We came only for the drinks!! We were just walking around and we found this spot… and we LOVED IT!! We came 2 in our staying in NY because it was so good!! We try all of them and our favorite was the Melon!! And watermelon!!! This place is great for some drinks and a fun time with friends
Hands down the best service in NYC. We come here quite often and every time it’s an amazing time. Food is solid (get the spicy chicken if you can handle spice). Great atmosphere and an amazing place.
This is a really interesting place with a grungy feel that reminds me of a similar place in heart of Seoul. We got their watermelon cocktail, which is served inside of a carved-out watermelon. Although I hadn't expected that, it did make a for a sweet drink. I got their skewered meat which was charred very well and savory.
Have you ever had a soju cocktail from a watermelon? I haven’t, but this was awesome. The pineapple one was also delicious, but I think the melon one might’ve been the best Food was great too, but I wasn’t a big fan of the Pork Trotter. Entire table avoided it after a bite or two unfortunately. Vibe was awesome, but every time they play the song for someone’s birthday, it got so loud it was actually a bit crazy! Maybe watch out if you’ve got hearing problems
One of my favorite spots in ktown 💘💖❤️🔥!! The food is great! The drinks are great i love their watermelon soju 🤤. The atmosphere reminiscent of street food vendors vibe with so much aura ✨️. The staff is so nice as well <3. I would recommend rsvp if you come in groups of 4+ people. Also it is 10% off if you pay by cash!! 💵🤑💰 #cashisking
Pocha 32 is such a fun spot in Koreatown! The vibes are unmatched — lively, colorful, and full of energy. I love how their ceiling is decorated with soju bottle caps. The food is good but it tastes like it’s just been reheated hence the serving time is just minutes after ordering. Their drinks are refreshing and very unique and instagram worthy. I got the watermelon soju and honeydew melon soju. Hello welcome not ourselves. Sadly you can even call and call our number. Funny story was that we actually wanted to order the fruit soju actually placed in the shell of the fruit so it’s like a fruit bowl, but we order the wrong size and It ended up being in the packets. The staff were so nice and even let us try a new brand of soju on the house!
Had such a great time here! The food was absolutely spectacular and full of flavor. The staff was super kind and attentive, making us feel really welcome. We especially loved the yogurt soju (and the other flavors we tried), so fun and delicious! The place itself is very cute and cozy, perfect for hanging out and chatting with friends, and the music added a really cool vibe. Definitely a spot I’d recommend and come back to!
Ambiance (5/5): Located on the second floor, the restaurant has soju caps hanging from the ceiling and lights strung up to provide a cozy but also fun atmosphere. The music was a little too loud for my taste but I could see being fun. Expect only seating hanging as there is no place to stand to drink/hang out. We were seated immediately for our reservation slot (there was also plenty of tables available at 6p on a weekday) Service (5/5): We were helped immediately and serviced throughout our dining experience! Pineapple cocktail (4/5): The pineapple comes pre-scooped and we even got an extra serving on the side! My only qualm is that the inside left a 1-inch perimeter of pineapple wasted. The cocktail is also served in bowls which was weird to me, definitely would prefer a cup over a bowl. The serving size was approximately 4 small bowls. Cantaloupe cocktail (4/5): This was sizable and comes with a popsicle stick. When melted, the sugar/taste of the popsicle will command the taste of the remainder of the bowl (became too sweet for us towards the end!) Dumplings (5/5): I thought that the fried outside was perfect. The inside was seasoned well! Stir-fried Spicy Pork (5/5): Super flavorful, tender cuts of meat, and great portion. Not too spicy for those that can’t handle heat. May be a smidge on the salty side. Looking over to my neighbors who ordered the grilled variety, I’m glad I went with the stir fry option because our dish looked more seasoned and ingredients were incorporated into the dish.
Haven't gone there in over 10 years but it's still the same vibe as when I last visited. It's such a staple in Ktown in my eyes. I love how everything is family style so if you're with friends or family, you can order a few items and just share everything. The watermelon Soju is great! I would recommend getting another bottle of Soju to add to it when you're at the halfway point. The stuffed Squid with pork was so good. The only downfall was that it was a little too spicy for our liking. The person I brought with me is a champ with spicy food but that was a little overwhelming. I don't know if they are able to edit how much heat is added to the dish but if you can't handle spicy food, be sure to tell the server because I'm sure anything with their gochujang is gonna open up some pores.
This is the whole grind Korean experience. The soju watermelon and beef was epic. We followed it with the kitchen fried rice and spicy pork belly. So good food. Its a no frills environment with just nothing but good food and drink. If you visit with great company this is an awesome place to keep it low key yet is a vibe. EIN was an amazing server and made some awesome recommendations. Service with a smile and excellence
Pocha 32 is my favorite place for a fun night out with friends! The whole place is just so adorable and lively. I absolutely love the cute decor, with soju bottle caps hanging from the ceiling and sweet little notes written everywhere. It makes for such a fun vibe! The drinks and food are everything! We always get the watermelon soju, and it's so much fun. We got both the cute pouch with the light-up ice cubes and the real deal served in the half-cut watermelon. The BBQ chicken is delicious too, and it's the perfect meal to share. Even though the music is super loud (haha) and the person at the door was a tad rude, the servers were so nice and sweet. The whole experience is always worth it!
