We ordered the Signature Set, which was really good overall. My favorites were the coconut shrimp and the salmon sarano—both packed with flavor and beautifully done. For appetizers, we added the tuna crudo, which was incredibly fresh and delicious—definitely one of my top bites of the night. The tuna dip was also excellent (clearly, we’re big tuna fans 😄). The only miss for us was the salad, which had a flavor profile that wasn’t quite our taste. That said, the drinks were great and the service was attentive and friendly. Overall, a great experience and a solid spot for creative hand rolls and fresh fish. Would absolutely come back.
I came with a somewhat larger group of my friends and we had a server I believe her name was Madelyn (curly hair and bangs) who was just an absolute darling!! We had the most fun and delicious night ever.
My husband surprised me and planned a lovely evening for us which included dinner on Saturday at Nami Nori in the Brooklyn location. We had the most amazing experience. In fact, this will be the longest review I ever wrote, but very well deserved. The manger, Noelle, was very personable and more than accommodating. My husband let him know we were on a time restraint and he went above and beyond along with Bianca, the hostess. We were made to feel like the most important people in th restaurant. Elliot and Giovanni were making th sushi that evening and every single piece was a different experience. Nothing short of amazing. You could feel the love and care that they put into every bite. The ambiance was great and we will definitely be going back! Thank you all!!!! Well done!.
SO CONSISTENTLY YUMMY & SUCH SWEET PEOPLE :) The People: We love Artura!! She’s an absolute sweetheart, she always remembers us, and she’s so kind & a wonderful server— emphasis on *serve* cause she’s stunningg! All the other women who work there are also so lovely - we often have a waitress with fringe who’s awesome - as is the manager Mary! Never had a more delightful service experience in the city :) Food: Incredibly consistent, always an insanely delicious experience! Never an off night with the food. We do a happy dance every time we get the Bamboo Shoots & the Scallop Temaki— Which is, every single time cause YUM! Also love that it’s all pescatarian; no “land animals” as they describe it <3 Lots of options for vegetarians too A rare combo of exceedingly fantastic service & phenomenal cuisine! Our favorite restaurant in NYC
What a great experience, we say at the sushi bar and got served. It was soooo delicious. I don’t have one complaint, my server was a sweet heart. I didn’t get his name unfortunately but he was Caucasian had glasses with a goatee. To start we got the caviar special and the tuna dip. As the main we got the signature set, spicy lobster, 2 winter specials, everything salmon, and crunchy scallops. To end it with a delicious mochi churros and sesame chocolate chip cookie. Everything was wow, will definitely come back!
Absolute must try!! Some of the best flavors my palette has ever experienced. I have been to both locations in NYC several times and food is always consistent. The Tuna Crudo appetizer is *chefs kiss* and leaves you wanting more. The “Matcharita” was perfectly mixed and balanced. Desserts are also a must try, especially their gluten free chocolate chip cookie. This BK location is bigger and allows of slightly larger groups compared to the one in Manhattan.
Service was excellent and the ambience of the restaurant was very well planned and executed. The large window and the aesthetic interior makes it an excellent place to sit and dine. The hand rolls used high quality and fresh ingredients, and the combination of flavors on some of them were very unique! Like the caramelized onions with fresh scallops, and the yuzu zest ships leaf with fresh shrimp. The only thing is each hand roll on average was around $8-9 and some others ranging more. So if you’re hungry it would be pricey to get full.
Unreal. The best hand roll sushi experience I’ve ever had. The Triple is insane: caviar, uni, toro tuna. Just wow. I like to come solo and just eat at the bar. Servers are usually American and interesting to talk to. I’ve been to the design district location in miami. Also amazing. Original location in the village great too. Highly recommend everyone to come here. Also the fig cheesecake desert was holy cow amazing.
Hands down the best temaki I’ve ever had. Every roll was fresh, perfectly balanced, and packed with flavor. You can taste the quality in every bite, the crisp nori, the seasoned rice, and the thoughtful combinations of ingredients. The menu is creative without being overcomplicated, with something for everyone from classic tuna to plant-based options. The vibe is casual but elevated, making it the perfect spot whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or lingering over a set with friends. Service was warm, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. If you love sushi, or even if you think you don’t, this place is a must. I’d go back in a heartbeat.
Nami Nori is our favorite place to eat Sushi! We find any excuse to bring family and friends to go! The staff is welcoming, accommodating and efficient. Eliot is a standout and enhances the experience with the passion in preparing and presenting the food. We can’t wait for our next visit!
