively atmosphere and decor. From the moment we pulled up to complimentary valet, to being seated, and throughout the whole dinner service was amazing. I don't normally call a restaurant amazing, but I was truly Blown Away by the service and the quality of the food that I received. The waiter Alexander was definitely someone to ask for. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and guided me to many good choices. After deciding on what I was going to order, I decided to go with the pork shank with the tomatillo sauce. The pork shank was tender and full of flavor, and everything from the sauces to the side dishes was all homemade. You can taste the difference. Also, I tried the carne asada, which was so tender it was like meat butter that melted in your mouth. I haven't had a carne asada from anywhere that tasted as good as that one. I will definitely be going back to this restaurant and trying more items, and I think you should, too. Also, I can't believe THE RESTAURANT has been in business for 40 years, and I had never heard of it before. Thanks to Houston restaurant week, I was able to try a new spot that became quickly my favorite. Pics of my dinner will be included with this review.
Today I dined in here for the first time. I have been wanting to come here since 2017 when a friend told me great things about it and today I finally made it! William was my server and he was superb. He recommended great drinks and he was very easy going and kind. My meal was very comfortable and I was very happy with this place between the ambience, service, and food. I would definitely return!
Atmosphere 10/10 Customer service 20/10 I have never been to a restaurant where the whole staff is very attentive. Our drink never ran out, before we knew it waiter was bringing a new one. A manager walked by talked to us, he was such a vibe!! Loved the energy! 20/10 Overall definitely will be back.
the service was excellent & very attentive. drinks stayed full & our chips were always full of fresh hot tortillas chips! the food was AMAZING. between the queso, guacamole& chicharrones were the best appetizer and almost filled us up before our entrees came out! they are still celebrating eating Houston’s Restaurant Week so I suggest making it out here before they take it away!
Great restaurant! Has an up-scale of interior And fine dining feel. While sorta priced to match, it had lower prices than another well known place nearby. Our server was excellent, answering questions and giving a recommendation when asked. He even told us about events at the restaurant. But the food stole the show just as it should! Amazing tacos for an appetizer, beef enchilada was delicious and then there was the mole. It was absolutely phenomenal, the lamb was moist and tender while the type of mole was somewhat sweet. It was a great pairing.
This place was amazing, super authentic and will be returning all the workers are amazing. Mauricio was our waiter, he went above and beyond with attending us. We ended up getting margaritas they were delicious. We also got tacos and flautas, they were super delicious. This was was 20/10 everything went above and beyond
Best Mexican Brunch in Kirby area! Coming here took me back to Mexico 🇲🇽, the food tasted like home! I loved that they did this Brunch, Mexico Style, they had a cook making omelette right there, with the ingredients of your choice, and he would do waffles and pancakes fresh from scratch, yum! The had the best dishes from Mexico! Pozole verde, Pozole rojo, Menudo, Mole negro, Mole poblano, Carne guisada, Chicharrón en salsa, Ensalada de nopales, Guacamole, Tamales oaxaqueños, and much more! The cost per person was $48, a bit on the pricy side, but if you appreciate good Mexican food, you get your moneys worth. They had a table full of delicious desserts, my favorite were arroz con leche and choco flan. I got my Mexican Coke and food wise, the mole poblano, the pozole rojo and the rajas con queso, by far my favorite!
I hadn’t been back since they were located on Bellaire Boulevard, but I’ve been craving their food for years. For my 50th birthday, there was only one place I wanted to go, and they did not disappoint. The Filete al Chipotle is absolutely outstanding. If you have never tried it, you are missing out. It was just as incredible as I remembered—perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and unforgettable. We used to eat here once a week from the time I was 12 until I moved out at 18, and the quality has remained consistently excellent. The owner is genuinely one of the nicest people you will ever meet. After more than 16 years, he still remembered me, which says a lot about the care and pride they take in their customers. Fantastic food, exceptional service, and a restaurant that truly stands the test of time. Highly recommended
First time going and wish I could go back again. The food was excellent of the 4 of us that went no one had anything bad to say about the food. It came out in a timely fashion the flavors were bold and savory. I'm extremely sad to here they are closing in a few months after 44 years of service to the community. The vibes were amazing they had some music going a "band" with harp and guitar that came around to the tables, they did some happy birthday songs and a few others. The drinks were strong and well worth the price. I don't think I have enough words to say how good this restaurant really was. If you are thinking of going, go immediately you won't be upset. The waiters were friendly and service was A++. I would highly recommend and return.
