My wife and I absolutely loved this place. Ambiance and service are stellar; and portions are generous. Do yourself a favor and order the carrot cake. That fork is not tiny. The cake is just that huge, and every bite is delicious.

Wow, I can't express how much love I have for this place! When I first walked into the restaurant I really liked the atmosphere and the decor. We started with complementary BBq Chips and Pickles...man the chips were sooo good and addicting and I love the pickles! For my main dish I ordered the Smoked Sliced Brisket in regular with Mac&Cheese as a side. Love their house made coselaw. The briskets were delicious and everything was seasoned perfectly! It was my first time here and I was very impressed with how knowledgable our waiter was. He explained everything on the menu with great detail and excellent recommendations. Note: This place gets very packed by 12noon, so I definitely recommend coming in before that lunch hour.

Had brunch on Saturday, got the brq Benedict. This is one of the best food items I have ever tasted in my life. Truly blown away by the portions as well, you get ALOT. Also, kids menu you get a ton of food for the kiddos. Will Def come back. Side note: make sure you come on an empty stomach 😉

I had a great experience. I went during lunch to finish to grab a bite to eat and finish some work before my next appt. The atmosphere was cool the Commodores were playing and the sun was shining through all the glass doors. I know that was very vivid but I wish you could have experienced it the way I did. Oh, and besides the service and food, the sweet tea was great. I had the Shrimp and Crab sensation with the Boudin app.

Not sure why it's taken me so long to try out BRQ but I will be back soon. Took my friend for a birthday lunch on July 4th, and although they were very busy, the service was friendly and quick. We tried the boudin balls, crab and brie empanadas, seafood avocado salad, and The Hog lunch special. Everything was delicious, including their four varieties of BBQ sauce.

I found BBQ Nirvana here and I have eaten a lot of BBQ all around the US. This is the best BBQ pork and chicken I have had in a long time. Fresh meat done to perfection that you just wanted to savor and not even swallow. It really did wake up the taste buds. They do not skimp on the serving. I order a regular serving and glad I did I took half of it back. The place is open and bright, but does not take away from the dining experience. Plenty of seating and the seating is comfortable. They have a full bar with plenty of selection and they feature several beers including local beers and the server was very knowledgeable about local beers and made a great recommending to me. There is a good selection on the menu from basic BBQ favorites such as pulled pork and pulled chicken. There are several different selections to choose from just with the chicken and pork. Good selection of BBQ ribs and other meats. Great tasting sauces from mild and sweet to a bit hot and even a sweet mustard BBQ sauce. When we were there they had a BBQ salmon that was done well and was not over cooked and being from Seattle we tend to be a bit picky about salmon. Watch out Ivar's Salmon House. They also feature charred oysters and they just melted in your mouth. In talking with staff they are connected with the Louisiana culinary institute and it shows with the excellent level of food preparation with good creativity with menu items Staff was excellent. They were friendly and kept on top of things and spent a bit of timing discussing the menu items and how they are prepared. It is easy to find and access. They have a fairly large parking lot, but it does fill up fast. We got there about 5 one evening and glad we did, by about 5:30 the place was packed and the parking lot was filled. I know this is a good place because of that and you could tell that is was packed with locals. I have never seen so may LSU shirts and jackets (OK this was just a couple of days after LSU beat Alabama in 2019) Geaux Tigers. If you are ever in Baton Rouge and you like BBQ and seafood you got to check this place out.

No complaints!! Our server was so great. It was our first time and we were surprised to get some homemade potato chips and sweet pickles. They were sooo delicious! I got the special which was the soft crab Sammich and it was AWESOME! Also $3 beers for happy hour was legit. Pricing was high but for what we got thought it was great. Next time we pass through here we’re coming again!

This place is fabulous from top to bottom. It's beautiful, service was fantastic and the food was insanely delicious. One pomegranate margarita, chicken and waffles and a plate of Mexican hash browns later and I am one happy gal. Leanne was the sweetest server ever and I have absolutely no complaints. Also their famous carrot cake is 9 pounds and very delicious! I'm convinced you could get anything on the menu and be very happy with it.

