you could tell they had just been hit by a rush and when i came in it was just one girl working the front but she hustled i love her. eventually more people came in to help her but shout out her. food was good and filling not bad price for all the food we got
We had just gotten off the plane in Austin, rented a car, and set out to find some seafood. When I laid eyes on La Crawfish, I knew I'd come to the right place. We put together our own boil and came up with lobster (huge, meaty, succulent tail), a pound of crawfish, a pound of shrimp, double corn, double potatoes, and quadruple sausage all in the garlic butter and Cajun spice (spicy level hot). I added just a taste of gumbo with a margarita to wash it down, and Ya'll, it was the truth! Phenomenal flavors, ranging from the delicate lobster, easy-peel shrimp, in-season corn, robust sausage, and garlic for days. We cannot wait to go again!
Great food! Hidden gem. Go here for The food, the dining room isn’t beautiful nor is the painted on wall menu but the food was BOMB. The boil was actually “spicy” when I requested “spicy”. We had the gumbo, and the shrimp in a Cajun mixed with garlic butter boil, plus sausage and potatoes. I’m so stuffed but I wanted to keep eating. The Cajun pho was so good, it was more savory than usual pho broth and a little heavier. Cashier was helpful and she was friendly. Great spot, will return again with friends!
WHELP it finally happened! I finally got to a place i really wanted to eat at, because i have been here before and i absolutely love the food, only to find out i do not have enough to tip. I was devastated. However, our server was not. She actually was amazing throughout our entire experience. She made us feel like family. From the complimentary butter, to the oh so properly dressed drinks, she was 100% on point. And i did not tip. My goodness i felt like royalty with the level of service that this server/bartender was able to provide. Almost immediately upon entering we were greeted with a coloring page for our child. Now that is top tier. ALSO, i was otw to the bathroom, the same server looks down the hallway and says the code for the door! I didn’t even know about the keypad! This woman was on top of absolutely everything! I absolutely love this place and cannot wait to come back to make up for my misdeed.
Had a server with face tattoos by the name of Christian who had awesome communication skills not to mention great customer service!!!
So much flavor! What a wonderful surprise of different cultures and flavors blended together. I recommend the Crawfish Pho and the 5 Spice Basil wings. The gal working was friendly and generous. One of the best meals I've had in a long time. The wings had an accidental hint of beignet flavor and an extra crisp, it worked though! And the pho was like 3 countries mixed together. This place is weird, Austin, amazing.
Food was great prices were fair service was great christian our server was well mannered and polite
Me and my husband went to go eat we had an awesome time and the server was Christian
What a great restuarant. There was a great selection of food. Po Boys, shrimp, different types of crab, Crawfish, clams, wings. All delicious. Don't not miss out on the Rice... it was absolutely stunning. Just fantastic. I would go back everytime for just the rice. Got ours the spiciest... it was perfect. I cannot endorse the beignets. No way! Looked like French fries, but we're more like funnel cake sticks. Super greasy/oily. Tasted..o k. But the sauce at the bottom of the basket seemed like a honey type mixture (making them similar to sopapillas). They were dusted with powdered sugar. Don't do it! Sorry. But we will be back. Seafood was amazing. Great rice. Great flavor.
We discovered this restaurant purely by chance—our original destination next door was packed, so we decided to give this place a try instead. And wow, are we glad we did! The food was outstanding from the very first bite. My husband ordered one of the curry dishes and couldn’t stop raving about it. I went with the Iron Seafood Combo—messy, yes, but irresistibly delicious. The flavors were so bold and fresh that I was still savoring them long after we left. This is the kind of restaurant that leaves you planning your next visit before you’ve even finished your meal. We can’t wait to come back for more!
The seafood is really good. I love it. The shrimp po-boy is awesome.
Wow, this is a hidden gem! Prices are so reasonable. I had the awesome garlic noodles it’s a must-have! We tried the cheesy seafood rolls 10/10 everything was so good and we had great, fast service, certainly will be back to try their seafood boil.
