Fantastic spot to have a beer and relax. Servers were very attentive and friendly. We went mid afternoon on a Friday with 9 people and it wasn’t that busy. Grabbed a few pitchers and ordered food. The food was the best part of the entire experience. Absolutely amazing sausage and house made dipping sauces. If you are reading this review, you should definitely go here!!
We had our wedding reception at Radegast and the experience was amazing! Sean and his team are wonderful to work with, did not bat an eye at things like having handles of traditional Polish bison grass vodka on the tables. Sean recommended DJ Nique who was the absolute best, I have never seen my normally laidback and dancing-shy friends burn up the floor like that! Also, everyone told us afterwards how great the food and service was, they thought maybe we had catered from outside and we told them Radegast has an amazing full menu, and Chef was super accommodating when we requested to have pierogi and potstickers served together! Normally I would keep this a secret but I guess I am not having another wedding any time soon so for all you engaged folks out there, stop looking, this is your venue!
Redegast is my go-to spot in Brooklyn for music. The live bands are consistently great, and the DJs are just as fun. I’ve been on nights with a real Afro-punk vibe where the room is packed, the energy is high, and everyone is fully there for the music. You can feel that the bookings are curated with intention, and it shows. Shoutout to Feather Bowler for keeping the lineup so strong. Quick side note, the beef tartare is amazing 🤩
Place instantly transports you to Germany with a great vibe, huge beers, banging tunes, and a very large space to bring a group of any size to get after it. We held a 50+ person party in the area closest to the grill in the large room and the staff were absolutely excellent throughout the night. Can’t recommend enough.
This is a great place to hang out and have a meal with friends. You can try a variety of dishes and sausages — their sausages are excellent, and the beer is refreshing. The other food is also quite good. The only downside is that it’s more like a self-service restaurant, as there aren’t many waitstaff, and you have to go to a separate counter to order the sausages.
We hosted our son’s first birthday here in December and had a great experience! Sean and his team were incredible! The amount of compliments we got on the food, the drinks, and how good looking the staff is was insane!!!! I appreciated his availability, flexibility, communication and shared vision! It was important for us to feel that it wasn’t strictly a children’s party and getting compliments from adults that they both had fun was great! The space was perfect for our winter theme and the food was great! Sean was able to accommodate all dietary needs and make modifications and no one was left hungry. We were able to fit a massive balloon display, a play area for kids, an arts table and there was still plenty of room to sit and eat.
We were in Brooklyn for just 4 days and went here twice. First time we had already eaten but the food looked so good we went back. Great vibe and even more amazing staff. Great beers on tap. We have been to Belgium and have also had our fair share of German beers on tap but this place has ones we have never seen on tap at least in the US. The servers know their beer which was awesome. Also there were no kids and apparently there are days where they don’t allow kids. When we are drinking beer we appreciate this. Would highly recommend this place
Sean & the Radegast team, Thank you so much for an amazing night. You truly executed the vision and surpassed any expectations we had. All of my guests had compliments on the food, cocktails, and of course the huge selection of beer! The atmosphere was nothing like any other wedding guests had been to. It was intimate, fun, and romantic. 💗
Fun atmosphere for large groups of all ages! Fresh beer and lots of prosecco for aperol sprites! Bratwurst, sausages and pretzels were yummy!! Brass Monkeys were playing and kept the room lively.
Great architecture and design. I love that you can walk up to the grill and get sausage, they have a table full of mustards and horseradish. We saw a Lecture on Tap here. Very cool venue. I don’t drink but people were living their beer, giant pretzels and food.
This place was a lot of fun! My boyfriend and I went twice, once during the early afternoon during a week day and again on a Thursday night. It was a chill place for an afternoon beer and a vibrant bar/restaurant in the evening. The staff were extremely attentive and they have amazing beers on tap from all over the world.

Yeah most people in Williamsburg know about this place, but that doesn't make it any less great. I love the German Beer, food, and look of the place. Tried the steak tartare today, it was great.

A gregarious fun venue with plenty of tables & long benches both inside and outside for large groups, a few small tables & chairs for small groups. Good variety of authentic Bavarian German Biers & Grilled Wursts, sausages, in addition to other menu items. Get the Giant pretzel 🥨 with yummy beer cheese dip. 🥨 🍺 Darkly lit, Loud, Live Band 🎶🎸, Good times! Prost!! 🍻 🍻 🎊🇩🇪
We have been to Radegast hall with friends for the first time. Much European vibe. Among very few places you may find weissbier/unfiltered wheat beer, and almost felt as I was at a bier house in munich. Has indoor and outdoor seating. Good food, I recommend pretsel with bier chese and sausages, bier is more reasonable by pitcher. I chıse Fransiskaner white beer, one of my favorites. There was also live jazz music indoors, also audible from outdoor seatings. I recommend here
First time eating here. I love the covered outdoor dining hall area! Our waitstaff was new and it was rare that they stopped by the table to check on our needs. The grill staff was not readily available when one of us wanted to place an order. Food was good overall. The atmosphere is a winner. I would cone back and try again.
I had a good time here. On their brunch menu, I had a pretzel and lager beer. I enjoyed the pretzel, which came out hot with some sauces. The beer (lager and dark), of course was on point. I tried their kielbasa ( a type of sausage) on their grill menu ( you had to get up, order and pay separately, which I thought was inconvenient). But I enjoyed the smokiness and how juicy it was. It came with crispy fries and horseradish. The horseradish didn’t have the kick I was expecting, quick mild. We later came back to try the bone marrow, first time, and it was sublime. To be honest, I was unsure of the texture, but to my surprise it was smooth and creamy with a lot of juices. Great to spread on toast and top off with their relish. We sat outside and enjoyed our meals. The service was polite, friendly, efficient (because it can be very busy at dinner time) and they wore masks. The price was worth the experience and quality. Would come back!

