This place is huge. Lots of indoor seating and also a really nice outdoor patio. Live music on weekends. Exceptional food and really friendly staff. Definitely a new local favorite. 😁
This is such a cool spot. The attention to detail is extraordinary. The cocktails are stiff, the service is very friendly. I had the street tacos and they were the best I’ve had outside of Austin. It took us a minute to figure out how to get inside, a bit odd but maybe because it was a slow afternoon, or everyone but me has already discovered the path..so glad we figured it out! Two of my grandchildren were with me, they got the Mac and cheese (it was fine) but be warned, it has bell peppers and my two pickey eaters were APPALLED. But it comes with a side of fries that got an APlus all around. The bill was what passes for very reasonable these days. The three of us ate for under 40$. We just missed lunch so ordered off the dinner menu. The menu is a lot! An amazing assortment of Tex-mex and American.
The food here was absolutely delicious. We split the Birria Tacos and the loaded jumper cable fries - chicken and bacon ranch flavor. Our waitress was super helpful and answered all of our questions and made good recommendations. She was also the manager of the bar but since we were here for lunch we didn't get to sample any of the drinks. We will definitely be back for more because there were several more items on the menu we didn't get to try! We have driven by this place several times and wanted to try it but it always looked like it was closed. There's not a lot of signage saying that they're open so you have to be persistent. The door to get in is not very clearly marked but we found it and are glad we did.
It's a little out of the way, but so worth it. We went on a Friday, so they had their fry-day specials for appetizers, and they did not skimp on the cheese sauce for the loaded fries! I got the Biohazard tacos and was stuffed before I finished my 2nd of 3. I chose the mini lug nuts (elote) for my side, and I loved every bit of all of it. My wife got the chimichanga and loved it. Overall, the food was excellent and the service was great. We will absolutely return!
This is the second time I've been to Torque. The restaurant is family owned and I love that. I enjoy supporting local family businesses. Food: The head chef is a Culinary Institute of America graduate and it shows. Food is the passion and the food is amazing. I have already tried several of their dishes, but tonight we had the Rice Burner "tacos" and the Lift Kit nachos (both pictured). The Rice Burner was delicious with an amazing teriyaki sauce and the wonton shell was near perfect. The side of Elote was flavorful and really could be a meal on it's own. The Nachos was large in size and can feed two people with a great balance of chip to toppings, all of which were delicious. If you like chips and salsa (which I do), the regular salsa is superbly flavored and if you like a real kick, try the Habanero sauce (liquid fire but with flavor!). Drinks are good and the margaritas are made with fresh squeezed lime. We tried the Mango, Paloma (super yummy), and the Antifreeze (house margarita), all are pictured. Their steaks (not pictured) are perfect mediums and the Carnitas (not pictured) both of which melt in your mouth. I will be back more often to work through the menu because the workers are nice and friendly, the business is local, and the food is good. 5/5.
Wow. Burger- amazing. Onion rings- amazing. Drinks- amazing. Husband said chimichanga- amazing. I want to give 4 stars for the weird ordering system using the QR code, but I don't care. Everything was too amazing. I was a server before and this QR code makes horrible customers not be able to yell at waitresses for wrong orders. A slight technology inconvenience, but hey, it's worth it.
The Stack Attack Burger with double meat, bacon, cheese, and fried egg was delicious! By the way, it’s HUGE. BEST burger I’ve ever had! The two of us ate only one half of it and we were full! Good onion rings. Great corn (Lug Nuts). Very large portions. We have leftovers for more than one more meal. We will definitely return.
Wasn’t expecting how unique this place was, randomly picked it for lunch on a Sunday afternoon and was blown away. The food was delicious, the decor made me feel like I was at the drag strip again and the service was super friendly. The menu has a lot but don’t let that scare you because the food is delicious. The Drinks are fairly priced and juke box was fun. Bathroom are super clean and plenty of parking. Tip: THE RESTAURANT IS THE BUILDING ON THE LEFT WHEN YOU ENTER LOL, THE RIGHT ONE IS THE RENTAL BUILDING. Will continue to come here because how different this place is and how at home at feel because of the car theme. Birria tacos rival the ones I had back home in NYC and the Pozole was on Point.
Really had a great experience and was pleasantly surprised by seeing vegan beef and cheese on the menu to select with their menu items. I enjoyed the flavor and great presentation of their food dishes. Reasonably priced dishes and friendly servers. I really appreciate that you can pay your bill with your phone camera by scanning their receipt. July 2,3023, went back with friends and was pleasantly surprised by their new menu. More vegan options available and so delicious and nicely presented. The Vegan sandwich was so appetizing along with the charro beans and very tasty dip. My wife ordered the vegan nachos which were loaded with food and flavor. Thank you Ernesto for another great meal!
We stopped in on a rainy day, so it wasn't packed, but this place looks like it could be fun. The food was delicious. There is plenty of room between tables. The tables and chairs are cool but not made to hang out all night. They hurt after a while. Overall, though, I really enjoyed my visit.