We love going there for the food & cocktails, but also when it's someone's birthday they give you a big piece of cake of your choice, need it be carrot cake, chocolate cake, bread pudding or cheese cake. Enough to feed a group of 10

Great food, huge portions, affordable prices...hard to beat. I was ready to be rolled out after eating here. Highly recommend the chopped brisket and the St Louis ribs. The octopus was also very tasty.

We had an amazing lunch here. The food was absolutely delicious, you won’t leave here hungry! Our server Kelsey was lovely and even gave us some tips about other good food in the area too.

They went above and beyond for our team dinner!!! Food was amazing so delicious portion sizes were def worth the price!!! Will def go back!!!

Delicious food, portion is huge and free potato chips and pickles! I ordered sliced brisket and smoked peas. I definitely recommend. It's close to I-10 if you are just thinking about having a quick lunch like we did.

Looks can be deceiving from the outside but don't let that fool you, once you step inside you realize what these folks has put together a top notch wholesome atmosphere, the staff makes you feel you're at the right place once you step into the door just like it was back in the old days, when a host greeted you with a smile and a sincerity that makes you feel you're welcomed. The wait staff is very knowledgeable of their menu. All their ingredients are fresh never frozen, everything is prepared for you when you order it! So come hungry and if you're a foodie like me order as much as you can eat!! Be prepared to take a doggie bag home no small dishes here. Because of how fresh their ingredients are, it is a RESERVATION only restaurant. Book early if you don't want to miss out!! Enjoy, I did!! =^.^=

Loved it all! Had a great time - the food was amazing, very clean with a cozy modern atmosphere. Our server Taylor was amazing as well! Oh! The carrot cake is a must!

Two words. Sit outside! It was great. Covered so no rain, cool air blowing through so very comfortable. It's like having dinner on your back porch.... just much better food (at least with how I cook). My wife had the turkey, goat cheese, and fig sandwich with pit beans. I had the pastrami grilled cheese with onion rings. Finished it off with a slice of carrot cake that was bigger than my head! Great food, great service. We had a wonderful evening and will definitely be back.

Love this place! Their house-made pickles and chips complimentary appetizer was amazing! We ordered a seafood salad for a nice lite lunch and it was delicious. We also got the brisket meatballs but devoured them before I could take a picture and they were on point! Can't wait to go back for dinner and get all the meats!

What a great experience!! My husband and I are visiting from Texas and came down for a friend's wedding. We had a taste for barbecue so we decided to experience this restaurant because of its high rating review. Our waitress name was Marilyn and she was amazing; warm, personable and attentive. Marilyn is absolutely a great asset to the restaurant. She's one of the reasons we will be back. Aside from the great service, the food was soooooo delicious. If you're looking for great customer service and delicious food, you have to try this restaurant.

I love all the people there! Mentioning names is a problem but Chareesa needs a shout-out as a wonderful bar-friend. Everyone she meets is a friend for life! Ask for her! Really like this place! Enjoyed the comfortable starters (pickles n homemade chips), the excellent service and finishing up the meal with hot wet towels feels like we got spoiled. Great brunch! Highly recommend

Excellent event experience! We hosted our work holiday party on the back patio and everyone had a fantastic time despite the cold weather BRQ had nice warm heaters. Angela made it easy to plan our event and the food & drinks were outstanding. The bartenders were exceptional. We were even able to bring our own DJ (DJ Philly Phil). I would recommend BRQ for your event.

The best brisket in town. If you want to feel special come here on your birthday. They have the best carrot cake and one slice feeds 8 to 10 people. They also have drink specials and a great happy hour.

Had a good lunch here. Brussels were good and the chicken avocado sandwich was just right. We’ve done some corporate events on the back patio and it’s a great place for that also.

First time visiting this establishment with my family. Parking wasn’t too bad , atmosphere was nice. We chose to sit outside instead of inside.The food was seasoned and tasteful. Our server (Doriane D) was professional and friendly in spite of the kids being very active and noisy. We will visit again.

Olivia was outstanding!! Please ask for her. I rarely write reviews. She brought me a HOT wet towel. My wife and I ask for one each time we go out to eat to clean our hands. Some places look at me like I am crazy when I ask. This really nice young read our minds. Service was also fast and very accurate. We will come back and ask for her by name.

