I keep coming back. This place is hands-down the best Mexican restaurant in Austin Texas great prices decent service really really good food
I was impressed that the Covid safety rules were being followed good. The waitress did a good job. The chicken fajitas taco I ate had good flavor and it was a well made taco. I plan to eat there again.
I love the food here. Didn't know restaurants like this still exist. My plate was filled with so much food. A fair price too.
Food was delicious, generous, and priced fairly. Our server was very polite and attentive. Atmoshphere is very casual.
Breakfast is served all day, and the migas are great! The chicken Gorditas and the Jalisco burrito and also phenomenal!! A new favorite for sure!!
The food here is excellent. Usually the services are promptly served, yet even on their busiest days the waitresses are jovial and very polite.
This place is amazing reminds me of my grandmothers food! Staff is so nice. Great prices. All about the food!
Best Mexican Food in Austin Texas! Very authentic and the service is amazing considering there is always one lady at night! So much for for the price too! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Great food for the money. Fresh hot made the way you want. Friendly staff.
Good food, fast and cheap. Authentic AF. If you want real border of Mexico tacos for a delicious, satiating lunch, look no further. Que rico!
First time here and this place was awesome! Authentic texmex! I am a cheese person so the cheese matters! Theirs was great! And the charro beans were to die for. My new favorite place!!
I Love This Place To Eat The Table Waiters Are Gorgeous And Respectful And Excellent Services Friendly With A Beautiful Smile You Can Feel The Attention They Give You The Prices Are Excellent Too The Food Is Excellent I Tell Everyone About This Place And The Food Is Soo Good You Get Full Because The Dishes They Serve You Are To Die For Because Their Is Soo Much Food You Have To Take It Home Because They Give You More Then What You Can Handle You Leave Very SATISFIED Makes You Want To Go Back For More
Delicious! I love this place. All the food is good, the prices are excellent, and the portions are great. Highly recommend.
Walked in to place an order for takeout, ordered two 1.99 breakfast tacos thinking they are probably regular size tacos,Man they put a good size portion in them,I should of just ordered one.👍
If I could give 100 stars I would!!! This is literally my FAVORITE restaurant. I go with my husband about twice a week. We get the #2 plate - shrimp (12!), chicken, and Carne plus allll of the fajita sides! The service is exceptional. We're barely starting to drink our drinks when the food is coming out (typically about 7min)! We get enough food to eat dinner, breakfast next day, lunch, and another dinner (!!!!!) FOR $23!!! . And trust me, it is SOOOO GOOOD you'll WANT to eat it 4 meals in a row!!! I recommend going on a Fri, Sat, or Sun as the service and cooks are a little bit better. But ANY day is still amazing 🌟 👏 🙏🙌❤️
Awesome place to get tacos big portions good salsa I will visit again
This is the absolute best and most authentic Mexican restaurant I've visited in Austin or Southern California. Three women in my family make Mexican rice; not as good as this establishment. The enchiladas and the refried beans were delicious, and the platter portions would've easily served three. The menu is extensive, the prices fair, and the servers were kind, attentive, and efficient.
Burrito Guisada! With a beer this Burrito could be two full meals, but I still want to eat another even though I'm stuffed. Several Caguama options. Flavorful salsas, house flavor, friendly kinda place a hobo could walk through and get a cup of water for 50c that someone in the place gave him.
Stayed in this area for a week, ordered breakfast tacos 3xs from this location. Absolutely amazing in taste, fresh and hot ingredients, and consistently good every morning. Best Verde salsa!
The tacos here are so yummy and for a good price! I love coming here for lunch.
We stopped on our way to a wedding...and I am sooo glad we did!! The food was absolutely delicious!!
Always great food, big portions at a very reasonable price. The ladies are always kind and your food arrives quickly. It's my go-to spot for tacos.
Huge portions, small but it feels comfortable like home. Great homemade hot sauces. I love a place that cooks bacon all the way done!! Will definitely be back 👌
The chilaquiles were absolutely amazing. It’s also a lot of food for a very good price. I had the chilaquiles with red sauce and my roommate with green and they were both delicious so pick your poison. We were there first thing in the morning, so they were able to take their time making our food which they did but it was still ready and delicious relatively quickly. Definitely going back for more.
Ordered online and food showed up still warm and was delicious with great portion size. Probably the best Mexican food I've had in Austin!
This place has the best value. They load up the tacos with plenty of meat. The green salsa is good.
Excellent food. Huge portions, good prices. Server was doing everything, poor guy was swamped, but so friendly.
The food is good and reasonably priced. Love the packed breakfast taco.
Affordable. And honestly by far the biggest breakfast tacos for under$3 (Large portions) 🤩🥰. #MomLife
Well the food was great and haha the scene did remind me of my TJ exploring days and the service was simple and direct, But then again I do speak Spanish, I heard people do orders in English too.