Tried this place for the 1st time tonight. Was expecting more of a Mexican resturant when we got there, but found it to be something a little different, not really sure how to describe the place. Food was unique but satisfying, best onion rings that we have had in a while. I had the stacked enchiladas aka Radiator Lasagna - Delicious. When you order a bowl of quest or soup be prepared - the thing was huge. I wanna know where I can get some of them bowls. Nice place, definitely will be back, gotta try some other things listed on the menu.
I came to Torgue Grill & Cantina for a Realtor Boot Camp party Speed Networking Event/Party. It was very well planned with fun games, prizes and drinks and appetizers. It was a great place to network with contractors and vendor partners in the local area. After it was over my clan and I hung out for a while and started looking around at the very unique decor. It seemed to us like whoever designed this restaurant put a whole lot of thought into it. I felt like this is where I would have my next function for sure. Everyone was nice from the moment I walked in the front door and went on into the rear building where it looked like there was an inside & outside party area with room for two parties that could be going on at the same time. The Beef Enchilada Lasagna provided was not hot by the time we got there but still tasted great. I will recommend this great place for sure and will return soon.
Just enjoyed a terrific lunch at the Torque! We decided to stop in and try it and we're so glad we did. Enjoyed the Radiator Beef Enchilada Lasagna plate and a Turbocharged Carnitas Burrito plate. Both were fresh and delicious. Love their rice and they include fresh salsa and chips with the meal. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us and were very friendly. The restaurant was clean and loved the decor. We look forward to returning.
They have a really awesome 2 building set up that allows for them to have private party events and still serve the general public. We went on a Friday night when they had live entertainment from a local musician which was really cool. All of the staff members were extremely kind. They also have a cool online ordering system that allows you to order your food and pay from your phone. The food was great! Disc Brake Birria Pizza was delicious!
The food was delicious! Salsa was probably one of the best restaurant salsa’s I’ve had! Definitely would come back to try more. I only remove a star because the staff seemed a little confused and we had different servers asking the same questions as one who just took our order(what drinks we wanted, what margaritas we ordered, ready to order..etc) overall they were very friendly!
Service 5 stars Chips and Salsa 5 stars Chimichanga 4.5 stars Shrimp Cocktail 2 stars Presentation 3 stars Venue 4.5 stars We visited just after the lunch rush ended. Pretty loud in the main room, but when you soak up the location it feels right. Every table could use a fly swatter, but they stuck to the roll up doors for the most part. Man chips and chunky salsa 😋 are just the way I like them. Would come just for that. The 3 Shrimp Cocktail was a let down. High cost for three medium sized Shrimp. The Cocktail part was sweet which I didn't personally care for, but my wife really liked. The Chimi is served slightly smaller for lunch which is fine. The flavor was great. A little simple for such a cool place, but it was still good. It goes without saying the obligatory rice and refried beans failed to impress. Again, a place named and branded as cool as Torque could find some way to elevate these basic sides. This really could be the place, so close... We'll be back to try more dishes and hopefully they can improve the Torque.
I thought I would get a friendly hello when I walked into Torque Grill and Cantina at 4:55 pm today. Nothing! Waited! Nothing! Finally, a girl rode upon a broom. I should say, show up carrying a broom. But with the attitude she had, she should have been riding it! She said I needed to go out the backdoor. She pointed out the back door. I followed her pointed finger. I ended up outside, but there was a sidewalk to follow to the next building. Once inside the next building, I waited and waited. The building was empty, but someone showed up and pointed to a table after a while. There was no menu available. Waited. When the waiter did show up, he said to look on my phone. Looking over the phone menu and deciding what to eat took a few minutes, everything looked good. I decided I ordered the Impossible burger with cheese and a side of fries. While I waited for my food, they served me chips and hot sauce. They were good. The food took about 15 minutes to arrive at my table. There was no cheese, one small slice of tomato, three small pieces of pickles, no mayo, and a burn bun. See pictures! The fries were good! Recommendation: Save your money and go to Burger King,
This is a new restaurant with new employees that are in training. Service was bit slow but very friendly. Took about 20 min alone to get our ticket errors corrected and finally paid. Food is fine with no real complaints. They do need a signature dish or appetizer that is out-of-this-world delicious, and is the draw of customers. I might be back after they have overcome the learning curve.
I went in on a Sunday for a beer and apps... the beers were great, but the apps not so much. I ordered fried pickles and onion rings and they came out looking like dehydrated banana chips. If you look at my pics, that is how they came. We didn't even touch them yet. I'm nit expecting it to look fancy but at least make it look like it wasn't taken off someone else's table. We got 4 whole onion rings and couldn't eat them.
I don’t have much of a complaint about the food it’s self, but pricing of certain things are outrageous. You get chips and salsa with your meal when you eat in. But HEADS-UP if you order chips and salsa with side of queso to go it’s crazy expensive for the mini size you get compared to any other restaurant I have done this with. $17.85 for a small half bag of chips, small bowl of queso, side of salsa and two jalapeño sauce. Disappointed in a place I usually recommend. (I re-edited to 1 star due to the response. I am aware of the rising cost of food in general and I am also aware of how much tortillas, cheese, tomatoes and jalapeños cost. That was what prompted the original post.)