Was in town for a baseball tournament. Only driven through Baton Rouge until now. Ate dinner at BRQ and had an incredible dining experience. The ambiance was great, and the food was even better. I knew we were on the right track with the complimentary bowl of BBQ chips arrived. New to Cajun food, I had the chicken mamoa with twice baked potatoes and corn maque choux. Olivia, our waitress, encouraged us to save room for the carrot cake because it was as big as my head. Sure enough, when the carrot cake got to our table, it was as big as my head. BRQ got the little things right like a worm towel to clean up after ribs. Finally, I must tell you about Olivia. She recommended the chicken mamoa which did not disappoint. Genuine, attentive, and fun, Olivia made the dining experience five star. Will definitely visit BRQ again and ask for Olivia!

I've had great food and service each time I have been here. The BRQ Benedict with brisket was amazing. My daughter had the Mexican hashbrowns. We took home a ginormous carrot cake.

Excellent place, great selection of bbq and regular menu items as well. To start off, their house chips and house pickles are fantastic. The bbq sauces they offer all great, and should be bottled and sold. The hot sauce fried onion rings are amazing. The service was better than excellent, attentive wait staff, fast kitchen, and even offered a hot towel after the meal. I highly recommend trying this place and go often to try a variety of items.

I took my mother and sister for Thanksgiving. We all choose the Thanksgiving dinner and everyone loved everything. Definitely going back

Great experience and our waiter Jacob was so quick and helpful! The food was great and well priced. Loved the chip and pickle appetizers you get before you order. The nacho was way bigger than expected 🤣 delicious and plenty to have for later. The pastrami grilled cheese was to a.m.a.z.i.n.g. We will definitely be back!

Modern farm style atmosphere with great air conditioning to boot. We gathered around a large 6 top table and had plenty of space for all of our apps and meals. The sweet tea was scrumptious and the refills came quickly. Our waitress was patient with our late guests and even offered up some of her favorite appetizers to try. The portions are massive and we had plenty to take home for tomorrow. The pulled pork was juicy and barley needed any sauce on it at all. I legitimately screamed when I saw how big the carrot cake was. WOW. Looking forward to another visit here soon.

Absolutely awesome. The decor is a modern rustic, roomy seating with a well stocked bar. We were given chips and pickles when we were seated. Both tasted great and I loved the pickles. For the appetizer we had the BBQ Bacon and it was perfect. Just the right amount of sweetness. I had the sliders and my wife the crab cakes. For the sliders, there were three. Pulled pork and chicken and brisket. It was fresh, moist and tasty. The bread was soft and tasted just like a pretzel. I have to say, easily the best BBQ I have had since we moved here and I have been looking and looking! Oh, and It came with a selection of sauces, from sweet to tangy. Which was a great add on. My wife had the Crab Cakes, it came with shrimp and crawfish pasta plus a nice sized Texas Bread. She said it was perfect and it was a good sized portion. We are stuffed and so happy to have found this place, we will be back and back!

I came here for a business lunch and I'm so glad somebody picked this place. What a nice happy place for a lunch meeting. The portions are huge and I was stuff. We ordered the nachos with brisket, the boudin balls, and Brussels Sprouts to share.. They were delicious. I had their lunch special - the Jambo I think? I loved their brisket because it's a great combo of fatty and lean meat. I'm just picky with the pull pork because I like my meat fatty... Really cute farm house atmosphere. What stood out the most is our server. I can't remember her name but she gave the best and most honest recommendations.

Stopped in after Bowling at the US Open Championship, good BBQ and friendly staff! Enjoyed our meal and holy cow.. the cakes! Ask for the carrot cake...

We were passing through and we were in the mood for some brisket. I found this place on our way with a little bit of a detour from our route. The place is cozy and inviting as you step inside. I love the interior. We ordered the brisket, some drinks and for dessert - the Jumbo Carrot Cake. Ohhh boy! What a surprise - this piece should be served in Texas! Didn't see that coming... :)) It was so delicious too!

