Family style was great for our group ❤️. Garden salad was perfect: crispy and delicious. The chicken was so good it was devour before it could be photographed. The bread was scrumptious. The lasagna was a bit dry with a slight tartness, I wasn't used too. Everything was so good so I think it's how it made so if you want it different, suggested it while ordering. Overall, great experience!

Moises was our server and he was absolutely amazing. He was very friendly and we all felt very comfortable with him, he was very compassionate. He also gave us recommendations on very popular dishes and we ordered them and they were the best thing we've ever eaten. We underestimated the size of the dishes, they were humongous, but the food was amazing. Will definitely be coming back again and I hope we get Moises as our server again. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!

Buca di Beppo gave us that authentic Italian family vibe right from the start. We were led through the kitchen on our way to the table upstairs, which was such a fun and unique touch. Our group of five had plenty of space, and the cozy, lively atmosphere really made it feel like a big family dinner. The food came out family-style, and the portions were huge! Their “regular” size for 3–4 people easily fed all five of us, with leftovers to spare. We tried the chicken parmesan, Alfredo with chicken and shrimp, and a big loaf of garlic bread—everything was fresh, flavorful, and so satisfying. Our server Julio was fantastic—so kind, attentive, and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for a spot that combines delicious Italian comfort food, a warm atmosphere, and great service, Buca di Beppo is a must!

This family-style Italian restaurant serves some really good food. The portions are large, which can result in leftovers if dining as a couple, this could be an issue especially before heading to Universal Studios Hollywood. You don't want to be walking with a big box of leftovers. The waiter that helped us that day was very kind and very helpful. I will definitely be back with a group of four next time.

An enchanting italian restaurant with one of the most friendliest and kind server, Moises. He went up and beyond for my daughter and her BFF of 10 years to celebrate a warm 13th birthday. This was our first time here and Moises made sure to explain the menu in detail and check on us regularly. He truly makes this place magical. Thank you, Moises.

Buca di Beppo at Universal CityWalk was such a fun experience! We loved it. The portions are huge and perfect for sharing, and the food tasted amazing. They also have a kids’ menu, which was a big plus for our family. On top of that, the servers were so nice and very attentive, making the whole experience even better. Definitely a place we’ll come back to whenever we’re in the area!

Had a great time! Loved the pictures and decorations! Lots came with the order! Food tasted great. We are very patient people and felt like service took a while to close the tab. But had a great time. Cheesy bread was delicious! Pizza had a flop that had a great Tang and taste!

A nice Italian-American restaurant hidden at the far end of the Universal City Walk. Entrance is very unassuming but the interior is very nice. Shoutout to our server Moises who’s very accommodating. The food is good as well. I’d say it is an americanised italian cuisine but nonetheless very tasty. Portions are massive and the price is pretty reasonable for a sit down lunch. We paid 50 (for food) for our chicken parm with alfredo, lasagna, side salad and soup and 2 drinks.

Moises was excellent and made our experience good at the restaurant drinks and food were great with fast service. He's been our server multiple times and ALWAYS provides fantastic service.

Mixed experience. The food itself was good and well-prepared. However, the service left a lot to be desired. The server was very pushy about ordering drinks, which felt uncomfortable. We received our appetizers and mains but were not provided plates for about 10 minutes. When we brought this up, the server repeatedly said he had informed someone and that we would get them shortly, but there was no sense of urgency or follow-through. Good food, but the service issues took away from the overall experience.

Here is the breakdown of the experience: ​The Atmosphere ​The decor was fantastic. As expected, the kitschy, maximalist Italian-American aesthetic was in full force. The walls are packed with photos and memorabilia, making it a fun, high-energy environment—perfect for the Universal CityWalk vibe. ​The Food ​Unfortunately, the kitchen didn't quite live up to the surroundings: ​The Pizza: To be honest, it was not that good. The crust and toppings lacked the punch I’ve come to expect from their ovens. ​Lemon Chicken: This is usually my go-to favorite dish, but this time it fell flat. It was surprisingly bland, lacking that bright, zesty citrus kick that usually makes it a standout. ​The Service ​Our server was incredibly nice and clearly trying their best, but communication was a struggle. They were very hard to understand, which made ordering and asking about the menu a bit of a challenge throughout the night. ​The Verdict: I’ve had much better experiences at other Buca di Beppo locations. While the atmosphere is great for people-watching at Universal, the food quality at this specific spot didn't match the standards of the brand.

Stopped for dinner here after our visit to Universal Studios Hollywood. Great Atmosphere and great service, no doubt. The portions? Hearty. We ordered the Lasagna, Chicken Carbonara and a Sampler trio with Shrimp, Calamari and Cheese Sticks. Everything was delicious but I couldn't help but notice the Lasagna to be way too salty. Not sure if it was the sauce itself but it was very noticeable indeed as that was the one dish that everyone had less of. Anyhow, great restaurant and great vibe.

We had tried to call them to book an appointment for dinner, but the 2 people at the reception war, very hesitant, say that the available slot is only one and a 1/2 hour away. I have not been at this franchise for a while. Over all the food is great. The service is great. The waitress was good and but the photographer. They do offer a complimentary group photo. A free 3x5 size photo. A larger one will cost additional $. This photo thingy that they do definitely add to the experience but can also kill the mood if the photographer takes it the wrong way when we say no thanks. This is what happened to us. Just accept the answer and move on. No need to be negative about it and persist and say things like "well is your lost".

Love this chain but some of these locations are just not up to par. The hostess was a lost cause, she had groups of people waiting for 20 minutes or more for a table while half the restaraunt was empty. She also had attitude.Server was blah also. Prices are getting way out of line but we still come becuse we like the food. The pasta had no garlic which is a smell that buca always has, not this one. Food was decent but not as good as other locations. Manager needs to deal with these issues !

We had a reservation at Buca di Beppo, but despite arriving on time, we were seated 40 minutes late. There was no clear explanation or apology from the staff, which made the long wait even more frustrating. What’s the point of making a reservation if it isn’t honored? When the food finally arrived, the experience didn’t improve. We ordered two pizzas and the Italian sausage, and all of the dishes were extremely spicy — far beyond what would be considered mild or even moderately seasoned. No one informed us that these items would be that spicy, and there was no warning from our server. The excessive spice completely overpowered the flavors, making the food difficult to enjoy. If the dishes are prepared spicy by default, customers should absolutely be informed beforehand — especially at a family-style restaurant where people of all spice tolerances dine. Overall, between the long wait, lack of communication, and overly spicy food, it was a very disappointing experience. Unfortunately, the service and food quality did not meet expectations.
