The Levee is a place you go to that will always make you feel better after spending some quality time there. If you show up sad you'll leave feeling okay, come there okay you'll leave feeling happy, come there happy you'll leave feeling great. It is a magic bar where the cheeseballs flow freely. The type of atmosphere draws friendly people to the point where its actually hard to have a bad time. Enjoy the magic bar.

At the LEVEE, I love the great deals on drinks and the selection of board games available, making it my favorite spot for a fun and wallet-friendly evening out.

Staff were excellent, varied beer selection and full of sausage dogs on our visit. Pool table was a nice touch. As was the Cheetos as a bar snack. Big fan.

How could you say no to a place with Pabst on tap and black sabbath on the jukebox. Cheese balls on the bar and a very eclectic clientele. If I lived in Brooklyn this joint would be one of my bars. The bartender was way cool. Couple harleys parked out front. The vibe was good, a must visit in Williamsburg.

Cool place, great prices, love the school lunch-esk menu (hot dogs, sloppy joe, bologna and cheese, PB&J- they have vegetarian options too!) there’s a bunch of board games, pool table, darts. Bartender was great. Had a good time.

This is a really great dive bar. It has cheap beer, a pool table and free cheeze balls. If you are not into heavy rock music it may not be to you liking.

Great spot to hang out with friends. They have a pool table, darts, Jenga, etc. Beer specials all night and can get a long star + shot for $6, which is hard to beat in the area.

My girl asked for green tea shots to which the bartender responded with an honest "We don't do those. Tequila, whiskey, vodka, or rum?" Perfect spot.

Any place that has cheeseballs to snack on automatically wins. Bartender was super friendly and played goods tunes. Definitely recommend for super casual beers.

If you know, you know, when it comes to those dark liquors. Has a pool table. Always a must if there is a table. The vibe the table brings as well and darts and buck hunter, is a great completive vibe. The bartenders are the coolest around without being jerks to customers.

I love the Levee. The crowd is generally cool and chill. Drink specials are solid (can of lager plus a shot for $6 is hard to beat) and who doesn't love free cheese balls? Maureen always takes great care of us and the rest is the staff are good to us as well.

Fantastic place! Nice and fun bartenders, great vibe, great prices, and good selection. They were so sweet, when they ran out of hotdog buns I said I was totally fine with a hamburger bun but one of the workers ran to a bodega to get more. Fun vibe, can’t wait to go back.

Legit dive bar but not dive prices. PBR are $5. Weekdays dollar off beer and drinks. Small snacks available. Nice size space with a pool table and booths. Lots of standing area. Dig the art and vibes. Will be back.

Love this spot, they always hook it up as long as you take care of your bartender. The cheese balls are nice to have while you drink. I always have a great time whenever I come here, no more backyard but it’s still a hit whenever I am in the area and want to drink.

Good music, 1 billiard table, interesting people. Weekends are best to swing by, bar staff super friendly, parking can be a hit or miss, but definitely a place to stop any day they are open. They do have a step and half to step into the bar but if you need assistance, someone is around to help. Super friendly naborhood

Actually seems like a good space setting, especially that it has two whole rooms and was so busy, if anything they should hire more bartenders, got food bit late since they are the only one serving food too. Prices are very affordable. They have outside settings too so yeah. Small entrance

The Levee let me surprise my fiancé with a surprise party after our engagement with 50+ guests in attendance free of a rental charge while they were open to the public. What an amazing experience loved it so much what an amazing end to our trip in New York , going back to Ireland, the waitresses where do friendly and quick to serve us and the music was perfectly nostalgic. Amazing vibe and would highly recommend to anyone unless of course you'd want to just eat your dinner in peace and quiet because this place is jumping (Which we loved). Also we heard Don McLean used to love this bar so that actually pushes it closer to a 6 star🤣. (Drove my Chevy to the LEVEE🤣) HIGHLY recommend and well done to the owner for creating an amazing atmosphere and vibe to the place well well done. Seriously best bar I have ever been to

So good we went there twice during our short NYC trip. Great selection of beers, quite cheap too. Tortilla with queso is heaven. They also give complimentary cheese puffs. Music is great and vibe is cool too. Our bartenders were always kind and friendly. They also have a pool table out in the back, as well as an arcade game (this one is pretty bad tho). Great place for a few beers and chatting with friends. I would definitely go back if I ever find myself in Williamsburg again!