Super quick service and nice staff. Austin is really lacking on seafood places but I feel like this place closes that gap. They offer a boiling crab type place and has everything to fit your needs. The sauce is good and they can give you the ingredients to make your own (Asians know what I’m talking about) if needed. It’s a nice place to relax and eat with your family!

As soon as I came in and was eyeing the drink menu, the staff started to suggest different drinks that they loved! I love that kind of service! Also, I love that they have customizable boils, with a list of things you can add on!

The best crawfish boil in town! Had to come back for 2nd time just one day later! I like their garlic butter flavor.

Amazing service, atmosphere and food! Portions are great, everyone is so friendly and everything tastes amazing. If you want a great place to enjoy a great evening you should def visit; also ask for Juan!
Christian is absolutely incredible! From the moment you meet him, you can tell he’s genuine, professional, and passionate about what he does. His face tattoos give him a bold, unforgettable look, but it’s his kindness, skill, and attention to detail that truly stand out. He goes above and beyond to make sure everything is done perfectly and that you feel comfortable the entire time. And on top of all that, the food was amazing — fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. If you’re looking for someone talented, reliable, and authentic, Christian is your guy. Highly recommend — five stars all the way!
I was visiting Austin and I had one of the best experience at the best Crab fish you could possibly ever had in Austin, Texas or even Texas overall! I was provided the best service by this handsome tattoo face man who made the experience fast and Efficient. I believe his name was Christian! Thank you man! The food was off the chain!! I highly recommend you check them out!! I am from Garland Texas and I will be bringing more of my family here!
Came to Austin to be at the NASCAR race and stopped and ate here. It was good food. Seafood boil, crawfish pho, and chicken pho. Very good. I’m from Dallas.
Food was great my service was even greater Christian if ur there ask for Christian face tattoos. He has the best customer service skills. Fast and very great at communication
I ordered a boiled shrimp with cajun sauce. They serve head on shrimp. White rice is okay. Shrimp is good but taking off the head needs little bit extra work. Friendly worker
The staff is very friendly and there to accommodate. The menu needs to be written better to make it an easier read. The magic rice was good but the cajun curry dish was made perfect. Ask for extra spicy. Nice and clean restaurant.

I miss the Older woman who worked here very attentive and sweet. I ordered a pound of crawfish hot. I got what I asked for when I was on crawfish number 15 I was struggling to breathe. However the crawfish was dry and I didn't like that. I enjoyed the Magic Cajun rice was super good!
LA Crawfish has a lot of potential, but this visit was really mixed for me. (I have previously visited locations in Houston for comparison.) The garlic butter Cajun flavor plus extra spicy level on the crawfish was fantastic: super bold, good flavor of heat (but not what I would consider extra), and exactly what I want from Viet‑Cajun style. The downside was the crawfish itself; it was obviously overcooked and tasted like it had been sitting in a holding pan for a while, which really killed the texture and took away from how good that sauce was. It was a mix of sizes, which is neither here nor there, but providing the details for awareness. The surprise highlight was the 5 spice basil wings. They were crispy, juicy, packed with flavor, and double-fry goodness. I would absolutely come back just for those. Overall, the flavors are there, but the execution on the crawfish needs attention, so this visit lands at 3 out of 5 stars.
I got the magic Cajun rice. Crawfish and added sausage. I could literally count on one hand how many pieces of crawfish was in it. The flavor was there. But for $17 it's a no go. Alot of rice. SMH!!

Respectfully I'll never eat from this place of business! I decided to give this restaurant a try I was in the mood for seafood heading to work “bad decision”. I order a surf and surf giving them a chance four shrimps, two pieces of tilapia, and a drink $15 wow! Once i was able to stop and eat this what I saw in my box I understand my food was ordered to go. The presentation was not appetizing at all. I should have look at the reviews before ordering from here. Whatever the reviews say I'll believe them from now on since I moved here from Georgia.