Awesome food. Can't beat the quantity for the price. If you don't eat here. Well you're really missing out. You can't find better. Youll go hungry any where else. I promise youll take it in a togo box.
My breakfast tacos were so delicious. It was a great experience and prices are very reasonable. Definitely coming back and recommending to my relatives. 🫶🏻
Beyond measure you'll want to comeback
I give the tacos 8/10 (10being the best) and this is one if the best priced spot in town! And no just because it's on the cheaper side doesn't make the quality bad. And yea and that tacos are SUPER FAT!! 🤤
Food price is not over price! And portions are amazing! Not to mention the food overall tastes amazing! I will continue to order food from here!
Excellent service and clean set up! Delicious Mexican food. Love their Mexican shrimp cocktail ...and their barbacoa tacos are top quality!! worth the price. A+++
The BEST bang for your buck tacos! I’ve been going here for about 5 years now. Have NEVER disappointed me. If there was ever an issue I communicate that with them and it was fixed. Their red and green sauce’s are killer.
Always Great food and excellent service. Above all the prices won't break your wallet. My Favorite place to eat.
Big portions and great flavor. The Carne asada a la .Mexican was awesome!!
First time in and I came for the birra tacos. Was not disappointed. They were the absolute best I have found. With onions, cilantro, and a lime on the side and stuffed with plenty of meat and cheese. I was happy it did not come with rice and beans and was plenty full when done. The secret is it's not on the menu but I was told it's one of the best sellers. That should tell you everything you need to know. Thanks for a great lunch.
Delicious sit down spot in N. Austin. Chips are thick and the red and green salsas have a good kick. The portions are very generous and the street tacos were piled high with sautéed onions. This will be our go-to local place for good Mexican food.
The food was absolutely delicious. Best refried beans and rice I've had in a very long time. My burrito was amazing as well. The staff were very friendly.
For the first time I visited this place, 2 days ago. I gotta say I was not expecting such amazing food. The portions are great the prices are cheap. Absolute good quality food. However : When I was eating and looking around I saw the blinds that I was sitting next to were dusty & dirty. I recommend keeping the place clean all around specifically where people eat for sanitary purposes. I hope this gets to the owner, I definitely wanna go back a 3rd time, but please keep the blinds clean and I will become a loyal customer. EDIT: I ended up going again yesterday and I gotta say it's much more enjoyable eating next to the windows without dust & dirt on the blinds: 5-Stars.
This is my favorite Mexican restaurant this side of town. Their migas, breakfast tacos, enchiladas, regular tacos, burritos, literally everything I’ve had from their menu has been amazing.
Such a wonderful place if dining or even just ordering to go. As a culinary chef I highly recommend the tacos and enchiladas always a go to item. Any of the tacos are great priced and nice size as they should be. Love this place it feels like family!!
I eat there every chance I get. The chicken or beef fajitas are the best. They also have modelo beer and a good healthy soccer game on tv. Try it you will come back.
Easily accessible for mobility impaired person's, the waitress' are nice and friendly, very neat and clean surroundings, and the food is absolutely delicious.
The food is good here and portion sizes are great. The atmosphere is a little lacking. The waitstaff is prompt and courteous.
I was in a hurry so I stopped at this restaurant that I used to eat all the time.. This location used to be a family owned BBQ restaurant but now it's a family owned Tex-mex restaurant. I ordered a to go order with was a pound of barbacoa with cilantro and onions with 10 tortillas. It was a perfect dinner for the family and no complaints of the food. I will say the server were nice just didn't work with a purpose I waited a bit longer than I should have. To the establishments defense they may have been short staffed like many other places. Thank you for the great food and kind service.
I personally didn't eat it but my wife did, and she is a picky and actually like it. I got 2 chorizo and eggs with cheese taco and a lemonade. Paid about $6. Must say, it look really good. Getting one for myself next time
If you order tacos make sure you get the handmade tortillas, the portion is big and you'll probably only eat 1 or 2. Overall they are tasty tacos . Also, if you're in a mood for beef nachos give them a try.
I ordered torta de milanesa and was delicious. My wife ordered taco de res and same delicious. But she ordered tacos de tripas not so good. It had little stones. Horchata very sweet and tasty waitress courteous and attentive.
Mi Linda Jalisco offers a reliably satisfying taste of Jalisco, though with some predictable elements. Let's start with the positives: their queso, while undoubtedly simple to prepare, hits all the right notes. Creamy, cheesy, and flavorful, it's an easy appetizer to enjoy. Similarly, the beans served here are commendable, possessing a rich, earthy taste that complements the other dishes well. However, the rice unfortunately falls short. It tastes distinctly like a basic Goya packet variety, lacking the nuanced flavors that could elevate the meal. As for the entrees, they deliver exactly what one expects from standard Jalisco-style cooking. The dishes are consistently prepared and offer a comforting familiarity, though perhaps without much in the way of surprise or innovation. Overall, Mi Linda Jalisco presents a dependable option for a straightforward Mexican meal. The excellent queso and flavorful beans are definite highlights. If you're seeking familiar and consistently good Jalisco fare without any frills, this restaurant fits the bill. Just don't expect any culinary fireworks.
