Seating was comfortable. tables were well spaced. Waitress was very pleasant. Atmosphere was pleasant. OF the four meals served to our table I think we rated them Good, Good, Very Good and the pasta stellare- EXCELLENT. Meat cooked perfectly, mushroom sauce on the tortellini was OMG tasty.! Ample portions. Pricing what I expected. Waitress was very pleasant.. Wasn't offered a refill until meal was over. NO cannoli.! We'll return again and probably yet again...

Workin' my way through their vegetarian options all of which have been great, though I wish arancini were on the menu... The evening dining experience on the patio, close to the building under the sun umbrellas was fabulous!

A friend suggested that we try Wise Guys during a trip to Clayton. We were definitely pleased that we went. The food was absolutely amazing and the service was exemplary. A NYE takeout order for a family of 8 and everything was so fresh, delicious, and worth raving about. Even on a busy holiday evening (and their final night open for the winter season) we were impressed with the quality, service, and accuracy of our order! We waited about 30 minutes longer than our quoted time for pickup, but the end product was worth the wait. (2) large antipasto salads, bread, 18" pizza, Italian wings, (2) chicken parmigiana meals, (3) chicken cordon blue meals, spaghetti & meatballs, tenders + FF, and a perfectly rare pasta stellare - plus enough house dressing to make sure everyone could have enough (it is literally liquid gold and sold by the bottle, as well!) I cannot recommend this establishment highly enough for an intimate date night (we visited for our anniversary), or to feed your entire family a delicious Italian meal... they have the ability to make any occasion special, no matter what you're celebrating. Plus, the new building is simply gorgeous! We will be back in the spring!!

Wise Guys is always my "go to" place for a wonderful meal. The pizza is especially good, but the other meals, such as the di Angelo, are definite crowd pleasers. Whenever we have guests visiting, Wise Guys is a must to take them to. As stated, the food is excellent, prices reasonable, and the wait staff is always friendly.

What a beautiful restaurant. The seating overlooking the lake inside or outside, outstanding and professional waitstaff. The food was not only tasty but beautifully prepared and served hot with a beautiful presentation. The wine list was diverse and accurate. First time going to wise guys and I'll definitely be back. Server was knowledgeable about the menu and was able to tell me what was gluten free. I wasn't thrilled with the small gluten free menu but found out I was able to substitute the gluten free cheese ravioli into any of the pasta dishes so I was able to have that with seafood and Alfredo sauce. The small salads are pretty big so be prepared to get almost a full sized salad when you order one. We all enjoyed the drinks and desserts as well. I will definitely be back. Thank you for having gluten free options so people like me can enjoy delicious Italian food.

Excellent food and service! My brother and I took our parents here for their anniversary dinner and were pleasantly surprised by how good everything was. We definitely got more than we normally would have because of the occasion. 2 appetizers: La Bomba (caprese salad) and Polpetta (meatballs), both were good. A couple of us also got a side salad and a Caesar Salad that were perfectly acceptable. 4 entrees: Trio Perfecto (seafood pasta), Shrimp Alfredo, De Toni (scallops in pasta), Tortellini Aglio (sausage in pasta). All of our entrees were delicious, with the Trio being the mutually agreed best tasting. I personally got the Aglio and really enjoyed the slight spiciness of it. 3 desserts: Chocolate Panna Cotta with orange zest, Canolli layer cake, and Sweet Knots (similar to sweet cinnamon rolls in a breaded knot form). Everyone else really liked the Panna Cotta (I'm not a chocolate person) and we really enjoyed the Sweet Knots. The Canolli cake was fine, but definitely took 3rd place. Our server was Amber and she was great! Personable and on top of things, despite being quite busy. Very clean restaurant and bathrooms. No complaints whatsoever.

The Trio Perfecto seafood dish is the epitome of love at first bite, this meal sent me into the spiritual realm I’m telling you!! The garlic bread appetizer was so delicious too. Margarita pizza was amazing. Only cons: My relative’s chicken tenders looked more like thighs size-wise, the ravioli entree was in waaay too much sauce. However I would go here again, the drinks were a hit and the meal I had was incredible. Servers were friendly and professional, atmosphere was flawless.

From the outside you wouldn't believe the inside. It's absolutely gorgeous! The food is awesome and the prices are reasonable. The staff is great as well! Simply love this restaurant. Almost forgot to mention that ya gotta try the pizza and or wings as well! They've almost finished constructing the brand new more spacious restaurant overlooking the lake and plenty of off road parking. You really have to come see it to appreciate it. Well, I hope I've said enough for people to get out and come see, visit, and definitely patronize this restaurant.

