Sutter's Funnel Cake is known for its funnel cakes and friendly staff, especially Amanda. The buffalo chicken sandwich and pastrami sandwich are also popular. However, long wait times, especially during peak hours, and inconsistent food quality are common complaints.

Tip: Visit during off-peak hours to avoid long lines, or be prepared for a wait. Consider the seasonal Peanut Butter and Jelly Cheeseburger if available.

Lines are usually long here. The reason why is because the food is pretty good. Definitely! I've been here multiple times. Doesn't hurt that the food pass is accepted here 😜
Loved the funnel cake with boysenberry, ice cream and gummies. If you don't want to get too messy skip the powdered sugar. Be aware there is a separate line to order funnel cakes.
Oh k, it is an amusement park. However, the food at this spot, it's great. We had the barbecue Burger with fresh french fries and it was very good.
Fun place at knotts, loaded funnel cake is wonderful. I reccomend asking for extra plate, its difficult to eat as is. If they would cut in pieces before giving to you it would help as well. The boysenberry topping is mmmmmmmmmmm!
Very friendly staff. I inquired about all day dining the were very informative and kind. I purchased the Premium all day dining pass $46.32. Includes food every 90 minutes and drinks every 15 minutes.
My Wester BBQ Bacon Burger was appetizing. Nice spot right next to some picking tables where you can sit and take a break and enjoying some lunch. This restaurant is part of Knott’s Berry Farm’s “Dining Plan”. Enjoy!
Gluten free buns served hot and soft. Quite tasty. Would recommend the cheeseburger basket for anti-glutes like me.
Healthy portions we've had the flank steak sandwich which was ok the bread would've been nicer heated and also the chicken and ribs are probably the best option there over all so far I've only had good experiences
We got the Boysenberry funnel cake with ice cream... it did not disappoint. It's $15 but big enough for at least 2 or 3 to share. Lines are usually long on a weekend but worth the wait. Use your season pass for 10% off.
Came to Knott's for the Peanut Celebration. I got one of the seasonal menu items, the Peanut Butter and Jelly Cheeseburger available only at Sutter's. IMHO it's the best thing on the menu. Served with a side of french fries. I wish they would have it all year, but it's only at Knott's during the Peanut Celebration. Honestly most of the time the burgers at Knott's are overcooked and dry, but this one is great. I highly recommend it.
The pastrami sandwich was fantastic! The chicken tender plate comes with TONS of fries. Two entrees fed our family of 4. We had a great cashier who went out of his way to get us ice and water for our water bottles. Would definitely come back.
My go to place for funnel cake. Best funnel cake - Fully loaded with boysenberry topping and ice-cream
Not greasy, delicious fluffy-ness of funnel cake goodness.
Quick service and outstanding funnel cake!!

My kids love to eat here they enjoy the chicken strips, that’s all they eat and they are happy so I can’t complain. Fries are good. Condiments are in those huge dispenses so that great too.
First time ordering from here. They have just a few choices - chicken fingers, burger and cheeseburger, and a buffalo chicken burger. Then they have fries, drinks, and I also noticed grab & go cookies. Fortunately, the line was pretty short - and we were helped by Amanda who was very friendly and greeted us with a smile! We couldn't decide on which burger to get so she made a suggestion of her favorite burger - her description made it sound really good so we went with it. Also, I liked that she suggested a beverage of boysenberry punch and lemonade - kind of a Knott's Arnold Palmer - and let me tell ya - it's real tasty!! We did have to wait a few minutes for our burger, but the wait wasn't too bad (*I noticed some other reviews complained of the wait time) - but personally, I'd rather wait a little bit for my food to be freshly made, rather than getting something that was pre-made and sitting under a heat lamp. But if there were more people in line to order, I could see how the wait time could add up. But we had a great experience which I really appreciated!
Small takeaway inside Knotts with a small menu, but they have gluten-free buns and seem to really care about any food allergies when mentioned. I ordered the BBQ burger, and our server was fantastic to inform me that it comes with fried jalapeño rings (which are not gluten-free), the burger was delicious.
Staff was super friendly and let us use my season pass discount for my friends who had only bought day passes. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich and was pleasantly surprised. A lot of food with the amount of fries you get! They also replaced my top bun after it flew off in a gust of wind while I was walking to a table. Excellent stop in Knott's Berry Farm!

