I’ve had the privilege of dining at hundreds of restaurants across the country through my work with some of the world’s top loyalty dining programs and 888 genuinely stopped me in my tracks. From the moment I walked in, the experience was on point. The egg rolls were crispy, light, and served with perfectly pickled accompaniments that showed real attention to detail. The mongolian chicken was recommended by our server and it did not disappoint. What impressed me equally was the service. Thoughtful, professional, and genuinely warm the kind of hospitality that turns first-time guests into regulars. I work in the loyalty dining industry, connecting high-spending members with restaurants that meet an exceptional standard. 888 not only meets that bar it clears it. I’ll be reaching out to the ownership team directly, because a restaurant of this caliber deserves to be in front of the right audience. First time here upon arrival it was busy business was booming for sure , it was a very family oriented restaurant, everyone from the host to the kind serves were amazing and have personality !! We were brought water and ordered our drinks for starts we had the imperial shrimp , shrimp wrapped and fried crispy and golden 10/10, my significant other had the yellow curry it was THE BEST CURRY we have had .. the balance of flavors were immaculate 10/10. I came for the pho I had a chicken and shrimp broth it was a light broth with little to no flavor , I had the egg noodles with it I loved the texture of them I just thought the broth would have wayyy more flavor so I’d give it a 1/10 , I would def try another pho . And we would come back here to try different plates. The portions you get for the price are amazing!!
Best krab rangoons I’ve had in a long time. Big, crunchy, fluffy, and stuffed full. Duck rice noodle stir fry and lemongrass vermicelli were both delicious. Portions are big and served surprisingly fast. Service is very friendly, fast, and efficient. Can get busy but everyone is still taken care of in good time.
The food was great. We did ask them to sweep.The staff was polite and helpful with menu information. I will be back.
888 is a staple for any old ATX people who still love the familiarity of their beloved town. They were one of the few that didn't fall to the 'Ronie Days of 2020, and they were one of the first to be available to the public when things went catty wonkus. I've been coming here since my oldest was a toddler, and the long-timers who are holding it down have more or less seen my youngest grow from a tiny spam-baby to a full tweeny monster. The older crew (the ones who have worked there longest) always remember us and always make us feel taken care of. The food is fast and delicious and you'll most likely have enough to take home or you can share a dish with a friend, as most dishes are generous portions. Our favorites are pho, any of the curries, Tom Kha, orange chicken, crab rangoons, and the vermicelli bowls. The salmon curry is also amazing. They had a little bit of a makeover a year or so ago, but it didn't take away from the overall charm of the old 888 vibe they had going. Among the few servers we adore, Binh is our standout man. He's kind, thoughtful, expedient and has the best sense of humor. He hustles his bum off and goes out of his way to make sure not just the tables are taken care of, but I always see him helping out with other servers on top of his own tables. If I ever worked with him in a demanding and fast paced environment, I'd be in really strong and upbeat company. Like Jose at Cheko's, Binh has become a wonderful ATX fixture that deserves some love and praise. Mess with Binh and you mess with me and my kiddos! 🫵🏼 Put it this way, if I ever won the powerball jackpot, not a lot of people would know, but Binh would get a huge surprise from my little family.
Awesomely delicious food! We went in to eat, we were greeted & placed our orders. The chicken was super delicious & the service was great. Plenty of parking when we went. Food is priced right,as travelers this is why we dropped by. Would love to go back but traffic in Austin sucks.
I love this place! My son lives on Willow Creek and is there at least 3 times a week lol and it’s where I wanna go when I visit every other week. The Orange Tofu is off the chain! My friend had the Pad Thai with chicken and Shrimp. She loved it. Can’t wait to go back in a week ☺️ the only inconvenience is that they don’t open till noon on Sunday. Wish it was 11, but I’ll wait.
I stopped at Barton Creek mall to kill some time before my flight and my Nordstrom sales associate recommended me this place so I came straight here and they did not disappoint. I got the oxtail pho. The broth was so flavorful before I even added anything. 10/10
Very nice restaurant that opens till late night! We randomly walked in and were surprised by the good vibe and warm service. We order pho - which is really authentic - we are very picky about pho soup base. We also had chicken wings - good sweet sauce. Roast duck with four season sauce is also pretty good but portion is small. I also ordered papaya salad with shrimp- I was told it was grilled shrimp but it came out not grilled. Overall it’s a good place. I would recommend you to order pho.
Delicious food and super fast service even though the restaurant was packed. Unfortunately they don't take reservations so if you go there on the weekend, you may have to wait in line unless you're really lucky.
Food was excellent. Pho was amazing. Thr beef inside was so tasty and tender. Sweet and sour chicken was great. Portions were massive, enough for two meals at least. Service was perfect and the prices reasonable.
I’m not sure why it took me so long to dine here. It is so good. They have a wide range of viet, Chinese, and Thai food. The food comes out quick. The service is direct. It’s a great spot for Asian food. The prices are great, and the portions are awesome!
Came here with a group. We all got different types of Phó and all loved ours! The broths for all of them were very flavorful and satisfying. The noodle and meat portions were very generous. It all came with a side of garnishes which was much appreciated. Definitely coming back here!
This is by far the best restaurant in Austin! The food is incredible, the portions are huge, it is so worth your money and wait! It is so popular that every single table is full, you should expect to wait. The food is seriously absolutely amazing. It’s incredibly flavorful, and Vietnamese food is incredibly healthy too so you feel so good about yourself! The servers are super hard-working too.
This place is absolutely amazing. I got the general tso chicken with fried race and a dessert of mango sticky rice. The food came out very quick but was steaming hot and very flavorful. I’m a veteran and after appointments at the VA, I always come here. It’s such a relaxing environment and the food is amazing. Very large portions and very affordable. The staff are super friendly and always on time when I need something.
first time visiting! we were greeted and sat as soon as we walked in. our server was very friendly and the food came out very hot and fresh! we tried the shrimp fried rice, shrimp lo mein and another dish i forgot! everything was DELICIOUS!!! it is a must try if you are a fan of this food!!
The portions here were huge! The service was unusually attentive for an Asian restaurant. Very spacious interior and vibrant. They were very friendly too. The pho was piping hot and delicious. The food came very fast and they had no issues splitting checks. Plenty of free parking. Will visit again the next time I’m in Austin.
Everything about this place was excellent, the food was so delicious! The steamed Dumplings 🥟 were stellar, I had to order a second order! 🐽. I put that dumpling sauce on everything!!! I ordered the Flat rice noodles with chicken and beef which was divine and the bestie ordered the BBQ pork fried rice which was also very tasty, top that meal off with the mango sticky rice and awesome service and you get a five star review! I most definitely will recommend and will definitely come here again!! 💯

