This place is sooooo good! Visiting for the weekend and wanted a quick place close to the AirBnB. This place popped up as a suggestion and figured we’d try it out. It was outstanding! I got the grilled veggie quesadilla, which is stuffed with eggplant, every color bell pepper, squash, corn, guac, and of course cheese. My boyfriend got the shrimp burrito, stuffed with shrimp, cheese, rice, and guac. Both were absolutely delicious. While we were eating, almost done with our meals, I said “okay let’s come back for dinner again tomorrow, and I’ll get the shrimp burrito next time.” My boyfriend said, “okay I’m down I’ll try something different though haha.” That’s how good this place is, that in our 48 hour trip we want to eat at the same place twice.
I’ve come here an inordinate number of times. I’ve loved it each time and it is gutting to hear that they are closing their doors tomorrow. RIP Eduardo.
This place has been around for almost 35 years and I've enjoyed their burritos and food in the early 90s when I worked down the street and now I make a point to get there often. The border burrito is amazing. Whatever marinade they are doing and the spiciness of their salsas fantastic. This place had freshly done salsas like way before Baja fresh even thought about it. Everything is ultra fresh and delicious. I'm not as big of fan of the seafood the way they do it here but I absolutely love the border burrito and the southwest steak burrito. You can never go wrong here. Fresh salsa is fresh chips amazing tortillas.
We have been going here for years but finally remembered to review it. The place is not much to look at, but the food is so good and consistent that you will keep coming back. It is loved by folks of every age and income bracket - truly a West LA institution!
Steak Burritos are delicious. Remember, you are coming because the taste of the food. You won't regret. Eddie is a super nice guy.
I’ve been coming here for 44 years and it’s hands down my favorite burrito in LA Edit: The above was originally a parody of other reviews, but I came here and it’s actually great. Have been coming multiple times a week since. Burritos are great. Chips are pretty underwhelming though.
I love Eduardo’s - we are fortunate to have such a great Mexican (I think it’s technically classified as tex mex) restaurant on the west side of LA. I’m very particular about the quality of meat (wherever I go) and theirs is fantastic. The steak is top notch and so is the chicken. Always fresh and excellent quality. They have amazing burritos, nachos, tacos, etc. their salsa selection is really good as well. The owner is a lovely man and all of the staff are so friendly and accommodating - I’m provided with outstanding customer service every time I come here. Highly recommend!!
For the westside, Eduardo's is the absolute best you will find. Their burritos are top shelf. Years ago, I would have placed tacos por favor above, but not anymore. Eduardo's is the gold standard. One complaint is that if you are chili head or fan of spicy salsas, you won't get that here. They have nothing really spicy.
Most important: Food quality and taste. 5 stars. Even if the staff and service isn't good, they would still get top rating, but the staff here is great. Friendly, courteous, just gets the food to you without any drama. The quality is superb, the portions generous and the prices are very fair for what you get. We have been here many times over the years and the food quality is always the same, excellent.
I had the Steak Fajitas & they were absolutely delicious! The large portion of steak that I got was awesome & the flavors were excellent. I would absolutely recommend this place!
Tasty. Fair prices. They offer a great grilled veggies burrito. Fresh salsa bar is fresh and has variety. Chips were perfect. Staff friendly. Clean restroom. Only minor quibbles: a coat hook in the restroom is nice for hanging a bag/briefcase, and why are you still using styrofoam cups? Otherwise, perfect.
Ordered take out from Eduardo's last night. The food was absolutely delicious. Steak Tacos were the best. Prices were very reasonable. We will certainly order from them again soon and support other family owned restaurants in this time of the Trumpdemic.
We go here all the time as a family and I always take out for my staff - the food is always delicious. This past weekend Eddie catered an event at my home for 80 people and did an incredible job. The food was perfect - everyone raved and his staff is really topnotch. I highly, highly recommend Eduardo's whether you are looking for good mexican on a week night or catering a nice event! Thank you Eddie and staff!