I don't even know where to start. My gf and I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant. This restaurant was literal perfection. She ordered the chicken Parm and I had chicken Marsala (at the recommendation of our waitress) both plates were out of this world. I can honestly say that the Parm and Marsala was probably the best I've ever had. The portion sizes are huge and the workers are friendly and professional. The house Italian was so delicious I bought a bottle to take home. This place is a 20000/10 I highly recommend it!

A superior option in the North Country. The food is consistently exceptional. The portion sizes and wine pour are generous. The service is very attentive, friendly and professional (even when they are slammed). The owner makes a point of personally welcoming and greeting everybody. It is evident that it’s “a hands-on” family restaurant that prioritizes superb food and a pleasurable dining experience. As a side note we have frequented the restaurant at its old location many times and once this summer at the beautiful new location on the lake. It is absolutely gorgeous. 5 stars

My husband and I visited Wise Guys restaurant for the first time as a combination anniversary and birthday celebration for both of us. We enjoyed our dining experience very much. The staff is very friendly, the atmosphere festive with the Christmas decorations and music and the food was very excellent. My husband and I try the clam chowder, which was very rich and creamy and the best I ever had. He got the ravioli with meatballs and sausage and I tried the chicken cordon bleu. For a dessert. We got a very decadent chocolate layered cheesecake. The one thing I learned for myself personally is that if you are going to have an appetizer that is creamy like the clam chowder, to do a less rich dinner plate choice. The chicken cordon bleu definitely has a very delicious cream sauce, but it just became a little too rich for me. My husband loved his ravioli dish. We have no complaints about any of the food in general and we definitely visit again. It's definitely a lovely fine dining local restaurant where you can take that special someone or have a family celebration.

Some of the best Italian food I have ever had. Great portion size. Everything is homemade and not super heavy! We ordered a bunch of cocktails, I would just say that everyone needed to order another shot to put in them because we couldn’t really taste any alcohol. That would be my only complaint.

Dined here last night for the first time and can honestly say was by far the best meal I’ve had in a long time! The garlic knots were fantastic & I order the Trio Perfecto... delicious! We were a party of 9 and no one had a single bad thing to say about their meals; each ordered a different dish. My 9 month old son also devoured everything he was given. I wish I caught our waitress name, she was extremely kind and attentive to our large group. We’re here every year for 2 weeks and we plan on coming back before our stay is up!

I wasn't sure what to expect but was in awe from the atmosphere, hostess, our server-Rachel, extensive menu and the perfectly prepared and beautiful presentation of our appetizers, entrée and desert. Great food, good price. Was surprised at what a cute place this was. The outside looks like a pizza shop but when inside it was very nice. We got a desert to share which was delicious. Our service was slow but our waitress was sweet. They also were very busy. Over all we would go back in a heartbeat!

We love coming to Wise Guys. The respect we see between Andy the owner and his staff is wonderful to see. Always great food and service. As you leave, everyone you meet that works there says " have a good night". Prices are great and I always get a dessert to bring home. Dining out has been different this past year, not enough help, slow service, mediocre food etc. I am happy to say I experienced none of this tonight. We pulled in with a party of 16 and were seated immediately. Our server Jen bought out our dinks and food in a very timely manner and had the biggest most welcoming smile on her face. It was also a milestone birthday for my Aunt. Our server Jen coordinated the whole dining room to sing happy birthday to her and even gave the patrons her name. She went above and beyond. Surprisingly high end Italian restaurant in a small town. Had a terrific time sitting at the bar. Two women working the bar couldn't have been more friendly. Food and drinks were amazing. First time at Wise Guys tonight and it was great. First off, I did screw up making a reservation but the super nice man (assuming an owner) was still able to find us a table. We had a great seat next the window, food was fantastic, server was friendly. We were too stuffed for dessert but got it to go and it’s fantastic. I love that they have a specific gluten free section on the menu as well so you don’t have to try and guess. Definitely want to come out there more often.

Wise Guys won taste of the town in 2022, so I had to check it out, and it lived up to the recognition. The Ristorante offers casual dining in an elegant atmosphere, with great views of the water, friendly staff, a great selection of imported wines and domestic beers, and a variety of pasta based entrees. We had lasagne and chicken cordon Bleu, and both were delicious. The prices were very reasonable. I highly recommend it there. Reservations are encouraged through yelp.