We finally returned to Louisiana and made sure to detour through Baton Rouge so we could have another fine meal at BRQ! The bar was set very high by our experience 3 years ago, and they still surpassed expectations, from the moment we entered to the end, when super server Alexis brought my forgotten cellphone to our car! Thank you Alexis and BRQ for a magical time with all new wonderful memories. You accomplish everything you aim to do in your commitment to your guests! Until next time..... Previous visit: We found BRQ while doing a Google search of Baton Rouge restaurants as we were driving from Natchez to New Orleans. We were surprised to have complimentary homemade potato chips and bread-and-butter pickles, which were both memorable. Katie, our server, was PHENOMENAL from beginning to end. She suggested the special appetizer, lamb ribs, which were the most perfect lamb I have ever tasted: just the right amount of smoke, tender, and beautlfully flavored with a balsamic reduction. We decided to share an entree, crispy fried catfish served over a bed of mashed potatoes and crawfish etouffee (crazy good), so we would have room for another appetizer, pepperjack-stuffed boudin balls (Yum!), and an extra side dish, corn maque choux (don't pronounce it, just EAT it!). Everything was nothing short of perfection. Portions were so generous that we had leftovers to take to our hotel fridge and enjoy the next day. Sadly, no room to try the ginormous carrot cake that we saw at the adjacent table. In my over 60 years of restaurant dining, this experience landed in the TOP TEN. I visit this location quite often, and without fail, the highlight of each visit is Chareessa. She absolutely slays my drinks and is the best in town hands down. Even during busy hours she stays attentive and continues to give excellent service, all while keeping the mood light. 100/10 recommended!!! ~J. Whitfield

BRQ is a must try restaurant! I’ve never had a bad experience or anything less than great food here. They welcome you with home-made chips and sweet pickle chips. We always celebrate our birthdays here (secret: try it sometime and you’ll see why). Can’t say enough good things about BRQ. Our last visit we had Gabby and she provided awesome service.

I usually go here for lunch and get the lil Q its so delicious. Last night i stopped in for dinner to go I ordered pulled pork and pulled chicken with a twice baked potato. The potato is dam good omg . The chivken n pork are juicy n tender and flavorful without barbq sauce. But the sauce is a nice extra . Miss pam and Claire served me , they were so nice Claire really was attentive to my order she went the extra mile ,the ladies here are so wonderful they make you feel welcome. The restaurant is very cleanly and its a very relaxing atmosphere. Ill definitely recommend this place to my friends .great food, great staff 👍

Great atmosphere, excellent service, and big portions! We went as a family of 6 during lunch. We were sat quickly and waited on. Our waitress was knowledgeable regarding crowd favorites and the menu options available. Our favorites from the dishes were the pulled pork, crawfish/shrimp Alfredo, lump crab cakes, and the mashed potatoes. Not to mention you get complimentary sweet pickles and kettle chips instead of the typical bread, so fun and different! Alright y’all some facts on this carrot cake. The ONE ORDER of carrot cake feeds 10-12 people, the whole cake is as big as a spare tire, and it is so richly delicious with cream cheese frosting. And y’all, I don’t even like carrot cake and I licked my plate clean! The building is children friendly, had a ramp and open floor plan for wheelchair access, and there’s bar seating. Definitely check this place out!

The food was delicious as always. The staff is really friendly and efficient. The dining room accommodates large and small parties. Very nice bar with decent day to day happy hour crowd. I had the Chicken Mamou, which was quite delicious, came with mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. I would definitely recommend BRQ over and over as one of the best on Jefferson.

Had a great time here. Fast service, the food was delicious and fairly priced. I wish I had more room for dessert but I'll save that for next time!

One of my favorite places to grab a drink! They have a great bar selection and drink menu with lots of local brews as well. Their food is great as well.

This place is absolutely amazing. We don’t live in the area, we actually live on the coast of Mississippi, but we always make it a point to stop here whenever we come through. We have literally timed out our travel several times in order to hit this place at dinner time! Cody was our waiter tonight and he did an outstanding job! Super attentive, and went above and beyond to make our experience awesome! If you’ve never been here, here’s your sign 👍

I’ve eaten here twice now and had a wonderful experience both times!! Our server Sofie this past visit was especially friendly and helpful and made sure we had the best experience possible. We sat on the front porch, which is quiet and pleasant even in the summer due to the fans! All of the BBQ is delicious, especially with the vinegar, mustard, and pickles. I highly recommend anything with the pretzel buns like the Sammich or slider trio!! The carrot cake is absolutely glorious and fully worth the price—an immense amount of just-sweet-enough, perfectly baked carroty goodness. Just make sure you have either a big party or a plan for the leftovers if you order it!