Great fresh Mexican type grilled food. Always fresh. The best salsas in Los Angeles. A locals favorite. I’m a twenty year goer. Many of the staff have been there since day one. It gets very busy for lunch. It’s informal. I love the spinach quesadilla and the Border Burrito. No refried beans sad to say but their black beans are very good.
A Classic Food Shop with Fresh and Delicious dishes...cooked to order...
Always delicious food no matter what you choose. Freshly made and people working always have smile and helpful. Amado is usually one up front helping customers during day and he always makes everyone feel welcome. Have been coming to this place for over 10 years quality always great.
Best Fresh California Mex! Consistently delicious burritos & fajitas & tacos. Guacamole is one of the best ever!! Never had a bad experience or meal in over 30 years!!!
Beat shrimp burrito! Been coming for 30 years. Mild Shrimp Burrito add a squirt of lime and makes it perfect. Amazing fresh salsa bar.
Great Mexican fast food and dine in. I have been going there since opening. Great little place. Friendly. Great salsa. All of there items are great. Especially their quesadillas which have guacamole in it. Real good. Can't say enough. Love their shrimp burrito.
Please don’t change. Food is perfect, you are very kind. Place is great. Must have point on my foodmap
Giant burrito. It’s really delicious and honestly very stuffed with meat for $16. I always would drive by this place and it never really called to me. Now I know this is a spot I can go to for a massive burrito at a reasonable price. Will definitely be my post gym meal spot. The horchata is good too. I got the border burrito.
A really solid quick and casual to go Mexican restaurant. I was not a fan of the fish taco, but the Border Burrito was very good. Eduardo’s is your standard to go Mexican with a lot of the classics on the menu. They are located in a strip mall attached to a free parking lot located out front so parking is easy and plentiful. Everything we ordered was made surprisingly fast so we only had to wait about 6 or 7 minutes for all of our items which was great. They have a large salsa bar in the back with a lot of good salsas with many different flavors which I appreciated. Pricing is fair and the flavors are good. As mentioned I was not a fan of the Fish Taco. It’s basically chopped up fish meat mixed with bell peppers and being that I grew up in San Diego it just didn’t taste like any fish taco that I am used to having. The border burrito with steak however was very good. The meat was well seasoned and all the flavors inside were just really harmonious and very tasty. I would definitely order the border burrito again and would stop back in next time I am in the mood for Mexican.
This place is great! I would recommend. I got the World Famous burrito and it tasted and looked amazing. The cashier was very friendly and the kitchen got my food out in less than 5 minutes! They really hussle, which is great because I was kind of in a hurry. They were also very kind in putting tortilla chips in the bag, very pleasant surprise :) They have a fresh salsa bar as well that you can pick from. I would definitely come back.
Love their shrimp burrito💛it’s better than their steak burrito imo. Also was able to find street parking
The best and most authentic Mexican food I’ve had in West LA. Amazing tacos (eaten too fast) and these incredible nachos. 10/10 recommend.
I always orders two original chicken burritos--one to eat now and one to save for later. The ingredients are fresh, the food tastes great, the service is fast and friendly. Can't recommend this place enough, show them some love!
Got a Border Burrito with chicken and an Original with steak. Both really tasty, especially with the large variety of salsas! The service really went above and beyond to make our visit great. Super friendly staff and authentic "San Diego-style" burritos! Will definitely be coming back again.
Love the Border Burrito. Love the salsa bar. Mango, tomatillo, roasted, etc... Parking is tight , but the food is worth it.
Came to LA for the day and found this amazing spot. I ordered three tacos Al carbon chicken and steak. I never had tacos that tasted so fresh, authentic and delicious in my life. Omg!!!!! This will be my go to place whenever I come to LA. The staff was so friendly and my taco was ready 5 min after I ordered. Best place ever... parking is limited but overall, amazing place.