The place is amazing. The service is very professional with a wonderful atmosphere. The servers know a great deal about all the dishes and are happy to answer questions and even help take group photos. The food has been exceptional on the two occasions that we have visited so far. Each visit there had been a new special to choose from and it's been delicious. Last visit we tried tres lemon special that had lobster, shrimp and scallops on a bed of angel hair pasta and lemon sauce which was wonderful. This visit we had the Mufasa special with beef tenderloin, lobster, scallops on tortellini and a light sauce with a delicious hint of umami. I had a chicken Marsala with sackatini pasta, the sauce was absolutely exquisite with the thick mushroom sauce and a hint of walnut in the stuffing of the sackatini pasta amongst the ricotta and mushroom. My husband and I absolutely loved our first experience at Wise Guys. The person who sat us (possibly the owner) was so kind and happy to see every single person dining there. Came from Florida to take my cousin to dinner for his 70th birthday. Its a beautiful restaurant. Giant windows look over the expansive outdoor patio and Lake Ontario beyond that. The sunset made this venue even more lovely. Our server was personable and professional. She did an excellent job taking care of our every need. We ordered a variety of items off the menu. The pizza was perfect. The Feta salad surprised us as it is served warm. Sounds awful I know, but it was delicious. Certainly one of the Stars of the night. Their version of alfredo was really very good too. Dont miss the De Toni or the Lasagne either. The dinner was capped off with a spectacular Roman candle along with dessert while we were serenaded with a birthday song by the owner and the staff. Thanks to everyone who made it a memorable evening. This place is not to be missed!

Always a great dinner at Wise Guys! We've had everything from the pizza to the pasta and the garlic knots and garlic bread for apps. The food is always fresh and homemade. This time I ordered the Rigatoni and Broccoli and it was very simple and very good! The pizza is also very good, nice thin crust with a little bite without being too hard or too thin. We LOVE the house dressing and always get the salad just for the dressing. We always come here for nice quiet date nights without the kids. Dessert is always good but we're always too full to eat it there. Reservations are recommended as this place, when they are open, is busy!

Great experience again this year! We received fresh warm delicious bread after we were sat. I ordered the Chicken Marsala; it was amazing! The sauce is a cream base with organic chicken and mushrooms. Most Chicken Marsala dishes have more of a broth sauce but i throughly enjoyed the cream base; flavor is one of the best I have had. Everyone else with us enjoyed their dinners as well. Thank you for a great meal!

What a treat to have dinner at Wise Guys Ristorante on our vacation. Our server Jen was excellent and she made the night even more enjoyable for the seven of us ages 17 to 82. We enjoyed the chicken Parmesan, Veal Parmesan, as well as raviolis and seafood. Jen suggested we order the sweet knots for dessert and she was right, they were even better the next morning with our coffee for breakfast. I now have a new favorite drink a peanut butter White Russian. A very relaxing atmosphere and delicious food and drinks. Definitely call for reservations.

I have to start by saying that this place is beautiful inside and outside Great view, great location, decent amount of parking and the outdoor fire place...oh man soooo cool. The food is good but honestly, I think it could be great. I think the food presentation can definitely be improved. As far as customer service, I would respectfully suggest that the team that is supporting the floor to be more attentive especially when the restaurant is full. Sometimes checking on the table from time can go a long way Cannot wait to go back!!

The service was very good. My husband ordered the evening special with shrimp and scallops, for $25.00 he got 3 shrimp, and 3 scallops with the pasta dish. The dining room is so loud we could barely hear each other at the table.

We are in town for a vacation and wiseguys came highly recommended, our first visit , we brought the kids and I thought everything was good except the portion sizes were kinda small the waitress wasn’t very attentive , so we made reservations again for our anniversary, and first off we waited 30 min for our table and there was plenty open , highly disappointed that they don’t even make their own ranch for the alacart salad that was lame , and then we get the scallops appetizer that looked like the scallops were in muddy water , we were intrigued by the special of the night tenderloin lobster with tortellini, Very disappointed to hear the tortellini were frozen, not freshly made nor is any of their pasta and for a fine dine Italian restaurant I would expect that

The new restaurant is beautiful and our service was excellent too. Our food was very good but overpriced and the menu is pretty limited Our poor server had to tell us that the beef dish I ordered, which was the only beef dish on the menu, was going to have to be charged $3 over the menu price because beef prices have gone up. I kind of understood and went ahead with the order anyway but was actually charged $4 over the menu price when our bill came. That was bad enough but the real shocker was that the drink “special” that 2 in our party ordered were $14 a piece!! Outrageous for what they were and for even a high end restaurant in the north country!! Those are New York City or Los Angeles prices where people are used to getting ripped off! So buyer beware! We will probably go back but only for special occasions and I will definitely ask for prices when we do go back which I hate to do but “gouge me once and shame on you, gouge me twice and shame on me”!!

