Great service, great quality and great flavor! What's not to love? Do yourself a favorite and get the quesabirria tacos. You won't be disappointed!

It was a great burrito, not much meat ( still enough), but super tasty ! I wish we lived close by to eat it again. Best we ate in a long time. Sauce was awesome too

stumbled upon Taqueria Fenix via Google Maps due to its 5 star rating with 50 reviews and agree that it deserves all five! The truck is open from 7 AM to 9 PM and they serve the full menu with breakfast tacos even in the evening. The staff was warm and friendly, answered all of our questions, and were delighted that we were pleased with our food. The menu is vast, including like 40 very intriguing ice pop flavors. I am a sucker for Birria tacos, so I got the plate which came with the consommé (you can also buy one individual taco with a side of it!). The tacos were the right amount of crispy paired with gooey cheese and the consomme was the perfect dipping temperature. The corn tortillas are made fresh and you have a choice of flour too. The server said the Fenix taco was the most popular and came with lots of vegetables, it was delicious! The guacamole was both fresh and sizable. I ordered an Agua Fresca too. It was cucumber, spinach, and mint — both refreshing and huge. There are two tables for two in front of the truck and it sits in front of an art studio. There is a number of parking spots. It’s fun to watch all of the people pick up their food and I imagine there’s some good people watching on a day when the art studio is having one of their live drawing events. I will be back to work my way through this menu! Or just stuff my face with birria. YUM 👏👏

This is our first time visiting Austin and we were looking for a place to have some dinner on our first night here. We came across this place on Google maps and decided to give it a try, we are so happy we did. The food was amazing the service was friendly and you can tell they really put love into their food and customers. This is a food truck and they have tables outside for you to sit in and eat. While we sat outside to eat it was a very warm and welcoming atmosphere for my kids their dad and myself. We all agreed we felt "at home" eating there. My children ordered ground beef tacos that came with lettuce and tomatoes and they said they were perfect and ate every bite, to my surprise because they both refuse to eat lettuce and tomatoes at home lol! I had the quesabirria plate, which came with 3 quesabirria tacos, and it had me doing my happy food dance. trust me I only do it when the food is delicious 😆. The kids dad had the Fenix plate and said it was absolutely delicious and finished the whole thing. Perfect 15th birthday celebration dinner for our son. If we are ever in Austin again, we will surely be visiting again.

I can not use words to express how amazing the birria 3 taco plate with consume was. My mind was blown. I wanted to.... run around the picnic table, to do hi-kicks and back-flips with pom-poms in hand, dance with the neighbors tiny old dog,..i think i cried a little too..,

Fantastic, every single time. The menu is 10/10 and always delivers. Get the migas plate!!!! The staff is incredibly friendly as well.

Great service, tasty salsas and a solid menu! I ended up getting the pastor mini tacos and when you initially open your box you’ll see tons of radishes and cucumbers on top (which I appreciated). The pastor itself was juicy with a nice char. Flavorful too. My friends got the fluatas which were also great. The outside was crispy but still soft enough to bite into and the rice served with it was authentic. 10/10 will be back

AMAZING!!!! My fiancé and I got the migas plate and breakfast tacos.. and it was one of the best migas we’ve had!!! The price, quality of food, and the service was top tier!! Super nice crew and they all had great energy.. it makes you want to support them!! Loved my experience! Also side note, i never post reviews lol but it was so yum we had to!

Was a little skeptical of stopping at this taco truck, but I am so so so glad I did! The food was absolutely delicious and the care and service provided by the employees was top notch! My husband and I got the Migas plate with the Poblano Jalapeno sauce. The sauce has a definite kick to it but a good flavorful heat, not just scorch your mouth. The Migas plate was so flavorful! My only wish was that the tortilla crunch were in smaller pieces as it was difficult to get all ingredients in 1 bite. The chef and another gentleman who pulled up after we were seated were top notch asking us if there was anything we needed and how we were doing. For a food truck, this was much appreciated!

The owner is amazing guy to talk to and definitely has passion in what he is bringing to the neighborhood. I’m telling everyone to try the birria due to the fact he does mnot soak in fat and grease. Nothing is frozen and even the tortillas except the flour ones are hand made! Thank you for the wonderful food and speaking about the dream of your business. Hope to try all your food soon

Food comes out quick. Everything I had was excellent. Chips n Salsa, Pastor taco, Quesabirria taco, and a Campechano taco (had a slice of bacon in it too which was very good). Good sized portions as well and the green sauces were all good (they gave me 3 different ones). Didn’t feel ripped off on portion size. Excellent service from the staff. Id be comfortable ordering over the phone here also. Most places i wouldnt. Plenty of seating unless super busy. They serve breakfast until close as well. Parking is ok and lots of free street parking too.

Stellar tacos! Told the guy to give me 4 of his favorite tacos and he did not disappoint. The flavors, sauces, and textures are on point! Check this truck out, you will not regret it. Horchata delicious too!

Muchas Gracias @Rafa the food was amazing! I stopped here late night for a snack and got a whole meal. Starting with horchata, quesobirria plate, two pastor tacos and a fénix taco all delicious and the mango habanero salsa and salsa de Árbol are spicy enough for a werito ;) but needs and extra kick for the real latin lovers. Highly recommend for those hidden gems to save.

VERY delicious! Give this place a try vs the other taco chains in town. Extremely affordable, tasty, and team that works here is super kid. Fast service, too.

Had the Mexican omelette with chorizo and a Jamaica agua Fresca. Food is excellent, everything you want in a taqueria. Prices are impressively affordable. Space is well maintained. 10/10

This is my hidden gem, they are always pretty quick with the food and never too many people. I love their birria tacos, they never miss and their salsa is awesome too. Definitely recommend giving this place a shot.

Had the Mexican omelette with chorizo and a Jamaica agua Fresca. Food is excellent, everything you want in a taqueria. Prices are impressively affordable. Space is well maintained. 10/10

This place is great, I have gone here for breakfast and lunch before and it has yet to disappoint. The food is tasty, well portioned, and if you get it to go they come in these plastic containers with a secure lid that are really nice. Their huevos rancheros is the best I've ever had and the mole tacos are solid too, but I would suggest that you ask for two corn tortillas as mine completely fell apart.

If you're in the neighborhood it's worth a stop. The tacos in the photos are the super tacos, which just kinda seemed like normal size tacos? Relative only to their tacos: Quality & portions have gone down while pricing has gone way up. What was once a top tier truck has now become a last resort option. RIP Taqueria Fenix, hopefully things can turn around.