I've been coming here for 14 years. Hands down my favorite burrito. Pictures here is the border burrito with chicken. But their steak is great too. Tacos are really good too. Something about the grilled meat in this place makes it really tasty.
Wow Eddie delivered our delicious catered meal himself! 45 minutes in traffic, because my wonderful mother turned 93! I’m sure they would never deliver from WLA to Lake Balboa normally. I big shout out to Eddie and the wonderful food he brought us. Everyone loved it and Eddie was a super cool guy! Thank you again Eddie 😃

I decided to go to the only Mexican food in LA that I will eat aside from Havier’s and Century City. But very pricey , but this place is amazing. I ordered one taco and then I ordered one taco to go the steak taco I ordered extra meat. They gave me such a huge portion and I’m starting my diet tomorrow, but it was absolutely delicious. I’ve been here a few times before They never disappoint and the lady in the front she was so sweet. She had a mask on so I hope she’s reading this. She was extremely sweet to me..! Xoxo Bon, highly recommended a must . Best grill food on the west side !
I got a chicken taco (street taco size) for $5. It was really good grilled chicken and they were generous with the portions. It also came with chips. There is a little bar where you can get as much salsa, onions, tomatoes, or cilantro that you want. The seating area inside was a bit small for our big group.
I’ve been going to Eduardo’s since they opened inn1987!!!! I was a college freshman and would go several times per week bc of the food and the staff. Some of the staff remains today and it’s always a treat going! Salsa is made fresh, chicken and steak high quality and ALL menu items are made fresh to order. At peak times, wait for the food is reasonable for the amazing quality! Prices competitive and not too high
Hidden gem, one of the best most unique burritos in LA. Sadly closing in a couple weeks so go support before then!
First time trying and the steak quesadilla was awesome! Steak was juicy and flavorful. Ingredients tasted fresh and they have their own salsa bar. The staff were very friendly!
It seems as though this long time establishment is going to stay open for the moment! Food is so fresh and delicious at a great price! I had the border burrito and it was so tasty, packed full of yummy ingredients, and generous portion! And it came with freshly fried chips! If you are in the area, please go support this local spot!
The food was really good and team was really nice. We messed up in our order for my kid (our mistake) and they exchanged it no problem. The Torta is 🔥!
Sadly, this iconic West LA Mexican establishment closes this Saturday. It was a go-to for quick and affordable lunch or dinner. Excellent burritos and meat. The best part was the fresh salsa bar. A great run of 37 years. You and your excellent staff will be missed!

Solid chicken burrito. Carne Asada taco was literally only meat, but tasty meat. Plus they throw chips in for free. Make sure you ask for salsa to go though, and they won’t be stingy with it. Good people. Fish taco was meh, but overall good experience.
Eduardo's isn't fancy. It is a humble little place in a shopping center that is served by friendly staff and serves delicious food. My hubby and I enjoyed our meal. They have been around for more than 30 years for a good reason
Another Mexican food strip mall location. Even with this in mind you should give Eduardos a try. The steak burrito was very tender and they have not only a salsa bar but all you can drink fountain. Parking is okay and after you finish eating you can go next door for ice cream. The name of that place will be in another review but you can't miss it. Eduardo you are a great cook.
What a wonderful Mexican place! Food is fantastic. Their meet is very good. They grill steaks and chop them in little pieces for the carne asada of the tacos. That means that you really can see the quality of the meet they use (with the grounded meet you never know..........). My classic there is: 1 chicken taco, 1 steak taco, 1 side of guacamole. Important: don't forget to ask for a side of guacamole. It's very good.
I got the Boarder Burrito and while it wasn’t anything mind blowing, it was very good, especially for the price. The steak was juicy and tender, all the ingredients tasted fresh and were incorporated nicely. But the price is what elevates the meal, $13 for a burrito as thick as a hydro flask and chips, is an incredible deal in this day and age. Also, the salsa bar has an amazing variety of great salsas with the standout being the mango salsa since it paired really nicely with the steak. This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in the Westwood area in terms of bang for buck.