44 years in business and I heard they were closing down soon. I went to support them and to try out their fajitas. There seems to be more people and customers showing up because they extended the closing until Jan. 2026. I was happy to hear this. The fajitas were great. I selected the beef and chicken combo. I liked the decor inside. The staff was friendly and helpful. More people should show up here. Great place for lunch, happy hour or dinner.
Pico’s is my favorite restaurant. The service, food and margaritas are the best!!!! Everything is always fresh and consistently delicious. It states on the website that it is closing in 2025. It is not! They will stay at the current location until they move. The are in the process of finding a new and better location!!! Pass the word that Pico’s is open👏👏👏 Joni Ryman.
I absolutely love Picos! Consistently great, every single visit! The owner and his family are lovely folks too! Highly recommended! ❤️ Update 8/18- Picasso is closing next month (boooo!) but went tonight for the aa#you-can-eat fajitas. Fajitas? Fabulous! Waiter (Jose)? Not so much. Attitude the whole dinner. So unlike this place. Not a good way to go out, smh.
I love Picos! The staff are incredibly helpful, the food is amazing! I had the aguas chiles and the chicken w mole, both were amazing. My dad had the lamb w mole and shared a taste, wow!! I had been looking for the best mole, worthy of the state of Oaxaca and this mole made the grade!
Chicken fajitas lunch special for two: $20.00. Huge portion, great value but the chicken was dry so we had a big box of chicken to go. The condiments were excellent: beans, corn/flour tortillas, guacamole, spanish rice, lettuce, and pico. The chips and hot sauces (red one and red one) green was spicy - just right and the red was too sweet for me. I can tell you if a hispanic restaurant is good by their chips, sauces and tortillas....
1st time to this restaurant and it was a good experience. Food was good and came in a timely manner. Staff was very pleasant and took our order when we were ready. No trouble finding parking. Tables are not crammed together either so it provides a more relaxed meal and not a noisy as other restaurants.
This is a really nice restaurant, a bit pricey but good vibe and environment, the service was amazing. Started of with their drinks which again were amazing, we were a party of 8 and everyone ordered their own margarita and michaladas and no one complained, ordered the question with chorizo and without and they were both amazing. Everyone wanted fajitas so we ordered for 5 package, and it was really sufficient. Also ordered Chile relianos and one order of taco. And there was so much food we had to take half to go. The Pico the rice the beans and the guacamole that came as side were also very fresh. I really want to emphasize on the tortillas, they were really fresh and tasty as well. Now comes the desert. We ordered a 7chocolate cake and the caramel cake. The chocolate cake was amazing. Caramel cake was delicious but it didn’t stand a chance in front of the chocolate cake. They have a patio where u can take your pet as well. Please enjoy the pics attached. And go enjoy their food.
I found the food to be good, however, too spicy only for my taste. If you like spicy food, the place is great food for you. The atmosphere is too family-friendly for me And if you don't mind loud tables then this place is for you. However if you are hard-of-hearing, then you'll need a table in the back and not go during peak hours. The waitress was very attentive without being intrusive. She was very good in keeping our drinks filled.
Part of me says the food is pricier than I’d like, but the location is great and you (often) get what you pay for. Have been to a few parties here in evenings, tried their breakfast a number of times; their fare is pretty great across the board, and the staff has always been attentive and competent. Waits can get a bit out of control, but I guess I’m complaining about this great restaurant’s popularity. A good restaurant for out of towners, especially if you’re staying along I-59. There’s heaps of stuff in walking distance, and the district surrounding Pico’s is meant to be nice/walkable. Definitely worth a try - highly recommend.
Pico's offers a variety of Mexican regional dishes without steering far from the standard expected fare. It is a big space that offers several areas for private events. Food: 4 stars. It was good, not great. I would like to see some creative exploration or refinement in the dishes. The drinks were top-notch. We especially enjoyed the sotol lemonade. Not a lot of places serve sotol. Service: 5 stars. Great service from the host, waiter, and bussers. Atmosphere: 4 stars. It's kind of an old hacienda vibe with some nice decor moments, but parts of the restaurant feel dated and are likely originating from the previous restaurant that inhabited the space. The acoustics were not good, and the space was loud for 15% occupancy.