I was recommended to this place by some locals. They didn't disappoint me. The service was great and the food (BBQ) was delicious. I had the 3 meat plate, pulled pork, brisket, and baby back ribs w/ green beans. They give you 4 different sauces with your plate, they were all great. I also had a Texas Tea Drink that was very good. Cheers to the bartender! I absolutely recommend that you try this place if you're ever in Baton Rouge.

Yesterday…..Chareesa, was amazing helping me find the RIGHT lunch based off feeling , history with establishment and common sense. I came in wanting and fiening the meatball appetizer but, after great debate and capitalization of my adventurous personality ; the verdict was in …. Daily special won and it was the Philly cheesesteak!!!! BRQ style !!!!!! and it was worth the Indian Jones adventure on my palet. Thank you Chareesa for being a chief advocate and personal confidant of food.

Great food and attentive service. Our waitress saw we had a large group and checked to see if we were splitting checks. The desserts are HUGE! One could feed four people!

I love eating here. I go for brunch on the weekends with my family a lot. But my favorite thing is to go during the week for a quick bite. If you sit at the bar, you will get super fast and friendly service from Charessa. Highly recommend BRQ.

Another great lunch at BRQ, what a unique place. Chareesa behind the bar is my favorite! The Catfish Acadian was awesome, the perfect amount. I love the kettle chips here with the BRQ special touch. Chareesa always makes it fun! Great local place with great local flavor!

Olivia was the nicest, sweetest, most amazing server I’ve never had. She was quick and gave amazing recommendations. The best server I’ve ever had. Foods a 10/10 everytime I come here I always get the 3 choice protein (ribs, brisket, and andouille ) Mac and cheese, and broccoli and it never misses. The brisket is the best in BR and our server Cody is a true delight! I would love to see him gain a promotion in the company.

Seems like a nice place, the bar tender was eager to be helpful and I like the atmosphere. I was just in and out didn't order anything this time because I was only meeting for a Facebook marketplace purchase. But I would come back again it seems great:)

Came for lunch after a morning at the zoo. My wife and I both got the Little Q. The food was excellent. Both the pulled pork and pulled chicken were flavorful and juicy. The selections of BBQ sauces were delicious and paired well with the meats. And even though the coleslaw was not as moist as I like it, it went very well with the meats. We also had the cheesecake for desert, and it was huge. Don't change a thing, the food was delicious! Oh, and the pickles were so good we had to get some to take home. We will definitely be returning.

Excellent food and service, even on a very lively Friday evening with a table of 10 or so. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu - everything was delicious, and there was quite a variety. Will be looking forward to returning there when we’re in town!

Charesa does not just work at the bar, she is the bar. Everytime I come I am immediately greeted with her kind smile and amazing service. Food is always quality and consistent. Highly recommend!

This is one of my mother’s favorite restaurants and the staff is always so kind when we come in and the food is always tasty. Came in today by myself and ate at the bar, the bartender was awesome and made a perfect Old Fashioned and my sliders were hot, fresh, and delicious! Thanks again BRQ 💜

I didn't eat in so I can't comment on the service but the food was tasty. I ordered the smoked wings and the seafood salad. The wings came smothered in a trio of sauces. Not my favorite but they were tasty and fall off the bone juicy. They were whole wings, so technically 12 pieces. Not a ton of smoke flavor though. The salad had fat juicy shrimp and a little bit of crab meat, but it was a large salad. If you order the salad you won't have space for much else. I didn't use the dressing that came with it, I carry my own. Overall a tasty meal.

