Did not know they have chains! I mean I just friggin love this place. Grab ingredients from the bar at your heart's content, pick the soup base, and they'll cook it for you, what can be better than that! I always pick the original soup at the "hot" level. What I just love about their soup base is that it's not the regular sichuan mala soup that is mostly red oil, this actually has a base of bone soup, so the red oil just kinda floats on top and underneath is the bone broth, which means you can actually drink this without absolutely destroying your stomach (at least I do lol!) Finally don't forget to swing by the sauce bar and grab your sauces and toppings!
This Taiwanese hot pot restaurant is really amazing. I think you get your money's worth at $13.99 a pound, especially considering the variety and quality of the ingredients. I ordered my broth extra spicy and it tasted just spicy, but you can adjust the spice level with the condiments (see notes below). The lamb tasted really fresh, as well as the noodles and all of the vegetables. I recommend mixing the lamb with the egg noodles, shitake and oyster mushrooms, lotus root, fried tofu puffs, bok choy, and corn. I added a generous amount of chili paste, fresh scallions and cilantro. It was one of the most satisfying bowls of noodles I've ever had! Seriously! One thing worth highlighting is that their table condiments and garnishes are not weighted. And they include the following: chili paste, garlic, scallions and cilantro, sesame and peanut sauces, sesame seeds, dried chili flakes, sugar, cumin powder, sweet chili-sesame sauce, pepper oil, soy sauce, and vinegar. Highly recommend!
Bone broth was very good, mild was a good comfortable level of spice. The fresh red chili in the sauce section is very spicy and numbing, great quality! It was my first time there, so the staff was patient to explain how it works and introduce different ways they can prepare the food. You pick anything you want from the "food bar section"; they weigh your selection and charge by lb ($13.99 per lb, mine was $20); they bring the food to your table once it's ready (about 10 minutes). This is a good hot pot business model, definitely will come back!
Good place for hotpot, comparable to YGF nearby though it feels like the meat options are a little less here, and some ingredients a little less fresh. Overall great quality and prices still. Helpful staff and quick turnaround. You fill a bowl with raw ingredients, pick a soup base, and they cook it for you. For a personal hotpot I got plenty of tasty, well cooked food and a bowl of leftovers for $20. Bone broth worked as a good soup base and they had different options for sauces and toppings. The price is set per lb and gets even cheaper when you bring a large group! Would definitely recommend.
Tried this new spicy hotpot restaurant today. You can select any topings, noodle and meat you like. And then you choose beef or tomato soup base. They weigh whatever you choose on a scale. I think mine is like 1.3 pounds and it cost me about $18. I chose mild spiciness and that is the same level as Korean instant noodle by Nongshim, Bowl Noodle Souo Hot and Spicy flavor.
Lots of fresh clean veggies here! Much better than Big Way in Monterey Park.
Great experience. I enjoyed being able to pick our own ingredients and not have to cook it myself. Very tasty. Wish there was one closer to me.

Very good and fast service. They’re $13.99/lb average price for malatang around the area I also got med spicy beef broth their broth are actually spicy next time I would get mild so good clean area they also do stamp cards!
It can be a little crowded and noisy but that only really speaks to the quality. Lots of high quality exotic ingredients available, staff is very willing to customize, and control for allergens was really good.
There cannot be a better place for málàtāng than here. Food is good, not too expensive and overall great experience. Will recommend the normal mild beef broth
We were out of our element, having never been to a hot pot before. But thanks to the manager, Andy, we had an amazing experience with outstanding customer service and the best soup noodles we’ve ever had—it was worth every cent! We were able to pick and choose our own proteins, noodles, and sauces. They would then weigh everything and calculate the price accordingly. It was the most delicious soup and noodles I’ve ever had—better than most ramen places! Huge thanks to Manager Andy for the excellent service. If you visit, you won’t be disappointed. You’ll always be greeted with a warm and friendly welcome.
I love coming here. It’s my go-to place when I want to treat myself to something yummy. I usually get it medium spicy and fill my bowl with veggies. I highly recommend adding egg noodles, lotus root, and the wood ear mushrooms. The other location is great too, but I like the view here better AND I can get ice cream at the Baskin and Robbins next door.