If you're looking for more authentic Mexican and not just texmex, this seems to be the place ! We had live band tonight that was nice and it was packed. Reservations highly recommend and selection of wine and tequila was pretty good. We had a decent spread to share as well. A mix of meat to eat with our fresh fajitas. Quite liked it , would try again and during the summer for patio season. Enjoy !
Loved this place. I went for brunch but I was too early and couldn’t order the fajitas :( but I got to try their buffet which was equally delicious! The chocolate parfait, the mole, tamales, and strawberries were the standouts for me mwah Not sure it was worth $50 though.
I came here for a group lunch. Overall I found the service and food both satisfactory. I had the seafood enchiladas. I was impressed with the size of the portion and they looked really cheesy. I was a little disappointed that the sauce seemed to overwhelm all the rest of the flavors. I think if they put a little more cheese in the enchiladas and not just on top of the enchiladas, and maybe a little less of the green sauce it would have been a bigger hit. I did not particularly appreciate the automatic 20% gratuity just because we're part of a group.
My husband took me here for my pre-birthday dinner. We ordered Chamorro de Pierco con Verdolagas (Pork Shank with Purslane) and a fish dish. We do like the pork shank and the fish dish. And the service is very personal. However, it is not a repeat as El Tiempo and Lupe, which are also nearby. We did have a great time here for my birthday. I don’t remember they did anything for my birthday. But overall, we like the experience.
Starting off with the good, very nice restaurant with good interior. We went on a Wednesday and happen to catch some live music which was nice. The food however, was only ok. Nothing tasted authentic and the salsas were a disappointment. Nothing ruins a Mexican restaurant more than bad salsa. The cocktails were also not tasty. And the service was subpar. Overall it wasn’t the worst, but def wouldn’t recommend.
Disappointed in the food. I got the spinach quesadilla for appetizer, lamb shank for entre, and tres leches for dessert. The food was very bland.. the avocado salsa was didn’t taste like anything. The tres leches was extremely sweet. Not worth the money in my opinion. The service was really good and good ambient though!
Margarita needs some serious improvement, especially for the price. Food was just ok, and service could have been better. I had to ask several times for water. My husband and I chose this restaurant to celebrate our birthdays (yes, we have the same birthday) and were asked when we made the reservation if we were celebrating a special occasion, so we said yes! Our birthdays were not acknowledged, so why were we asked? This was a disappointing experience, especially since we drove 40 miles one way to get there. We probably won't be going back.
I absolutely love this restaurant. I’ve been coming here ever since I moved to Houston over 6 years ago. However, my biggest complaint would be their newest bartender with the glasses. He does not live up to the standard that they have in place. He doesn’t greet you, he doesn’t offer chips and salsa, He always seems like he’s unhappy and doesn’t want to be there.. i’ve watched how he interacts with pretty much all the guest and it’s very consistent on poor service. He just doesn’t have very good hospitable skills that you should have working in this sort of industry. I’ve given it a few times just to see maybe if he was having a bad day but it’s very consistent. I don’t ever complain because like I said, I enjoy the food. I enjoy my margaritas however, his service is absolutely terrible. I highly recommend working on that ASAP! Picos bar is a staple in the community!! He REALLY needs to step it up to the expectation and the standard that’s already in place or kick rocks..
I used to be a huge fan of their original location on Bellaire, but we noticed a marked decline in the quality of the food and service when they moved to their spot on Kirby. The service (at least in our experience) was apathetic, it got way are more expensive, and the food- especially the chile en nogada- was never quite the same. I’m sorry to hear that they’re closing, but I can’t help but wonder if others shared our opinion.
We tried it out because we saw it on the news for around the world taco day. The atmosphere is nice the host was friendly and sat us. The server did take about 10 minutes to greet us. But once he did he was nice. I had the pina Mango smash and the shrimp and lobster enchiladas. The drink was ok. Since I do bartend it could of been better. The enchiladas were too cheesy but overall good. We did get the tacos for the special the Barbocoa was my favorite.
Stopped in for happy hour 3-6pm. Had the playa azul and house margarita. Was nice and strong. Chips were made fresh and served warm. Green and red sauce made in house, I really enjoyed the red salsa. Service not that attentive, had to ask for more chips and salsa and they were not busy. We decided to go to La Griglia for dinner.