I've been here many times but never reviewed it. This is a wonderful bar in Williamsburg. The prices are very good. It is a clean bar. It is a big space. They have a Pool Table and free Twizzlers and Cheese Puffs. They have a few snack items for sale. I don't know how they are because I've never ate them. The atmosphere is laid back. The bartender yesterday was Justin who is very welcoming and friendly. All the bartenders I've met here are very nice. The music playing is Rock or Punk Rock but it's not loud. They also have a Jukebox. Neighborhood people come here but they are very welcoming to outsiders also. I highly recommend this bar.

A wonderfully reliable dive bar to get your cheap drink fix on! Relative unknown brews are scribbled on the wall. If you're drinking, be sure to snack on some complimentary cheesy poofs! They'll gladly pour you a bowl. Can't beat $4 for a shot and beer. YMMV

Dive bar digs and hospitable Texas attitude. Relaxed vibe good for grabbing drinks with friends, cool music and a pool table in the back. People were friendly and didn’t have to wait long for a drink. A few bar food items like hot dogs and frito pie if you’re starving although I would stick to their pretty decent beer menu.

Deceptively larger hole-in-the-wall type place with a pool table, free cheese puffs (they call them cheese balls), and kinda strange cheap cocktails (gatorade margarita?!). Helpful, friendly bartenders. They even brought out a water dish for our dogs that we brought in while it was slow in the afternoon. Some of the other patrons were completely hammered even at around 1pm on a weekday. That could be a good thing or a bad thing but in this case they were kind of inappropriate and annoying. No one wants to listen to someone else's terrible jokes about genitalia for an hour.

Sneaky hole in the wall bar. Pool table and a small seating area outdoors is pretty neat. Kinda smallish all around actually, but free cheese balls at the bar is pretty sweet.

Three words: free cheese balls. That's all I really have to say to get you here. But in case you need more, I'll go ahead. The outside is great, especially in the summer. Benches, tables, and a big connect for game all make it great for groups. The music inside can get loud, but it's part of the scene. Inside, there's a pool table and big booths for you and your friends. Lots of great beer on-tap and bartenders that know about what they're serving. You can't go wrong with a visit to the levee.

It's less hipster than most bars in the area and more welcoming for the rest of the world that doesn't live in the Willyburg bubble. Cheese puffs to snack on are like crack. Will get PACKED on weekends.

This is a great bar to start or end your night. They give you unlimited cheese-puffs. Just be careful because you might end up having sticky orange fingers. This is a neighborhood bar that brings in a crowd. You can get very cheap drinks. I'd recommend trying the dreamscile. Such a simple but yet delicious drink.

If you are looking for a place to have a nice cold beer, play some darts while you have some good music in the background then this is the place! The best part is you get a bowl of cheese balls as well! I would go back!!! And I would recommend it others.

A local dive with anti-socially loud music. Really, really, really loud music coming from someone's portable device patched into really, really, really loud speakers. It's a cool bar but the music is really annoying. Free cheesy puffs are good.

Not a bad bar. If you're up for something out of your usual come here. There's honky tonk music on Sunday nights. It's a nice friendly crowd.

Not the worst spot but definitely not the best spot. Great for cheap beer and stiff drinks but not the most welcoming crowd of people. Could be fun with the right group of friends or if you know a local or two that frequents it. I have tried this spot both completely sober and completely not-sober and quickly found myself leaving for another spot relatively quickly.

Good dive bar, nice rock music BUT the bartender I had to deal with was probably the most obnoxious person I've ever met. I cannot even describe him, all the bartenders looked alike (bearded with curly hair). First and only time I didn't tip during my whole trip in the US

Awesome local dive-bar. Two words: Cheeseballs, Boardgames. If your mind isn't made up already, it should be. A few other key, convincing words and phrases: Moustaches, flannel, beards, dark (so you don't need to worry about that zit) and cheap.