This is my first time here I didn’t even know existed. It’s so so so so so good!! We had the pork fried rice, which that was good,, the pho soup was good! I think the next time I go, I will have to try other stuff just to get a fill for it… The place was very busy had quite a bit of people so you know you’re getting good quality!! The service was good because the waiters were just right there and always picking up stuff and bringing you what you needed! So thank you

Sticking to tradition, the portion-to-price ratio is excellent. You won’t leave hungry, and the fact that rice comes included (and in a generous portion!) is a refreshing throwback in a world where everything isn’t à la carte. The dishes are flavorful, leaning a bit heavy on garlic and onions — which some will love and others may find a touch bold — but overall the food quality is solid and comforting. Nothing overly fancy, just honest cooking and a familiar atmosphere that hits exactly what you want when you’re in the mood for classic Asian comfort food. We’ll definitely be back.
This place came up in our restaurant search on the way home, and we decided to give it a try, and we're really glad we did. This seems to be a hidden gem bc this plaza looks almost dead, but when you go inside the restaurant, it's packed full of people who already know this place is good. The service was great, they even asked if we had any allergies to peanuts or mushrooms. Most of the dishes are single serving, but they are so huge you can share family style. The combination vermicelli bowl was massive and they give you a ton of meats, veggies, noodles, and the lemongrass seasoning was great without being too heavy handed. The crispy noodles birds nest dish was also massive and delicious, I like to mix up the noodles in the sauce so they get a little softer. The sizzling lemongrass beef plate was my favorite dish, and they also gave me a huge side of rice. The beef was so tender and flavorful, I thought I couldn't finish it, but I ate it all cuz it was soooo good! Well, the secret is out, this place is awesome, prices are great and portions are huge, you definitely get your bang for the buck! I highly highly recommend this place. Came back with the rest of my family and we all tried their Pho, and it was really really good. The broth was beefy and flavorful, and there was tons of meat and rice noodle. The tendon was actually cooked perfectly. One of my favorite dishes here. 5/2025 - hadn't been here in a while. Brought my parents here to try the food and everything was either a little too sweet or not as good as before. The Ba Luc Lac doesn't come on a hot plate so that was a let down. I may not come back for awhile.

I was really disappointed with the pho here. I live super close, and I was so excited to see people’s good reviews of this place that I basically walked to it. The noodles portion was little. The broth was just not giving anything. I had to dump a lot, A LOT of sauce into it to make it taste better. It honestly had no taste. The bean sprouts were not fresh. It looks so yummy in the picture, but I did not even finish the whole thing because the taste fell flat and not worth the price.
We started with the duck tacos, which had good flavor, though there was more lettuce than duck. The pork was on the dry side, and the rice could have used a bit more seasoning. The part that impacted our visit the most was the pacing of the service. While the staff was friendly, we felt a bit rushed—they brought the check before we had finished eating, even though the restaurant wasn’t busy at the time. Overall, it wasn’t the right fit for us, but others may have a different experience.
