Cafe Paulette is extraordinary and the owner, Angelique, is the most wonderful person you will ever meet!! The food is fabulous and you feel like you are dining in a cafe in Paris!! Magnifique!

Warm friendly service atmosphere and the brunch was superb. Our carafe of Bloody Marys delicious. The eggs florentine perfect, and the crème brûlée the best I’ve had in years.

One bite of escargot and you feel transported to a Parisian cafe. Whether a lunch salad Nicoise mussels, it’s delicious and not overly buzzy indoors or on the patio. Perfect neighborhood hang. Try next door for coffee & croissant or to pick up a morning baguette. This turns into a quiet & cozy wine bar at night.

This is a truly French cafe where every little part of the meal is superb. Best brunch in the city I’ve ever had. Angelique is so welcoming and personable. And services dances! Don’t miss her crème brûlée and tarte tatin. Perfect!!!

Next time I'm nearby, I'll make sure to stop in for another meal. Café Paulette had good service that allowed us to focus on our social time. The dishes meet the predicted standard. The team offers outstanding customer attention. I will revisit this spot soon.

Yelp reviews from repeat customers convinced me this place was good. Their menu items deliver exceptional tastiness. Even when stretched, the workers maintain service quality. Their dishes demonstrate skill in looks and taste. I have to go back to increase their rating.

Absolutely fantastic experience at Café Paulette! Everything was top-notch, from the attentive service to the charming atmosphere. The steak was cooked to perfection, I recommend ordering it medium for the best texture. Don't leave without trying their freshly squeezed orange juice, it's a real treat!

This quaint little BK French bistro is a gem in the neighborhood offering fantastic service, cuisine and ambiance. Came in a couple times for a show down the street at the Brooklyn Paramount and loved it each time. Always ask what the specials are because they are delicious. The dish pictured I believe was the raclette and it was so ooey gooey and delicious.

This is a charming and authentic French bistro in Ft Greene that really does feel like an escape to France. Absolutely delicious French Onion soup that's full of sweet onions and not too much bread. Well seasoned mussels in a white wine sauce with crispy frites. The atmosphere is warm and cozy and lots of outdoor seating.

I always walked by this place thinking it was a great location but weary to try the food as I thought it was just being opportunistic with it being one of the only restaurants truly on Fort Greene park. Well, I was missing out. The food! Incredible. The staff! Outstanding and genuinely kind hearted. The ambiance! I stepped into France for a fleeting moment. I’ve been back multiple times since I came here for the first time in March, and it only gets better.

Highly recommend, good bank for your buck here! Love the atmosphere, indoor and out especially if there’s sunshine. Portions were pretty good (NY standards). Service was quick, we had brunch within 45min. A lot of people come here so that they can hang out at Fort Green Park before/after, amazing location for that reason.

I want to give this place 5 stars…but I just can’t. Brunch here is incredible. Went for dinner, our server didn’t seem to want to talk to us. Didn’t hear about any of the specials (heard waiter telling another table about them). Waiter didn’t come to check on us once the entire meal. So much potential.

At Café Paulette, tucked along the quiet, tree-lined South Elliott Place just steps from Fort Greene Park, the experience feels like stumbling upon a slice of Paris hidden in Brooklyn. The café’s corner location, with its charming bistro tables spilling out onto the sidewalk, hums with a subtle European rhythm—laughter drifting between glasses, the clink of cutlery, the soft hum of French pop playing in the background. On a crisp evening, I settled into a small marble-topped table under the amber glow of a vintage lamp and ordered the planche mixte—the signature charcuterie and cheese board—and a glass of Bordeaux red to accompany it. The board arrived on a sturdy slab of wood, artfully arranged but without pretense—rustic yet deliberate. The meats formed a savory mosaic: delicate ribbons of prosciutto di Parma folded into soft petals; slices of saucisson sec, their marbled fat gleaming under the low light; and smoky, peppered coppa that added a touch of spice and warmth. Each bite revealed a different facet of craftsmanship—the prosciutto melting into buttery silk, the saucisson offering a firm, satisfying chew, and the coppa lingering with a bold, almost earthy aroma. The portions were generous but never overwhelming, designed for leisurely grazing rather than hurried consumption. The cheese selection complemented the meats with a careful balance of texture and intensity. A wedge of brie de Meaux oozed gracefully at the edges, rich and decadent, its mild earthiness deepening as it met the Bordeaux. The comté, aged to perfection, carried nutty undertones and a crystalline crunch that spoke to its maturity. A pungent bleu d’Auvergne brought contrast and intrigue—sharp yet creamy, its saltiness offset by a drizzle of honey served on the side. Scattered around the board were small pleasures that tied everything together: crisp cornichons offering bright acidity, tiny mounds of Dijon mustard with just the right bite, and a still-warm baguette with a shattering crust and pillowy center, baked that morning across the street. The Bordeaux was an impeccable companion—a full-bodied red that opened with aromas of plum, black cherry, and cedar. Its tannins were structured but never harsh, allowing it to glide easily alongside the richness of the charcuterie. The first sip deepened the flavors of the meats; the second melted seamlessly into the creaminess of the cheese. Together, wine and board danced in harmony—each amplifying the other, never competing. What truly defines Café Paulette, however, isn’t just the quality of its food and wine but the intimacy of the experience. The servers glide with quiet confidence, happy to discuss the origin of a particular cheese or suggest a pairing without an ounce of pretension. There’s a sense that time slows here—conversations stretch, glasses are refilled, and the night drifts along softly, like a French chanson playing just out of reach. By the time I finished the last piece of baguette, the board was nearly bare—a few smudges of honey, a lone slice of comté, a whisper of mustard. I lingered over the final sip of Bordeaux, savoring the warmth that lingered both in the glass and in the atmosphere. Café Paulette is not just a place to eat; it’s a place to savor—a quiet, elegant reminder that the simple combination of good wine, good food, and good company is still the essence of dining at its finest.