The bbq burger is well worth the money, the fries are good and crunchy, the staff was friendly, the down side it took half hour to get our meal. This restaurant is well worth the money plus there's 4 options only
We wanted to get funnel cakes but the windows weren't open yet. You had to stand in a long line to even find out it would be hours before you could buy any. We settled for chicken strips, fries & souvenir cups. It would have been nice to see a sign stating funnel cakes open at 3 pm or whatever time.
Food here is decent, and quite low calorie if you cut out fries. Prices are high, but quite reasonable if you have the Meal Pass. Can personally recommend the Western BBQ Cheeseburger, leaving out the fries puts it at only 500 calories, and it is delectable!
Food was good. I'll probably come back here to try additional menu items
Knott's food venues are not very fast but the food is a good value especially with a dining plan. The seasonal Chicken Parmesan Grilled Cheese Sandwich is great.
Sutter's sales hamburger, chicken tenders, and a spicy chicken sandwich that my son loves. Oh, the fries a very good (I'm not really a French fry person but I like theirs).
Very long line. Waited for about an hour to get food but that's normal for amusement parks I guess. Food was good though. Ate a funnel cake while waiting in line.. superb!!
The BBQ burger was good and lots of fries. Took a while to order and get food. Churro place near here was good to refill day cup for free.
The line moved very slowly, but with only two workers running everything that was understandable. The cheeseburger had good taste and was a reasonably thick patty and the fries were fairly typical.
Only got the chicken strips. But the breading was too thick. I guess if you like a lot of crunch, but that crunch doesn't add chicken to my belly. No special sauces, just ranch/ketchup/mustard. Nothing special.

The line was long, and they only had one server for the longest time. Two other servers finally opened up their windows and the line finally started moving, but we were in line for one hour on Tuesday. We went back on Thursday and line was doubled the length and only one window was opened again. They need to have enough servers, especially during busy times like Spring Break. Food is good. Three stars is because the slow service.
We like Sutters The pastrami was delicious. This didn't happen to ours this time. But: Not sure why they cook stuff ahead of time then let it sit under the warmers. I want mine cooked to order.
Friendly staff and solid fairground food options. The boysenberry juice was a favorite. The line moves pretty fast, though the menu is hard to see from more than a few feet away. The picnic seating was nice, but it did seem like parents with strollers had trouble getting to the innermost tables because the spacing was pretty tight. Lots of people were willing to help out with swapping tables, etc.
I'm sorry, but for the cost to attend the park, the parking etc....... My burger 🍔 was really dry and it tasted like sawdust. We as customers need to stop accepting the poor quality food at the very pricey attractions. It's a business and they need to step up BIG TIME in order to justify the ratings of a regular, badass burger and fries.
No where to sit on the weekends!! Waited 45 mins for some frozen pizza. It’s was good cause I was starving.

The sandwich tasted good, but the chicken patty on it was very thin; definitely not hearty. The fries were hot and crisp at least. The carrot slaw that came with it was ok. They only had two working so it took about 45 minutes to get through the line.
The food is good but we rarely eat here because they are so slow. There was only one family in line so we took the opportunity to eat here again. They have a pretty good burger and fries. There is ample seating next to the bottle house.

Waited longer for burger than ride. At one point, they stopped selling food, because they were so backed up. Burger was over cooked, but the fries were good.
Their kitchen is super slow and the food is pretty much mediocre... most of the time the fries are cold or luke warm (not freshly made). The chicken tender is covered with 50% of dredge and tiny chicken inside
If you like hamburgers READ this review. The other reviews are either fake or totally hyped up. The beef quality is below any fastfood chain but yet people are claiming that it's good so let me put more context into the flavor and cooking. The quality and flavor of the beef patties are so similar if not exactly to the cheapest hamburger patties as the Walmart in the orange box with unknown fillers. The service was good at the counter but the execution of the cooking was a complete failure with french fries colder than the ambient temperature. Don't come expecting a hamburger here to be as good as Burger King or McDonald's as it's the cheapest commercial hamburger they could find. Eat elsewhere if you want a real hamburger or try one of their sit down restaurants.