Far from pretty, but the food is pretty good. Especially the Birria tacos. pretty generous portions also.
Could be a bit better service and food quality. But still a decent go to.
I called in my order for pick up , lady on the phone took my order i asked for a total since i work close by i wanted to take the correct amount, she said she couldnt give me a total ? Like what ? Ok whatever other than that Food was ok , very huge amount, prices dont match their menu/reviews . I also ordered an horchata i was served from an open pitcher in the fridge & not from the machines they have running that was the least pleasant.
This place food is good but the ladies sometimes just attend the men better than if you are a woman. I’ve been forgotten many times.
Friendly service and good prices, but the food needed more taste. The chips and salsa were not my favorites and the enchiladas are made with flour tortillas which is not something I’m used to.
Huge portion sizes tacos. Sometime more isn’t better. In this instance that is very much the case. Not bad just too much.
It took them 30 mins after I ordered just a cup of salsa. Salsa was good but didn't think it would take that long just to pour in a cup
I really cannot make up my mind about this place. Portions are large, wait staff friendly but everything else is a coin toss. Quality seems to vary by who is looking.and you ever know this. For two visits in a row, I chose from the menu a lunch advertised at $6:00 and change but paid over $11:00. The drink was at least 3 times larger than regular.
I’ve always really liked and posted from this place. But today the ground beef in my burrito wasn’t ground beef. Some further dilution of the actual meat with filler than I’ve ever seen. Maybe it’s the Texas Dept of Corrections VitaPro, I don’t know what they are thinking. Don’t eat the ground beef.
Service is ok but I’m looking for real Mexican enchiladas not the texmex version. Every restaurant I’ve tried serves their version of the red sauce unfortunately they all add oil and flour and usually the cumin is all that you taste in their sauce.
Not the best quality food. Service is fine but nothing special. I came here a couple of years ago when they first opened and remembered good food at cheap prices. This time, I didn't get either, so with so many other options in the area I won't be back. Perhaps if they used leased canned items and more products prepared on the spot, they could salvage something
To start the coffee is not good even for a place that sells standard coffee. The non dairy creamer made it worse. Service was good until I asked for a fresh cup of coffee. The tortillas are not hand made and not very good. What is the deal with restaurants not making hand made fresh tortillas in Austin? Guess I’m spoiled frowning up in San Antonio. Restaurants will go out of business if they don’t provide fresh tortillas. You can only get them in high end restaurants. I ordered the huevos Mexicanos with refied beans and they were just okay. The pan fried potatoes were the best part of the meal. Will not be returning.
The food was spectacular but the service SUCKED. The waitress was hateful from the start. You could tell she doesn't like white people. She brought us our drinks, and my husband tried to tell her we were ready to order and she just walked off. We tried to get her attention for 5 minutes so we could order. She kept rolling her eyes at my husband when he would ask for things. He went up to the counter to get a to go box and she ignored him the first 3 times he asked. Then when we went up to the counter to pay we stood up there for almost 10 minutes before the other lady decided to help us. She could clearly see us waiting patiently and she kept "finding" things to do, other than helping us. I love this restaurant and come here all the time but this time we felt very unwanted and honestly made me never want to come back.
Changed their menu and the beef items are awful. Would not recommend.
Mug got a was extremely rude. She was not helpful, Did not make eye contact while speaking to us, and took a phone call, and was even more rude to them! Iverecommended friends to stay there due to it being so close to my home, and two out of the three times, my friends had the same sentiments as I did. She is so unprofessional, demeaning in her words and flat out rude. I cannot believe extend a stay has someone with such unprofessionalism representing them, especially at the front desk!!!!!
When I came here the food was bad. I got a torta and it was cold and gross. I got chilaquiles and they used melted cheese on them instead of Queso Fresco. That was an insult to real chilaquiles. Wouldn't come back.
Bad service, overcharge & food it’s really bad first and last time … I’m coming this place…. I don’t have nothing to say.
I was in vacation and my family and i went to this restaurant. First we get an attitude from waitress and then we get overcharged for a plate that was returned and we got charged twice for our drinks. We gave a generous tip and waitress refused to give money back for everything she overcharged. If you go to this restaurant justt be cautios of what they charge you.
It’s the worst Mexican food I’ve had in a while. I ordered the birria tacos, and there was some unidentified stuff on the meat. I think they probably don’t clean their cooking utensils.
