Took my mom for Mother’s Day. Good food, and good service. Would love to go back.

If I could give this restaurant & its employees 20 stars I would. Being a Williamsburg native, and having grown up my whole life on Leonard Street about 100 feet from this restaurant is a bonus to go back home and see just a little bit of familiarity in the neighborhood I barely recognize anymore. The food in this place is beyond perfection! The crab cakes & short rib rolls are to die for! ANY entree ordered is cooked to perfection & their sides are fresh, hot & delicious!!! We will keep going back to Bklyn all the time just to eat here! The staff & the owner are so attentive, you cannot ask for better!!!

Beet salad was awesome. Sides of creamed spinach and brussel sprouts were divine. The filet minion was tender and flavorful. If I were to nitpick, it wasn't cooked all the way to my satisfaction, I like my steaks black and blue and there wasn't enough char; however I still very much enjoyed it.

Brought my family for Mother Day! The waiter was very kind to my family and the food was superb. The Pork Chop was exquisite. He even got us complimentary desert when the tiramisu was out. Overall a wonderful experience and I will definitely be going back!!!

Went for a surprised birthday dinner date. Very welcoming and professional service from an entry till the check time. Had a reservation but tables were available at 7pm Saturday night. The food was awesome, tasty French onion soup, Filet mignon was melting in my mouth, and the cut fries are out of this world. First time but won't be the last, highly recommend. Ps. This was our first visit to New York and we’ve chosen De Stefanos from the web after good reviews. Food was up to perfection. We ordered ribeye on bone and fillet mignon. Meat was so tender and juicy cooked to perfection. Our waiter: Christian was professional so friendly person. It was an excellent experience in Christmas days. If it happens to visit New York back again I would definitely come back again. NB. I couldn’t resist the temptation of food and unfortunately the photos didn’t look neat enough.

Been here a couple of times and it never disappoints. Authentic and sticks to it's roots, warm and inviting feeling. Food is amazing and never lacking flavor. Steaks are the best around Brooklyn. Sides are of bigger portion then you think. I like to go with a small side when I'm with my fiance it's just perfect. Prices are perfect for what you're getting on the table and service.

Destefano Steak house is one my top 3 places to go and have dinner. My husband and I have been visiting this place for a long time (this is where he asked me out and the place we went on our pre-wedding dinner, and after-wedding dinner.) The menu has many options, and portions are good enough for one person. The desserts? Tirramisu is my favorite!! It has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere, definitely perfect for a first date or anniversary or any special occasion. The staff here is very kind, polite and friendly. Definitely would recommend this place on a 100% YOU WONT REGRET IT.

Porterhouse steak is just amazing and juicy! It’s crispy but really moist inside!! All the staffs in this restaurant are super kind and friendly. And Love atmosphere so much!!! Wanna visit Dstefano’s Steakhouse again! Best nyc steak house!!!

First time here and it did not disappoint! Serves was very friendly and food was great! I loved how they had jalapeño stuffed olives for the martinis!!! Steak was cooked to perfection! We had the barbecue shrimp, steak, lamb chops, salad and fries… loved the steak as well as the lamb chops! I do recommend this cozy steakhouse!!!

I love this steakhouse. The food is always perfectly cooked and extremely flavorful. Everyone who works here treats us like we are part of the family and their staff is extra attentive. We've been to many large name brand steakhouses and none of them can top this small secret gem of a steakhouse! Our favorite items on the menu include: caesar salad, porterhouse for two, mashed potatoes and string beans. Their creamed corn and bacon are also extremely delicious. For dessert, take a slice of cheesecake to go to enjoy as a snack one you're no longer stuffed. Hands down my favorite steakhouse 💖

Googled best Steak houses, this came up read reviews and made my reservation. Came here to celebrate my 11th Yr anniversary with my wife. From the moment entering the place, old school vibe and staff very welcoming. Michelle was our waitress. She was excellent. She helped my wife and I with the menu and suggest things on the menu based on our Appetite. The food was amazing from the appetizer to the dessert. Started with the tomato, basil, and stuffed mozzerella. It was so good, sorry no picture that's how fast we ate it. Main dish we both ordered the 160z NY Strip medium rare. So tender and mouth watering. Cut it with a "Butter Knife". Our side was the Garlic mashed Potatoes. Let me not even get started with this. I love mash and I could eat that every day. Creamy smooth not overpowering with garlic. For last we had the mousse trilogy. Fantastic it was. I ate more of it I did not want share it. I highly recommend this place great food and amazing staff.

