The gourmet pizzas were so delicious. We ordered 3 different types of pizzas and they were all very good.
One word, AMAZING. Different than regular pizzas I've tried most of my life. All their ingredients come from Italy and you can taste the difference. The dough is so soft but chewy, it's something you have to just try. Apparently these pizzas are not meant to be crispy. They're relatively thin so don't hold structural integrity but the flavors are great. Wish I had found this place sooner.
Positive notes: - The ingredients are very fresh and you feel their good quality. - The pizza dough is prepared following the traditional recipe - No weird pizza toppings, just the traditional ones - The oven is kept very clean so you won't find a black unhealthy layer of burnt flour under your pizza as it often happens in many other places - The waiter was genuinely nice and helpful, without being exagerately fake and cheerful Negative notes: - Nothing relevant
The closest to Italy I have found. Thin. Flavorful. Perfectly cooked. The warm olives are such a treat. Great location. Relaxed. Great staff. They do not take phone orders for a reason. Everyone I bring here loves it. Daily specials you have to try before they sell out.
Truly great pizza, ingredients all seemed very fresh even though we arrived close to closing. Greeted by very welcoming Italian people. I’ve been working on perfecting my idea of a perfect crust for some years now, but their crust is great! Light, airy, crisp, with a bit of chew. Very impressed can’t wait to come back! Pesto pizza, chopped salad and bruschetta was slammin 🤤
Great staff and great pizza. This not your American pizza though. This dough is a little thin but overall the pizza varieties are super yummy! They only have one size of pie. So if you have a big family you nay need two or three.
Hands down some of the best pizza in town. Dough has a great bite, crust is well-developed with just a bit of singe and flavorful just on its own. Pies are large and well-portioned. We tried Margherita, Salsiccia, and Sapore: Margherita: red sauce is incredible, seasoned well to bring out the tomato! Salsiccia: meaty but balanced with the olives and peppers’ acidity. Sapore: my personal favorite. Typical arugula-prosciutto-burrata combo, but done amazingly. Prosciutto is tender and tears well with each bite, burrata is rich and creamy. Complemented with the olive oil standing out and the arugula’s freshness.
This is true neapolitan pizza, the flour and tomatoes are from Naples. The crust is light and delicious, its recommended to fold the pizza and take the point and tuck it in. The owner and pizzaiolo are directly from Italy. This is probably the best pizza around, especially that close to the airport. The wine prices were fair and generous pours as well.
Great pizza with great ingredients. Been there 3-4 times now with my son and its quality, he rants about it. Staff are friendly and pizza making skills are top drawer Keep up the good work😎
Amazing pizza! Traditional Neapolitan style! The Sapore pizza was incredible!!
The perfect family pizza night. Pizza the way it should be done. There's something for everyone. The Prosciutto con Burrata is always consistently fantastic. Try the Nutella pizza - the kids will love it.
Pistachio pizza was uniquely amazing and delicious
Incredible pizza! I've had original pizza in Italy while I lived there. This place is 100% authentic Italian. It's really good! The place is also very busy, yet they were able to accommodate us. They took a bit too long to take our order and the server gave us the drinks for free. Didn't need to at all, but he did anyway. Despite that, the food was fantastic on it's own right. And the ambiance was very friendly, family owned, rushed, but delicious. The thin Italian crust was amazing! Would highly recommend to anyone who likes original thin Italian pizza!
Was looking for a pizza spot in Burlingame and stumble across this. My wife and I are from Virginia and we enjoyed eating here. We has the pizza with buratta cheese, the salami salad and limoncello ice cream. Price was around $50 for all. Not too bad.
We had a great experience with Doordash before, so we decided to go and dine-in tonight. The food, service, and cleanliness were all great. My new favorite pizza spot in Burlingame.
Absolutely loved this place! The sausage at this place is the best I have ever had. So amazing I ate there two days in a row while visiting the area. The wood burning stove makes a delicious crust! I highly recommend this place!
The best pizza in Burlingame! A high quality traditional pizza. I love their pesto flavor. The pizza is hot and mouth watering. The sun dried tomatoes are also a great touch. The crust is not very thick so you can actually focus and appreciate the quality of the ingredients you order. Do give them a try!
The best Neapolitan pizza 🍕 on the peninsula. Tartufo is mind-blowing. Good selection of wine pairing.

Visited CA for the first time with some family members. Our first dinner near our hotel was here at Centro Pizza. I am so happy with this choice! Very good pizza! I have had pizza in Italy before, and this place definitely compares!
Some of the best pizza we’ve had in the Bay! Very authentic tasting, similar to that from Naples. We ordered a round of drinks, had some pizza, then top it off with dessert. We inhaled everything. Loved the vibes, music was playing and it wasn’t quiet but not too loud. Sports playing at the bar. We will definitely be back and bringing company with us.