Just recently went bc it’s the new year and I’ve got a season pass. Despite it being the first week of the new year the lines were abysmal for food. It took about 1 hour 50 mins to get three plates of the chicken tenders at 12:50pm. There were so many kids screaming and yelling near me when I finally found a table for my family. I wanted to look for other tables but most were to close to other big parties of park goers and were grimy and dirty with pieces food. I’ve been to knotts for years and Sutter usually has the best seasoned fries and gives pretty big sized chicken tenders. That was not my experience for the past two visits; my first visit of this year and my last visit of last year. The fries were cold and bland, no seasoning salt whatsoever. It just made me give most of my fries to my younger siblings who eat anything. The fries took of up less than half the plate when you actually put the fries in a pile instead of having them spread out flat (how they present the fries makes it seem like it’s a full plate of fries). Then the chicken tenders… most of them are shorter/smaller than the fork they give you. They give you 4 of these chicken pieces. If you have kids or are going with family or friends and are looking to share plates bc of how expensive the food is, you’re gonna have to pick something other than tenders or get food before hand bc the portions are getting sad at this point.

I ordered my food and asked the gentlemen for fries without salt. The fries came out without salt but they put so much salt on my burger that I went to bed with that salty feeling in my mouth like I just ate sunflower seeds for hours and woke up with my mouth burning and dry. Thank you for not putting salt on my fries. I was nice when I asked for my fries without salt and it shouldn't be uncommon since people have diet restrictions. Either they sabotaged my burger because I asked for fries without salt or they just put way to much salt on all their food. Either way we will not be going back.
The food was mediocre at best. But the ridiculous thing was to see them heating chicken tenders and burgers to order one at a time with a line of over a hundred people waiting and the salamander heater empty. The cooks couldn't figure out how to make more than one portion of chicken tenders at a time or make more than one burger patty at a time.
I had powered sugar and strawberries 🍓on my funnel cake. It had two spoons of fruit and it tasted outdated. A waist of money. They sale bottled water with sulfur in it. I'm allergic to sulfur & all sulfates. It was horrible. I had to drink tap water. I don't drink tap at home. The ice tastes clean the water had a fun taste. So, $5 for water that will half kill me with spoiling preserved fruit. Calling it family fun. Family ER time during Covid is more like it. Gross🤢
The lines are obscene there are far better dining opportunities further inside Knott's Berry Farm. Most people, for whatever reason, stop to eat here, more than likely because it's the first place they see when ending the park.
This is the slowest “quick service” place I’ve ever experienced. Half hour wait for chicken tenders, at least. No one behind the counter moves with any sense of urgency. Maybe send someone over to Disney to figure out how to operate this type of food service venue.
The Caprese Sandwich was disgusting and I found a bulb looking thing in my burger, fries were too over seasoned but the fact that grilled breast chicken was nasty and 18.99 for that tasteless thing, nah never again, I'll stick with pizza next time. We also got refills on our drinks on a 100° whether and this guy gives us our drinks with no ice, putting ice in drinks is common sense especially with hot weather 🙄🙄
I had been feeling lightheaded and was getting really hungry. All I'd had to eat since we arrived was french fries. It was around 4pm and before I got in line, I skimmed the menu, didn't see options that fit my dietary needs so I asked a cashier as I had been told earlier in the day that restaurant was a good choice. The cashier confirmed that they had gluten free hamburger buns and veggie patties. So we got in line. After a short 5-10min wait I ordered chicken strips and fries for my kid and a gluten free veggie burger for myself. 5, 10, 15, 25mins go by with me standing there feeling sicker and sicker by the minute. My kids food sat in the window for nearly 10mins before it was handed to us and they went and sat by themselves to eat while I continued to wait, only to be told that they'll refund me for my meal as they actually did not have any veggie burgers. I couldn't believe it took them that long to realize they didn't have something for me. So they gave me fries and that was my 2nd meal of the day, more fries, for my first visit to Knotts Berry Farm in 6yrs since becoming a vegetarian. Not vegetarian friendly 👎🏽 My kid ended up eating the fries they gave me as the ones with the chicken strips were cold and hard from sitting under the heat lamp for too long. They also only dumped seasoning right on top of the fries, so it was super salty on top and I went for the unseasoned fries on the bottom. Just overall disappointed.
Stood for half an hour in the line for the seasonal funnel cake only to be told that they don't have the caramel sauce for it. I realize that stuff runs out, but you could've at least put a sign or let people know beforehand. Do better
I was disappointed to see the BBQ burger removed from the meal pass menu at Sutter’s. This was the only thing I ate here. I do not recommend anymore.