By no doubt highly recommend if you are in the area. Very safe for allergies, fully gluten free. All the food was fresh and every bite surprised me more than it was before. Usually I am not a big fan of raw fish and sushi but this place really opened my mind to explore more! Sitting at the bar and not the table really made the experience more special.
The brunch experience was incredible. We took from the classic temaki selection and everything we tried was absolutely delicious (salmon avocado was the best). Those house made crispy rice chips were seriously addictive. Ambiance was warm and inviting & service was very kind. Will definitely be back !
Good food, good ambiance, good service. Didn't try the drinks menu. Hot green tea was nice. Tempura a little undercooked inside on the calamari but we didn't come there for the appetizers. Hand rolls were good. Staff friendly. The whole menu is a la carte, only the 3 sets at the bottom of the menu are fixed price. A tad confusing because at the top of the temaki section the menu says "choose any five".
The restaurant is cute and cozy, and the staff is friendly. The ambiance can be a bit loud, so you’ll need to stay close to talk, but overall, it’s a great spot for a casual dinner. The seafood is fresh, and I love the combination of different ingredients—it adds more layers to the roll. My favorite is the salmon skin. All the appetizers we tried were great. I’ll definitely come back!
We went on a busy night with no reservation and they were able to put us at the bar! The bartender was so kind. He made us great drinks and helped us with the menu. Everything we had was amazing! We each got one of the samplers and an added one. I highly recommend getting a variety. The atmosphere is very ascetically pleasing also! Very cute and clean!
They have amazing hand rolls! Everything is fresh and delicious. Our very friendly server recommended some dishes that we tried. We ordered hand rolls and appetizers, including the cucumber salad, shishito peppers, and tuna dip. Everything was outstanding. The atmosphere is super cute, I would definitely go again.
Bustling spot with a modern take on hand rolls. Our server was sweet, attentive and efficient. The maki tacos are sizeable - 2 bites even if you tend to take larger ones. Their recommendation to choose five maki is a good one, and should leave you sated, not overfull. Pre-fixe signature sets of 5 are available for the indecisive. Last night was the last evening for their winter menu - the kabocha and crunchy scallop were a treat. Other menu staple favorites were the triple and the coconut shrimp; the cucumber was a sleeper hit (the sesame paste made this). All textures were spot on - if an item was advertised as crunchy, it was. Balanced bites seasoned well with fluffy rice and crisp nori, and the novelty of eating with your hands made for a fun evening. If you’re looking for traditional maki, this isn’t it but it was enjoyable.
Understated and pleasant rather than extravagant, the restaurant offers a relaxed sense of Japanese simplicity. The coconut shrimp and crab dynamite were enjoyable bursts of flavor, though the classic temaki stood out for letting the quality of the fish speak for itself. A few dishes carry noticeable heat, so it’s worth asking if you’re sensitive to spice. With its clean design and easygoing atmosphere, it’s a comfortable spot to spend an evening.
I usually get takeout, but I finally had the chance to sit down and try the hand rolls. We started with the seasonal sake flight, which paired perfectly with the hand rolls. For small plates, we had the corn ribs, which were well-seasoned, and the spicy tuna dip—it was absolutely amazing. The hand rolls were incredibly fresh. We ordered the toro scallion, spicy crab dynamite, XO scallop, coconut shrimp, salmon Serrano, and aka ebi. I was a bit disappointed that they didn’t have the spicy lobster hand roll or the tempura misto available. For dessert, the Mochurros were fantastic—such an innovative combo of mochi and churros! I wasn’t a fan of the lemon curd that came with it, but the Mochurros were great on their own.
Had high expectations for this spot but honestly the food was nothing special, although we did have a lovely time dining here. The new location is spacious and has a lovely ambiance. Staff were super friendly and nice. The food was good but not really worth the price point in my opinion.
As a New Yorker, I had never done restaurant week. I decided to give it a try and this was the restaurant I went with. I can say that I’ll probably never do restaurant week ever again. The prefixe menu was barely a deal especially when some of the items can be purchased from the regular menu for cheaper. Thankfully they adjusted our bill when we noticed this. Other than that, the food just really wasn’t anything special. Staff was kind and attentive. The atmosphere was okay except the chairs at the bar tables were severely uncomfortable. I’m not that big of a person and only felt like one of my butt cheeks fit. For me the biggest miss was really the food. I was expecting to be blown away by flavor bombs and everything just fell short. Definitely not worth $100 pp. The spicy tuna dip was too fishy. But the spicy tuna hand roll was okay. I’m not giving the food any stars because it really wasn’t worth any to me.
