Fabulous! Old school ambiance… Excellent service…. Outstanding food… I had the best skirt steak ever.., The wedge salad with lardons and blue cheese was mind blowing…. Pound cake with gelato and caramel was a delightful ending…

Loved our dinner so much we returned for second visit in the same trip. Eddie gave superb service, would recommend to any patron of downtown Chicago. Thank you Eddie!

Recently came in for a nice Friday night dinner with the wife. Started with the Bacon which was really good, followed by the filet, and the ribeye Italiano. Pretty good overall. Couldn't leave without trying the buttercake. Excellent overall and definitely will return.

Steak was delicious . A little too well done it was almost burnt. Baked potato was a little undercooked but was still tasty . Sea bass was great just not a fan of the sauce . Overall service was great . Server was great. Drinks were delicious and strong.

Was staying at the Drake for a work convention. Came here for a team dinner. Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. Every bit of food was 😍. The service was impeccable and would make a point of coming here if I’m ever back in Chicago. We ordered apps, wide arrangement of entrees and desserts to share and every single person loved what they had.

Probably one of the best steakhouses I’ve ever been to! Food was great which huge portions! The crab salad and the Chicago Featured Cut were amazing! Service was excellent as well. Very friendly and helpful! I forgot the name of our waiter but he was Greek and an excellent one! Highly recommended!

Good steaks, good service. This was our first time at this establishment, and we loved our steaks. We will definitely go back. Macaroni and cheese were very good.

This steakhouse was a perfect dinner date for my partner and I who were on vacation in Chicago celebrating our anniversary. We ordered the crab cake and meatballs as appetizers. For the entrée we both chose the lambchops. For the sharable sides we chose brussel sprouts, mashed potatoes, and mac & cheese. The food was phenomenal, but Ryan, our waiter was the BEST! He was so personable, nice, and attentive. When we booked the reservation, we chose anniversary as the special occasion. At the end of dinner Ryan surprised us with a cannoli pastry dessert which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, the entire dinner was 5/5 🌟

Great excellent steak with special delicious crust, my server was Mr. Eddie, he was so nice, gentle and polite gentleman. I leaving the city in 6 days and I think I'll come again.

I will be dreaming about the rolls and the lobster got. What a treasure this place is. Food was so good I forgot to take photos. Chris and the entire team were very friendly and entertaining. Food was amazing. Can’t wait to come back here. This is a special place.

My boyfriend and I had our “fancy” dinner of our Valentine’s Day weekend in Chicago here. We are definitely not used to spending that kind of money on food but it was worth it!! Hands down the best steaks we’d ever had. Service was great as well.

Amazing evening at Rosebud. This was our first time as we live out of town. We sat at the table at and Kevin was our bartender, he was delightful. We ordered drinks and numerous starters to share. Drinks were perfect, the food was hot and delicious. We will definitely be back the next time we visit our daughter in Chicago.

We tried Rosebud Steakhouse last week on a recommendation from a guy we met at another bar that was too busy to accommodate our party and had a fantastic experience. Since all of the tables were full, we went to the bar- we had a party of 6, and we’re working out who was going to sit and who was going to float around so we wouldn’t be in an awkward line- when the manager came up to us and said that he’d pushed a couple of tables together so we could all sit together. So we took our strong, yummy drinks to the dining room (the bartender was super gracious about transferring our check) and all sat together. Once we were seated, we discovered that some of us had eaten and were there to drink while others of us were starving and still others were willing to eat again. Our waiter was really accommodating about this, which was really nice. So…I had the sole and it was delicious. The waiter deboned and plated it at the table which was kind of cool. My husband and I split a wedge salad to start and it was a really yummy wedge- crisp lettuce, thick bacon, and a really lovely blue cheese dressing. Farther down the table, someone had a burger, which presented beautifully but I heard wasn’t the most memorable. We split the following sides amongst the table: cauliflower au gratin (so good), grilled asparagus (yum), mashed potatoes (kind of dry). Oh I almost forgot- they brought out bread at the beginning that was wonderful!

Very nice Steakhouse. Good options for Steaks. I loved that they have 45 days dry aged cuts, normally you only get up to 30. Therefore meat has relly good taste and sear. Waiters are absolutely friendly and helpfull all the time. Very nice expirience and would recommend trying it out for sure!