It’s hard to be completely objective when reviewing this little Mexican joint just off Santa Monica Boulevard. Like a lot of places that have been around for many years, and once were a bright shining star – Eduardo’s began as a fresh idea – healthy, outstanding southwest/Mexican fair that was made fresh on the grill right in front of you – kind of like a street cart vendor turned into a small, upscale hole in the wall. When it first opened, the place was decorated in that pseudo southwest style with lots of turquoise, orange, and yellow – all the rage during the late eighties/early 90s. Everything was brand new, and one of its most outstanding features was a salsa bar with over 10 different freshly made salsas that were replenished on the hour. You had to wait forever for one of the 6 tables to open up, or politely share with other singles and couples – or you could stand at the table railing with other commuters. Sometimes I would just get it to go and eat in my car – a few minutes a blissful gorge-out on my lunch hour. The pricing was very reasonable, and they had the novelty of an icebox with every flavor of Jarritos! I recall there being at least three grill chefs, choreographing all of the orders, and two folks at the counter, taking orders and wrapping to go. Since the late 90s, I have returned from time to time when over on that side of the hill, and each time a little bit sadder at how far from its original glory it seems to have fallen. The inside is stripped bare, no real upkeep or pride put into decor; the food is still good, but not exceptional – the beans and rice in my burrito were undercooked, but still good. The salsa bar was not made of pretty giant glass bowls, but restaurant catering tins that look very much out of place- are they really that lazy or broke they cannot afford plastic bowls? Of course, presentation isn’t always an indicator of excellence – but if you’re spending upwards of $14 for a burrito, or $16 for a quesadilla, it would be nice if you felt like they cared about a bit of a nice experience, rather than phoning it in. When I arrived about two hours before closing – 7 o’clock on a Friday evening, it was about two tables occupied, and only two people working the counter and grill. There weren’t a lot of GrubHub or‘s or delivery folks coming in and out - in fact, I think I spotted only one, and I just kind of sat there sadly, remembering how pretty and upscale the place used to be, and while thankful that the salsa bar was back open since Covid, acutely aware of how stingy it seemed with those little tins. Also worth noting: the napkins were silk-thin- At one point I spilled a bit of salsa and tried to clean it up with the napkins, but they were so ridiculously thin and Tissue-y that I went through about 30 of them just to clean up a little spill. All of this adds up to an experience that just feels kind of chintzy and not all that appealing. Like they’re just barely getting by and you’re watching it suffer. The lovely gentlemen – Eduardo – who had opened it back in the late 80s… I hope he’s still around and healthy; he created something special, and while he may not be a part of it anymore, I’m still grateful for all those memories of indulgent dinners to go, and quick yummy lunches on the fly. I’m kind of hoping some aspiring entrepreneur or a restaurant here takes it over, and spiffs it back up and brings it back to its former glory – it certainly would be welcome. Thank you.
Food is very good but the price hurts for the portion size, I am left hungry after a burrito. The salsa bar is amazing so that might be why it's so expensive and taking into consideration overhead costs like rent, ingredients wages, etc. while trying to make a profit. Just my personal opinion, I'm still going to pay the price and come back but I'm still hungry every time I eat a burrito...lol
Border chicken burrito is good, but every time I order, they short me on chicken. So I watched the cook the other day and he put in one scoop not even flush with the top. Apparently he puts in more( overflowing over the scooper) when you’re the same ethnicity as him as witnessed. Selective food discrimination will be reported to the proper authorities!
Sadly, Edwardo's food quality and taste have gone way downhill recently. Must be a change in ownership or cooks. Dramatic downgrade. I have been a five-star fan of their burritos for decades but all that has changed. Today got a border burrito with no cheese, no sour cream, little rice, and no flavor. Not much care put into ingredients and preparation. A similar thing happened a few weeks ago. We are done with Edwardo's forever. And, sadly, I predict Eduardo's will be out of business within a year.
