I placed a to-go order over the phone and parked in one of the designated to-go parking spots. All three slots were full when I arrived, but Adelaide came out and quickly took care of all of us. She managed to get everyone paid and handed out our food in less than 10 minutes. I’ve always found your to-go service to be quick and efficient, but today’s experience was exceptional! I want to give a shout-out to Adelaide for doing a fantastic job taking care of all of us.

My first visit here from out of town. I thought Babe's was kind of odd to begin with. They serve generous portions on the chicken and fish, and the vegetables are never ending. I started eating before I took a pic, sorry, not sorry. lol They have the best green beans I have ever tasted. The mashed potatoes and country gravy are good too. For my meat, I had the fried catfish. I was served three generous sized pieces of catfish. Not fried too hard, just right. I procured a piece of chicken from my sister, which was tender inside and crispy outside. If I ever get back to Dallas, Babe's will be one of my first stops.

Would highly recommend! Food was great and service was excellent. We had a large group of 22, and even though they don’t take reservations, they put us in the “library”, which we had to ourself. This was the day before our mom’s memorial service with just immediate family, so it was wonderful to have this time and space to be free to visit, cry, share memories and laugh. The waitress was so kind and attentive, and she never complained about us moving around and visiting with each other. I wish I would have caught her name, but we were there 10/11 at 5 pm. Thank you so much!

Simply my favorite place to eat when a guest comes to town or we are celebrating with family. The Storybook design transports you into feeling like you’re eating in an adventure land. The service is always A+ with friendly demeanor, recommendations, and quick help. Our server (Tristan?) was excellent making sure we had everything we needed, refills, and plenty of food! We ordered, chicken tenders, roasted chicken and a kids chicken fried steak. We were delighted to hear the hostess Giana sing and had a great time with our family who left full and had fun!

What a fun restaurant. Our server Jessica was fantastic. She was very informative and had a great disposition. The decor is quite charming. The food was done well. There is Nothing like dining down on the farm. We had fried chicken, corn, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and salad. The biscuits were like grandma's with butter and honey. The star for me was the cherry 🍒 cobbler made in house. Probably the best I have ever had. Will definitely be a repeat for us.

Awesome! All the meals and sides were nicely packaged and ready for our party on 10/26. Every thing was delicious and everyone went back for seconds! Thank you for having the food well packaged.

This is a nice family style restaurant. The atmosphere is nice, the lighting is a little dim. The seating is okay if you don't mind another family seated at the end of your table if crowded. The food is really good. I always get the fried chicken or tenders. When they bring the chicken out, it's always piping hot. Take a bite and you find yourself playing food aerobics in your mouth so you're tongue doesn't burn from the meat. I think the fried chicken is the best. It's seasoned to perfection and crispy. The sides are okay. You get unlimited green beans, corn and mashed potatoes. I love the biscuits, there so fluffy. I like to mix my butter and syrup together and dip my biscuit in it. This place doesn't serve alcohol. The only thing I kinda don't like is if your with a group of people and yall order the same meat, it comes out on one big plate. The sides are in one bowl you have to pass around. Now passing around the sides is no big deal but I don't like my meat mixed with everybody else's meat. Like I said it's a big family style vibe. Cool place. Best chicken.

1st time , we had the chicken & fried catfish.The chicken was great, 1/2 chicken fried to perfection. The catfish, 3 pieces perfectly fried. The sides: Enjoyed the lettuce with a sweet vinegar dressing. Mashed potatoes(very good) the gravy had great taste. The corn WAY to sweet & the green beans were gross, tasted like there was turnip greens in them, but it ended up being burnt bacon grease in them🤮 2nd visit Catfish still great The chicken fried steak is a joke 19.99 for a piece of mystery meat so thin & about 6 inchs around, not sure what I ate. Biscuits are very good!!! Stay with the chicken & catfish for great food

Quiet, this was the first time going to this restaurant chain. It was pleasant and different from any other chicken joint. The green beans were kinda over cooked, the salad was a sweet vinaigrette. Not really to my taste, but everything else was good.