Celebrated a birthday for my friend here and everyone was exceptional. The servers were attentive and our food was served promptly upon ordering. We had problem deciding what to order initially so we kept asking for more time, and they were very kind to wait for us. They were able to accommodate one of my friends who had a shellfish allergy for the rice cakes by not adding in fish cakes. And they also gave us a candle and played the birthday song for my friend. Vibes and atmosphere was great! Gratuity is already added on the receipt with extra tip on the bottom. I tipped extra for the great experience.
Pocha 32 did the drinks right. We ended up ordering each soju they had and felt they were all good. The yogurt and honeydew were my personal favorites. The food was decent but also pretty expensive compared to what you can get around the area. The vibes inside were also great, the music and wall decor fit was great company to have while drinking.
Fun place to drink in koreatown! We got the Watermelon soju and the melon soju. The watermelon soju was delicious! I do not like bottled fruit soju as they are too sweet for me but this fresh watermelon soju was very refreshing and not overly sweet! The melon soju was nice but I would recommend just getting the watermelon soju. The ddeokbbeoki was decent but very small for $20. Overall the service was good, they are very fast.
I enjoy going to pocha because they stay open late. They're famous for their fruit soju, with flavors like watermelon, pineapple, and honeydew, which I find quite good. After a late night, I often come here for their seafood stew, which includes ramen, mushrooms, spam, and kimchi--it's really comforting. The eel and pig's trotter are also excellent, while the seafood pancake, though tasty, can be a bit too oily for my liking. It can get busy during peak dinner hours, so there might be a wait. The prices are reasonable, and a fun touch is that you can grab a marker to write or draw on the walls to leave a memory.
We loved this place so much that we came twice during our trip to NYC. The food is absolutely incredible—super flavorful, delicious, and served unbelievably fast. It’s hands down the best Korean food I’ve ever tried! The ambiance is lively and fun, with a youthful crowd that adds to the energy. On our second visit, we arrived after midnight without a reservation and had to wait on the stairs, so I highly recommend booking in advance to avoid the wait.
Unfortunately, this place feels very different now. It used to be such a cool spot to hang out after work or grab dinner, especially late at night when it was packed with energy and the food was great. This time, the experience was not the same. The atmosphere felt off and the food quality has definitely gone down compared to before. The only positive was that the service was still on point. It’s disappointing because this used to be one of my favorite late-night places.
After liquors, my friends suggested we grab some late-night food here. The overall taste was just average, and based on my friends' opinions, the quality seems inconsistent. BBQ Beef: The best dish! The beef was tender and juicy, with a delicious aroma of fat and rich meat juices. The seasoning was primarily sweet but not overpowering, enhancing the overall flavor. BBQ Chicken Feet: It was a bit spicy for me, a Cantonese, but still tasty. The chicken feet were so tender that the bones came off easily with just a bite. Japche / Beef: Disappointing. Generally, Japche, or in China, Chao He Cai炒合菜(Stir-fried mixed vegetables), shouldn't have much sauce, but this place had a thick layer of sauce. Besides being excessively salty and sweet, I couldn't taste any other flavors. The restaurant lighting was really dim; if you plan to take photos, remember to use extra lighting.
Came here the other night for a quick dinner before a comedy show, and I will say the vibe always hits at this place. The pub-feel and music are always great though a tiny bit loud at times. The food is good and we have some reliable favorites - the corn cheese, fried dumplings, BBQ meat - though I would say it's slightly above average. The soju is definitely a draw here - watermelon, melon, and pineapple and these are always great - sometimes maybe a bit too strong. All in all, a good place to pop in for a quick bite but if you're looking for fancy food in K-town or another Korean BBQ experience would obviously go elsewhere.
BE WARNED AWFUL SERVICE ON WEEKEND NIGHTS Food and drinks were good! I really enjoyed the corn cheese, one of the best I’ve had in my opinion. My friends and I went on a Friday night so it was packed. The atmosphere was lively and decent but the service was terrible, worst service I’ve ever gotten at a pocha place. The server was not attentive so we needed to grab his attention if we wanted anything (we didn’t even call for him that much) but we had to wait long times because it was hard to get him. I know it is typical to call for your servers if you want anything at pocha but this was bad. No hospitality and never checked in on us either. I understand it was a busy Friday night but he was taking shots with another table and being quite attentive to them lol We went to another pocha in K-Town the next night and it was so much better in every aspect and it was a busier Saturday night. I may try this place again but the service is deterring me from coming back.
Food is decent. Size - much smaller portions than they used to give, only had 1 pack of ramyun in the army soup (had to request for a second for $2-3. Service is ok, don’t expect any enthusiasm from the staff.
The food was not good at all. Very disappointing because this place gets a lot of hype. The drinks are ok. If it’s 3am go to another place for food. If you just want to drink sure. I understand it was loud but I was charged the non cash option when I paid with cash and that was disappointing to see the next day when me and my group were low maintenance and did not ask for much of anything. Not worth it.
