Came for the smashburger on NYE and it was probably the best burger I’ve had all year. The flavors work together so well with the perfectly juicy patty, and the fried duck egg (a must!) is the icing on the cake. Paired it with the rice lager beer and it was the perfect lunch - just wish they offered it during dinner as well. Service can be a bit slow during peak hours but they were all very nice.
I think this place is famous for their burger. Tasty sauce and flavor on the burger but the crispy pork belly wok dish blows it away. Super flavorful, crispy pork belly (3-4x cooked?! - roast, hot oil, wok cook, ++) with delicious beans and a serving of rice. I'd be happy to go back but I'm enjoying more wok dishes - I also am biased towards quantity lol
Little Grenjai is hands down one of my new favorite spots. The food is so fresh, and the flavors are super unique with a Thai-American twist I’ve never had before. Every bite feels different and exciting. We had the crispy rice salad, brussel sprouts, shrimp pad Thai, chicken wing dinner, chicken curry puff and honestly, I could eat here all day—breakfast, lunch, and dinner. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Staff was on point for my friends' food allergies and she had a wonderful experience as well... 11/10!
Let me be so completely honest and share that this is one of my FAVORITE restaurants in the neighborhood. I’ve come for lunch and dinner many times and everything has been so.insanely.good. Some highlights: the burger, which is one of the best I’ve had in years, and the crab fried rice with miso butter, which is large but so addictive, (gone in minutes when shared with a group). The last time I visited, I ordered a seasonal ice cream that was rich, salty, creamy, and wonderful. I will solemnly mourn it once it’s no longer on the menu. This place is worth coming back to again and again
Truly fantastic Thai food! Pretty small spot, but super unique. We LOVED the Crab Fried Rice with Yuzu Miso Butter. Talk about a flavor bomb - this is a must to hit your table. The Crab Rangoon were also a treat - super fresh ingredients. Burger is pretty good and getting one for the table to share is never a bad idea. Maybe skip the fries? Left me wanting more. Went on a Sunday a little after prime lunch time (1:30pm) and was able to sit within 5 mins. It’s a counter ordering system with food delivery service to the table - more of a casual spot / vibe.
I came here on a really busy Sunday, but we were the first to arrive and so we were seated immediately. They had a few outages that day, but they were able to work around it and give us other options for the dishes that we ordered. They were kind enough to make sure that we got reimbursed on the parts of the order that they could not fulfill And I will say that all the food that came out was really delicious. I especially really like the burger and the Matcha that I got. The space looks like a diner and service seems really fast and friendly, the owners are from the Neighbourhood and so they have a really good feel and vibe for the place and they also seem to welcome a lot of locals here. I definitely would recommend checking this place out.
Walked in on a Friday with no reservation and had to wait approximately 2 hours but it was so worth it. Crab Rangoon was absolutely crack. The crab pad Thai was amazing, it had this sweet and spicy vinaigrette chutney on top I was in love. We sat at the "bar" seating facing a window, which was annoying because the seats kept spinning. Otherwise service was great and prompt!
Amazing food! We ordered the smash burger, the wings, and the drunken noodles. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfect for sharing. I found the burger to be extremely unique for a smash burger - it was filled with peppers and onions, and had a lovely sweet, tangy, savory sauce. It wasn’t like any other smash burger I’ve tried in NYC. Definitely recommend coming as a group and trying a variety of dishes. The burger is only available for lunch 12-3!
Cool place, good food. The Crab Rangons 5/5 were delicious, melt in your mouth good The Chicken Khao Soi 3/5 was interesting, seemed to almost be good but something flavour profile wise was slightly off, also the chicken we added to the dish seemed grey and could be much higher quality meat very clearly. The Seared Ribeye Crudo 4.25/5 was expensive at $20, but had a nice flavour Overall a nice place, you can tell the other dishes: Drunken Noodles, Burger ( Lunch only ) would be better
Good place for Thai twisted food. We got Krapow burger and Thai tea. Burger was good, the spicy was kicked! But the Thai tea was quite fade for me. The restaurant was cute and cozy. They have few tables, inside looks so clean. They have cute merchs as well, like some shirts and tote bags. I want to go back and try their holy basil stir fried and crispy pork belly.
Great dinner here with friends. We had crab fried rice, papaya salad, tomato salad, short rid. All were really good. I really enjoyed the short rib. But I thought all were good. The papaya salad had good spice to it. My friends are more into Thai food than I am and they were very happy. Service was great. Very nice staff. The decor inside is much better than what the outside might make you think. If you found this helpful follow me. I don’t give many 5* because I reserve that for the very best in food, service and experience. I try to be quick to the most important stuff, the food. Then add notes about the rest. Enjoy!
4.5/5! Loved little grenjai! Definitely recommend this cute small little spot in the neighbourhood. Every dish was great… the chicken wings were perfect and the pad thai was delicious… not super sweet like most takeout places, proper tamarind base etc Standout was definitely the massaman shortribs! My lord, I could drink a glass of that gravy!! Service was AA+ with attentive and courteous waiters!! Only docked half a star because it was super crammed but also I do love an intimate feel…. The merch is also SUPER cute !!
Cute small spot dishing up good food. The heirloom tomato salad was a great summer special and perfect to share. Papaya salad was tasty and not too spicy. Highlight was the Khao Soi; nice and hearty. Prices are a little bit more than expected and we did feel a bit rushed at the end of the night.
⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3 out of 5 stars) We recently visited Little Grenjai, a modern Thai kitchen nestled in the heart of Bed-Stuy, after hearing a steady buzz of praise from locals. The space itself is beautifully designed—intimate, warm, and stylish without feeling forced. We were seated at the counter, where we enjoyed watching the chefs meticulously prepare each dish, which added a thoughtful, behind-the-scenes layer to the experience. We began with the drunken noodles, which arrived glossy and fragrant, packed with baby peppercorns and Thai chilies. While the flavors were bold and the heat unapologetic (as it should be), it may be a bit overpowering for diners with a lower spice tolerance. The Chinese broccoli with garlic was another visually appealing plate, but again, very spicy—so much so that it competed rather than complemented the rest of our meal. The highlight of the evening was hands down the braised short rib—expertly cooked, incredibly tender, and rich in flavor. It was the kind of dish you remember. To temper the heat from the earlier courses, we opted for a Thai iced tea, which was well-balanced and refreshing. Our total bill came to around $110 after tax and tip. While the portions were satisfying and the ingredients clearly fresh and well-sourced, the price point felt a little steep for the overall experience. We’d also recommend noting spice preferences when ordering, as it significantly impacted the balance of the meal. We’d give Little Grenjai a 3 out of 5 stars. There’s a lot of promise here—the short rib alone makes the visit worthwhile—but we’d return with a different game plan next time, trying a few other menu items and dialing the spice down just a touch.
I was excited to try this place because I’ve been following them online and waiting for them to open. The inside is cramped; I believe it’s a converted Chinese takeout spot and it can get uncomfortably crowded very fast. You have to order at the register and then they bring your food to you. I ordered the burger, which is what they’re known for, with a side of fries and my partner had the drunken noodles. I thought the burger was OK; I expected it to have a spicy kick and to be favorable but it was missing both of those things. I had them add the Thai fried egg on top, which was fine. The only interesting part of the meal was the fries. They make them like the Lay’s ruffled potato chips; they’re crispy around the edges but soft in the middle. Very cool. The prices here are OK.
