Finally, I made it to Schoepf's. They have good brisket and turkey breast. Unfortunately, it was late in the day, so they had sold out of pulled pork. Our sides were all tasty( potato salad, charro beans, and corn) Shout out to the main cutting the meats. He was informative and courteous. Prices were higher than most places. Not sure we'll return.

We visit family in Texas on an annual basis and on each visit, we always try out new bbq restaurants. We’d had takeaway from Schoepf’s last year, but this year we went for lunch. We were fairly early, so it was a little quiet, but there were still a few people there. However, the food was excellent. I’d say that it was a little overpriced, but ultimately, it’s all to do with the food and this bbq is excellent! The brisket was superb!

Prime brisket is perfectly seasoned and tastes spectacular!!! !!!! Potato salad is delicious. 6 pm Friday ribs were already sold out 😵‍💫 I can hardly wait to eat at Schoepf’s again!!

We were very impressed with Schoepf's BBQ and sides. They have a large menu and many different options, we tried just about everything. Usually, I don't like barbecue restaurant's sausage but theirs was delicious. The employees are fantastic too.

Recommended by dear friends, just had a fantastic dinner before we leave town tomorrow. Brisket is so amazing! Pork ribs even moreso! Mexican street corn is such a cool recipe. Cheesy potatoes very tasty. My two men enjoyed the sopapilla cheesecake. Boots sodas in fountain drinks well wow, wish we had those at home. Brisket nachos our friend had were more like taco salad since cheese wasn’t delightfully melted over all. Mac and cheese had good flavor. Great family place and we’d definitely return if we return to Temple area.

Stopped for lunch on a brisket tamales day. Loved the brisket tamale. I would've liked a bit more texture to the meat and while it had nice chile flavor, it overwhelmed the brisket. The brisket nachos were massive and delicious. The jalapeno sausage was moist and flavorful. The brisket was very good (although sliced a bit thick-overcooked?) Despite being peak lunch time, the pork ribs weren't ready yet. And the prices are starting to be a bit high for the food. That said, I look forward to returning and trying the beef rib and quail.

The BBQ here was awesome. I travel for BBQ and decide to stop by after seeing a billboard on the highway. I had the brisket with a side of loaded potatoes and Mexican street corn. Both were outstanding. I was going to get the moist brisket, but the cutter offered a sample of the lean... it was fall apart tender and plenty juicy. The flavor was outstanding also. It's some of the best BBQ I've tasted. It was a little out of the way, but well worth the detour! You should stop by and enjoy some of the food from this little gem 😜

One of the best BBQ I’ve had while in TX. Love the meats and the Tex-Mex spin on the menu. Great sides too - Mexican elote (corn) and the cucumber salad was dynamite. Staff came and check on us while we ate. Highly recommend to anyone.

Fantastic brisket and pulled pork sandwiches. Also enjoyed the mac and cheese, green beans, pinto beans and charro beans. Good service. Nice, friendly staff.

Group of 4 shared BBQ meats: Brisket ( both moist and lean), pork ribs, pulled pork, burned ends, and all 4 types of sausage. The 3 flavored sausages were only so-so, the rest of the meats were excellent at an expected price. We also had a number of sides: green beans, coleslaw, cucumber salad, and mac & cheese. The sides were all excellent but stupidly expensive priced...Lg=$20.99 (which was crazy for about $2-$3 of raw product). Next time we would get the meat to go and make our own sides at home.

Service was okay I guess. Took a while even though I was second in line, but they had *just* opened so I can't really complain. Food was good, but its expensive. Thats all bbq in Texas though. This bbq place has delicious bbq. The turkey is juicy and delicious. The brisket has that nice jiggle and a beautiful crust. The only downside to this joint is the prices. It is extremely expensive for the amount you get. I feel like you could get this same quality at a cheaper price.

The atmosphere was excellent. The pitmaster and meat carver were very enjoyable to visit with. The sausage and brisket tamales were delicious. The brisket and ribs lacked seasoning and moisture. We will definitely want to come back and give it another try!

Finally, I got to try this place after seeing billboards for it last year and in turn looking up the HUGE menu. All your normal sliced meats, then a wjole menu for tex mex and menu for potatoes etc. A whole bunch of sides and desserts that all looked amazing. I wanted to try something different and got the Brisket Philly (monday special) brisket was delicious and smoked well. Beautiful presentation. And the spanish rice was amazing, so much flavor. I definitely reccomend stopping by and trying something if you are ever driving through the tiny town of Belton!

I hate to write negative reviews about hard working local businesses but I just wanted to add my opinion here. Everyone was kind, the service was good. But the food, man, it just doesn't live up to the VERY high price. The brisket wasn't just decent, it was bad. I didn't even choose to finish my small portion of it. The ribs were so-so. I had one side and it was fine. But a barbecue place needs to serve good brisket first and foremost, and unfortunately it was subpar. And the price, for one person, ordering a normal serving (1/4 lb of brisket, 2 ribs, and one side and a drink), was $40. That's insanity.

We ordered our food. 45 minutes later they brought my wife's food and not mine. then they got upset when I was mad. They said it was not there fault because it was not sent back but it was on the receipt. First and last time to go there.

We were excited to try them for the first time. We waited over thirty minutes for our food we were the only ones there. I know this is not a fast food place so we were patient. But a young couple walked in and their food was immediately brought to them. My husband got up to speak to the gentleman in the front and was confused as to why our food was not out. After another ten minutes our food was brought out. When the ladies came out with the food one was carrying one tray with a towel and the other who was across the table from me was carrying mine and my husbands she placed my husbands tray down and she was handing me my tray saying it was hot she was carrying the tray with a towel as I reached for it my hand touched a very hot tray. It left a red mark on my hand. I had ordered a brisket sandwich I was expecting a moist brisket I received a very dry meat hard to swallow. As I lifted up the sandwich the bottom of the bread was stuck on the paper it seemed that it had developed moisture on the bottom then It dried as the sandwich was placed under a warm light for a long time. All of the brisket outside of the bun had dried up and became hard with the bbq sauce. We were not impressed between the three of us we spent almost $100.

Wow I can't believe this meal was 26 dollars and this was Mondays special plus a sweet tea. I expected at least a whole brisket sandwich not half in what looks and taste like a hotdog bun. The tater Tots alone were 4.50 and not worth it. I'm all for supporting local businesses but for the price this is not worth it