In the words of a cringey millennial - thank you, BRQ, for BEING you. My dining experience here is the kind that I’ve only seen in youtube videos in big cities like NYC or Chicago. To start, the farmhouse aesthetic was so charming yet the clean colors and high ceilings also make it feel really modern and high end. And just a touch of femme with the fresh flowers on each table was super cute. I’ll try to keep the food review short and sweet since I tried so many things. The pepper jelly shrimp was interesting. I was a little taken aback by how fruity it tasted initially but once you really get to savor the well-seasoned (not to mention big and juicy) shrimp and crust it balances out perfectly. Probably my favorite item besides the dessert were the brisket debris fries! Fries topped with cheese, bbq sauce, baked beans and delicious tender brisket…just wow. It was perfect. I also tried pulled pork, pulled chicken and the ribs. Everything was so tender and flavorful. The bbq comes with 4 different sauces. I honestly couldn’t keep up with which was which but they were ALL extremely delicious to me. I wonder if they sell them bottled. The grand finale which made me feel like I was in a Food Insider video was the carrot cake! It is a massive 3-layer slice of carrot cake, packed with nuts with a divine cream cheese frosting and topped with crunchy candied carrot shavings (how perfect is that?), and some caramel. It can serve about hmm.. 1 to 10 people lol The only thing that keeps it from a 5-star rating for me is that the sides weren’t as great as everything else. For me personally I like when the sides are just as excellent as the main course. The jalenpeno cornbread was a bit dry and I didn’t get the jalepeno flavor. Also, I thought the potatoes in the potato salad were too cold and “al dente”. I know potato salad should be chilled but it was almost like biting into cold water chestnuts. The actual flavor of the dressing was really good however. And the baked beans were just okay to me. OVERALL though I cannot wait to come back!

I love the food here, but the service we had for dinner the other night was sub-par. The brussel sprouts are great. I don't recommend the bloody mary. The carrot cake is amazing.

Stopped in for Thanksgiving. While we did not request to be seated outside we were due to our party size. While chilly it was a reasonable temperature with the heaters. Their thanksgiving platter for $35 with a dessert was a very good value and I look forward to other regular menu items soon

Upscale BBQ joint. We came here in relax weekend gear n it was button up shirt attire feel. Not what we were expecting but hey it's BBQ lol. Pickles n chips were off the chain n complimented each other very well. Price points are a little up there but I'm no business owner i just eat food. Everything we had as far as food went was good. The sauces are good combo with the meats n helps add a little moisture to them. The meat wasn't to dry but a little more cooking n they would have been dry. All in all a good experience.

The restaurant is clean and beautiful. Staff friendly and welcoming. Complimentary home chips with bread and butter pickles. Our meal was Seafood Avocado Salad, Q3 Homemade andoullie sausage, ribs, brisket. X4 sauces on the side. Onion rings super delicious. Dessert an outstanding carrot cake. The food is tasty and could use a little more seaoning.

The salmon was tiny , the carrot cake was huge , the atmosphere is like you eat in a gym .. too tall too windy , one hour before the closing two tables inside but all the employees run around crazy busy with the closing tasks. They put the chairs upside down on the table all away around you. The food was great , the drinks awesome.

I had lunch here with an old friend. The atmosphere is lively, colorful and very casual. There is a full cocktail bar with seating if desired. The food is good and barbecue is the specialty, though they have a pretty varied selection. Our server was very friendly but could have been a bit more attentive. Overall it was an enjoyable experience.

Thanksgiving menu was excellent! It was definitely a plus that they had the regular menu available as well - everybody was very happy with the food. It was so nice to meet family there and not have any cleaning to do afterwards. Great experience!

Service was excellent , I do recommend giving them a try, but I was disappointed in my order, I was craving brisket and when I got home with my order the brisket was a bit dry it wasn’t juicy and falling apart like I expected. I probably won't return but this is my experience, I definitely recommend trying BRQ because you may love it.

Overall 3.5 stars. Chips and Pickles were a great start. The brisket was 6.5/10 and it came out cold. The Salmon dish with asparagus and potatoes was delicious.

We go here about 3 times a year. Usually, we have a decent sized group, about 10-15. Unfortunately, no matter how the food is, the service is always slow on the patio. Not sure if they just stay understaffed on purpose out there or if the restaurant just isn't conducive to providing quick service out there, but it never fails to be subpar. We were all sad to hear they no longer have fried okra. 😢 we will likely continue to go back, but just wanted to let the restaurant know there is definitely room for improvement in service outside.

Food was good overall. Pretty pricey..Some things were not cared for by all. The side dishes need some work in my opinion. Potato salad was very vinegary and not enjoyable for me. Baked beans also had an odd flavor and didnt like. The coleslaw was very plain with not much flavor. The bbq chips and pickles they bring to all tables were both great. The pastrami grilled cheese sandwich was very good. Pulled pork was good as well, probably the best thing of the bbq items we tried. The brisket was good though not as tender as I like or enough smoke flavor, I think they need to slice it thinner. Ribs were good as well, but again lacking much smoke flavor, they weren't super tender more like a competition style rib. Carrot cake is pretty much a whole cake worth size slice, as it should be for 17 bucks, it was very good . Service was a bit slow and lacking for sure. I think waiter had too many tables . The appectozers were good. The smoked queso tasted fine but no smoked flavor at all. Brisket meatball dish was great.