I have been coming to DeStefano's for years and they never disappoint. I recently brought my father in law there for Father's Day, he was blown away by the meal. Get the crab cake appetizer, I promise you will thank me. We had the ribeye and NY strip, both came out absolutely perfect as always. It's family owned and operated. Forget about some of the other big name steak houses in NY, run to DeStefano's.

Came here with my family over the weekend and 10/10. From the appetizers to the specials to the mains, my mom and dad each got a steak and I got the pork - stunning!!!!! Everything even the string beans flavored to delight. Incredible and attentive service and I just can’t wait to return.

We ordered the porterhouse steak, which was perfectly seasoned and cooked, the pear, arugula, and pancetta salad was absolutely mouthwatering, and the portobello Napolitano was incredibly delicious. To top it all off, my husband and I really enjoyed the Lambrusco wine! All the staff and servers were warm and accommodating, and they even gave us the best seat to celebrate my husband’s birthday. I highly recommend visiting them. It’s perfect for special occasions, date nights, and more!

We had an amazing experience here. We were personally taken care of by the owner. The food was amazing, and the portions were large. Everything was perfect. If you're in the area, it's worth the trip to Brooklyn ( the L subway train stops right in front of his place).

My husband and I absolutely LOVED our dining experience at DeStafanos! My husband had the Filet Mignon and I had the Ribeye with creamed corn, bacon wrapped asparagus, crab cakes, garlic mashed potatoes and a salad! Came for the 1st time tonight after driving by & doing a deep dive on it. Believe all the reviews you read. Our experience tonight was perfection. If you want to try it by sitting at the bar where the full menu is available, be hosted by the lovely Michelle behind the bar, a veteran of the place.. and you’ll be glad you did. We sat at a table for 4. Took Michelle’s advise and ordered to eat family style. 40oz porterhouse and chicken cordon blue were the mains. Sides can be ordered in 3 sizes. Get the large garlic mashed potatoes, for the famous creamed spin and corn sides. Apps were amazing crab cakes two big enough to share and beet salad were both amazing. Our waitress was extremely nice and helpful!! Go!!!

The steak crust was really good-we got the ribeye. It was good-cooked medium rare like we asked. I enjoyed the bread and cesar salad. I could do without the creamed corn. We would come back!

Peter Luger who? I brought my husband here for a belated birthday. It was phenomenal. Not exaggerating at all. When you first walk in, you feel homey. Like you’re grabbing dinner at your family home. We got the crab cake, porterhouse for two. We also got the garlic mash potato and the spinach. All of them were delicious. The server before sitting us down asked me if I’m celebrating anything and I told her late birthday. Doing the end, we got dessert on the house. Super sweet and I didn’t leave the restaurant feeling too full. Just right.

Had an amazing dinner at DeStefano's. It's a cozy joint with dim lighting, but in a good way. We ordered their Steak wedges which was just the right amount of crispy but soft inside. 2018.04 ordered only De Stefano crab cake and 40 oz Porter house... Crab cake is great Abt a large scallop size and full of crab meat taste fresh.... And Porter house is fabulous. Perfect aged and medium rare.. Usually medium rare came out medium at other restaurants. Tender and juicy. Not as dry as other aged steak restaurant... Service are excellent... Environment is warm..coz u will see lot of owner family pic

My girlfriend and I went to the Steakhouse in November last year it was amazing. Steak was to die for we had thePorterhouse for two. Service was top notch, Sides were mouthwatering. We from Boston but when we go back to NYC we are stopping here again.!