I had high hopes for this place, but it was a complete letdown. The shrimp and crawfish were clearly frozen, not fresh, which ruined the entire experience. When I took a bite, the shrimp were mushy and completely flavorless. The crawfish weren’t any better—the texture was off, and whatever they were cooked in didn’t help because the seasoning was weak. The crawfish boil tasted watered down and bland, like they barely tried. If you’re looking for good seafood, I’d suggest going somewhere else because this place isn’t it.
Got 3 pounds of crawfish! Sausage. Eggs. And corn. Delivered! Worse experience by far. zero eggs or sausage. They forgot it! 70% of the crawfish was mush and would not even come out of the shell. Wasted at least a pound and half that I couldn't even eat. How can this situation be resolved.
The food was absolutely terrible! Starting with the fried crawfish tails, they were drenched in grease, and the grease tasted old. As soon as I bit into them, my mouth was overwhelmed with an unpleasant, greasy taste. It seemed like the grease was so old it had taken on a non-food chemical flavor. I had to brush my teeth and use mouthwash right away because it was that bad. I also tried their gumbo, and it tasted like it had been reheated after sitting for a week. The crawfish and shrimp meat were incredibly rubbery. Tbh I’m writing this review just in case I don’t wake up tomorrow because something about those fried crawfish tails wasn’t right. My stomach still feels off and I still have a bad taste at the back of my mouth. . Without a doubt, this was the worst gumbo and fried crawfish tails I’ve ever had! I want to add.. the Cajun garlic butter didn’t taste good and everything was cold. I wish I could give them zero stars.
DO NOT GO HERE. I spent $92 (including a tip) on King crab legs and sausage. Not only did they have the audacity to bring out snow crab legs, it was maybe one cluster of legs…? When I spotted the difference I asked for a refund because what I ordered was not delivered and then proceeded to deal with a rude associate. I mean who in their right mind pays $92 for a single cluster, half a sausage and the wrong freaking food??? Did not even touch the food they prepared and they could not correct the situation. Worst customer experience I have EVER HAD IN AUSTIN. I will NEVER go back to this restaurant - it’s a joke of an establishment
The quality was not there at all. The seafood was spoiled in pretty sure we all got ill the next day. Please do not come here
I did a pick up order and my husband put it under his name and I went to go pick it up the lady behind the counter an older lady who acted as if she guarded the food with her life. I told her my husband's name and she was extremely rude and said next time it has to be him to pick it up. Food was ok but the service stank. My husband was very upset how she acted towards me and now we may not eat here ever again beacuse of the service.
I was really looking forward to trying La Crawfish after hearing good things, but unfortunately, my visit left me disappointed and frustrated. We ordered a dozen oysters, specifically 4 Korean BBQ, 4 Japanese Yuzu, and 4 Thai Chile. What we received were 12 plain oysters with only lime and Valentina hot sauce on the side—not at all what we ordered. When I went up to the register to politely ask about it, the young man behind the counter just looked at me and said, “Is something wrong?” I explained, “Yes, we ordered flavored oysters—Korean BBQ, Japanese Yuzu, and Thai Chile. There’s no sauce on them.” He just stared at me for a moment and then said he’d go ask the cooks. A few minutes later, he came back to tell us that those sauces “weren’t made yet.” This was at 6pm on a Friday night—peak dining time—and somehow the kitchen wasn’t ready with any of the featured sauces? No one warned us when we ordered, and we were just served plain oysters as if we wouldn’t notice. That’s incredibly disappointing and honestly feels like a lack of respect for the customer. We were offered a refund only if we returned the oysters, which made it feel like the burden was on us even though the restaurant dropped the ball. Overall, there was no real apology, no effort to make it right, and certainly no hospitality. La Crawfish may have a fun menu, but based on this experience, they seriously lack preparation and customer care. I won’t be going back.
Ordered through DoorDash today and crawfish tastes bland, fishy taste and overcooked.
Food is TERRIBLE! No seasoning no Flavor just sea water HORRIBLE 0/10 I do not recommend!!!
