We loved the place! The staff was very helpful, kind and friendly. Added bonus they were all speaking Greek!!! We got a koulouri with cheese and Nutella croissant! They were both fresh, crunchy and delicious! The outside seating space is also great! We loved the place! We will be back!

This place is super cute, with a really creative and modern menu. The coffee is absolutely top-tier—especially the freddo cappuccino, which reminded me of the cold foam drinks I used to make back when I worked as a Starbucks manager. Honestly, they make it even better here. I was told it’s a Greek-style drink, which I had no idea about, but I loved it. Most of the crowd seemed to be Mediterranean, and honestly, I get it—the coffee quality is excellent and the prices are fair. However, the downside is how crowded it gets. They have very limited staff, which means there’s no one available to clean the tables regularly. People come and go for coffee, but often leave their mess behind, and as a customer, you end up having to grab napkins and clean the table yourself. It also turns into a bit of a game trying to “hunt down” a clean spot to sit. This was my first time visiting, after my best friend recommended it, and we went together. I didn’t get a chance to try their pastries (which looked delicious) because I was waiting for lunch—but I definitely plan to return at a less busy hour to enjoy things at a more relaxed pace. Their furniture is new and the overall space is clean. The bathroom is fine, and the facilities are solid. They just really need more staff. They’re clearly very busy all the time, and it shows in how hard it is for them to keep up with customer support and maintenance outside of the bar. In summary: amazing coffee, great vibe, worth visiting—but go with patience or at a quieter time if you want to truly enjoy it.

Under pressure to find seating. :) Thats a good sign. Everything looks delicious. Fantastic display. I just read another review saying this coffee shop makes excellent cold brew. Funny, because I was just about to write that the cold brew is exceptional! Service is exceptional as well.

They already had a customer for life with me, but now I need to let the world know how great this place is. My first time at the shop. I went with my former roommate to catch up and was pleasantly surprised that there are still places in the city that have high quality coffee products and even higher quality service. The staff was friendly and professional. Coffee was amazing. Definitely the spot for a quick pick me up shot while on the way through a busy life as well as the place to sit down and relax, alone or with friends.

Amazing blueberry muffin!! A friend spoke very highly about these muffins, and it did not disappoint. The muffin was crisp on the top, moist on the inside, and the blueberries were super tasty & juicy. A perfect muffin. Service was also friendly and quick.

Under Pressure has a brand new gorgeous space! Plenty of seating options in the new cafe space and even more outside options. Overall ambience is good, just like the old spot. The coffee is always good and the staff is super friendly, their drip coffee leans to the darker side. They have plenty of standard coffee shop pastries and a few Greek classics to chose from, but I didn’t get one this time around. Definitely going to try more of their food options on my next visit.

Came here with the Greek homie, and I didn't know how Greek he was until he started speaking Greek at the counter. Beast. We had just eaten a huge meal, and came in here as he was picking up a Greek pastry for his girl. At this point, I see one of my only known weaknesses: a white chocolate macadamia cookie. I don't have a big sweet tooth, but white chocolate macadamia cookies are just built so different. They are not like the other cookies. After having a major W and only getting a Freddo Espresso ($5), the white chocolate macadamia pressure began to set in. I began internally try and talk myself out of it. "Pressure is for tires. I don't need this cookie" ... "No pressure, no diamond. Who do you want to be J?" When our coffees came and there was no line, I folded like a lawn chair. I went up to the counter and bought the damn cookie. It was so damn good. The Devil won this round. I truly understand why they named this place Under Pressure Coffee. 4 stars though cuz it was lowkey expensive in here. IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov_reviews

We visited Under Pressure Espresso Bar with a group of five people for afternoon coffee and dessert. The decor is bright, simple and cozy. There is a great variety of options from drinks, desserts, pastries to ice cream. We had their coffee, ice cream and brought 2 muffins home. The coffee was not the best but pretty decent enough. Our favorite was their ice cream and it was creamy and flavorful. The muffins were delicious and we would like to try their cookies especially the ube flavor next time. The staff was friendly and attentive. They helped us move the table and umbrella to fit our request with patience.

This is a lovely coffee shop in Astoria with a wide variety of options—not just great coffee, but also sandwiches, pastries, cookies, and even coffee beans. The interior is bright, clean, and spacious, with both indoor and outdoor seating available. Food is purchased from a self-serve machine just inside the entrance—just tap the screen, pay by card, and your item is dispensed. I ordered a coffee, and it was fragrant and absolutely delicious. The calm atmosphere makes it perfect for getting some work done or catching up with friends. I’d definitely love to visit again☕️😉!

While the location is convenient, my visit left a lot to be desired. The coffee had a very bitter flavor, and the pastry I ordered was not worth the high price. Additionally, the outdoor seating area was a major drawback, as it was overrun with smokers, making it difficult to sit outside and relax. There are better options nearby if you're looking for quality coffee and a comfortable atmosphere.

I had been there before so I took some friends today, when we were in front of the desserts and tried to order an older woman who was a very rude employee told us that we had to order and pay at the cashier, maybe she thinks she's the nagging mother but she was very disrespectful, she kept speaking in Greek and told the cashier what we wanted and that we had to pay, I told her they were to go and she put each cupcake in a little bag, I asked for a to-go bag and napkins and paid, we were at the door and the same rude woman yelling told us to go back and pay because the machine didn't process the payment, we went back, paid and asked for the receipt and she replied no, that they only send them by text, why doesn't she print the paid invoice, is that my proof of purchase? Anyway, we went out and tried the cupcakes and they were hard and the flavor was very average, different from what I remembered, so I was very frustrated and I found a new bakery around the corner and managed to save the day. I'm sorry, we won't be back. We don't accept bad treatment from anyone, especially for a meal that has deteriorated a lot. I won't recommend them again. I visited them again today, but the service is getting worse every time. The cashier is very rude; she was only interested in tips, not service. The other employees acted indifferent to the customer. We waited over 15 minutes, and they never asked if we were eating there or taking it out. When we realized they had already served our coffee in a paper cup, it was lukewarm, and we waited longer for the rest of our order at the register. It was like they were doing us a favor, what a disaster. I don't recommend it.