A friendly, cozy steakhouse found in Brooklyn. No pretences here, just great staff, a friendly atmosphere, and delicious food. It is definitely worth the trek out from Manhattan. Reservations for dinner are highly recommended as this restaurant has a small dining room. The steaks are excellent - dry-aged with great marbling texture. We had the porterhouse with a side of creamed corn tonight with the Portobello mushroom and wedge salad to start. My only complaint was too much peppercorn on the steak, but otherwise everything was delicious and very flavourful. To finish off with dessert, we had the tartuffo which was sat in a delicious chocolate shell. Excellent experience and amazing staff!

DeStefano’s is one of the best steakhouses in Brooklyn. The owner Joe is terrific and the staff is too. You really feel like you’re at home inside. The porter house for two and the prime rib is incredible every time. So good that they don’t even give you steak knives here! The quality of the meat is so good that you don’t need them! The creamed corn is probably my favorite appetizer as well. Can’t go wrong at DeStefano’s. The brunch here is amazing too. I often find myself at the front bar hanging with Michelle and sipping on a Bloody Mary. If you haven’t been, this place is a must!

Old steakhouse in Brooklyn, atmosphere is great and cozy. Our porterhouse steak was amazing with mashed potatoes so was the ribeye and cream corn. Pear salad was also delicious. We had such a kind server with great suggestions for food and wine. It was truly a great experience. We will be back.

So so so delicious. Ordered the 16 oz, the chicken and a few sides and apps. Everything was *chefs kiss*. The steak was cooked impeccably. But I can’t get over how good the chicken was cooked and the flavor profile of the dish. Yes yes I know it’s a steakhouse but I cannot stop thinking about that chicken!!!!!

I was taken here for my birthday on a Sunday late afternoon/early evening. I had the piece of bacon,literally 1 piece,as the appetizer. It was delicious! Also the short ribs balls...did not disappoint. When I eat meat,it has to be good; the filet mignon was cooked to my liking~ melt in your melt quality. Service was very good and not overdone; friendly & professional. Everyone had obviously been informed and the staff was knowledgeable. We also did 3 sides, we love our vegetables. The other table member had the lamb lollipops with no complaints! It is a higher end pricing but the quality of food & service line up. It was a good time and wonderful experience. It doesn't hurt when the company is great also!

took my wife here for her birthday and I have to say this is one of the top dining experiences weve had, and the food was outstanding along with our waitress and the overall vibe. We got the 12 oz filet mignon, with crab cake appetizer, potatoes, and sauteed mushroom side dish and it was one of the best meals ive ever eaten. The filet mignon was perfect. Message for the owner: The place is immaculately clean and polished that from that simple fact I could care less what the food tasted like because I was so comfortable eating there! One of my favorite steakhouses I’ve ever visited. The service was outstanding from the moment we walked in. We started with the iceberg salad and portobello mushrooms — both fresh and full of flavor. For the main course, we shared the Porterhouse steak for two, cooked perfectly medium rare just as we ordered. Sides included creamy corn topped with cheese , rich and delicious. We enjoyed a couple of glasses of wine, and to top it off, the owner generously treated us to tiramisu on the house, a sweet and thoughtful touch. The atmosphere inside is warm and welcoming, with a great vibe throughout. Highly recommend to all my friends and family - and without a doubt, I’ll be back in the blink of an eye.

This place is very clean, the waiters very friendly. I am not a meat person, but I wanted to bring my husband because it was his birthday, he loves meat. My husband and children loved it and I liked it a lot too. When I made the online reservation I gave them a note that I wanted a good table since it was my husband's birthday and when my children ordered dessert they brought an extra for my husband with the sign Happy Birthday without asking.

This steakhouse is fit for any type of gathering but do not expect it to be loud like other restaurants/steakhouses can be. The drinks, appetizers, and main course were amazing. This was indeed a fine dining experience! We made a reservation at 5pm on a weekday - not busy at all. The waitress was really helpful and friendly. The crab cakes were a great start. Had a light crisp, flavorful, and well-seasoned. The lamb and the prime rib were excellent. Juicy, tender, great flavor. Takes you to another planet! The creamed spinach was delicious. And the pecan pie for dessert was a fantastic end to the meal. Would definitely recommend a meal at this establishment for a special occasion!