Very busy spot for hot pot on a friday evening . The atmosphere is pleasant and the smells are heavenly. I went with a spicy broth and it was perfect with my choice of meat : pork . So many different additions for the soup and the price was great. Vinegar and chili oil on the table to compliment the hot pot at your choice.
Came here with my friend tonight for dinner. I got the spicy beef broth and it was delicious. You grab what you want in your hotpot and weigh it. The variety of ingredients were plentiful and fresh. It’s $13.99/lb. This was perfect since you can customize each hotpot bowl how you desire. Also, the sauce bar was perfect.
Food is good, but price a little bit higher, 1lb 12.99, for woman normal amount almost need to spend 20 dollars.

Having tried YGF down the street, I wanted to see if Yin Tang could compare. Surprisingly, it is pretty delish for being a casual malatang place. In fact, I’ll probably say I like it better than YGF. The beef bone broth here is sooo creamy and tasty! I know they add a lot of MSG to that; I didn’t get any side effects, however. Their lamb, beef, shrimp meatballs, and A Choy were all fresher to me than YGF’s. I only wish Yin Tang offered more noodle choices besides glass and ramen.
The food is very good. The staff is polite

This was our first time here. We liked not having to cook and getting to choose what we wanted in our soup. The restaurant charges by the pound. I got the mild broth. It was still spicy. Before adding more spices, try the soup first.

October 2021 - I'm typically not someone to claim food poisoning from a place, however, this was the last full meal I had to the day before I started feeling sick about 10 hours later (at 2am in the middle of the night). At first I thought it was just indigestion due to the chili in the soup as well as the chili oil they provide at the table, however, I kept having to get up out of bed to vomit and diarrhea until my stomach was completely empty. I'm not looking for a free meal or anything, just wanted to express my concerns and share my experience. The food wasn't bad but the meat is just sitting out there for who knows how long until customers pick it up. Customers use the same tongs to grab meat and vegetables and while I was there I witnessed customers putting back items from there bowl. Service was fine. But considering we were there for the first time, there wasn't much guidance with how things worked and water pitchers sat there on the counter but they won't let you refill your own water. They charge by weight, $12.99 per pound. Quite disappointed with my experience and needless to say I won't be back. 😕

Hot pot is known for their soup base, also is a warming activity for cold, winter climates. This place serve less than half bowl of soup with meat and vegetable inside. They serve food inside a bowl, not in a POT. 小氣了一點. Unlike traditional hot pot restaurant. They aren't generous on the soup, because they afraid you will waste their soup as per the owner"s respond! We won't be back again. False advertising, they should consider change their restaurant name to YinTang Spicy Half Bowl. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED, SO ARE MY FRIENDS.
HORRIBLE SERVICE ATTITUDE! This is the first time my wife and I came by this place and this will the last time. Horrible service attitude from the server below, enlarged picture below so everyone knows who I’m talking about, servers won’t give me her name, the cashier eventually said her name is Candy. Horrible attitude from this server Candy, an attitude like that does not belong in the hospitality industry. This place closes at 9:30, we came in at 9:05, we tried to get seated, and immediately Candy started scolding and yelling at us, telling us that they are closing right away. Lucky another server chimed in saying there was still time to order, but then we were given 5 minutes max to order while being rushed through the entire process of picking our food. During this chaotic process, Candy was yelling and arguing with me because I could not understand why the closing time is 9:30 pm on Google & Yelp, but when I came in at 9 pm, you’re screaming at me telling me you’re closed?! Why don’t you just put 9 pm as your closing time? After some back and forth of arguing, Candy had the audacity to tell me their new closing time is now 9:10 pm…, really?! So save yourself the headache, don’t come here unless you want a piece of Candy’s HORRIBLE SERVICE ATTITUDE.
Order measured by lbs but give you lots of cheap ingredients like noodles but not a lot of protein.