I visited here alone and they gave me the table seat. I was worried because I saw a review there was a racism here, but I couldn't acknowledge that. The waiter was really nice, the whole employees cared me a lot. The steak was fantastic. It has been cooked what I expected, and the amount of the steak was enough for one person(might be too much for someone). The steak by itself was so good that I didn't even need a sauce. Not only just steak, the soup and appetizer bread was absolutely perfect. Had really great experience in Chicago thanks to Rosebud Steakhouse!

A+ Dining Experience. Every meal in our group was exceptional. Eddie was a fantastic waiter. Don't know the next time we will be in Chicago and decide to go top shelf, but I look forward to dining here again

We had a great meal here. Service was excellent, drink's were very good. Everything was 5 star except for the caprese salad. I love a caprese salad, so we ordered one. The tomatoes were good, the mozzarella fresh, but that's all that was positive. It had red onion on it, which I personally liked, but it was whole slices, not just a few rings. It was a bit overpowering. There was barely any Basil on it, and couldn't be tasted with all the onion. Also there wasn't much balsamic reduction on it. We were disappointed, but didn't let it bother us. My wife got the Asian Sea Bass and thought it was awesome. Fish was cooked perfect and the sauce was an Asian BBQ style that was great. She really enjoyed her meal. I ordered the Delmonico ribeye. AWESOME! I like my steak rare, and it was cooked perfectly. Great sear. Great flavor. Great seasoning. Just an awesome steak. If you're a steak lover, this one's for you! We also ordered mushrooms and onions for the table. Probably some of the best we have had to date. Great flavor. Not too soft but not too firm. A bonus to the meal is the bread. Great buns. Buttery and salty. Freshly baked. Our waiter was Eddie, and he was superb. Took great care of us. Very helpful with the menu and drinks. I'm really glad we had dinner here. It's worth checking out.

A really great steakhouse with wonderful service and food. It’s efficient and not invasive. Menu is straightforward steakhouse with a few extras. I had the crab cake, prime rib and an apple tart for dessert. All delicious. Also, portions are huge so share - even the steaks.

Chris is amazing!! He is apart of our family now. Coming to Rosebud Steak is like coming home for thanksgiving. The entire staff are special and Soo professional and friendly. We recently moved her from Atlanta and love this gem of a restaurant. It's old school and we love it! Think martini's meets Sinatra. No part-time servers, just career servers who know their stuff and have notice everything. The host staff are wonderful and welcoming. It's like a family in this restaurant. Lisa and I will be back often. Chris and Stephanie are amazing servers and hosts.

I have been going here for years and this is one of those classic Chicago restaurants with both phenomenal food and service. I can openly admit I've eaten my way through the menu and have yet to be disappointed. If for some reason you've never been I would skip a visit to whatever trendy restaurant is opening (they always need time to work out the kinks anyways) and go to this staple of Chicago.

Thanksgiving dinner!!!! Wonderful time at Rosebud. Western, Vivian, Henry, and Damian took good care of my wife and I. We had a great time here in Chicago. They were very attentive!!!! Blessings to you all. Thanks for the great experience!

I was visiting from New York and stayed at an Air B&B down the street. I wandered in late on a Saturday and sat at the bar, had a cocktail and ordered the 40 day aged Kansas City strip and a side of Mac N Cheese. It was cooked to perfection and delicious and one of the best ive had to date. My favorite part of the place was the atmosphere. The bartender has relationships with all the regulars, groups of old Cubs fan argue at the bar, it was great. Loved it so much I went back the next day and wet aged New York strip. It was just as impressive. I spoke to the bartender a bit more and he was very easy to speak to and had great stories.

I got takeout and assembled my plate at home. Steak: One of the best I’ve ever had. Mashed potatoes: Best I’ve ever had. Chopped salad w/ ranch: Great

Not sure where to start. We went as a group and shared a few items. Everything was perfect. The service is A+ and the atmosphere is refreshing. Can’t say enough and can’t wait to get back there as it’s a can’t miss type of place.