As a 225 awardee, I think you could do just a little better. Issues with reservations as soon as we got there. We had a large party that morning and were promised outdoor Patio seating. Not only were we seated inside, the manager was far from apologetic. Also, I found a small cup of juice extremely overpriced. Otherwise, our server was Fabulous. The food was delicious. I recommend the bbq ribs. Mimosas are nice but there's no ice bucket-drink fast. Clean restaurant, bathroom included. Full bar. Nice decor.

8/9/24 I came here with my boyfriend for the first time. You should definitely make reservations if you'd like to dine here. We ordered the brisket, and it was very good! The chips and sweet pickles that are served are delicious. As far as the hospitality: It would be nice if the waitresses would connect with the female patrons, too. The waitress was borderline rude to me, and she pretended as though I wasn't there...creating a very uncomfortable and awkward situation for me at the restaurant. I hope that the management team talk to these waitresses about being hospitable to all customers and not just the men. That should not be the way for a waitress to think she can earn a bigger tip.

I had the brisket and it was not as good as I had heard. Our server was great and the atmosphere was cool. The food was just not impressive.

Average food, slow service. Hannah Q has better food. The place was basically empty but service was slow. Not bad, average, not impressive. Good selection of BBQ sauces but small portions of sauce. Food portions very healthy, maybe larger than needed.

I came to try all the BBQ. The house made sausage is awesome. The ribs were really good but a tad dry but paired with the awesome sauces it was good. The brisket on the other hand was a huuuuge disappointment. It was like eating sand it was so dry. No sauce could save that. Very disappointing that a restaurant that has BBQ in the name killed a brisket. All the other food was great. Ill be back, just not for the BBQ.

To start, the only reason they're getting 2 stars is because of our server, Colin (Not sure if this is the correct spelling). We got the chicken wings as a starter, and they were good. The house-made chips were good but would've been better had they been hot. I enjoyed the pickles, but not everyone will enjoy bread and butter pickles. My husband enjoyed the offerings of local beers. He was impressed that each beer was cold and served with an appropriate, cold glass. On to our entrees, the french fries were so salty they were inedible. Vice versa the potato salad, coleslaw, and cornbread had zero seasoning. The pulled pork was okay, but the brisket needed help. The pretzel bun for the brisket was gummy in texture. The bbq sauces were good. We have no plans to return.

I ordered a 12 ounce ribeye with corn maque choux and a twice baked potato for take out. The steak was nicely grilled but had a fair amount of gristle. The corn and potato were good, but the entire meal was ruined by excessive amounts of salt. It was almost inedible.

I ordered a club sandwich with no mayo and to add mustard. When I received the sandwich, there was no mustard on the sandwich, although my waitress was told no mayo add mustard. When I questioned that my order was incorrect, she stated after I received the sandwich that they don’t add mustard. My thoughts are why wouldn’t she tell me that when I Said add mustard. I stopped a Supervisor and she told me that mustard was not on the prep line.Her response was ‘I’m sorry’. I guess she thought I was looking for a free meal, I only wanted a correct order. I also ordered a sweet tea with no lemon and I got a sweet tea with lemon.

The free potato chips were overdone and almost burnt. The free pickles were bland other than some sugar they put on them. The cornbread was dry and hard as a rock. The brisket did not have much bark or seasoning. The pulled pork was overcooked but there was some type of braising liquid on it so at least it wasn’t dry. The beans were ok $3 coke products no free refills.

BRQ is increasing prices and portions have gone way down. We ordered take out of the Brussels and kale salad. I’ve ordered this in the past at the restaurant and took home more leftovers than I was given as a pick up order. $21 for a salad that was less than half the container. They also charge a 6% pick up fee which is still in place from Covid.

I stood in front of this establishment waiting to pick up a takeout order for a good 8-10 mins with staff constantly walking right past me. It wasn't even busy either so the fact that i was completely ignored for that long feels strange. will not be purchasing from this establishment again.