Noisy place. Duck is nice. Escargot I wouldn't recommend. Too sour and without shells. Profiteroles serve with ice cream and black hot chocolate. Delicious

Nice brunch spot with cute views of fort greene park. We ordered eggs benedict which was really good—the ham they use is different from canadian bacon. The ham is sliced thin and has a very nice smoky flavor. The hollandaise sauce is also well seasoned and I’m glad they don’t drench the dish with it. Comes with yummy fries and a side salad to balance things out. The side order of bacon was also good. Giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because the drinks were somewhat disappointing for a cafe spot like this. The oat milk matcha was flat and watery (i think it has to do with lots of melted ice and the type of grainy oat milk they use, also not enough matcha powder) the iced coffee was also just mediocre, ice was pretty much all melted and kinda tasted like weak deli coffee. I will say the fresh squeezed orange juice was refreshing.

Great salmon burger with super crispy and chewy hot off the fryer fries, and came with a delicious mustard. The escargot was meaty, although could have been more flavorful (tasted somewhat bland).

A small and packed space that offers a strong menu of French food. I was not the biggest fan of this restaurant as I felt the prices did not accurately reflect the dishes. We ordered the artichoke salad, an onion soup, and the steak frites. Artichoke salad was great - fresh, crunch, acidic and delicious Onion soup - to me, it felt like the soup had a slight tomato base. The cheese and bread was great, but I felt the onions had not stewed enough. 6.5/10 Steak frites - Beware! $40 for a small piece of steak (w frites and salad). Tasted good, but definitely NOT worth the price. I’m glad I went and tried this place, I’ve always walked past it and wanted to know how it was. I would recommend for perhaps a first date.

This is a fantastic brunch spot for authentic French cuisine! The croque madame was delicious, with a generous serving size packed with flavor. The steak frites was equally impressive, with a perfect herb butter sauce complementing the tender steak. The fries were nice and crispy. If you're even in the area, please drop by this lovely spot! I would love to try their burgers next time

Went here with my mom and boyfriend for a midweek breakfast / brunch and it was nice. It was no frills, pretty straightforward. The coffee was intensely strong in a fun way and they also give you big mugs of it. Cafe Paulette does not shy away from sharing their fries with you. Cheese quantity is also not a worry. All in all everything was very yum.

For those who want to take some fancy brunch pictures to make your friends jealous - this is your spot. The food looks and tastes amazing, and there are a lot of good options. If one thing holds this place back slightly it'd have to be the seating and vibe of the place. It isn't bad, but it doesn't really match up with the really nice looking food. The outdoor seating did look better though, perhaps next time i will go for that.

I’ve been a few times and to sum it up; a very cute restaurant with a decent atmosphere. Went on Valentines night and the service was attentive and the busser was so very sweet! The burrata with balsamic was good on its own, but with the pear frisée salad; it was way overdressed and lacking croutons. I will say the pomme frites are by far my favorite and I hope they have the veggie burgers & salads back as they didn’t that night. To end it all, one of the waiters suggested a very delicious off-dry white wine that I’ve been hunting down and will have to try again!

Not a big review gal, but I recently arrived at 5:30pm for walk-in dinner for two at the bar; the hostess asked me to sit between the only two customers - my friend was close (walking over) and the hostess insisted that I go nextdoor for a drink - they couldn't seat me - to which I replied that I would order dinner and sit and wait for my friend - 2 mins later my friend arrived and we were reseated one seat down the bar, together. It was such a strange power move - I wasn't expecting to be confronted with poor hospitality. Later, the service hovered over every dish and glass of wine pressuring us to leave. I would just avoid Paulette - it's stressful, and not the vibe!

Went to this after picking up my child from school across the street. The owner has a horrible disposition and I would NEVER EVER. go there again. Not a people person . Otherwise food was OK. There are much better establishments in the area. Don't waste your money here.

Avoid if sitting outside unless you enjoy bugs with your wine. It’s a wonderfully located quaint wine bar just outside Fort Greene Park with plentiful outdoor seating. However do stay away if you plan sit outside as abundant flying insects are drawn to the wines and inevitably one came inside my glass. When I brought it to the attention of the waiter, they responded with apathy, brushing it off as a common occurrence and offered a spoon as remedy. Or alternatively 5% off for a new pour. How laughable. Understand this is a tricky scenario but at minimum more care could be taken in responding to such situations such as a forewarning before customers sit down if indeed this is a situation that happens all day long as the waiter relayed. Will not return.