My daughter took me on a date tonight the food was cooked to perfection!! I ordered the lamb chops with a butter pistachio topping, Amazing!! My daughter ordered a 24oz steak, dinner was so delicious. I'll most definitely be back for the lamb chops!!

Would have gave a five but dident like what my sever did when my friend informed him it was my b day. Over all i loved it.the food was great and came out in a decent amount of time.the atmosphere is what i really loved.from the lighting to the pictures on the wall the place definitely gives off all school authentic steak house vibes. My wife decided to take me here for my birthday knowing I loved a good steak. Let me just start by saying the steaks are indeed good, beyond good. The porterhouse for 2 is a great option for any 2 diners so you can try the filet and strip. Both were butter knife tender and seasoned extremely well. The bone in rib eye is a great choice for those into a fattier steak. But my heart is still with the strip. For sides, we had the garlic mashed potatoes, creamed corn, creamed spinach, both of the fries. All of the sides heavenly, just go with the small. Going backwards to the appetizers, I loved the crab cakes and grilled portobello mushroom. The short rib spring rolls were great but I think more beef and less mash would’ve been better. I was afraid I would get too full before the journey of meat ahead.

We enjoyed our food. It was delicious, but overpriced. The entrees don't come w/sides. You have to buy them separately. The menu is limited, not many selections.

Parking wasn't as bad as I expected for the area, that's one of the main things for me. Dinner was good, that was expected. We ordered an egg roll appetizer, shrimp, thi k cut bacon sloves, a few different cuts of steak, salads, mashed potatoes, and creamed spinach. Bacon was impressive but there was nothing bad on the table. Staff was very friendly and pleasant.

Birthday dinner @ Destefano's was AMAZING!!! You know you had a good time when you forget to take any 'before' pics and only have an empty plate to show for the delicious dinner. Highly recommend the 'porterhouse for 2'. We also shared the creamed spinach, wedge potatoes, sweet &spicy bacon and the arugula pear salad. There were left overs to go and my martinis were made to Perfection! Most memorable was our server Emily. She was friendly and knowledgeable, an absolute delight. I would return again and again for those perfect martinis and Emily's warm service. Kudos to Destefano's for providing an all around delectable dining experience. 👏

Came here with a friend for dinner. I think there was one other 4-top in the entire dining room that ordered slightly after us. Otherwise, dead. Ordered a number of sides and apps, they were generally good. I love how they chill the Caesar salad. I ordered a 12oz filet, medium well. It comes out beyond blue, very raw. Rare, I'd take, uncooked, no thanks. They refired the two halves of the steak they'd brought out. It was medium, but whatever. My friend ordered the ribeye, and they offer to slice it in the kitchen, which they did. Pictured is the steak THE KITCHEN sliced, so no excuse for this. Server came by and asked how it was, I just pointed to this steak, he got it right away. Manager came over and let us know he'd comped one of the steaks. If this place wasn't so expensive, or they were slammed with customers, I'd be more understanding. As it stands, I can't recommend this place. Oh, and similar issue last time I was here. I won't be back.

I wish they mentioned on the menu that the steaks were heavily pepper crusted. I would have asked to avoid that but it was well cooked. The server was very attentive but service was ultra fast so we ultimately felt rushed to leave.

Took my parents here and we all ordered our steaks medium or medium rare, all of them came out medium well. The sides were ok but not great. Service was meh. So disappointing for the price.

Long story short I ordered the rib rolls, French onions soup, 24oz rib eye , my girl friend ordered the 12oz filet mignon, and a medium Italian style cream spinach, along with drinks. I’m no chef but I know how to cook a FLAVOR steak . And these steaks had no flavor but just pepper. The soup tasted like boiled tea water . The best item in terms of taste was the cream of spinach. The service/waiter was great. Nothing bad with the service but the food… not worth spending 300+ dollars. Great server but the food was trash.
