Great authentic Italian restaurant in a great area of Astoria. The staff is terrible and very accommodating. Been there with friends, family and had my daughters intimate Bridal Shower, which everyone raved about
Everything is delicious. Even their drinks were exceptional. Would highly recommend 🔥
One of our NYC favorite restaurants. The food is always excellent and the service very efficient and friendly. My family enjoyed another memorable dinner there last week, and we look forward to returning again soon. Simply outstanding!..
This is my favorite Italian spot in Astoria! It's a cozy restaurant that frequently has delicious specials and a consistently delicious menu. I have come here several times for dates and family dinners out to celebrate. I believe on one family celebration we meet the owner who was absolutely hilarious. He is a character in himself. He checked on us and thanked us for coming. I've never had a bad experience with their servers. They are always so friendly and able to answer my questions about the seasonal menu and the specials. FOOD: I am always looking out for their specials. I believe their menu rotates seasonally which I love because it takes advantage of what's in season. My husband's go to is the Pappardelle alla Bolognese (housemade ribbon pasta, meat sauce) For a lighter pasta I like to get Orecchiette with Sausage and Broccoli Rabe from their specials. I always recommend going with house made pasta! I've had a special with duck before which was also delicious. For appetizers their steak tartar was amazing and I really enjoyed their eggplant. Also...their house spicy olive oil tastes like chorizo and we LOVE it 100% recommend!
Warm, inviting atmosphere, and delicious traditional Italian food! Almost as if you’re transported right to the streets of Rome. Our food took quite awhile to come out of the kitchen, but it was worth the wait. Definitely would recommend for a date night!
One of the best places to eat pasta in the tri-state area… With excellent service, staff, and atmosphere. I highly recommend the dirty martini… And their limoncello digestive. Diego is an excellent server.
We went here for my sister’s birthday, and we all loved it! Not only was the food delicious the service and hospitality was EXCELLENT! We had the arancini, panzanella salad, & the Insalata dello Chef and all were delicious! I have to say the panzanella salad topped with burrata was one of the best panzanella salad’s I ever had! For entrees we had the linguini with clams, pappardelle bolognese, and rigatoni alla Norma and all were delicious! The portions were very generous too! The rigatoni alla norma could have used some more eggplant, but the eggplant it did have tasted excellent! For desserts we ordered two flourless chocolate cakes and one Nutella tiramisu. The desserts were very good too! In general I don’t like tiramisu, but the tiramisu here was delicious! The coffee flavor wasn’t over powering, and mascarpone was light and creamy. I highly recommend Vita Vinosteria in Astoria!
I've been looking to come to try this resto for like a month and it didn't disappoint. From the beginning to the last moment the service was incredible. The food was delicious also. We order the chicken and the stuffed pasta and every bite was glorious, the perfect balance in all the ingredients; I think the stuffed pasta should have more or at least one small side with it or maybe take it as and appetizer instead of as a entre as I think is a little bit small to be an entre. I am very happy with the food and experience in general and looking forward to come back and try other dishes.
I came here with my family to celebrate my mother's birthday, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We sat outside with our dog and they even brought her a water bowl which I thought was sweet. The food was delicious and portions were generous. I was also able to bring my own cake and the staff lit a candle and sang to my mother. I really appreciated that the staff was so attentive and kind. It was an overall lovely experience and I definitely recommend this spot for both casual and special occasions.
A few weeks ago, I had dinner at this nice place. The food here is absolutely delicious! Every dish we tried was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. I recommend the grilled octopus and the fies with a drink and burrata cheese to start. Be sure to try the daily specials. This time, it was Duck, and believe me, each bite was a wonderful sensation of flavors. The service was impeccable from start to finish. The staff is friendly, attentive and goes out of their way to ensure a memorable dining experience. Congratulations to the whole team! Thank you very much, Santiago, for your attention. The atmosphere is cozy, and the soft lighting and elegant decoration create the perfect place for any occasion. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. I highly recommend it!
Hands down my favorite restaurant in Astoria… actually NYC! The owners were trained in fine dining and have taken that experience and attention to quality to create a relaxed local neighborhood restaurant with phenomenal food and attentive service. This is a comfortable spot to take a date, group of friends or just yourself to sit up at the bar with the many regulars. You can’t go wrong with any of the items on their frequently changing specials board, which if your lucky include at least one of my three favorites… the Berkshire pork chop, smoked duck or porchetta dish. Frequent enough and it feels like family, even getting yelled at by Pino for trying to order a cappuccino in the evening!
Really nice and cozy Italian place. If you go there you would understand why they don’t take reservations. The food was amazing. They have some good Italian and german beers on the menu with a great wine selection. They have a full bar with great cocktails. Definitely try their specials.. they are amazing. Starting from Appetizers to deserts everything was just perfect. Kudos to their staff for making us feel so welcomed and making it a night to remember. Thank you for such a great experience.
Excellent wine restaurant in Astoria. Very cozy, and lovely atmosphere. Make sure to make a reservation since the place is not huge. Service is great, wine and food even better! Great pasta portions. Can’t wait to be back.
After a while, I returned to this restaurant; I believe it had been 5 years since I last ate here. The first time was love at first sight—the food was fantastic. I noticed that the menu had changed, which makes sense as everything evolves. I was delighted to find that their pizza was as delicious as I remembered. Five stars for the pizza—it was amazing! However, the other dishes were not what I expected. The service was impeccable; they were attentive and took care of everything with kindness. The atmosphere was cozy and friendly, allowing you to disconnect from the outside world and enjoy a good meal. Let’s start with the salad: Burrata e panzanella. The burrata was really good, but the salad itself was too sour. The mix of cucumber, red onions, tomatoes, and the dressing was okay, but the burrata didn’t work for me on that particular combination. I give it 3 stars. Next was the Melanzane alla Parmigiana. It was exquisite! Five stars! As for the Pollo Marinato, the chicken itself was good, but the arugula was too sour and plain. You really need to order a side of potatoes, spinach, or beans. The price didn’t match the dish, which is my only complaint. I give it 3 stars. The Linguine alle Vongole was good: 3.5 stars. We decided to try some desserts. I was curious about the Nutella Tiramisu; it was okay, but my favorite was the Tortino all Cioccolato, which was good. I give it 4.5 stars. I may return to enjoy the pizza, Tortino al Cioccolato, and Melanzane alla Parmigiana.
Nice location..lively area..parking is not so hard (Sunday). The restaurant was nice and cozy/romantic not amazing but above average. Clean and welcoming. Staff is wonderful and friendly and the service too. Food we ordered was delicious but a little pricier than normal. It tasted really good. We had cocktails which was Uuuugghhhhh! Skip the cocktails. Overall a pleasant experience. We had two dishes 28.95 and 31.95 and two cocktails 14.95 each + gratuity =$115.00 (pricey for two people) ..no sides were served just bread. My average dinner bill would be around 70$.
Wanted to like this place. Came here with my wife for her birthday since it had strong reviews and seemed promising. We were seated outside, but the waiter never told us about the daily specials. I later saw him walking around with the specials board for other guests, which was disappointing. The food itself was decent. My wife had the seafood pasta and enjoyed it. I ordered a pizza, which was just okay — the crust was thicker than expected, and the cheese was overly salty. Some ground pepper would have balanced it out nicely, but the only thing on the table was chili oil, and our waiter never came by to check on us or offer anything. Overall, the service was lacking, which really took away from the experience. With better attention to detail, this could have been a great spot.
