Came in to Stillwell‘s for a bite and a couple of cocktails before our comedy show event and really enjoyed ourselves. Great history on the fountain that’s at the front entrance. It’s actually a well. That’s how it got its name stillwells. Really beautiful decor and super super cozy. Nice arcade room before you enter a portion of the restaurant with a lot of games in it. Nice big TVs and a beautiful fireplace. Very nice outdoor patio by the water with heat lamps and a big box playing music. Lovely atmosphere! I had a skinny margarita which was made to perfection. Made my mouth pucker just like I like it! Ashley was our server and at the beginning seemed very blah and never cracked a single smile or had much personality, but she did a full 360 halfway through our visit and was much friendlier and engaging. He had the fish wings, which were actually very very tasty. Nice and moist on the inside not too much breading and the tartar sauce was perfect. We had never heard of fish wings so thought he’d give it a try and we were pleasantly surprised at the flavor. I ordered the sticky shrimp cocktail, which was Delicious! Wonderful presentation! Looks like something out of a sci-fi lol. The sweet sauce was very tasty and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. Could’ve used a little less batter, but otherwise awesome. The downside was the price of my margaritas. $20 bucks a pop! I would’ve only ordered one had I known that. Decent prices on other items though. Otherwise a beautiful place and I recommend.

I was very impressed by the service I received. Ashley is an amazing bartender who is very passionate about her job and excels at creating a relaxing experience for customers. I tried a variety of drinks that instantly transported me to a tropical paradise. Today was the grand opening of the Tiki Tuesdays and Thursdays event and it was everything!

We came on an event weekend of the Fun Run car show while it was going on and the drink I got from the bar was perfect along with the service and music that was playing. They weren’t doing full on dinner so I can’t say anything about that but by the taste and how our appetizers were most likely speaks for everything. They weren’t making dinner until 5pm but were able to make appetizers for my husband and I which were very delicious!! I had the jalapeño poppers and let me just say the texture of the outside and melt from the cheese inside was amazing!! They are dog friendly which was a BIG PLUS since we had our pug with us. We will definitely come back and recommend! There’s no pictures to show for the appetizers besides the empty plates because I didn’t think I was going to leave a review but this definitely needed one! Rain working the bar along with serving us is super friendly and had a great attitude! :)

Me and my wife came during the off season for the mountain (July) our entire hotel had about 5 other guests and when we went to dinner, we had the entire restaurant to ourselves. This was a perfect setting. The restaurant is BEAUTIFUL and the food was exceptional. Highly recommend the Bee stung chicken. The bartender Darryl was amazing. A very friendly guy who made us feel like locals immediately. I would HIGHLY recommend this place if you're ever in town or stay at the Holiday Inn. Absolutely a Gem

Ashley was our bartender, drinks were awesome and she even gave history of some of the liqour and shared her experiences as a bartender. Atmosphere was amazing. Everyone was so sweet and helpful. Definitely would come again just for them! They made the experience

Came on a business trip with 7 other people, got the ribeye steak medium rare, it was cooked just how I asked. Plates came out at just the right times. For a restaurant attached to a hotel, this place is a great option and will probably even be coming back on my own personal travel trips. Some of the other people giving low reviews need to be a little more realistic when it comes to expectations. Great place.

I went to Stillwells bar at The holiday inn in Big Bear Lake village and what made it one of the best times ive had in Big Bear was the most beautiful, fun, life of the party bartender Ashley not only does her smile light up the room she also makes the best cocktails and she took requests for what ever kind of music you want to get your party going. If your looking for a place to go out with friends and party Nightlife VIP Style you gotta go see Ashley @ Stillwells .

Food was good not great. Prices were overpriced in my opinion. We had a large group and still spent close to $400 which was crazy for the quality of food. Atmosphere is a hotel restaurant so its like a Dennys on the inside. Nothing fancy. Servers were really nice though!

She attended to us consistently, was funny and did everything she could to accommodate us. The second night we had the owner as our waiter and he was horrible. Worst customer service I have ever had and when we complained he said "we will do better next time". As someone who has spent 25 years in retail/customer service management this is unacceptable. You should have fixed the problem immediately and offered a discount or at least take the feedback and listened to the customer. Instead we were shoved off and acted like he didn't care. Two of the plates were late as well as some sides we ordered and were cold.

Valentine's Day Disaster — Avoid Made a reservation for the Valentine's Day special. After over an HOUR of waiting, still no food — and no indication it was coming anytime soon. We eventually gave up and left. If you can't handle reservations on a holiday, don't take them. Complete waste of a special evening. Save yourself the frustration and go literally anywhere else in Big Bear.

I can't really rate the food because we didn't get to eat. We arrived about 9am for breakfast. We were told they were hosting a private event which would last to about 10. I'm not sure if I understood the woman correctly, but it sounded like she said something about crossing foods, not sure if she meant cross contamination or what, but that makes no sense. If that was what she was saying then you could only serve one table at a time. Anyhow, it was a Chamber of Commerce meeting. We decided we would wait outside for the 10am time. Btw, they had the open sign on. I ended up needing a restroom so went to ask if I could at least use the restroom. Would you believe they had locked us out??? We figured if they didn't want our business we'd go back where we had been the day and were welcomed. Now we will spend our next 2 mornings at breakfast & Teddy Bears & enjoy great & friendly conversations.