Foods great, but they over charged me over a dollar to get my 3 breakfast tacos in separate aluminum foil. When they put all three together it causes the cheese to be stuck all in one taco so the proportion is off. Ive gotten it for over 2 years that way and now they are changing it. Not happy to pay for a wrapper they bought at sams at whole sale price. Looked like a regular employee, but felt I was discriminated against for the first time in a while. Once I told her I was writing a review she said sorry and started blaming her management team. I drive an extra 7 minutes to go to their store, when there are 5 other taco places around before heading that direction. Being a loyal customer I would have never thought they wouldn’t act this way. Hope the wrappers were worth losing a customer.
If I could give a 0 starts I would! The torta is 5.99 and I got charged 8.99 for the torta. Besides that, the server brought an Extra horchata by HER mistake and still wanted to charge us 3.00 for it, even after explaining it was not ordered. Besides that, they were VERY UNPROFESSIONAL in the matter of trying to fix things. “Ay vean ustedes cómo se arreglan allí”. Besides all that! Tacos de pastor are very very dry. Also ordered a cocktail and one of the saladitas crackers pack, was OPEN and they were stale. Horrible horrible. Unfortunate that they could be sooo much better but they’re horrible!!
Decided to go there for breakfast this morning. There is a sign at the entrance that states that they open a 7am on Sundays. They were open but not ready for business. The staff was slow, the coffee was not hot and the meat seemed dry. The water was nice and cold!
My niece & I walked in & looked over at lady @ register… who was looking down @ her phone not busy at all…. She did not address us so we walked over & sat down, no one came to freed us or give us menus for at least 15 minutes …. Place was empty & not busy at all. I had to get up & ask if she was planning to take our order, grabbed 2 menus & told her she would need to bring over 1 more… so she could at least do something. when she finally came over she did not apologize it was more of attitude I still left tip but not a very good one. As it was a reflection of the service we received Oh & the food… not good at all. Refried Beans looked to be from a van & had no taste. We ordered a parillia & not what I expected was full of tiny pieces of … chicken & ground beef even though we had ordered a combination with shrimp, beef & chicken but guess they do that to make it look like a lot of food. My brother & I who shared dish for SICK 🤢 Do not recommend this place at all, & I’m not from Austin was visiting & passing by so it was the closest restaurant to me on my way back out of the city.
Breakfast was sloppy served.. food was not made right .. patatoes were like mashed patatoes. with mashed beans.. that didn't look appealing.. eggs where under cooked.. the vibe I got from the server was like she was hating on a woman just trying to have a decent breakfast. When I asked to take the plate that I hadn't even taken three bites from off my bill, she said I was stuck with it.. Zero stars if I could..NO BUENO.. O SOLAMENTE LA QUE ESTAN DE SERVIDORAS NO SERVIN BIEN LA COMIDA.
Came from out of town picked this spot cause this was the only Mexican spot near here. Food is so so but we were overcharged. Ordered Jalisco enchiladas and did not know they were made with flour tortillas-no where on the menu does it say. We sent them back and I got flautas. Not once was i told they wouldn’t remove the plate. Brother in law paid the bill but didn’t notice they didn’t remove the enchiladas and charged our drinks twice. They left before us and we asked the waitress at the front if they had removed they said yes. It was still a bit much so we asked for the receipt well they didn’t remove them. When asked this they stated they couldn’t give us the money because my brother in law had paid then they said that they couldn’t refund it because they weren’t allowed to remove plates sent back to the kitchen. Overall bad customer service and didn’t even enjoy the food to a whole because this whole ordeal left us with a sour taste.
My Philippine girlfriend and I felt as though we were treated differently from the other customers. I'm Hispanic but I'm not that fluent in Spanish. Other people who sat down a while after we did, got their food first (sizzling plates). But my girlfriend and I had simple plates. And the tea was watered down. It was not a pleasant visit and we would definitely not be going back.
waited an hour and food was given to 5 tables that came after me..... he said he forgot my order like i ordered while the restaurant was still empty....never coming back
I got the caldo de res and it was not good I don't know if the cook was lazy but I got a quarter of a cabbage in my soup giant bones the squash was cut into huge pieces the carne was full of fat, no care was taken into making it they just rough chopped and threw it in. They had a band go in they were nice. The server's were nice but a little disorganized. Food came out in 3 rounds.
You'd figure this place right off interstate would be good. The place is run down and the people working stare at you. For the price of the food, you would think it would be tasty it had no flavor, very bland. We had 2 small menudo's and 2 drinks to go, total $36. You could tell tortillas were heated in the microwave. Do not waste your time coming here.
Update! I tried this place again and there was a disgusting bandaid in my food. Never coming here again. STAY AWAY!!!! The service is really bad. The waitresses (because we had multiple since they would forget about us) were really rude. They looked like they were annoyed by being here and didn't want to work. El servicio estuvo de lo peor. No lo recomiendo