Had a lovely waiter and enjoyed the live music during our dinner. The portions are generous but the food wasn’t good. Ceviche and taco dinner seemed to come out of a box. Didn’t taste like scratch made.
For me…Picos was just ok. The service was subpar. We had to wait for the servers to do rock, paper, scissors to decide who was going to take our table. I had to get up and ask the host at the front who was supposed to help our table. Not to mention the restaurant was practically empty…. We should have received excellent service from start to finish. The food was ok….nothing impressive about the dishes we chose. Not sure about the dessert or the drinks… I wasn’t participating in enjoying libations during this visit. I may have to return, give them another shot…everyone deserves a second chance and this time I will try the drinks and let you guys know.
I went to Picos on Aug 25, 2025 and on the 26th I noticed my transaction that posted to my account was 20.00 different than what i spent. My total was 120.16 and because of the service I left a 5.00 tip. I come there once a month and normally I will leave a tip of 10 or more. The total that cleared my bank account was 145.16. So i called the restaurant and spoke to Barwin and he pulled the receipt and can see i wrote the total of 125.16 but there was a 2 added in front of the 5 for the tip. I asked him to have the owner reach out because this is illegal and I shouldn’t even have to pay for this . The owner ‘Arnaldo Richards’ calls me and says this is Arnaldo how can I help you . I said did they inform you of what is going on he says Yes what do you want from me . I said sir I’m sorry this is illegal you can go around changing tips. He says I signed for it I said no I didnt . He says Maurcio is a good employee and he wouldn’t do this. I said well he did and he says to me he will believe his employee. And will refund me the 20.00 i said I shouldn’t even have to pay for this. He says oh you looking for a free meal he said i will only refund 20 and you can press charges if you want to. I said sir you know what its not even about the 20.00 you can keep it obviously the employee needed it more than me. I said i come to your restaurant once a month for Happy hour he said thanks for your business. I am not doing anything else for you and hung up! When i tell you this i BEYOND UNPROFESSIONAL! I will take this further because no telling how many other people they are doing this to
WOW! 😃 PICOS you have really outdone yourselves! My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals tonight. Everything was fresh tasting, well seasoned and just perfect. 👏 Pictured below: Chicken pibil with black rice and black refried beans, Mahi Mahi, portobello Oaxacan tamale, sides of green and black rice, pinto and black refried beans, green and red salsa, chicken nortenos tamales (not pictured), churros with sauces and dulce de leche cheesecake! Comments—chicken pibil literally falls off the bone and the sauce cooked in it is amazing. Chicken tamale was good as well as the veggie Oaxaca tamale being the best out of the two! Mahi Mahi super flavorful and tender. Rice and beans seasoned and cooked perfect as well. Desserts need no comments- pictures speak for themselves! Also the girl whom I talked to on the phone also brought out my food to the car- she is amazing and super nice! Deserves special recognition. 👍 Thank you PICOS!! 😉 UPDATE 2024- order to go and got spoiled Oaxacan rice. Also noticed that whenever I ordered to go or needed utensils the people working there were always not nice or pleasant to work with. Would not recommend anymore.
Service was extremely bad. Waiter slammed plates and water on table. All 5 of us noticed how loud. Waiter was VERY impatient while taking order Didn’t write anything down and AS A RESULT order came out wrong! Was very defensive about it. Food was mediocre….very dated restaurant and decor. First and last visit.
When I saw the menu prices, I expected a service or the food would be pretty decent. First, the waiter wouldn't bring the little plates foe the chips until after we had ordered. I ask for it multiple times and he just said I'll bring them.I'll bring them. My spinach salad was horrible. Drenched in so much balsamic vinaigrette it was hard to eat. The steak fajitas that I paid extra nine dollars for, were tough/chewy. My friend asked for charro beans and they brought her the wrong kind. They charged over seven dollars for a glass of bottled lemonade. We had to ask multiple times for to-go containers And and then for a to go drink container. I asked for 3 soups to go. ( I ordered them at the beginning.Otherwise, I wouldn't have ordered anything else from this place) Even that they got wrong! I ordered one chicken soup, one green pozole and one red pozole. I got the chicken, which wasn't even closed well and it's spilled in my truck , and two red pozoles. No Green. When it was time to check out the waiter was right there next to me holding the credit card machine while I finished the transaction. I went to the bathroom and the stalls smelled like urine. I am never coming back and i'm not recommending this place to anybody. The chips were good.