People are sleeping on this place! I grew up w pizza in Jersey, NY and New Haven and Centro holds up. By far the best pizza in the Burlingame area and a top contender for best pizza I’ve had on the peninsula. A new regular in our rotation, already dreaming of the next pie from here.
Great food, had the caprese and it was phenomenal great burrata. The pizza dough was done to perfection and it was bursting with flavor. Will definitely be back when in town
A REALLY great pie! Light crispy crust, fresh toppings. Couple of nice beers to chose from and a nice variety of wines. Loved the music and the service. Would definitely go back. Easy ride from airport hotels.
Authentic Neapolitan style pizza! The quality of the ingredients is outstanding and the craft is amazing! Piazza Sapore and Tartufo are some of our favorites. Nice spot for a relaxed business lunch/dinner or if you want to spend some time with family and/or friends. Otherwise, do it the Italian way, order take out pizza and enjoy at home! Just make sure to call no more than 5-10 minutes in advance ‘cause pizza cooks fast! :)

Their pizza toppings are delicious. Pretty good food. The reason I didn't give them 5 stars is their pizza is too cheesy, even if you ask for less. I sent back mine and they were very courteous but my wife and sons who love cheese couldn't handle the excess. Their toppings are limited choices but they more than make up for it in delicious taste. I would recommend this place.
Tasty pizza! And good service. Restaurant is hot and loud though, so it was hard to fully enjoy the food and speak with my dinner partner. The pizzas are 12" so they are great for splitting with a friend. They did not let us order different toppings for each half of the pizza. They have ice creams for dessert which helped with the heat.
If you enjoy Napoleon style pizza, this place is pretty awesome. It's about a medium to large size per pie and cooked at high temps. The dough is very chewy and gluten filled if you like that (I do) The only thing preventing it being a 5 star is I recently got a pizza and added mushrooms, and they were the worst tasting mushrooms I've ever had. I'm not sure if it was the type of mushroom, or if they werent cleaned that well but they had a very STRONG earthy flavor that overpowered the rest of the toppings. I had to throw them all out, but it still left the flavor on the pie. And for the record--I generally a mushroom lover. Stick with Margarita or anything without mushrooms. Always great service in there, nice atmosphere, decent parking.
service is not great. i was given a glass with lipstick on it. the server took it and then instead of giving me a clean glass right away so i could drink some water, he went to help another customer. i was literally sitting across from the area where they keep the glasses and cash register - it would have taken him 30 seconds to replace my glass before ringing up the takeout order. then i saw that my fork had cheese stuck to it. this place seriously needs a new dishwasher. so i thought, well i probably don't even need a fork because it's pizza. turns out i was wrong. the pizza is very tasty and i like thin crust pizza. but centro's crust is so thin it's like a piece of paper and the first slices i picked up fell apart until i figured out how to use my fork like a spatula and then folded the tip in to eat. that said, i'll return for takeout because the pizza is very good even though it fell apart and the sauce is delicious. the margherita pizza could have used more basil though. and honestly if you are given not one but TWO dirty dishes in a restaurant, they should offer a discount or freebie. that part was really gross and i don't recommend dining in.
Pretty good! Portion is pretty big. Tried two of the red pies that tasted a bit similar. Next time perhaps I will try the white pies
Pizza Centro is better than many of the other Broadway food options (although unfortunately that is not saying a lot). Their pizza is thin with wonderful sauce and fresh ingredients, but it and most of the menu items I tried were not exactly balanced right. Sometimes it’s hard to get simple things right, and the pizza needed a little more salt. The salad was pleasant although the pears could have been riper, and the dessert was very one note with a cheap lemon flavor. Service was not attentive and the ambiance while cute could stand to have drinks that are in real glasses and added air conditioning (the pizza oven made it quite hot!) One pizza plus a salad was about the right amount of food for two people. But, a hungry person might be able to eat one whole pizza themselves. I would go back to try more pizza, potentially as carryout, but the friend I ate with felt like it didn’t hold a candle to places like Vesta. If you want a fairly expensive decent fast casual meal without traveling far, I don’t think you’ll be mad at anything here - but also, not likely to be excited.
Pretty Good Pizza, Chewy/Floppy style dough. Well-Made, appropriately priced ~ a good option! Margherita with pepperoni was $23, worth it

We ordered 3 different kinds of pizzas and while they didn't blow my mind they were cooked well and I believe they order their flour straight from Italy which is awesome. Also the bread that came with our bruschetta appetizer was probably the best bread I've ever tasted! All the ingredients tasted fresh as well. Would return!

Our family visited Centro hoping we'd discover a restaurant that could play a pivotal role in the redevelopment of the suffering Broadway Ave. We left discouraged. The pizza is good, not great. The dough is above average, but the toppings were sloppy (maybe that's intentional but it's not my favorite). We ordered the Smoked Salmon Bruschetta which came layered with mayo and what must have been French's mustard - it was unpalatable. Worst of all were the rock-hard garlic bread bites that I'm assuming were frozen and then put in a hot pizza oven. I couldn't cut them with a fork and knife - they were uneatable. On the bright side, the staff was attentive and accommodating, particularly the folks who came over from Sapore. The atmosphere is inviting and a welcomed change for Broadway. I'm hoping with a few tweaks this place could turn the corner.
The worst pizza I’ve eaten. Extremely overrated place. We ordered two pizzas to go (approximately $40). I understand that it’s their special signature to have “grilled” marks. But it’s impossible to taste any flavor in these pizzas because of it. The burnt dough overpowered everything. Don’t recommend this place.
I wasn’t expecting this. Half of the pizza was burnt and had absolutely no flavor. The peppers on top were completely burnt, and I had to pick them off. I’ve tried many Italian pizzas before, but this was the worst. I don’t recommend it.

Food was good, but I don't like it when mystery fees get sneaked into my final bill. I was planning on ordering through Doordash but it was giving me trouble so I went to the store to order takeout directly. Later I noticed that despite being the same pizza with the same extra toppings, there was an additional mystery charge of $2.20 for the in-store pizza. Ask them to show you the itemized bill before you pay in person. I thought I was cutting out the middle man, but turns out Doordash was more transparent than the actual restaurant.