Went for a birthday dinner, had a reservation for 7 pm, showed up around 6:55. I don’t mind waiting, but with a reservation it shouldn’t take 30 minutes before we get to our table. Sat down to order food and only half the table had put drink orders in before the waitress walked away. two of the Apps came out fairly quick, the others took 30-45 min. Also didn’t get one order of garlic bread. All willing to let it go, but then it took over 2 HOURS for our food to come to the table. In that time we were out of water, waitress said she was coming back with it and was no where. Luckily the food is fantastic, but i was overly disappointed in the experience. I have been here before and this is not the norm, but then for a close to $200 bill I was not impressed. Didn’t end up leaving until close to 9:45 for a 7 pm reservation. Very upsetting experience, not sure I will be back.

Summer in Chaumont. Have heard about this place for awhile, so decided to try it. It was ok, but certainly not over 3 stars. Entrées that should have plenty of sauce we swimmi g in melted butter. Those of us who had chicken agreed that the flavor was good, the chicken was tough, very tough. Sorry, but it sure fell short of all the hype. Honestly, my martini was the best part of the experience.

3 out of 5 stars Visited twice in the past week. The food was good...portions were perfect, and the speck I ordered was especially delicious. However, service left a lot to be desired. On our first visit, despite making reservations well in advance, my elderly parents (94 and 84 years old) were seated at the bar. When we politely asked to be moved to the main dining area, we were told it wasn’t possible, so we left. On the second visit, we were seated quickly in the main dining room. The food was enjoyable, but service was again lacking. Staff didn’t know how the specials were prepared or what sugar/sweetener options were available. My espresso was served in mismatched dishware, which caused it to spill...disappointing for such a small serving. The side salad was stuffed into a bowl too small to eat from comfortably. Overall, a decent experience, but not quite at the level of Pete’s. With some attention to detail and better service, this place could easily become a top choice.

We've been here for several occasions, and sad to say the most recent wasn't up to par. Four of us went to dinner, my wife and I had chicken parm, and the meat was like rubber. I know this happens sometimes, and to be fair the owner did comp 1 dinner. Also, it seems to me almost everywhere you go, if you don't order alcoholic drinks you're dismissed and get less than acceptable service. Adding insult to injury, I tried to use a gift card I'd been given as a retirement gift, but was told it had no money loaded on it. I think it'll be awhile before we go back, but again, this was our first bad experience. I wish the owners well in the new location.

Second time, both disappointing. Chicken in Alfredo dry, flavorless. Not enough sauce on spaghetti or Alfredo. Garlic knots overly garlic. Server did not refill water pitcher, group of 14. Menu uninspiring.

We were originally given a table in the bar in the corner, very dark and noisy. We asked to be moved, which seemed to take forever. We got put in the dining room and only a few tables filled. The waitress was friendly and helpful. I ordered the chicken Parmesan. It really didn’t seem to have much taste the chicken or the pasta. My friend ordered the Mafiosa, which was supposed to have scallops and shrimp in it which it did not have either so he finally asked, and they brought him out some shrimp and scallops. Four of us one ordered another glass of wine And it seemed to take forever he was nearly done with his dinner before it came. Not really impressed at all. Dining room was mostly empty only a few tables occupied but they sat us next to a couple of four and I could hear their conversation directly. I’m not quite sure why the tables were so close when they didn’t have to be.

We should have known when we walked in. Host took our name on our reservation. He said give me a second and I will set you. In the meantime the older man with the computer seat 4 guest before us. Our wait for our dinners was nearly 2 hours. I had lasagna and m6 guest had ravioli. Was not what I expected. Not good. The one positive was the beer was cold and it is a nice atmosphere. I would not return.

Our waitress was adequate at best. The “hot” fresh bread was flat hard on one side and very unappealing! As I looked at other tables that received bread they were fluffy a nice brown color and looked delicious. Ours no not at all! I ordered the chicken Marsala which I saw the pic on a review here and wow looked amazing! Mine NO! The sauce was a blush color hardly any sauce at all and had no flavor! My granddaughter ordered the chicken Alfredo which she liked however again hardly any sauce and when we took the left over pasta home the bottom of the bowl was nothing but grease! I asked the waitress for more sauce to go she said it’s all made to order so we’d have to wait. I said no thanks! A huge disappointment!! I am bummed I should have taken a picture of my chicken Marsala people would never believe the meals were from the same restaurant.

I ordered the De Toni, it was the most flavorless overpriced pasta dish I have ever had. I should have sent it back but didn't want to create a fuss in front of the other guests in our group.

The food was great! Unfortunately, the overall experience was lacking due to the absence of any meaningful server-guest interaction. There was no follow-up at all throughout the evening, which was disappointing. We were hoping for at least a check-in so we could place a dessert order and share a cake to celebrate our 11th anniversary. It was a missed opportunity to make the evening feel special.