Ideal place for a happy hour or day drink hangout spot. Beer selection is excellent. Although a little on the pricier end.
Excellent German beer options... solid food. Very young crowd on a Saturday but enjoyable/respectful people. Service was very helpful... prices average for Williamsburg.
Food was pretty good, currywurst was my favorite, but service was very lacking the night we went. Waitress disappeared and never took our food order, had to track down someone. Beer took really long to come out. They were playing very loud Latin music, which is an odd choice for a German beer hall. May have just been an off day
I love this place. I’ve been going every Saturday with friends for years. Food was always consistent and service is great. However this past Saturday I went and tried ordering from the grill. I noticed that the person working the grill used the same tongs for the RAW chicken to serve the sausages and other grill items on the menu. I was shocked and so grossed out because I watched him do it over and over while I was waiting in line. I finally exited the line and we didn’t order food. Other than that, drinks are great and wait staff is kind. Place gets packed real quick and ppl stand on the table tops you eat on to dance.
I went here when it opened. It was ok. One of the, then owners used to be a bartender at a polish disco/ bar straight out of 80s communist block. And then I would come by from time to time. Last time…

Big No, it was a bad experience, seeing the cook touching the food with his hands without gloves after touching money and credit cards was not nice.

Brought some friends from out of town here because they love beer and bratwurst. Friday night but found seats at the bar for us three which was awesome. Not a nod or a sign the older 5'5 bartender with the glasses even ACTED like he recognized us. We had to ask someone for a menu. Figured what we wanted. He took care of the couple to our right. Some girls came after us and he took care of them to our left. We waited over 10-15 mins for him to even acknowledge us and nothing. After the girls, he decided to take care of a guy who was next to them who JUST walked to the bar. We were ready to have a blast with the band, big beers and I felt like an idiot suggesting this place to my friends. We just got our coats and left. And I'm pretty sure he STILL didn't recognize we left. We're all chefs, bartenders and bar owners and were ready to spend and tip. Horrible experience.
We were really hopeful about about this place because the atmosphere looked great, but our experience was frustrating. When we went to order, the bartender was pretty rude. We asked for a pitcher, and he just snapped, “We’re not doing pitchers right now,” with no reason given. I tried ordering a non-alcoholic drink for my pregnant friend, and he said, “We’re only doing beer,” even though I could see ingredients for other drinks right behind him. Fine, we asked for simple light beers, but he just scoffed at us because we didn’t know the specific names. He poured them but made us feel unwelcome the whole time. Then, despite the place being open until 3 AM on Google, they started pushing people out early. Bouncers were nudging people to wrap up around 1 AM, and by 2 AM, everyone was being forced out, even though the closing time was supposed to be later. It’s one thing to close early, but they should update their hours if that’s how they operate. Overall, it was just rude service and misleading hours.
1 out of 5 stars The food was good, but that’s about the only positive thing I can say. The music was absurdly loud. Easily 100 decibels, hearing damage level loud. They had speakers blasting in every corner of the place even though the DJ booth wasn’t even in the main area. We asked four different times for them to turn it down. Four times. They didn’t accommodate any single time even though they said they would “check”. It was so loud I couldn’t even have a conversation with my friends. You could see everyone in the room was frustrated. People were leaving, the crowd thinned out to just a handful of people, and still they wouldn’t turn it down. They were blasting music for an audience that clearly wasn’t enjoying it. On top of that, the vibe was off. Lots of creepy older men trying to hit on younger women. Service was poor and they were completely unaccommodating. Not worth it. Save your ears and go somewhere else.
We drove 45 minutes as a group of 7 people to celebrate a farewell for a close friend, only to have the entire night ruined at the door. One person in our group was denied entry for not having a physical photo ID, even though this is New York, where digital alternatives and common sense should exist—especially for a restaurant setting. There was zero flexibility, no attempt to help, and no empathy for the situation. We explained that we had traveled far and that this was a special occasion for our group, but the staff didn’t care at all. The attitude was cold and dismissive, and it felt like we were treated as an inconvenience rather than paying customers. Thankfully, we ended up at a nice, warm brewery — shout out to Other Half Brewing — that actually understood the situation and let us in by simply showing a digital ID. That’s how hospitality should work.