I've definitely had good times here, but you're better off spending your night elsewhere. The bathroom lines are outrageous, and the place is just kinda gross. And there's usually the typical bros hogging the pool tables. But props to the arcade games and free snacks.

Service is great, the patron demographic is yuppie tourist 20something. I could just be bitter from the days when it was a rock bar. Or the way back days when you could smoke in bars and the pool table was surrounded by rottweilers. Le sigh

The door man was drunk and so rude with us, he literally yell at us asking to go when the last call but we were just finished our drink, bad service, the bartenders could do more than say “bro, relax”

Just came from Sweetwater yesterday where the bartender warned me one of the beer lines was off and the other one flat. So I figure I was really in the mood for an IPA and headed to Levee to meet a friend. As I waited for my friend I waited a while for someone to check my vax which no one ever did so I went to the back room near the pool table. Waited for the bartender for a while and when he finally came i told him I was in the mood for an IPA and what he recommended. He gave me a look and cold shoulder and said read the boards and let him know when I figure it out and walked away so he could jump on his phone. I rather drink at a nice place built inside the shell of an actual dive bar rather than a concept dive bar. Sorry Levee not coming back. I'm too old for that kind of service.

The doorman was so drunk he knocked us out as animals and yelling at 3:30. Please don’t come to this place. You’re going to have a bad time. Never coming back again.

1ST TIME & ONLY TIME EVER GOING !. RACIST STAFF!!! I was with my group of 6 Hispanic people ..all who received little but no respect as a customer by the bar tender ..we would tell him what we wanted & he would proceed to take another person person's order who had just arrived disreguarding that we were already waiting for 10mins ..when we paid our tabs the bartender threw the money at us instead of treating us like people ..when we reported this to the manager the bar tender began to say stuff like "well I'm disabled I got one leg" ...in my opinion this doesn't justify the way he treated us opposed to the other white people in the establishment. And the manager didn't do anything to make us feel welcomed she instead said "if you don't like it ,leave !" Allowing her employee to get away with how he treated us... DON'T GO HERE IF YOU ARE ANY OTHER CULTURE CAUSE ITS FULL OF RACIST PEOPLE 💯 ...WORST EXPERIENCE EVER & THERE FOOD WAS UNDERCOOKED GIVING ME STOMACH ISSUES 😫.

Absolutely terrible people here. Surrounded by a group of guys and threatened when my girlfriend and I tried to play darts after getting the darts from the bartender. Would seriously advise staying clear of this place unless you are in the mood to fight. Too many low quality people to chill here.

the bartender was racist towards us and didnt take our order. When we asked for guiness he said “maybe” and never showed back up.

They bartenders favor some clients and allow them to hog the pool table. I waited and soon as they ended they restarted the game. Made a complaint to the bartender with blonde hair and he proceeded to do nothing about it. It wasn’t cool nor okay. The bartenders preferred to talk and flirt with clients then do their jobs. I waited 20 mins to order a simple tequila pineapple.

Very disappointing that there was some pool hogs and nothing was done about it. The blonde bartender was more busy, talking to his friends and taking care of the bar. Live in the neighborhood very disappointed never coming back. The bartender should have gone to the group and explained that the table is for all guest.

Very rude bartender. He was verbally aggressive when we asked simple questions, overcharged us on drinks, and insulted us when we didn’t tip. My friend recorded because he was being hostile and she felt threatened, and he ended up kicking us out. Overall, a terrible experience.

Had a very upsetting and violating experience here. A couple of girls and I came in and after getting our IDs checked, another man standing next to the bouncer proceeds to "pat down" one of us under the pretense that this was another security check. We come to find out he's actually a customer who has groped other girls using the same method in the past - all while the actual staff is right there. No apology, solution, or even effort to kick the man out was made by the staff. Wouldn't recommend coming here. It's an establishment that makes its patrons feel unsafe, is complicit, and enables harassment.