Horrible customer service. Came with my daughter’s basketball team to celebrate a win and a birthday, and I was charged for something I didn’t order. I addressed the issue and instead of the host correcting it she argued and was very disrespectful even after the manager fixed the charge. The manager didn’t address the behavior. Overall, the customer service was terrible, and I left feeling disrespected. I do not recommend this restaurant, as they need to seriously improve their customer service and professionalism.
Ordered take out, because I came across their Instagram and wanted to give them a shot. I really wanted to like it, but after 7 crawfish in. It was not hitting in the flavor, spice, or quality department. I’d say the pros were it was presented alright, the up charge for a takeout tin is weird so opted for whatever their standard is (styrofoam box & boil bag) I ended up cutting my own damn serranos and putting spices to rebake the bag because it was BLAND, MILD, and the overall taste as is was just the taste of watered down sea water. I’d love to know more before judging the overall product, but something is lacking in this crawfish preparation and quality. Left me seriously wanting for something else, because it was not hitting like I wanted it to. Would be down to give this a retry if they could up their spice and crawfish game by 3 notches. Also just dingy, low lit, and kinda weird dark vibe from the outside. Like I was walking into Batman’s lair.
used to love this place, especially their Salt and Toasted Shrimp — it was always flavorful, crispy, and well-seasoned, thanks in large part to the tall manager from 2021 or 2022 who clearly knew how to run the kitchen. Unfortunately, the quality has gone downhill since his absence. Over my last five visits (both dine-in and delivery), the shrimp has gone from my favorite dish to something I can barely recognize. What used to be a perfectly seasoned dish with crisp veggies like peppers and onions has turned into plain, greasy fried shrimp with zero flavor and no vegetables. It’s honestly frustrating — the seasoning is completely off, and it looks and tastes like it was cooked in old oil. I kept giving them chances, hoping it was just a bad day, but today was the final straw. If anything, with rising prices, I’d expect the quality to remain consistent — not deteriorate. I’m taking a long break from this place. I hope they reevaluate their kitchen standards and possibly reconnect with the leadership that made them great in the past The first pic is what you get today, the second pic is what you USE to get
The food was ordinary and nothing special, but the worst part was this plate - it only had four shrimp and way too much rice. I didn't order rice like that, and this meal is basically not edible."
Went here today and ordered a pound of shrimp...they brought me 10 shrimp in a boil. When I question the validity of the pound.. I was told that it would be the same weight as if it had the head on it.. so my next question will be do you know how much each individual head of a shrimp weighs?..a pound is a pound where I am from and clearly we are not from the same place...the math isn't mathing. That was the dumbest explanation I've ever been told...come at your own risk! For you too will fall victim of a pound not being a pound...... I guess the owner of store manager can reach out to decent reviews but I hadn't heard anything
Server had no recommendation for us. (First time customers). Drink machines were down. The food was super cold. Crab legs had little to no meat inside as if they plucked them before serving. Shrimp were not clean and still had poop inside of them and super soft that they were falling apart like ribs (overcooked) The presentation of the food was nice. They should spend more time on making sure the temperature food is just as correct.
Even if you come from the desert and starving. Do not come here. Shrimp was mushy inside and over cooked. They do not offer headless shrimp. The only things edible were the snow crabs and rice, but that's about it. Never again will I return. Try your shrimp at the counter before you leave. You have been warned ⚠️

Food was good, but the service was awful. The guy at the front counter had zero customer service skills — dismissive, zero communication, zero awareness, and on his phone the entire time. Dealing with him took way more patience than it should’ve for a basic order. This was disappointing because the first time I came in, the woman at the counter was great and made the experience enjoyable. Huge contrast. I get that times are tough and places are short-staffed, but this guy should not be in a customer-facing role. You can definitely do better. That’s you face tat stitches.
I’ve been here before a few years ago and it was amazing!! Picked up yesterday, Once I ate the food I noticed it was so bland and lacking of ALOT flavor. Shrimp was also mushy. (YUCK) Spent about $30. Was it worth it? No not really. Tried giving it a shot after seeing bad reviews don’t bother spending your money unless you want bland mushy shrimp. 😷