Tried Babe’s for the first time and it was pretty good. The girl at the register was really nice and explained the menu to us. The price for all the food wasn’t bad, since it came up to a little under $25. I got the chicken tenders meal which came with plenty of sides. The chicken tenders were pretty good, but I wasn’t a fan of the sauce it came with since it had a weird aftertaste, so I just dipped it in some ranch. The biscuits were basic and I dipped it in the gravy. The gravy itself was ok. Not really flavored much. The sides were pretty good. The mashed potatoes tasted like the boxed kind that you add water to and it was actually a little watery tasting. The green beans, well, I wasn’t a fan of it, so I gave that to my boyfriend. The salad was just chopped up lettuce and the dressing it came with tasted like straight up oil, wasn’t a fan. I did enjoy the corn which had a good, sweet flavor. So if I were to order that again, I’d swap the green beans for more corn. I also ordered Banana pudding, which is my favorite, and it was really yummy. Overall, a decent first time meal from Babes. And for the price, I might go back and try the other meals.

People in my town might come after me for this, but let's just say this place isn't my cup of tea. I'd rather dine at CB 😋. My father-in-law and husband loved it, but the kids and I? Not so much. Here's the rundown: the corn tasted like it took a detour through the freezer, the mashed potatoes tasted as if straight out of a box, and the biscuits were Pillsbury's cousins (Not bad). The "salad" was just lettuce with a lemony splash, the smoked chicken tasted like it bathed in liquid smoke, but hey, the chicken tenders were good! Hubby and Pops enjoyed their Chicken Fried steak, and the banana pudding was just okay. The service was great!!! We got seated quickly on a Friday night, and the atmosphere was lively with servers doing the hokie pokie. But honestly, the food tasted like it came from a local fast food joint 🐔. Maybe my expectations were too high because of all the hype about Babes. Will I be back? Not anytime soon. Well, maybe to join in on the fun 😁.

Showed up at 2, said they were getting my order ready. Checked in around 2:15, nothing . Confirmed with the worker there I was waiting at curbside 3 and they said they would bring it out when ready. Saw ppl getting their orders after they pulled up after me. I went back in at 3 as I saw the lady who I was speaking with leaving and it turns out my order had been ready since 2:30 and nobody had walked it out to my car. I asked about it and I got the most nonsensical response of a shift change happening. Neat, but my order was ready 30min ago. Anyways service wasn’t great and food was room temp by the time I got home.

I’ll start with the positives: My waitress was super great very sweet very talkative- I also overheard another waitress talking to her tables as well so customer service is great The salad and biscuits are amazingly good however it ends there unfortunately today… I’m sitting here for lunch it’s 12:34 and my food just flat out isn’t good. My chicken was like rubber and I could not chew it. The flavor was great but could not chew the actual meat.. and the sides just weren’t fresh looking.. they weren’t bad but if I want just ok I’ll go to kfc.. Now I’ve been to this same location a few weeks ago and had the catfish and hands down 5 stars but this isn’t babe’s catfish it’s babes chicken and today your chicken was a bust… hope next time in I have a better experience with the actual chicken. Also I honestly can not see in the restaurant.. it’s wayyyy too dark in there it makes no sense to me why you guys have all the lights off or on low… just my personal opinion but I can get past that as long as my foods good. Also I was by myself today table of 1 if that matters

DISAPPOINTING! We've had Babes from the Cedar Hill location and it was always delicious in the past. This was horrible. The green beans were burned and tasted so terrible that the last bite ruined my appetite. The corn was awful, old and floating in sugar water. The chicken fried steak was tough meat and a bad cut from the cow. The catfish was overcooked, odd and flavorless almost like a cheap white fish. We ordered curbside since we are from out of town. I was not offered any napkins, plastic ware or condiments. So we ate with our hands and shared the food on a table like Neanderthals. We don't order curbside much so I didn't think to ask for those items to eat with. The only items that we thought were absolutely delicious were the biscuits and salad dressing. Mashed potatoes and gravy were good but not fantastic. I guess we ordered on the wrong night. This dinner was not worth the money spent. I've harvested and butchered my own meat, dressed my own fish and cooked up both chicken fried steak and fried catfish to feed an army of men. This left us hungry and wanting something different to clear our pallets. We ate some of the food because we were hungry but the rest is in the garbage.