I will definitely come back! As soon as we entered, we were welcome and seated right away. Our waiter, Jay, was super informative and super nice. I ordered the Kansas City Strip in medium and it was seasoned perfectly and cooked to my taste. It was so delicious, actually one of the best steak I have had. The oysters were so phenomenal and fresh, I actually wanted to order more! Our sides were enough for a group of three to share around. Loved everything about this experience at this restaurant. We fell in love with Rosebud Steakhouse and the amazing wait staff. Our server, Chris, was the best tour guide to the richness of Rosebud AND Chicago. He was attentive and entertaining, informative and humorous, professional and endearing. The very best of high quality, timeless service. The service was further elevated by the veteran wait staff; one gentleman had been providing fost class service for over 50 years! We felt duly pampered and welcomed. We left with full bellies and happy hearts. We shared the Chicago cowboy cut (22oz) steak, medium rare. It was a BEAUT! Perfectly cooked, seasoned to perfection, and thoroughly rested for an amazing presentation at the table. Chris cut it for us table side! We shared the brussel sprouts (with the most amazing bacon lardon ever! and a brilliant sauce that I was too busy eating to try to fully identify) and the steakhouse mash (Chris gave the mashed potatoes a little extra love tableside, adding sour cream, bacon, chives and more cheese). For dessert we shared the brown butter cake with caramel gelato. The experience was sensational. Not an average dessert, made fresh in house at a truly above average eatery. We already have plans to come back in the summer. Rosebud Steakhouse will be our first stop in Chicago. If you're in town, stop by, ask for Chris and tell him the 3 cousins from NYC sent you!

A rapturous affair. Chicago cut ribeye, Oscar style. Truffle parmasean tater tots. Shrimp like a forearm. 10/10 highly recommended. My only regret is that I don't have 4 stomachs like the glorious beast we ate.

This was not our first visit and it is definitely not our last. We did a quick Amtrak to Chicago just to do New Year's Eve dinner at Rosebuds and they did not disappoint. Great food. Fabulous service. Ambiance. Perfect date night

My first time here, and this is now going to be a favorite stop on my frequent visits to Chicago! I love this restaurant! It is everything, and I mean EVERYTHING a Chicago steakhouse should have! I was here for Christmas dinner, and Eddie our server, was top notch! The service all the way around is top notch! The food was incredible! I had the corn chowder and Scallops, with a whole huge piece of Key Lime pie all to myself! Eddie warned my friend and it that they were big enough to share, but not me! You have to try this pie! I love the corn and Mac & cheese sides too! Thank everyone for a truly wonderful and memorable Christmas Day dinner!

We had an excellent experience! We came here for a special occasion and it was a memorable experience. The customer service was top notch from the moment we arrived. Our server Eddie, was a class act and took good care of us. The food was wonderful- the lobster got incredible. Highly recommend.

The sea bass was tender and flaky. The ribeye steak was flavorful and tender. The butter cake with gelato was ahhh oh so good way to top off a great meal.

Our steaks were over cooked. Dessert—Gooey Butter Cake was dry. Toward the end of our meal, we did not see our waiter for a long time. I was not asked if I wanted another cocktail. Just was expecting 5 stars like the rating we gave Rosebud on Rush.

It was my 1st time at Rosebud though my sister made reservations overall the food was awsome had penne w/there home made marinara it was sooo good as the Milanes though was Hugo had to take it home also had a Tirramasu it was Huge it was good 9.5 of 10 👍👍👍👍

The food was incredible. Place was also great and the portions were really good. Service could improve a little bit but still very good. The aged steaks were amazing highly recommend them.

We celebrated our child's birthday here. The service and food were both excellent—a very pleasant experience. America is all about the meat, isn't it? A wonderful restaurant we'll definitely visit again.

Had a reservation for 7:30 got there a bit early, they didn't mention that we had to wait or anything of the sort. They were not that busy as well. We got sat directly by the door, which was very cold since that day was when there was a small snow storm. They had many other tables open but decided that by the door was fine. They even acknowledged that the cold air would hit us a lot since the door toke a while to close. The food was great and our server was great too. Just the host could have been more accommodating since we also had a baby with us. I'm not even sure if he was the host or the manager.

Older, dusty, outdated, It was completely dead in the restaurant as I ate my meal. No music or anything, just silence, which is fine if you are home. I decided to play music quietly as i ate my meal, the owner of this restaurant complained about this, very stiff and dry much like the steak I ordered that was expensive and didn't come w a side at all, so I added asparagus at a 16 dollar upcharge. 🙃 I left a nice tip. I still had fun in Chicago
